Fortuna walked into the mostly empty park, it was late enough that most people had gone home, but Remarque had said there were a few homeless people out and about at this time, or people up to no good. She walked softly through the night, a slight breeze rustled her clothing and blew through her hair. It was peaceful, serene, and cool enough to still be pleasant out. With a sigh Fortuna fished out the shard of mirror that she was supposed to use to collect energy for mirror space and examined it. She had been warned that they had been acting up lately and so she was hesitant to use it, but she needed to be of some use to the Dark Mirror Court, so she could at least start with something as simple as energy grabbing. Soon she spotted a victim, some drifter vagabond sleeping under a park bench. It seemed simple enough so she concentrated and drew her solitary mirror wraith out of the shard and commanded it to collect energy. It slowly bobbed towards the sleeping victim, the pace set her teeth on edge but she had to wait it out. Finally the wraith made a pass through the sleeping man causing a grown to escape from his lips. It then started to make a second pass through him while Fortuna watched in fascination.

Tonight was just one of those nights where Tortali was feeling like she was on top of the world. The night before…or should she say the knight before. Haha. Puns. Well. It sort of went without saying that the flower was still sitting in a cup of water, and it was brightening up her entire room.
The senshi was walking with a spring in her step that had not been there before…or at least not while she was powered up as a senshi. This was confidence. This was finally embracing the fact that she had this destiny thing somewhat under control…this was the fact that a really, really pretty girl had given her all sorts of advice and helped her to realize that this was all okay.
The confident stride halted at a moment’s notice though, and that moment came up as she felt something that made her nose wrinkle in disgust. Okay. Bad energy, just like Maia said…bad energy meant bad people. It meant chaos…and it was nearby. At least…it didn’t seem too terribly strong…but…but what could she really do? She didn’t want to get almost killed again…that hadn’t…
But she couldn’t just stand there! With a deep breath, Tortali marched towards the energy signal and watched as a…a thing went into a man and back out. “What the hell is that? What are you doing?”
Her shout of justice came out as a surprised squeak and that wasn’t heroic at all. Not one bit…but it was terribly hard to be a hero when you kept seeing things that you had no idea what they were!

Fortuna was startled by a voice behind her, she chastized herself for not paying attention and letting the senshi sneak up on her. She slowly turned around the shard in one hand and observed the girl in front of her. Fortunately she didn't seem to be too strong so Fortuna felt that she could handle it without calling Remarque for back up. With a quiet command she ordered the mirror wraith back into it's shard. It came over to her and hovered by her shoulder as if contimplating the order. Then it slowly started to drift towards the white moon senshi. Fortuna frowned, she had heard they were acting up but she had hoped she could keep hers under control. "Get back here now!" she exclaimed firmly, Remarque had said the white moon senshi were misguided and didn't know they were in the wrong, and if she could avoid confrontation she would rather that. The girl didn't seem much more confident than she felt so perhaps they were both new at this. "I'm collecting energy, what are you doing?" she questioned casually, as if that tone would belittle her actions in the mind of the senshi.

Tortali watched as the girl turned to look at her and made a face. Well…okay. Now the ghost…thing was by the other…the other…uh…Senshi’s(?) shoulder? And the next moment it was making its way towards her. Oh hell no.
The senshi swallowed, taking a small step backwards, though pausing when the redhead spoke to what must have been the ghost thing…It couldn’t have been to her, at least. Though, that raised the question of when she was spoken to. The girl was collecting energy? What did that even mean?
“Collecting energy…for what? I’m just…out walking. I guess. Why is this ghost thing still moving closer to me? I’m assuming it’s yours…get rid of it before I get rid of it.” Not that she was even remotely sure she could get rid of it as she was claiming…but well. Sometimes you had to bluff. If you let them think you didn’t know anything…well…then they would think you didn’t know anything.

"I'm trying..." Fortuna responded in a slightly disgruntled voice, the mirror wraith seemed not to care one bit about Fortuna's commands and was headed towards the much stronger pool of energy that resided within the senshi. "Let's just say its part of my job description." Fortuna responded to her initial question, but narrowed her eyes at the threat. She didn't take kindly to it, and what Remarque had said about the white moon senshi was probably true, it was certainly being reinforced here. Fortuna made another attempt to command the mirror wraith but it still flew steadily closer to the senshi, pulsating to the beat of her heart.

