 Delta couldn't sleep. He'd woken up and now he couldn't return to his peaceful slumber. But everything was quiet. Everything was calm... Everything-- Movement outside. Who was wandering around this late? Delta glanced around, freezing when he realized what was wrong. Iota was gone. Delta carefully removed himself from his mother and siblings, quietly but hurriedly headed towards the sounds of hoofsteps. He had to find Iota. He was terrified out of his wits, but he had to find his sister.

 Iota had woken up. Something outside seemed to be calling her. Looking around she saw her family sleeping peacefully. Cautiously and as quietly as she could, Iota got up, without disturbing her brother Delta, who was sleeping beside her as always, she was always in the middle of her brothers, and crept out, careful to keep her wings folded close to her body so their flapping would not alert her mother. Creeping out, she went up and over the hill, following the call she felt stirring in her chest as the bright full moon gave its sweet light. After a moment, and sensing that it was farther than she could walk, Iota stretched her wings and took flight, soaring not too far aboveground, in case she got distracted, but high enough that her travel was fast.

It took a few minutes for Delta to find his sister. She was taking off. Where was she going? And why hadn't she told anyone? Iota knew how much their mother worried about them...
He was scared, but it couldn't be helped: he'd have to follow her. Delta quietly unfurled his wings, took a running start and took off. He kept Iota in sight, but he was far enough behind her that she hopefully wouldn't notice him.

It seemed like hours before Iota finally landed before the dull flaming stallion and his demon mate that had called her. She alighted and folded her wings in, looking up at Mister Ruin and the male with the wings like her. "Mister Ruin... Did you call me?" She asked confusedly.
Ruin grinned down and nuzzled the little filly warmly. "Yes, and I am pleased to see you came. Lacey, this is my mate, Demoni. he introduced warmly.
Iota nuzzled the warm male back and smiled at the other male. "Hello..."

Delta landed quietly a little ways away. He heard the adults talking about this stallion before. Ruin. From what he heard, the flaming stallion was anything but good news. Still, he couldn't just pounce. He was weak, for one thing. For another, he was talking to Iota... He crept closer, sure to keep an eye out for the four-eyed gaze of Ruin's companion.
Demoni smiled at the filly he'd been introduced to. "Hello. It's nice to meet you, Lacey." So this was the brave little filly that had caught Ruin's eye...

Lacey tilted her head at the bat mister and her gaze brightened when she saw his wings. "Hello, Mister Ruin's friend! Our wings are alike!" She grinned and fluttered her wings a bit to show them off.

Demoni chuckled. "Indeed they are. But you can call me Demoni, Lacey. 'Mister Ruin's friend' is a mouthful, isn't it?" He glanced at Ruin, as if either trying to accept a cue or give one. Which one of them was going to do the convincing? Usually it was Demoni, but since this filly seemed to like Ruin...

Ruin nodded at Demoni, intending for the other to pick up the convincing when he was through. "Lacey, I called you because me and Demoni had an... idea for you." He said softly, letting his flames burn low.
Lacey tilted her head and looked at Demoni, figuring out that he was the one that would begin talking to her, but was surprise when Ruin began to talk again.
"We want to offer you the best training you can get. From us. We will train you and help you learn until you are full grown and learned all you can."

Lord Demoni didn't miss a beat; once Ruin finished, he picked up. "I'm sure you've had some training already. Our training, however, is... uniquely advanced. I doubt you could find the same anywhere else."
Delta's eyes went wide in his hiding spot. They were trying to take her away. Lure her away. Kidnap her. If terror hadn't seized him, he probably would've sprang out and whisked her away right then. But he was frozen with fear. What was he supposed to do in a situation like this?

Demoni smiled. "There is a lot of different types. Endurance training for stamina, perception training that helps make you more aware... Between the two of us, I don't think there's anything we couldn't teach you." Hopefully Ruin could pick up where he left off to make it more... personally appetizing. Just as he turned to glance at his mate, something else caught his eye. Something that just opened its mouth in objection.
"Don't." Delta was doing his best to hide his fear, just like he learned to hide his worries from his enthusiastic but somewhat oblivious sister. "Don't... go." She couldn't go with them. He wasn't that smart, but he could at least see danger when he saw it.

Ruin glanced over at the little teal male, his eyes brightening fast in anger, but he suppressed it and turned back to Lacey. "Lacey, we could teach you all you wanted, and even more. Demoni could teach you to fly better than anyone else. Don't you want that?" He asked suavely.
Lacey looked between the two stallions and her brother. Why had he followed her, and why did he seem so scared? She cantered over to him slowly and loped a wing over his back. "Why not? I could learn to protect you better... And someday.. we could go against Reth..." She said, a hint of anger in her eyes at the thought of the male who had left momma.

Delta's ears flicked back, shrinking back slightly. "B-Because..." He fidgeted slightly. "Mama... Mama would be sad." He took a deep breath to keep himself at least a bit calm and prevent himself from crying. "I don't... want Mama to cry anymore. Especially not... because you want to fight Reth." That's why their mother didn't talk about him much, wasn't it? Stirring up trouble, even for her sake... if it upset Beta, there was no point.
Demoni glanced at his counterpart. Now what? Despite the terror that they clearly inflicted on this little colt, the brat was objecting. And what pure intent... it was revoltingly incorruptible. What did they do now?

Lacey glanced back at the stallions before looking at her brother. "Come on, Delta... Let's go back home..." She gave a said little smile at the stallions, before nosing her brother away.
Ruin grinned as the two foals walked away. "She will come back, and we will train her. We just can't take her with us." He grinned at Demoni.

Delta didn't need to be told twice. He stuck close to his sister as he headed home. He was relieved that he'd convinced Iota not to go with them, but he still felt uneasy...
Demoni smiled back at Ruin. "True... but I think this... Delta is going to keep squawking until his beak is smashed."
