Traveling in Soragakure is done by the usage of skyrails, which react to chakra. The skyrails wrap around the entirety of the village, and are also the only way up into it. There is a huge elevator that is running everyday to transport people up and down into the village and out of it. There are guards everywhere.

AS OF 1/4/14

Soragakure is no longer a floating village, it has fallen from the sky.

Soragakure would suddenly find a mass of cloaked and suspicious people transporting dozens upon dozens of carts up to the elevator. All at once they would remove their disguises and kill the guards, operating the lift themselves. These rebel ninja would make it to the cage and anchor and begin to pour into the city, slaying all who got in their way.

There been a disturbance, an unsightly number of visitors and activity near the anchor. The sorakage, or acting kage, was perched up high along the buildings and decked out in her kunoichi gear. Bearing no headband, she preferred no such identification if she were the leader. Instead she was but a shadow of the sky and would remain as such. She was chosen as the leader, for Kaisen was needed... elsewhere where his presence was more urgently required. But yet, she was not leader material but she made do with what she had.

Watching intently, her eyes flared to life then as the tomoe revolved about the pupil. Screams filled the street below and Michiyo set her jaw. A few were cut down in the street in cold blood and thus she had to go into action. Reaching within her pouch on her waist, she pulled out a contraption in the form of a bamboo tube wrapped at one end in black rice paper. Holding it high, she pulled the string on the tube before a thunderous bang erupted from it of black powder and a flare shot toward the sky. This was both a signal and a distraction, a signal for the village to recognize an immediate threat and for the invading cur to have their attention momentarily drawn toward her.

Yet for when they would reach their gaze skywards, her shifting form would dematerialize like a wavering mist of lines complete with a flash. It was the flash step taught to her from her tutelage with the Shihoin and she re-appeared down below in a shimmer of images. Sword drawn and eyes blazing red, she shoved a young child out of the way and instantly clashed swords with one man. Almost instantly she seemed to fade in and out of reality as a multitude of the same woman appeared during that block, each performing a different act of the sword with the sound of flesh tearing upon each. The bandit had no reaction of a scream nor shout as the sorakage flickered upon his opposite side, standing back to back as the sword at her side dripped of blood as the man slumped forward grasping at his throat with hand and reaching toward the sky with the other. He fell with not another sound but the gasping and gurgling face first in the midst of the village street.

"Disperse from my village or your lives are all forfeit. I offer you mercy, take it while you can." Michiyo's voice remained low but she emphasized her ferocity with the scowl of her kekkei genkai which emanated her genjutsu naturally with a simple skill to influence the illusion of fear upon those who began pouring in the street. Already from her flare, the network of her contacts and fellow shinobi were already spreading the word of the trouble. A domino effect was in order and she had tipped the trigger.

Flicking the sword in her hand, the blood that been clinging to the cold steel and slung off. Her eyes rapidly traced each person that held a weapon and she gave the shout of 'clear' to every civilian in the area. Panic rose, but her presence would lessen that among her civilians, for their lives was her's to protect. From what the woman could tell and react, there were at least over two dozen foes and quite a few casualties of the general populace.

{Weeeelll you get three at once okay? xD Not dealing with 39!}

The little show Michiyo had put on scared a total of two beings: A squirrel and a baby. The rogue ninja were hardened through the years of living on their own, fighting every day for life. This village and all who lived in it were pampered weaklings, not understanding what it meant to truly survive. Her performance had served to anger the bandits. Shouts and catcalls flew out at insane speeds at the pretty lady, all of which pertained to coitus with her skull. One incredibly large bandit stepped forward, hammer in one hand and a saw grafted onto his other arm. He had scars crossing over all of his body and was missing much of his face. He raised the sawed arm up and pointed at Michiyo, moving his hips in an incredibly provocative manner. "Bring your fine a** down here and maybe I'll show you a bit of mercy!" He shouted at her, eliciting a ton of laughter from the crowd. "She has a pretty face, so smooth and soft looking. I want it." A voice called from the side as a lady emerged from the crowd. She was stroking a face, though it wasn't hers. All along her body were faces hanging from threads, and she currently had one attached to her face. "No! This one is mine! That was my brother!" He shouted from the left. Compared to the others he seemed downright weak. His body was frail and skinny, and he seemed sickly.

