Lt. Leucite had not entirely taken Capt. Labyrinthite's advice to heart. He was patrolling on his own tonight, keeping an eye out for senshi. He had hoped to see some sort of combat soon, the last few nights had been completely barren of any prey - of any challenge - that he feared he'd begin to lose his mind if he didn't get himself a good fight soon.

He wanted to prove to his superiors that he was worth bringing into the fold - Labrytinthite most of all - he wanted to prove he could be just as strong and infamous as he was. If only to begin to make a name of his own in the Negaverse. He felt he owed it to his new "family" to give them everything he had, and rid the planet of the moon senshi for good.

Allowing himself to perch on the edge of a roof, crouched like a human gargoyle, looking out over the streets of the city. Yes - he would save the city from the moon senshi, no matter how many of them he had to fight. He stayed in his current position for a moment, trying to get a feel for the area he'd just arrived in. It was new to him and he needed to get his bearings.

Sailor Cybele liked to think of herself as a fairly decent senshi. She could hunt, she could fight, she could talk. Mostly. There was one things she simply refused to do, though.

She stared at the dumpster for a long time, as if waiting would give her the courage to start running across roofs without a care. Then, of course, she turned away, down the next alley, towards the Chaos aura she could feel nearby. What she planned to do when she found the source of it, she wasn't sure. She knew she wasn't in the mood to take any insults either for herself or her court. Maybe they would make friends, though even that prospect wasn't exactly thrilling to Cybele. "Friends" usually involved either delving into her stupid past and promises, or doing something else to imply she'd maybe fight for Chaos. Any of those implications she'd made in the past were probabally lies. Not that she cared a lot about lying, but even the thought of such words in her mouth filled her with disgust, because whether they were true or not, she'd been tricked into saying them.

There was something about wandering around through narrow alleys and dimly lit streets that made her uneasy. Maybe it was the fact that she'd been ambushed from above before. That time it hadn't been so bad, but she didn't want anyone who actually wanted to hurt her flying at her from the shadows above. That was why she was watching carefully. She didn't want to slip into the role of the hunted. When she saw the bit of shadow that almost could have been a person, she stopped. "Hello?" she called out, not completely unkindly.

Bingo.

He could feel the aura of the Order senshi below, and he licked his lips a little bit as he thought about his next course of action. Instinct told him to jump kick the ever living hell out of them - but seeing as he didn't know who or what they were - that could be problematic. Not to mention he had no desire to miss on his first attack.

No, this would require a bit of tactical thinking. Moving around to what he hoped was the rear of his target, he jumped down to street level, bending his knees to soften the impact as he landed, slowly standing and facing - he'd actually gotten in front of her not behind, damn - the senshi.

"Hello," he shot back - his voice level, barely containing the malice he held within his heart for the senshi and what she stood for.

"You do know it's not safe to travel alone sweetheart - there are dangerous people about," he grinned at her - his lip curling into what could only be noted as manic glee.

"You know, like me."

And with that, he charged her dead on - shoulder lowered toward her in an attempt to tackle her and take this to a grapple.

Most people would probabally not feel at all relieved to be knocked to the ground by a tough-looking stranger in a dark alley in the middle of the night. Cybele wasn't, exactly. Her mind was saying ow and now what and just generally panicking. However, even as she was falling, even as she landed hard on her rear, even as she wasted half a second blinking up at the Negaverser, there was a vague sense of... appreciation. Appreciation mostly for the fact that she hadn't been jumped on from above, which would have been much worse, but also from the fact that she didn't have to have a stupid conversation. Then, she remembered she was, in fact, on the ground with someone violent standing over her and there was no more relief at all, just adrenalin and a little fear.

"Yes, I'm so helpless. I should really be scared." Her voice was sickly sweet, and she smiled for effect. Not that she really had liked the 'sweetheart' comment, but she could go with it at least. Sort of. Still smiling, and still sitting on the ground, she threw out a blind kick, attempting to hit one of his legs. Then she scooted backwards, hoping to get a bit of distance so she could get up or use her attack or something.

"Thanks for reminding me."

Leucite grunted as the heel of her shoes impacted the top of his kneecap. Letting loose a string of curses that said many impolite and unkind things about Cybele's parentage and her penchant of doing unmentionable things to farm animals, before accusing her of being a lady of the night to lepers. All the while he limped after her, trying to convince his knee that it really wanted to move so he could not just return the favor to her, but double it.

