Tilawen was starting to get frustrated with the drakien that had decided to try and kill her every time she went into the forest. Now any sensible person would just avoid the forest since it was obvious that the dragon wasn't going to get her out in the open. Wither it was afraid of her father or it just wanted to keep the upper hand knowing the woods so well was anyone's guess. Still Tilawen was getting annoyed with the beast, why it had decided to target her was beyond her knowledge and she wasn't going to stand for it anymore.
Staff in hand she was focused as she stood out in front of the forest, her glowing eyes searching out for the ysali dragon who had been giving her so much trouble. True she had been practicing with staff trying to get better with it, after all she had managed to smuck the dragon squarely on the nose, a proud moment for the girl though she had a feeling wood wasn't really much use against its hide or ...teeth or claws but she would just have to make sure she aimed for its face.
Quietly she made her way back into the forest every inch of her nerves ramped up to high as she walked in. Tilawen didn't want the dragon to catch her off guard again but since she hadn't managed to see it hidden before launching an attack at her she wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for. And sure enough she spent hours looking for the beast never once realizing it was stalking her.
Tired and about to give up the girl turned around only to almost crash into the beast that was only a few inches away from her. Apparently it too was trying a new tactic. Sneaking up right behind her mouth wide open trying to clamp her head in its jaws. Luckily because it hadn't expected her to turn around it snapped its jaws closed around air an was about to turn and try again when a branch came whizzing at its eye.
A shriek of pain and swipe of its claws knocked the girl down.
Tilawen groaned as she got up, it felt like a boulder had smashed into her, her arm ached as she retrieved her fallen choice of weapon though she still seemed able to move her fingers so nothing felt broken. The dragon however was thrashing wildly and making quite a ruckus. She had to avoid a tail swipe that missed her by inches as well being trampled underfoot. But she took this moment to strike at the dragon again, though discovered this only alerted it to her presence and more wild swings were made for her direction.
Too many narrow escapes and the girl knew the dragon was still out of her league, frustrated she retreated hoping that in its distress it wouldn't notice that she had made for the edge of the forest and back to the healers house.