[Jounin] [Soragakure] [Mayu] [Abumi] [Enhanced Fighter]

Saiyuri arrived at the entrance, dressed as if the frozen bosom of winter was pressed right up to her face. It was the dead of night at the moment and most of the village was already sleeping. She had removed her headband and recited her history to herself over and over again. "I am Kitana Mayu, daughter of the Snow. I fought for Yukigakure. Our Kage, Kaiser Shiro-Kame, was defeated in battle, leaving the village largely undefended. We were too weak, we failed, and now my home is no more. I am Kitana Mayu..." Saiyuri repeated over and over within the confines of her mind. Hopefully when the other members of her team arrived they would have done the same. Saiyuri gripped the torn bag she had with her, filled with basic survival supplies. She had packed a few weapons, none in good condition. Her clothes were well worn and she even appeared to have gone through quite an ordeal.

Jean Gay, I mean John Le-Troy, followed his fellow Mayu. He had nothing to say. Probably because he couldn't say anything, you know; it was quite the debilitation. He kept his thoughts to the world around him, rather than on the people in it. He had no aspirations for his mission. He didn't really want to do it, but he told himself he'd immerse his body into the shinobi world; think like them, be like the rest of them. If his other Mayu could, then he could too. He didn't want to fall behind their example. "I'm here, Saiyu," He communicated to her. There was a humble smile on his face, as he stared deeply into the Jounin's eyes. "In case you'd like to shift focus from the depression of recalling your past experiences, I'd like to say that I'm ready to go whenever." He, like her, was from one of the great villages before Sora. For him, it was Konoha. He was a strong and noble warrior, as it was a strong and noble village.

But unlike him, it could not rise from its ashes. It descended with the birds, and crashed with the fluttering contraptions in the sky. At the zenith of its power, it became nothing, and John with it. Sora would never replace his home hidden in the leaves. But he could begin to bring it close.

This mission would be easy if they worked together, he honestly hoped that this mission would be a coping mechanism for him. Probably not. He practiced levitating while awaiting for his teammate, floating in mid-air with a grin.

Made his way to the skyway with a bit of a smile. Now that his training was well underway he was more than confidant that he would be able to handle this mission effectively and efficiently. After all he had been pared with a shinobi that worked from a distance while he was an up close and personal shinobi. He saw his teammate hovering in place with an odd grin on his face. The combination of the two forced a laugh from him as he made his way over to him with a smile," Nariomi Hyuuga. Pleasure to meet you. You ready to head out?"

____________________THE PAIN, THE HATRED, THE DESTRUCTION ____________________

Saiyuri had been walking through the village taking in what the entire village was feeling. She had been walking slowly, carefully combing over every single person. It was arduous work but completely necessary. Not only was Saiyuri trying to get a feel for the mood and morale of her people. It was at an all time low ever since Kaisen Uchiha left. That morale dropped even lower once the villagers had heard that Kaisen had been raiding up and down the cost of Tsukigakure. All across Soragakure and its territories there had been protests against the impending war and groups demanding answers. Everyone wanted Saiyuri's attention, and all were asking for the promise of safety. The council had been in an uproar as of late, constantly trying to come up with ideas to quell the people. All of this was happening and Saiyuri had not even been in office for more than a month. It was all so hard to deal with. Every day Saiyuri walked through her streets, listening to the people both orally and mentally. It ashamed her to be unable to truly promise people their safety.