The girl made a face, then hesitated, taking another half step away from the wraith. This was just getting downright creepy, and she didn’t want anything more to do with this girl or this…thing.
“Well, then your job description is really, really, really messed up, and I think you need to get a better one, to be honest…And seriously. Get this thing away from me before I start to get angry…because. Let me tell you. The anger’s coming. Oh boy is it coming.”
Tortali swallowed, holding up a hand, ready to punch the wraith right in its wraith-y face. Of course…that really might not work at all…so maybe she would be better just waiting for the girl to finally get some control over the creature…
Or maybe…she could just attack the girl. Whatever worked…and whatever saved her own skin in the end. That would be the most helpful thing to do at this point in time.

Fortuna grinned. "Oh am I making you angry? Or my little friend here?" She questioned suddenly finding this all very amusing. By her retreat from the Mirror Wraith she betrayed that she was afraid of it, and her bravado all sounded very forced. The mirror wraith continued to draw closer, reaching a tendril out towards the girl as if to reach through her chest and touch her heart. "Do you really think you could hit through an incorporeal being? You might as well be trying to fend off smoke." Fortuna mused as she watched the girl, with her arms crossed in front of her chest and a amused grin on her lips.

The senshi hesitated. Fend off smoke? Didn’t smoke just disappear when you ran your hand through it? She swallowed. Then of course…she could attack the dumb redhead and just get the hell out of there…But which one would be faster.
…Or why should she even bother choosing? “Nobody’s making me angry. It’s you who’s going to feel the anger in a minute…” She drew in a breath, holding her hand out and grinning. “Tortali Simple Grudge!” The words were spoken quite calmly, and a moment later, a puff of smoke emitted from her hand, going right for Fortuna’s face.
See how you like them apples, you crazy, crazy lady. Crazy lady indeed. Though…Tortali still wasn’t thrilled by the mirror wraith moving towards her, and took yet another step backwards, glaring at the thing.

Fortuna was shocked for a moment that the girl was actually attacking her so she didn't move out of the way in time. As the smoke hit her she felt her shock turn into indignation, followed by rage. She thought for a few moments of all the things in her life that angered her and she held against people. Images of her brother's death from a drunk driver, and then her father flashed through her mind as she became increasingly more angry before something inside her finally snapped. "How Dare you attack me!" She shouted before she lunged at the girl with a wild swing, all of her training and practices apparently forgotten in her blind rage and desire to squish the senshi's smug little face with her fist. In this state there was no guarantee that she would make contact, but not for lack of trying. The mirror wraith was also moving behind the senshi so that if she backed up too much she could pass right through it.

During the pause in both the creepy girl’s talking and everything else, Tortali considered a few things. Should she run? Get the hell out of there…or call for backup or something? The last guy she had hit with that attack clearly had a lot of issues that he needed to work out…and…
She flinched. There it was. Clearly this girl did as well. But…sadly it looked like she figured Tortali would be the best punching bag, rather than just shouting her anger out to the wind. On a good note, however…whatever emotions the girl was feeling made her aim be really off, and Tortali ducked out of the way…though again…she needed to work on her balance, toppling over and almost falling, stumbling back to regain her footing…on the ground.
This rather classy maneuver led her to go straight through the waiting mirror wraith. And boy was THAT an odd feeling to feel. And not the good sort of odd either.

Once the mirror wraith had the girl fall on top of it it pulsed briefly before it zipped back into the mirror shard, apparently having gotten enough energy from the senshi. 'They must have more energy than normal humans.' Fortuna thought absently as she shook her head to clear it of the thoughts of anger and resentment, at least of the ones she couldn't address now, like the senshi attacking her without real provocation. Fortuna never really liked fighting a person when they were down, at least not unless she put them there and so she stood back in a fighting stance waiting for the girl to rise so that she could make her pay for attacking her. Fortuna vaguely remembered Remarque telling her that she also had magic that she could call upon, but she wasn't really sure how she was supposed to use it, and she always preferred to do something herself, not relying on others or magic to help her. "Thank you for feeding my little friend, your contribution is appreciated." Fortuna remarked flippantly as she glared at the girl, waiting for her to attack again and really give her a reason to beat her down.

Tortali shook her head, a wave of tiredness filling her. This was so stupid. This girl was just…stupid…
The green haired senshi rubbed at her eyes and shook her head. “Whatever. Fine. I fed your friend, now go. Because I know that I’m sure as hell going to go.” She stood up again, frusterated that her knees were shaking this much. What had that thing even done? It hadn’t felt like it hurt her at all, but here she was feeling like she was getting over a bad bout of flu.
“I’m out. So just. Go home and stop being a b***h to everyone. Okay?” She shook her head again, trying to stop all of the fuzziness from getting lodged in her brain, then took off with a very clumsy run. Worst came to worst she had helped someone, right? Or…maybe she had. Whatever. Right now all she wanted was a five hour energy drink and maybe a bubble bath. Yeah. That would be nice indeed.