He was hobbled, but far from humbled. Shuffling after the grounded senshi, his eyes looked around the alley to see if he could find anything he could use besides his own weapon to do some more damage to her. Not finding anything after a cursory glance, he gave up for the moment and turned his attention back to his target.

"You're going to regret not running while you had a chance sweetheart, I'm going to wreck you." Leucite hissed, forcing his knee to bend as he attempt to close the space between himself and the senshi and grab a hold of her - didn't matter where. He just wanted to make her hurt.

The content of his insults didn't really bother Cybele. There was no truth in them to make her angry, which was fine. The volume of his yells and the fact that before she could even get up, he was grabbing her, fingers digging into her upper arms like needles, did a good enough job of that. The panic she hadn't quite felt before bubbled up then. She let out something that was a mix between a groan of pain and a snarl. Her false smile was gone, replaced by a grimace, eyes burning.

"Better a leper than you," she whispered with a reasonable amount of spite. Not the best comeback, but she wasn't feeling the urge to scream insults like he obviously . Instead, she spat at his face, which was a little satisfying. Not that it really mattered. Mostly she just needed him off of her. But the pain was getting worse and tears started coming into her eyes even as she grabbed at his hands and tried fruitlessly to get them off of her. "Now shut up and let go of me!"

Maybe ordering your enemy about wasn't the most effective strategy. Cybele didn't care. It wasn't like she was just going to sit there and wait for him to listen to her, after all. She threw another kick at his legs, as it had worked well enough the first time, hoping it would be enough.

Once he had a good grip on her, he rode out her rage and hate, taking the spit full on in the face and making a note to make her pay for that as well. He was almost glad when her kick impacted his shin instead of his knee, but he went ahead and threw his body forward, trying to pin her to the ground. If he could get her on her back, well, she'd be fair game.

He tightened his grip as he attempted to bring her all the way down to the concrete. She could order him around all she wanted, and she might think he was worse than a leper - but he'd be damned before he didn't make her pay for being out alone.

"Heh, is that the best you got? God you senshi are pathetic - I thought ya'll were supposed to be dangerous." He hissed in her ear as he tried to take her down.

He was right, of course. She was pathetic, reduced to a sobbing, muddy mess as the needles of pain in her arms became daggers. It wasn't like she'd been taught how to fight. Mostly she'd just tried random moves and hoped for the best. It had kind of worked, until now. There were a few instincts screaming at her, though. Don't get taken to the ground, one said, which wasn't very helpful when she was already knocked to the ground, flat on her back. The other feeling was much stronger.

Stop! Just make it stop! Make it go away!

"Stop!" Cybele gasped, for real. It was all she could manage to say. She let out another barely human wail. It was probabally rather high pitched and unpleasant, not that she cared. Then, she stopped feeling sorry for herself. This guy was insulting her court, insulting her, and hurting her, and she was in a bad position, but far from helpless. Not able to kick anymore, she tightened her own grip on his arms, driving her nails towards his skin. They hit fabric. Oh well, maybe it would be enough. Enough to stop him from hitting her, at least. "I said, stop! Get off me!" Her voice was filled with anger, not that it really mattered. She started struggling, feet planted firmly on the ground and trying to turn to the side. Maybe it would work? She had plenty of strength left, anyway. "...Monster."

Leucite didn't care if she sobbed, wailed or shouted at him to stop. As long as nobody interfered with what he was doing he was going to see it out to its conclusion. He was glad she wasn't trying to kick him anymore, but the pressure on his arms was enough to keep him from risking pulling back and punching her. Punching was of course, not the only attack left to him. Tightening his grip on her arms, he pulled her closer to him, while bringing his head forward, aiming his forehead for her nose.

Headbutting might be considered dirty fighting - but Leucite was not above using every dirty trick in the book to win a fight. He didn't care if it made others think poorly of him or not - he just wanted to win.

He didn't respond to her monster comment - frankly because he didn't care. If she thought he was one - that was fine by him. He hoped he gave her nightmares later.

Her attempts to struggle free didn't work. Reflexes tried to take over when he headbutted her, but she didn't have a lot of room to move, so she only managed to turn her head a little. A bit of her cheek and her nose exploded in pain. She screamed and kept thrashing as her nose began to bleed, mixing with the tears from her sobs.