A woman from the crowd rushed forward, grabbing at Saiyuri's arm. Her guards reacted instantly, but with a mere flick of her mind Saiyuri halted them from stopping her. It would not do well for her own people to fear her. The woman fell to her knees, sobbing. "My son! He's betrayed his village! Please spare him! Please, I beg of you!" An image shoved its way into Saiyuri's mind, the face of this woman's son. She quickly closed the barriers of her mind, closing off all links to anyone she had established. All knew the price for desertion; death. Instead of letting the woman hear this, Saiyuri pushed a calming feeling upon her. It took a lot from Saiya to try and hold onto that feeling. It was an inherent Mayu trait to be able to push their own emotions onto others. Unfortunately it had to be a genuine feeling, not something that was generated from nothing. More often than not Saiyuri used memories to generate the feeling, recalling a time when something once was. It was tricky to master and required the user to always be focusing. For Saiya this had gotten harder and harder to do. The memories associated to the feelings sometimes broke through her barriers and overwhelmed her. She would play the feelings back onto herself, inflicting emotion twice as affective on her own mind. It could be crippling if she was dabbling with darker emotions. The woman's pupils dilated and her grip loosened on Saiyuri. Saiya nodded her head at the guards as a complacent smile slipped onto her face. Saiyuri and her guard pushed onward.

It was taking longer than Saiyuri would have liked for her ninja to report back to her on their missions. Despite their low ranks and young ages she thought them highly capable ninja. In these days, where shinoib and kunoichi were so few, the ages of them were getting younger and younger. Employing child soldiers was not something Saiyuri supported, and yet there were a load of teenagers and children traipsing around the village. She had sent them to recover sensitive information, to risk their lives, to murder. That trail of thought went dead in her mind instantly. Saiyuri could not let herself think like that. Those were thoughts of the old Saiya, one who had the capacity to feel such things. The Saiyuri Mayu of today had to be strong, fearless, and capable of grand things. If that meant having an army of precocious and powerful young ninja, than so be it.

Soragakure's spies and web of moles had been sending reports back seemingly every hour. They had been tasked to keep an eye on Kaiser Shiro-Kame, as well as Tsukigakure. Times were dire, and the last thing that Saiyuri needed was the Moon village to descend on them as well. It would be far too easy for them to team up with any one of the sages to take them down. Something within Saiyuri made her want to believe that the Kage of the Moon, Elizabeth Britannia would not stoop so low. Despite what most of the world seemed to think, Soragakure was not looking for a fight. The trade between the two villages was helping both of them thrive, and an all out war would serve only to shatter the tender hold that peace had on this world. It would not take much for their civilizations to crumble, and they were already doing all they could to keep it together. More and more of her own people were defecting to the enemy side.

Most people when questioned would say the biggest threat to a village is the outsiders, those who would seek to gain their land and wealth. But the people who had been put in positions of power would say its the citizens of their own village. They had incredible power once organized and united. With enough sway, the enemies could convince the people to take down their own government. As it was, the other side was already looking much better than living in a village. The rogues and rebels promised a freedom unlike any other. The power to take your own land, to claim your own rewards in life. The propaganda was visible everywhere; posters taped onto walls and pictures painted onto walls. This 'promise' was nothing more than a facade. Living the life of a rogue was nothing short of a death sentence unless you were the strongest one out there. If not, you were destined to have your family murdered, and your home razed to the ground. Villages had initially formed to protect people. They offered structure, protection, peace. Everyone had the chance to be great in their own ways. But for some people that was not enough. Saiyuri did not truly know why these rogues harbored such intense feelings of hatred for their villages, but understood the threat they posed.

A blip on her mental grid appeared, a mind that was alien to her. Saiyuri paused the inner machinations of her mind to hone in on it. All other thoughts and feelings were discarded as she tapped into this one particular mind. It was dark, full of anger and hatred. Saiyuri penetrated the paper thin walls, realizing this person had very little training in defending themselves from the likes of a Mayu. As of late the rogues they had captured alive were able to defend their minds from Saiyuri and her clansmen. For a time of course. Few of her kin were as skilled as breaking minds as she, and it only took a few moments of concentration to force her consciousness onto another. This was a queer case going off of that fact. The moment Saiya penetrated the walls of his mind a flood of thoughts entered her own. At first it was a nauseating affect and Saiya had to brace herself against a wall. She could see what this person was seeing, feel their anxiety and fear. Why were they so angry? What was the cause of this nervousness? It dawned on Saiya that she was staring at the Chain.

