So people have been clamoring for it, and allegedly it'll be out at the end of 2013. Not much on it yet other than its a sequel to Link to the Past.

I'm personally not a huge Zelda fan, simply because that gamestyle isn't my forte, but maybe it will be cool enough to incite me to pick up a modern Zelda game.

I've never played A Link to the Past, never owned anything it was available for, except the GBA but I never saw a cartridge.

I was never too big a fan of the top down Zelda style but that's just me. I'll end up with this on my 3DS for my mom regardless so I'll probably play it as well.