Then she did the closet thing she could to pausing. She stopped her useless struggling and took a single, shaky breath. She wasn't going to just sit there any longer. She wasn't going to keep begging him to let her go. She was going to do something. He wanted a fight? She'd give him one. He wanted to wreck her? He'd already gotten that as far as she was concerned. She looked straight into his eyes, no longer begging but commanding. "I said let go of me."

She started fighting, trying to channel the pain into energy. She started with a few kicks, though she wasn't in the best position for them. As they were pretty much locked together, it would probably hit something. Next, she tried a headbutt of her own. Maybe it was stealing his move, but she was desperate and this wouldn't be one of her more glorious fights no matter how anyone looked at it. As she did so, she tightened her grip on his arms and twisted, trying to push him away from her.

Kicks rained down on his gut, thighs and groin. The unexpected headbutt caught him square in the forehead. His vision swam for a moment and he saw stars. His grip on her loosened appreciably and soon she had pushed him back, forcing him to stumble precariously on one knee as the rest of his body tried to fall over.

Unfortunately, gravity tends to be the victor in these battles and he toppled over next to her, grunting harshly as he landed, before he rolled. His forehead still stung, his eyes full of tears as he forced himself back upright. His knee was still fussing, and his shins, stomach and groin all told a story of intense anguish.

"Oh you are so ******** dead," he gasped, and hobbled toward her, his good leg gearing back to kick her in the side if she hadn't already stood. If she had managed to scramble upright, he'd kick at her midsection again, in the hopes of getting her back down on the ground.

Cybele couldn't afford to waste time. She didn't. His grip on her finally loosened after the barrage of desperate attacks, and within seconds she'd finally pulled herself free. She relinquished her grip on him as well, using her hands to push herself up instead. She rose to her knees as he fell, spending a moment savoring her freedom.

Bad idea. The kick slammed into the middle of her stomach completely unexpectedly, despite his warning, partially over the healing bruise from a previous fight. The momentum knocked her back a little. She didn't fall to the ground, though. Instead, she doubled over groaning and clutching herself as if it would help. It didn't. Any hope of running or fighting had been temporarily dispatched along with her breath. It was all she could do to shakily stand, rising to her full height at last though she was gasping awkwardly and probabally not graceful or intimidating at all. She turned to him, teeth clenched, eyes steady "I... think you... missed your chance for... that..." she managed, though it was not easy to catch your breath with a nose full of blood.

Leucite growled, panting a bit as he shakily stood there. It was odd to be at a stalemate when he'd so earlier been pressing the advantage. His entire lower half of his body screamed from the abuse it had received, and he wouldn't be surprised if he ended up peeing blood later.

"Heh," he barked out, laughing a little as he slowly started to circle the girl. "I'd say if you don't run soon, you'll of missed out on your chance to run."

She could flee - and MAYBE he'd let her go...

Or he'd press the attack again - ill advised as it was.

She blinked as she turned so he was never behind her back. "Run?" The suggestion was a genuine surprise to her, though it really shouldn't have been. "Why? Because you're... what was it? Dangerous? Of course. I'd forgotten." She smirked as if she hadn't just been on the ground begging. If he'd let her go then with some threat, she'd have been off, but she wasn't. She was able to breathe again, and though the pain in her stomach, arms, and nose was still causing her to wince slightly, she wasn't about to beg or run.

"We could both just... walk away?" she suggested instead on a more serious note, though she doubted that was going to happen. Oh well. It seemed like a good idea. Also, she still wasn't feeling up to running. Instead, she stepped into the fighting stance she'd been taught, just in case. Then she met his gaze, smiling sweetly.

"Or do you have to hit me again, for the glory of the Negaverse or something?"

"Not so much the glory of the Negaverse - as much as dedication to the cause of wiping your kind off the face of the planet." Leucite said plainly, like they were just talking about the weather. "And I won't so much as hit you as batter and beat you until you either pass out or run away... I'd prefer the first option because then I can kill you easier."

One less senshi meant the world was going to be a better place come morning.

"So, you still don't want to unconditionally surrender?" He had started to tighten his circle and was inching closer with each step. "Because I have no qualms beating one out of you."