Soragakure was such an anomaly to many people. How did it stay afloat? What made the skyrails able to react to chakra? How on earth did they even stay in the air like that? Most of the people in the village could not answer these questions, and Saiyuri had not even known until she came into office. There were two massive chakra generators located within Soragakure, and deep below it. The chain that connected them acted as a method of transfer between the two of them and constantly sent forces to repel and attract Soragakure. Most people who lived on the floating platform were not aware of the slight bobbing motion that happened daily. Without the chain, Soragakure would have no method of transferring this chakra. The village would drop from the sky and crash into the ground below. The damage would be irreparable.

The mind she was looking through was staring at the chain from a point of view that was off limits. He was within the inner linings of Soragakure, using the maintenance tunnels to get around. Only a very specific group of people were allowed access to these ratways. Saiyuri suddenly set off in a dead sprint; the attack was just about to start.

Her guard lagged behind for but a moment before running after her. Saiyuri found the first hatch into the sewers and clawed at it, forcing it to spring open. She jumped in and directed her mental powers to her legs, creating a repelling force beneath her. Instead of slamming into the ground Saiyuri's body met with a bubbly force. She shot forward with the same speed she dropped, thanking physics for a brief moment. Saiya saw a corner coming and once more gestured with her hand. A pipe broke from the wall and stuck at at exactly the angle Saiya needed to adjust her trajectory. She calculated the distance and her own velocity to judge just when and where she should reach for the pipe. As she approached Saiya grasped the pipe and spun, ricocheting off in another direction. Her speed began to lessen with each passing second, and Saiya knew she would be reaching the floor soon. She curled into a ball at the exact moment and rolled into a sprint.

She could feel her guards behind her and at the same time knew what was happening. The boy was waiting for a signal, but for what. Saiya's eyes widened as she dug into his mind, making herself painfully present in his mind. The boy gasped in pain and clutched at his head as Saiyuri shuffled through his memory. She was going backward through them, replaying them at such a speed it was nearly impossible to decipher for anyone without the brain power of a Mayu.

The boy was moving through the ratways in reverse, every now and then glancing at a hand drawn map. He took lefts, rights, and continued ascending until he was at the top level of Soragakure. The boy backed up into the elevator along with a mass of other civilians. He kept glancing at the guards, trying to remain inconspicuous. Every now and then he would look skyward, checking the time. At the bottom of Sora the boy traveled backward for a few hours, until he made it to a cliff. At the bottom of a cliff there was a base. The boy walked through the base, a number of faces flashing before Saiyuri's mind. It wasn't until the boy reentered a building that Saiyuri paused. Kaiser Shiro-Kame was looking back at her, a devilish grin on his face.

Saiyuri rushed now with a fervor unlike any before. She could not let Soragakure fall from the sky. Countless lives would be lost in the crash, and the structural integrity of the village would not hold against such force. The boy was going to blow up the chain. Saiyuri launched every bit of mental power she had at the boy, causing his mind to break and his brain go into overdrive. He began to seize and thrash wildly about. Finally Saiyuri made it to him, just in time to watch his body drop to the floor. Saiya slid to a halt and knelt before the boy, reaching out to check for a pulse. As she turned his head to get a look at his face she froze. It was the woman's son. Saiya looked into his bright eyes with a completely blank look. She reached forward and closed them, letting the boy rest now.

