Running around in the shadow-infested cave had taken a toll on his trainee partner, Stormy. He didn't trust exploring further with most anyone else on the island, except for one.

He sent out a quick text message to the one person he could think of...

Under most circumstances, Mimsy very strongly disliked any amount of distraction. Under recent developments, however, she found herself taking all that she could get. She drummed her pencil against the tabletop as she glanced at the message with a wry smile.

Lucky glanced around the decidedly empty sky visible from the top of the lighthouse. It was this or returning to the subterranean lab to continue reorganizing the old Argus project. One way or the other, he needed to get something done today.

Ah, this sounded familiar. Hopefully his discovery had led to objects more interesting than an amulet that put words in a minipet's mouth. Mimsy set her notes aside and properly covered her research before heading towards the portals, opting to just show up instead of bothering with more texted small talk.

Lucky didn't waste a lot of time hanging around on the hunter side of the portal.

"Is brief into Halloween," he pointed out, stepping into the low light and faintly burning sensation on the other side. His FEAR shield was starting to burn up already. He looked around, sure that somewhere around here was the portal he and Stormy had been using.
