Fortuna had decided to try her hand at patrolling since her attempt at energy gathering had a rather disastrous turn of events. So she soon found herself at the edge of town, trying to work on eventually going everywhere in the city and finding a mirror for her to use. It was a wonderful time saver, being able to go through one mirror and pop out in another. She could even sleep in more before going to work or school. It tended to be tiring business however, but more than worth it to save time. Fortuna's mind wandered as she walked noticing where a mirror was stashed and attempted to keep her senses open for an approaching enemy. The weather was nice, although a little windy as it blew her skirt around her thighs in a distracting manner. Soon she found herself near the site of a carnival that was in the process of opening. Fortuna smiled, in her civilian life she loved the games of chance just as much as her powered side, so having a new place to exercise her skills would be welcomed. Curiousity peeked, she made her way towards it, wondering what it would be like once it was opened with all the lights turned on and music drawing people near.

Luxor was not sure he was ready for any of this, but he had heard that Knights, like he was, were supposed to go out on patrol. To keep the city safe, or something. There were bad guys he needed to find and fight because they were up to... bad things. Well, he would figure it out some time. Maybe he would be able to find someone to explain it all further to him, or maybe Zia would come by again tonight, and she would be able to answer some of the questions that had occurred to him recently.
It was good that he was questioning it, at least. It was a step further than he was at the start: he had almost resolved to just ignore the whole thing and go back to his Park.
But being given magical powers was a strange and interesting thing, and at least deserved a little of his time and effort. If he didn't like it, then maybe he would just go back to building his perfect entertainment park.
He was powered up but he had not left the park grounds yet, in his office and staring at himself in the mirror. Was there no way to change his clothes? Couldn't he will himself into something different? But he found that the only thing that really happened when he focused on different kinds of clothes was inevitably thinking of what he had been wearing before he powered up and powering back down. At least he was getting practice with that, then.
He didn't feel the aura of another person nearby, though that was probably because he didn't know what he was supposed to be looking out for.

Soon Fortuna stood outside the park gate looking up at it, it looked like it would be an interesting carnival once it was opened. There wouldn't be any harm in looking around now, though right? There wasn't anyone around that could catch her, and in her powered form she could easily jump to the top of the fence and swing across to the other side. She landed softly, the dirt below her puffing out a little when her boots struck the ground, it hadn't rained in a while and it was dry. Fortuna put her hands behind her back and started to walk through the park examining it. There was a tingling sensation at the back of her mind but she couldn't quite pinpoint what it was or where it was coming from. All she knew was that it was from further inside the park. Her curiosity peeked she headed in the general direction of the energy signature, looking at various rides and games.

Luxor wandered out onto the park grounds, looking around. It would not really count as doing a patrol if he just stuck to his own land, but he couldn't help but feel obligated to make sure there were no random monsters or villains or whatever it was he was supposed to be looking for.
He imagined they were thugs and baddies, so that was what he was looking for. People that looked like they were there to mess things up.
He felt something strange. What was that feeling? It was getting stronger. He did not realize yet that it was not growing in power, but simply getting closer to him. He turned to glance over his shoulder and then the other way, but did not see anything nearby. So he headed to the next building, peeking inside to see if there was anyone inside. It was the mirror funhouse, though he had never really found them fun.
Of course, he wasn't a playful sort.
He knew the path, walking leisurely and not feeling too worried though it was dark. That feeling hadn't gone away, and that did make him a little more tense than he usually was.

Fortuna was about to start humming when she remembered where she was and that would be a bad idea. With a frown she looked around as that energy signature got stronger and closer. She looked around and crouched beside a water pistol game and peered around the corner just as Luxor came into view. She didn't recognize what he was wearing but it certainly didn't look like a senshi outfit. She remained silent as she watched him draw level with her, tense and ready to spring into action. She then realized the energy signature was coming from his, and was most definitely opposite of her. Her eyes narrowed as she looked around for an escape route. The first thing she noticed was a House of Mirrors not too far away and a grin spread across her lips. She didn't want to be seen crouching and hiding like a coward so she moved back a few steps before standing and walking around another game, waiting with her arms crossed over her chest for him to notice her. Fortuna's heart pounded in her chest but she hoped he couldn't hear it.

"I know someone is here."
Luxor could feel it, even if he was still too new to know how to really pinpoint a feeling like that. He could tell it was really close, though, and he walked slowly now, eyes scanning the area around him. He was not going to let someone who was not invited get a sneak peek at his carnival.
Not again, at least.
Still, at least whoever was there hadn't broken anything. At least not that he could see. Because obviously they were there to hurt the carnival, and not because they were up to something else. That would be ridiculous: this place was worth a look around.
He frowned, stopping. It felt like he was really close, but he couldn't tell where. It was like hearing a voice on the wind. He turned, inadvertently giving her a chance to run because his back was to her.