Saiya wasted no time in ordering her ninja to remove the massive amount of explosive tags from the chain. She herself oversaw the work, using her all of her sensory abilities to aid in the detection. There had to be more ninja working together, this was too big of a job for a green boy. It was almost as if they had wanted them to catch him. Saiya stopped in her tracks, the true attack suddenly dawning on her. She cast her mind out in every direction as a sudden chill set in place. Her breath suddenly became visible in the air as if winter had just arrived. Saiyuri turned her brain on high and created a network so vast it connected to every single person within the village. "Brace yourself for war! The rogues have brea-" Before Saiyuri could get the words out of her mouth Soragakure suddenly turned to a drastic angle. Saiyuri quickly applied chakra to her feet and cast out a mental net of force, catching a large number of people and stopping them from falling off the village. "Get everyone inside! Emergency protocols are in affect!" The panic had hit the streets, and there were people trying to get into their homes. Every villager knew how to react in these times in case of the worst, and it was about to happen. A silence touched the village as a snowfall began, only broken by a crackling sound.

Saiyuri turned and peered at the edge of her village, amazed at what she saw. There were trees rapidly growing all around Soragakure, reaching higher than the village itself. The very instant the trees reached a max height they froze solid. The whine of the elevator brought Saiya's attention to the device. She gestured once with her hand and forcefully moved every single person away from her. She knew what was coming; Kaiser the Frozen Tree. She felt his mind before she saw him, and the adrenaline was already kicking in. Saiya sent a silent prayer to Kami and readied herself for the fight of a lifetime.

The sound of clapping came from the elevator, followed by a sickening laughter. "Well well well, it appears that our little mind reader isn't as smart as everyone thought. If such a little diversion was all it took, I wonder why I waited this long?" Kaiser asked his rhetorical question, his blood eyes glaring at Saiyuri. He seemed calm, but the look in his eyes betrayed the thirst he had for blood. Kaiser reached up to his neck and undid the clasp that held his cloak and dropped it to the floor. "Come now, enough talk. Let's dance." Kaiser said as he spread his arms outward, that devilish grin set back in place. Saiyuri met his eyes and furrowed her eyebrows, her assault already beginning. She drove her mind at his own with such force the pain was palpable on Kaiser's face. His body was tensing and his face began to redden under the strain of trying to keep her at bay. Kaiser began to growl with anger and suddenly thrust his hand outward. Shards of wood shot forth at Saiya, who had to suddenly switch her concentration. She swiped one hand through the air and knocked the shards out of the way. Kaiser chuckled with excitement and formed a set of seals, this time launching a blast of wind at Saiyuri. She rapidly brought her hands together in clap and sent her own wind forward, splitting apart Kaiser's blast. He shrieked with joy and formed more seals, this time collecting enough water from the surrounding area to launch a water dragon. Saiyuri sprinted forward, motioning with both of her hands in a circular motion. The dragon smashed into her shield and dispersed, the water rushing out through the streets. She jumped slightly into the air and forced chakra to her feet, sending a burst of wind outward. "Oh?"[/color ] Kaiser said as Saiyuri shot through the air like a bullet, rearing back her fist. He formed rapid seals and waved his hand through the air, creating a wall of water. Saiya's fist pierced the water and some unseen force lashed out, still decking Kaiser in the face. His head snapped to the side with the force and he spat out blood. "Bad decision, girlie." Kaiser said as he placed his hand on the water wall. The water began to reach up Saiya's arm, despite her struggles. She tried to use a blast of wind to knock the water back but to no avail. Kaiser laughed as he turned around, chilling the water with but a thought. As the water began to turn to ice, Saiyuri suddenly had a brilliant idea. She placed the palm of her free hand and channeled intense vibrations through it. "I hear that this here chain, actually holds up Soragakure, instead of anchoring it down. Let's see if that's true, shall we?" Kaiser placed his hand on the chain and froze it almost instantly. Saiyuri amplified the vibrations and shattered the ice, instantaneously appearing beside Kaisen. She grabbed him by the collar and smashed her fist into his face. Kaiser grunted with the blow and flew backward, but Saiyuri was on him once again. She slammed her leg into his ribs, sending him skyward. With an unseen force, Saiya forced Kaiser back to the ground, smashing him into the ground. "Oh oh oh, I suppose it is time to stop playing around." Kaiser reached out from the crater he had created and formed bloblets of water all over the area. Saiyuri ran at him once more, but felt herself slowing down. It was as if she was moving through water, as if her muscles were straining against the cold.

