Setting up, Melvin sent a curt message that mocked those that were usually sent to any number of them when things had to be done and no real details were necessary. Nevada had been surprised by the text as she closed the book on languages. Since talking to Ami and Lex over things, she thought it'd be particularly important to start studying languages of various kinds. The easiest and hardest to go to first was latin. From there, she smiled...she would access all of the other languages.
Of course it was long lessons to one's self but...If she was going to start somewhere, she had too.
Anyways, back to the text emssage, Leroy warned her of showing the hunters her prized possession, the extra hair clip on her dresser in the shape of a poppy flower held a new power in it. The artifact she received well...she hadn't even had time to test it out herself but if Melvin was interested well...Why shouldn't she?
Instead of texting him back, she met him in the room he stated and looked around.
"Nevada reporting for artifact testing?" She was sure she was on time? Maybe a little late. like 5 minutes at most. What the walk was long and she had walked SLOWLY down there!

"Hello Nevada." He said, checking the clock on his phone and glad she was at least relatively prompt. He expected a sort of leeway with time considering most hunters disliked testing or following the clock when it wasn't a mission order. "I know people are busy. I'm just glad people show up without me having to hunt them down."
Life had a tendency to scare people from entering a lab.
"Did you bring your artifact?" He said, eager to see what she had converted her item into.

Nevada blinked and then nodded, pulling the poppy pin out of her hair and laying it down in front of Melvin.
"It's called Demeters Laurels. When I use it, It sets up a shield of floral fauna around two people." She waited to see his reaction.

Melvin rose the tablet, taking a few pictures since she set it down for him. As she explained, he looked up. "It creates a fear shield? That's interesting - and at such a wide radius. Do you know how long it lasts? What type of flowers? Any you can associate them to or are they a Halloween type?" Since these artifacts were Fear artifacts, one could never know.
"Have you used them before?"

Whoa there cowboy that was a lot of questions. She laced her hands together and politely answered them as best as she could in the order he asked them.
"Yes, Fear shield. No, Not really. It lasted until it was hit by another force of fear before disappearing. Um, It looks like Poppy's, which is why I got it in a poppy pin." She hesitated, "I don't think they are a halloween flower in particular, they are just red and yellow."
She blinked, twitching her hands.
"Yes once. I shielded Sherry and Jake on a mission not too long ago."
