She was once again standing outside of Trevor's dorm room, something that had been happening more frequently as of late. She had a duffle bag today which meant she hadn't planned on going home, but Trevor was a good sport and didn't seem to mind.
She'd showed up about two weeks prior exhausted and crying and after a very rushed explanation they her life was in shambles, somewhat of an over exaggeration, but only somewhat, she'd fallen asleep on the couch. Life was getting better, Mrs. Collette's shooting and Johnny's death still weighed heavily on her mind, but she was sleeping more and she'd started partrolling again, though she hadn't been back to her own townhouse in the time. That was still a bit to much for her.
She knocked and waited hoping Trevor was in because she hadn't actually bothered to check, not that it mattered, she could wait anywhere on campus for him. His presence as of late had been a huge comfort and she was happy to have him there for her, in this time when she needed a friend. She didn't want to rely to heavily on Alex, who was avoiding her anyway, or her brother who'd had the misfortune of seeing Mrs. Collette when she came into the emergency room and while she was being operated on.
And added bonus is she had less nightmares when she was here and her parents weren't bugging her to return to England. She understood there concern, but it wasn't possible and she knew Xander was avoiding them as well.

Trevor was in the midst of making himself a small snack when he heard a knock on his door, he smiled to himself, knowing that it was Lily. He set down what he was doing and headed towards the door stopping in front of a hallway mirror briefly before opening the door for Lily. He smiled at her lightly "I should just give you a key" he told her and picked up her duffle bag "come on In Lily, You're welcome to come here as much as you want" he told her before lightly brushing a hair from her face and lightly touching her cheek with a finger.
He held the door open for Lily with her duffle bag in his other hand and waited for her to walk through the doorway. "I can fix you up something to eat once you get settled in" he told her politely. Lily had visited him numerous times with her life in shambles but he enjoyed the company she provided.

She gave a smile and a laugh before she preceded to turn bright red at Trevor's gentle gestures. She wasn't exactly unaware of her feelings toward the boy anymore. They were hard to ignore when she was spending as much time with him as she did, not only that she'd asked her sister about it and her sister laughed and teased her about her first crush and how long it took. Lily was mortified, but laughed along side her sister when Rose stated she beat Xander. Really their brother was totally oblivious.
She walked into the apartment, with a lightly nervous laugh, leaving her shoes by the door.. "If you give me a key you'll have to deal with me all the time. You'll never get any peace," she joked putting her purse and jacket on the couch and heading into the kitchen.
"I'd love a snack. I am a bit hungry. I had ballet class earlier today and I haven't gotten the chance to eat yet," she said looking perfectly comfortable in the kitchen, like she owned it. "Having a good day so far?"

Trevor chuckles lightly and closes the door behind her before following her in and setting her duffle bag near the couch. "you know..you're welcome here" he said. "Besides, I like the company..That may be true but if you think about it, you don't have to wait for me to get in" he told her before disappearing into his room to get the extra key that came with the apartment.
He walked back out and into the kitchen handing her the extra key "here..you can let yourself in when I'm not in" he said lightly putting in her hand. How she wanted to keep it safe was up to her, whether it was on a necklace or a keychain or what have you.
He disappeared behind the counter and finished up his snack and set it to the side before starting to make another one for her. "did you want anything to drink?" he asked her politely. "I have juice and water" he told her. Before answering her question "Its a been a pretty good day so far, pretty relaxing and then it got better when you showed up" he told her with a smile.

She smiled enjoying the feeling of not being a burden, which she knew some other's might feel if she intruded on there privacy all the time. She hadn't really though about whether Trevor needed time to himself before she just showed up and she knew she could be a bit clingy when she was stressed.
When he handed her the key she smiled and tucked into into her pocket to put on her key ring later when she got the chance. She'd but it right with her favorite key chain. "Thank, you really didn't have to do that. But thanks, it means a lot that your're so willing to put up with me."
She looked to the fridge when he asked about something to drink and smiled, "I'll have some water, but I can get it. You're already making me a snack." She giggled heading over to the fridge and pulling out a water, "what do you want?"
She blushed once more at his comment unconsciously tucking a curl behind her ear. "Aww thanks, you're so sweet Trevor," she said her dual colored eyes shining with amusement.

Trevor smiles at her before leaning slightly against a counter near the fridge and glanced at her "I never see you as burden..if anything I see you as someone that keeps me motivated to protect you" he told her lightly before opening the cupboard above his head and taking out two glasses "I'll grab some Apple juice" he said setting them on the counter top. He grabbed his plate and her plate and set them on the bar, before walking around and sitting on a bar stool.
He grinned lightly "I try to be" he told her besides since they were more or less a team when they were powered up but when it came to their civilian life, in some aspects they were still a team, in others they were individuals and independent and right now Lily needed him more then ever with the tragedy.