Kaiser's devilish laugh echoed around the area once again. "You're quite spunky aren't you? That's a pretty strong defense you got there. I wonder how long you can keep it up?" The bloblets of water suddenly froze solid, turning into spears of ice. Saiya quickly held a hand up and halted the first wave, and used her other hand to stop the second. Kaiser rose up from the crater and wiped blood from his mouth, walking towards the elevator and chain. Yet another wave shot at her, and this time Saiyuri created a bubble around her. "Oh, you're good at that. Let's try again." He said, surrounding her barrier with spears. He shot them forward and they all shattered one after another against the barrier. The strain on Saiya's face was evident. As the last wave shot forward they suddenly stopped, and launched in the opposite direction. The surprise was clear on Saiya's face. A wordless 'no' was clearly formed on her lips. Saiyuri reached out with both of her hands and tried to stop the spears, but it was too late. Hundreds of icicles shot through buildings, and the screams could be heard all over the place. Kaiser laughed maniacally and spread the fingers on each hand. The icicles in the buildings suddenly shattered into tiny little pieces, launching outward like needles. The silence afterward was the most deafening sound Saiyuri had ever heard. "Oops, I missed! Well, it's been fun darling, but I have an agenda to stick to." Kaiser said as he leaned forward to the chain. He grabbed it and spun around, waving at Saiyuri as he dropped down the shaft. The moment he was out of sight, the chain shattered at the connecting point. The entire village shuddered, and then suddenly began to fall. All of the panic, all of the terror suddenly hit Saiyuri like a wrecking ball, making her kneel over and purge the contents of her stomach. The gravity suddenly changed, and Saiyuri found herself drifting slightly upward. She reached down before she flew off the village and connected herself with chakra. Saiya closed the barriers around her mind and focused every bit of force she had outward. She used every ounce of her force to grab the village out of the sky. The sheer mental force necessary made Saiyuri's body tense beyond belief. Every muscle in her body was straining with the energy necessary. She began to shake as if she had come down with a fever and blood began to drip from her nose. A soundless cry of anguish was visible on her face, but the sky village had stopped falling. Saiya pushed pass the pain and held onto the village, lowering it slowly to the ground. Every second that ticked by felt like an eternity to Saiya, but she held on. The village thudded against the ground and sent vibrations through the city, a few buildings actually fell because of this. When everything settled, Saiyuri let go of Soragakure and fell over on her side, blood gushing out of her mouth.

He was filled with rage, sadness, fear, doubt, guilt, misery. He didn't know what to think, so he yelled out for Saiyuri to be okay as he held onto her and continued to panic. Seeing Kaiser and remembering his face, his fingers gripped onto her flesh tightly as his eyes shot daggers towards the distance. He wanted vengeance.

As all hell seemed to break loose Nari found himself floating for a moment as the city crashed around him. He did not know who anyone was other than the kage on the ground bleeding and his teammate. He blinked his byuakugan active with a seal as he quickly rushed over to the kage," Quick put her down I'm a medic I can treat her." Without waiting for him to finish or respond he had already began to check her for wounds using both his Byakugan and his skills as a medical shinobi. (Diagnosis) The process only took a few minutes as he noticed that physically she was fine she had simply exhausted most if not all of her chakra and the resulting strain had caused a small hemorrhage thus the blood. Once he was finished his hands began to glow a bright emerald green{healing hands}. He slowly passed them over her head trying to heal the small hemorrhages that her stress had caused. As the bleeding slowed and stopped he looked up and said," Shes fine physically so dont worry about her dying. We just need to get her somewhere safe where she can rest. Can you carry her? If so ill cover you while we go."

