Itzal was alone.
It wasn't an uncommon phenomenon. He'd long since left the herd that adopted him and the herds he wandered to often found him disturbing and unpleasant. That was fine. It was probably for the best. Occasionally he got some interesting Azrien to observe, but otherwise... Itzal just wandered, just existed. He didn't care about anything, nothing cared about him. A rather empty existence, but an existence nevertheless.

His gaze went to the horizon as the sound of hooves caught his attention, watching a cloud of sand and dust approaching. Lovely. He was going to have company soon. It would probably be for only a few seconds, however; they would probably pass right by him. The red stallion wasn't really that interesting, after all.

Aleda Amadeus was tired of dealing other people honestly her family was too much and those other strangers were just irritating. Her hooves tore the ground and the black vine around her leg was tight and she was glad it was thorn-less or her lovely leg would be bloody by now. Her wings were tight to her body so she didn’t have as much resistance. As she ran a Azeri came into sight. Blue and red. The colors made her slow as she came closer.

Her wing opened as she got closer. It was her natural response. She liked how it made her more impressive and graceful. She moved slowly and approached the male. “Well hello there.” He looked very strong and rather handsome. Something about him made her think of Sumac but she wasn’t sure what it was. How interesting.

Ah. It was a mare. A winged mare with roses. And she was slowing.
How interesting.
The mild interest didn't reach his eyes, however. It rarely did. "Hello. I don't suppose you're going to tell me why you've joined me out in the middle of nowhere?" It sure wasn't for the company. Why did she stop?

“Oh just getting away from my herd for a bit and you look interesting.” She looked over his mane and tail specifically. She radiated confidence and pride. “Besides it’s not like I had anything better to do. I’m sure you’ve been here. After all there is no one else really around.” She looked around poignantly just for confirmation.

"Is that so?" Itzal shrugged. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not really that interesting." Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be by himself. "No, no one else is around. Well, no Azrien, at least." There was still plenty of wildlife. Maybe he'd catch a lizard later... "You're free to accompany me if you wish. If not... well, I'm sure you'll find someone more interesting." He started walking, not bothering to see if she was following.

He was funny! Smiling she walked calmly watching his movements saying nothing. How long could he be silent? Would he scold her for her silence? She wanted to play with him a bit. So many males around her boasted of their prowess it was a change to have one who wanted to be passed over like this. He clearly didn’t know her sire or he would flatter he with fake praise like the others. Not that it wasn’t deserved praise but she knew it was fake to please her so she would speak well of them to her father.

She was silent. It was nice, but it was also a little strange. She'd seemed to want conversation before... oh well. It wasn't his problem. If she didn't want to talk, that was more than fine with him. Itzal's natural state was silence, after all. Well, actually, it was more an acquired state due to his upbringing. Nevertheless, it was the state in which he was most comfortable. Who was this mare, though? She didn't look familiar, but that could be for a number of reasons. A new member (either by assimilation or birth), a member of a Six herd that he wasn't familiar with, a neutral with an adventurous streak...

She kept following him wondering how long she could go without talking now. Ugh.. this male was just to quite. If some stranger had been following her she would give them a question session they would never forget. It was either that or sick her family on them. Who was this male? Why was he here of all places? Where was he going? She sighed aloud and narrowed her eyes looking at him. Was it worth even wasting her time following him around for fun? If only to make him paranoid for a while why not? Smiling again she kept following him determined not to be the first to break the silence.

Itzal continued his silence, not bothering to ask questions about why the mare was so interested in him or why she insisted on following him. That was her choice, and until her choices interfered with his, the red stallion didn't really care. His eyes fixed on movement on the horizon, frowning as he realized what he was looking at. Azrien. Azrien he didn't want to meet here. Itzal wordlessly changed course so that it would avoid direct contact with the Azrien ahead. Since he had no real destination, it wasn't a big deal to him; he'd just wander in a different direction.

Noticing him avoid the other azerin she purposely waved a wing at them. Smiling to herself she really hoped that one or two of them could come and follow. She kept following the red male though and rolled her eyes. Honestly how could a guy look so cool yet be so dull? She moved closer to him keeping just behind him now. She would follow at this pace for a while until she saw how he reacted then she’d pull the next part of her little plot into motion. A silent azerin was a toy just waiting to be played with. Now he was reminding her less of Sumac and more of that strange mare she saw her father’s enemy around.

She flagged them down. She flagged them down. Was she trying to get him killed, or what she just stupid? "... You're going to regret doing that." Itzal said nothing more and didn't stop walking; when the blood-lusting Azrien came, she could deal with them herself. Her flagging, her problem.

Still following along she smiled to herself for getting the male to break his silence. “Doubtful. I can fly away. Still it’s so sweet of you to worry for me.” Ah the male was annoyed with a little flagging, what would he do with flirting? It could be so much fun. She thought she heard hooves but when she turned to look say none of the azerin from that group had followed. What a shame.

Itzal shrugged. "If you say so." She really didn't know what she was getting into, did she? Wait. Was she... flirting with him? Well, that was new. "You know, I didn't think I'd be the type of Azrien you'd be interested in." Mares like her usually looked for someone with... more personality. Not someone who wasn't all there and avoided most Azrien like the plague.

(( Yes. ))

“Well I do say so.” She snorted loudly at his comment. “Sweetie, you don’t know what my type is so good luck guessing~” She walked up next to him and bumped him with her hip. “Who knows maybe I like the quite type who worry but don’t say anything.” She winked at him and heard the sound of more hooves than just hers and his. Turning her head again this time she saw a large red male headed toward them. “Or maybe it’s the bold type. Only I can say for sure and that’s something I don’t feel like sharing.” She stopped and half turned with one wing to halt the newcomer. She smiled with her usually narcissistic grin.

Garth followed the pair curious as to why the female was so friendly while the male was clearly a coward. He sauntered up close enough to the female that he would be able to burst and attack her if he had to. Mainly he did it just to annoy the male she was with. He liked stealing other’s women and this one would fall for him like the others.

No reaction. Itzal didn't so much as glance at his companion when she hip-bumped him. When she stopped, he continued walking. "You're lucky there's only one following you. Otherwise there would be something else you'd have to worry about not sharing," he replied. After he said it, the thought crossed his mind that his comment could've been considered inappropriate. Oh well. It was said. He didn't look back to inspect the second tag-along Azrien either; it didn't matter to him. "As for your type, I could probably care less. ...Well, maybe not." Caring less would require him caring in the first place.
