An adventure a day keeps boredom away! And that is exactly what Isha set out to accomplish in the park! The weather had finally cleared up from all the torrential rain that seemed to surround the area, and everything sparkled in a lovely, yet slightly damp manner. Isha adored the days right after the rain, especially after leaving Baltimore! There was just a.. A crispness that came to the air, like biting deep into a freshly picked apple! The kid decided that it would be a nice day to go and collect some of the local flora for a little science project he was working on with his tutor, to discover more about the new area he lived on. A scavenger-hunt of course. Although it seemed a little silly to give a high schooler a scavenger hunt, he took it all in stride. After all, It gave him a reason to leave the house. Unlike his siblings... He wasn't stuck in front of a computer all day! Only most of the day. He laughed at this little joke in his head, and with with bike, he headed off to the park on the far edge of town.
The park was a sunny, yet eerily quiet day.. There was just an air of calmness that radiated around the wooded edge of the woods that seemed almost unnatural. Where were the deer? And the bugs! And the bunnies and beavers and gophers and all of the woodland creatures that he was so used to seeing! It was like today was a vacation day for all of them. Maybe he just hadn't ventured far enough into the woods. It wasn't as if he'd get lost! Not today, for he DID remember his phone!
Despite the quiet, it was still a gorgeous day. Everything was turning green, and the flowers were beginning to poke up between the trees, where the sunlight hit the ground just enough each day. In shadier spots, on fallen trees, or in the crooks of tree roots that decided they wanted to poke out of the moist earth grew mushrooms of all types. Surely the little things were poisonous, but goodness, some of them were quite the cute little things!
Like these ones! They all seemed to move in sync, waving around all happily in the breeze that billowed through the trees. They were all a deep, dark indigo color, almost black. With weird little polkdots on the top. Only two, really.. What were the strange little things...? Isha crouched down, giving the bunch of ten or so a poke with the end of the pencil he had brought with him.
Polkadots opened to reveal a pair of jet black eyes, and an angry hissing sound that sent Isha scrambling backwards. The hissing sound radiated around the wooded area, and all around that single indigo mushro0m, eyes popped out from the same place on the mushroom's hood, hissing in the same, irritated manner as the first.
"Uh.. Hello? I just thought you were cute.. I didn't mean to.. Uh.. Offend you? What are you guys anyway..?" The mushrooms were having none of it. Infact they stood up out of the dirt, and began to hobble to him; a marching battalion of angry plants, that couldn't move more than an inch per second. Even if they were adorable.. They probably wouldn't be the best thing to let get back to civilization.. What should he do.. Squish them?

Ahh rain, something about made Pippin dislike it so much. Maybe it was because he was cat and naturally cat had a dislike for water but for him it was because he didn't enjoy getting his paws wet at all, so the day after a rainy day was even worse then the rain! He couldn't escape the rain but he couldn't escape the wetness that it brought the day afterward.
He had found his way to a park in the far edge of town to try and avoid it by all possibly cause and it only seemed that it made it worst. Grass held water a lot more then ground. He had to remember this when another rainy day happen. But what was more horrible then that was that he was sensing something and it wasn't good. It was a youma and it wasn't far away. What could one possibly be doing out so far? Most of the time they stay closer to the city to get more people so this was a tad more different. He looked around and spot a young boy moving back from something and he was almost sure that it was it.
He ran as fast as his little legs could carry him and the closer he got the more he sense it but this time it wasn't a youma it was the sense that a senshi was around, and one that needed to be awaken!!! This made the little kitty overjoyed, though it was bad that he wasn't able to talk to him before the youma attack, oh well. He scurried up to the boy and smile. "Hi! I'm Pippin, yes I know I'm a talking cat, yadda yadda, no time to talk. Take this pen and yell, Avior Power-Make with all your might if you don't want to die!" he finish with a bright smile. Although the little angry yet adorable mushroom army approached him, hissing and glaring at him, it did not stop Isha from picking up a stick, and poking at the creatures. With a slight joy, he backed away from them, tipping them over every now and then and giggling as they struggled to get back up. They were pitiful little things, and it reminded him slightly of a cartoon he watched a few weeks ago. Something about a cutie kingdom who's warriors always ended up breaking themselves before they could even engage in their first fight. A soft laugh escaped from between his lips as he continued to lead the little bizarre things in circles.
When a talking cat appeared, he was momentarily baffled, though it only took a few seconds to reestablish himself, continuing to lead the march of angry little mushroom creatures. With his free hand, he took the pen, flipping it over a few times, before setting his gaze up on the cat.
"Well, hello to you Pippin! I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, but I don't really think I'm going to die at this very moment." His words came out calm, almost cheery, despite the seemingly 'dangerous' situation.
"Are you talking about these mushroom things? Naw, they aren't dangerous. Just adorable. And if anything gets out of hand, I could just squish them, right?" It didn't seem like these little mini mushroom fellows were causing much harm. The whole situation seemed a little silly to him.. Maybe he was running a fever from being outside in the chilled air too long.