Takashi Shishigami

-‘๑’-[Rinnegan][Jounin Sensor][Legacy of the Sonozaki]-‘๑’-

My fists will never fail the vow of the Shishigami. Not now, not ever.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

TABTAB "Oi. If I'm not allowed to die, you aren't either." Takashi managed to find his way to Saiyuri. He watched the battle from afar, as it was her battle to fight. He gazed over Saiyuri's body for a moment, then shook his head. Why was it always them that got these kinds of situations. His eyes grew a dim, red glow as he switched to his Path of the Inspiring. She had just received medical treatment, yes, but she had taken much more than that. Her mind and her chakra had also taken a heavy toll, and there was only one fix for that on hand. "Shouten, Hyuuga." Takashi could read their chakra signatures enough to know where their blood's power came from, but not much more past that. Takashi knelt beside Saiyuri and placed his hand on her chest. Not in any...'suggestive' way, just to gage her heartbeat and her breathing rhythm. "Ya did good with the treatment. Looks a lot higher class than it should be in such a short time. Best thing you can do right now is to think positive thoughts. Negative thoughts and emotions, like panicking, it'll do as much harm to her as a blade would. Know she's going to be fine, and she will be." It would not be a good idea to move her right now; he might not have been a medic, but he had studied the human body enough through his Mentor's 'regiment' to know intermediate details. "We need to stay here for the time being, a medical team should be arriving soon; that scene would be hard to miss. In the mean time... Sorry, Saiya... Gotta make sure." Takashi's cheeks grew a little red. You can hit me as hard as ya like later. His eyes' glow grew a little brighter as his lowered his head to Saiyuri's and pressed his lips against her's. A flow of chakra went from Takashi's chakra pool directly to Saiyuri's body. It reached deep, mending any deeper wounds that would have been missed by Narimor's rather impressive work. It would also meld and mix with Saiyuri's own chakra pool, giving her a little more wiggle room with her chakra supply. Takashi's body grew the same color as his eyes did as the process took its course. Path of the Inspiring specialized in manipulating chakra to aid others in all forms, and this particular style of manipulation had many uses. The sometimes embarrassing part was that the more contact he had with the body in question, the more effective the process was, at least until he became to skilled at it. It could not help feel certain ways and have certain memories be brought up. A ping of pain shot through the back of his brain and the memories were suppressed. He was being stupid again and there was no need to bring up the past, especially right now.
TABTAB Takashi's head lifted as the red glow diminished and soon vanished completely. He then placed his hand on her shoulder and softly grinned. "Better wake up soon, Hime. We're gonna need you soon." Takashi then took and look around. "Doubtful, but it might be possible that word might get out that we just got attacked. We need to be ready in case someone tries to take advantage of the situation. When the Queen here wakes up, we need to shore up our borders. I'll need you two to check the village itself and get reports from whatever force patrols the areas."

[SAIYURIx ҉ xMAYU]

CRACKED, BROKEN, LEAKING xxx

____________________THE PAIN, THE HATRED, THE DESTRUCTION ____________________

The moment Saiyuri's body hit the floor her mind folded in on itself. Every sense left her body, and for a few minutes Saiya was devoid of life. The sheer mental power she had exerted widened the crack in her brain, the part of her that was unable to suppress all of the anguish and terror of the past. All outside attempts to contact her fell on deaf ears. It did not take long for the field medics to arrive, each of them pulling away the ninja surrounding the Tsukikage. They set to work on her, ensuring that her life was not lost. The entire time one of the medics, a fellow Mayu, touched Saiyuri softly on either side of her head. He closed his eyes tightly and tried to delve into Saiya's mind. For a few moments his expression was blank, and then it changed to worry. He looked up at the rest of his medical squad and shook his head back and forth. Yet she had a pulse, so she must have been alive.l