Lily nodded and poured some water for herself and some apple juice for Trevor, thinking on his words. She still didn't think she need much protection, but she found herself appreciating the sentiment because it made her feel he had her back always. He proved it over and over as of late and they were becoming closer and closer as teammates and friends.
She headed over with the drinks and gave another smile. She sat down handing him his drink before sitting hers down. "Thanks," she said leaning over to give him a kiss on the cheek, "thanks for everything. You're a really good friend."
She sat back and took a sip of her water before having a bit of her snack. She was blushing lightly, but she tried not to think about it. She really didn't know how else to thank Trevor at the moment and a sweet little kiss seemed like an nice enough thank you.

Trevor grinned slightly before taking his drink form her and taking a sip and setting it down on the counter before starting his snack which consisted of raw vegetables such carrots, celery and broccoli and dip. Healthy and tasty. He glanced over at Lily "I'm hoping you'll enjoy your snack...its one of your favourites..Celery with cream cheese" he told her.
"my pleasure, Lily" he said, he wanted to say 'anything for you' but that may just seem a little out there and creepy. "Its what friends are for" he said with a grin. He lightly ran a hand through his hair "dig in" he said. He smiled as he picked up a carrot and dipped in his ranch dressing and took a bite out of it.

She happily munched on the celery sticks with a huge smile on her face. She couldn't recall mentioning it, surprisingly enough, but she must have and it gave her warm fuzzies that he remembered. She also appreciated that Trevor at as healthy as she did. She never had to worry about having to many super unhealthy foods when she came over. She wasn't a fan or than many of them.
This was it wasn't it, why she kept coming over so often. Trevor seemed to be able to make her remember she was a healthy 19 year old girl with her whole life before her. Made her momentarily forget her troubles and just be able to be a young adult. It was a rather nice realization, even if a bit random.
She looked to Trevor, "yeah it certainly is and you know what else friends are for," she said pausing before answering the question. "Good friends are for having fun times with."
She smiled happily, "we should go out together sometime, like dancing or to the movies or something. You know be the young adults we are and forget our destinies, just for a moment." Of course by destinies she was referring to their night life being Maia and Lassell.

Trevor smiled and munched on his snack. He took a sip from this glass of apple juice and picked up a broccoli and dipped in it and munched on it. He himself wasn't a fan of unhealthy foods which is why he never went out for dinner, on rare occasions he did when it was a special event. He lightly leaned against the counter top and glanced at Lily.
"I would like that very much" he told her with a smile before giving her a light kiss on the cheek and then going back to his snack. "I wish we had those type of days more often" he told her with a light sigh, if anything he would be up for a dating Lily. He wasn't even sure how Lily felt about him, but he was hoping he would find out soon.

She of course blushed at this kiss placed on her cheek and almost spilled her water in the process because he caught her a bit of guard. She have another nervous giggled and wondered briefly if he liked her as much as she like him, but she pushed the though out of her head thinking that he was just being the sweet person he generally was.
"It's hard being college student and pretty much super heroes, but we have to remember to try to take a break and step back at time," she said looking at him with a smile. She took another bite of celery eating it with a grin before speaking again.
"Do you have any more classes today or practice? We could go see a movie this afternoon, if you like? Who knows when we will get another chance." She didn't mind heading out to do really anything even just going for a walk, they needed to enjoy the day.

Trevor finished off his snack and his drink before replying to her question "actually...I don't have anything to do today,its pretty a slack day. " he said before thinking about thoughtfully and speaking up again " How about we go for dinner and a movie?" he asked her. "that way we can enjoy the afternoon fully." he told her before jumping off his stool and taking his empty plate and glass to the sink.
He disappeared behind the kitchen counter and turned on the tap to rinse his dishes and then wash them putting them on the dish drying rack to dry. He glanced over at her "are you done?" he asked her politely. "because if you are we can clean up and head out to a movie and then dinner afterwards" he told her.

Lily gave a bright smiled and nodded, "that sounds like a really good idea. There are a few things out I want to see and I bet we will be really hungry when the movie is over." She finished up her last celery stick and took a few more sips of her water, while Trevor cleaned his dishes.
When he asked if she was finished, she nodded getting up and bringing the dishes over to the sink so she could clean them, "yeah I'm done" she said. She didn't want Trevor to feel like he had to do it because one she was there a lot and he was not a maid and two she didn't want to become a burden.
She grinned and quickly washed up the dishes and put them to dry before heading into the living room to grab her purse, fishing out her keys and putting Trevor apartment key on. "We're going to have so much fun. I haven't been to a movie in a really long time."

Trevor nodded his head and dried his hands "alright, lets get going" he told her and smiled before looking at her "so what movie shall we go see today?" he asked her. He wasn't sure what movie she wanted to watch. The more he thought about the more he realized that he had to agree. "I haven't seen a movie in so long either, It might be good for us" he said thinking about it.