Inside of Saiya's head, her body floated on a sea of nothingness. A soft echo was heard but everything was just so funny. The mingling of some foreign chakra did what it could to rejuvenate her body but had no affect on her mind. Her mind's eye suddenly opened, and Saiya flinched at the sudden influx of sensations and memories. The feeling of fear followed by determination during the fight with Kaiser. The overwhelming need to save her village from the fall, and the feelings of those around her. Saiyuri tightly shut her eyes and barely parted her mouth. She would have groaned if she had a voice. Saiya's eyes cracked open, though she had to blink a few times before she could register what she was looking at. A dozen different faces all full of worry, the minds of every person within a very wide range touched with Saiya's. In an instant she would wipe away all mental defenses anyone had as she spoke to each and every person at once. "I am sorry, I was unable to keep the village from falling. Forgive me. I will do my best to protect us from further harm." A strong sense of peace and calm would push onto everyone as well. Saiyuri had already dealt with one maniac, there was no room for her to deal with a mob of scared people as well. The links disappeared from everyone but her medical team, which she thanked briefly. Then she thought to Xanatos, Nariomi, and then Takashi in turn. "Xanatos, I am sorry to have scared you. I hadn't realized how far I was pushing myself." Saiyuri thought, a look of chagrin on her face. It was a very silly thing to do, overestimate oneself. Saiya had always considered herself a master of her own body, yet this event had proved just how much further she could go. When she turned to Nariomi, Saiyuri actually bowed to him. "Thank you, I appreciate what you have done for me. I foresee you becoming a great healer in time." When Saiyuri turned to Takashi, she studied him for what felt like an eternity. Her link with him conveyed her apprehension of speaking about what had happened, something she willingly showed him. Especially after what just occurred, Saiya was not ready for that. "Takashi, please oversee our defenses. Getting into Soragakure will be much too easy now. I do not want any single being getting on or off the village without us aware of it. Take no prisoners." Saiyuri's eyes lingered on him for a moment, and she mentally conveyed her thanks. When she turned away, the links were reestablished with the heads of her squadrons. Saiyuri began to point and gesture as she sent out a dozen thoughts at once, ordering her men and women into proper position. There was damage control to deal with, and they had to assess just what the fall did to the two chakra generators. Perhaps there was a chance to repair them and get Soragakure into the air once more.

As everyone set off to work, Saiyuri leaned against the remainders of a wall. She gazed hard at the ground, trying to figure something out. For some reason she had not been able to dig into Kaiser's mind. It was almost as if what she had witnessed from his brain was merely a projection. This was unlike any person's ability to block their mind. It was more like there was nothing to block. She bit her bottom lip lightly and tried to figure out what that meant. For now, she wanted all of her ninja to complete their missions and aid the village.

                                                                "..."

Xanatos noticed that more people showed up to aid Saiyuri, it calmed his heart. Even Nariomi was aiding her, which made him relax. Xanatos still held an unnerving feeling, even after she had apologized for worrying him. He wanted to be angry at her for pushing herself to hard, to be enraged about Kaiser coming onto Sora ground and doing what he did, but he couldn't. He held it all it and shoved it to the back of his head. Saiyuri ordered for everyone to go and do their missions to aid Sora, which meant that Nariomi and Xanatos had to leave for their mission as well. Xanatos gestured for Nariomi to go on ahead to mission area, he paused for a short moment before following his comrade, or leading his comrade out,

                                                                "Saiyuri-senpai...!"

Xanatos called out to tell her something, his back turned to her as he looked onward to the horizon, beyond the rubble of what Soragakure should never have been. He was full of doubt, victory seemed slim. His greatest fear of the moment was losing his mentor. He didn't want to ask for her to not overdo it again like that, because it wasn't in his place to do so. He didn't want to say "be careful" because that's what teachers say to children, not the other way around. He remained silent, the pause would seem awkward, but Xanatos did speak,

                                                                "...nevermind."

And with that, he left the gates and onward to the mission area.

                                                                [exit]
