Following the dragon had been a terrible task. The creature had been hunting for most of the day, and running to keep up with it had taken a huge toll on the young Hybrid girl. Leaning against Uassae as she struggled to keep her breath, Erionda watched with a wince as the beast ripped into the flesh of it's kill. Needless death, Erionda had thought mentally. Watching with growing agitation as the Ysali slowly slowed with each meal. Rio wondered just how many more kills she would have to track the dragon through before it would be to slow to escape her attack. To tired to attack. Even with all the struggles she had survived as she followed it. Erionda wondered if she even had that much of an advantage over the dragon any more.

Try thrusting up through the chin. Uassae directed, motioning to Erionda's hand made staff. It's a softer underside and can become a deadly blow if you put a lot of effort into it.

Erionda nodded as she crept slowly forward. Her arm moving to point skyward. Uassae needed no further explanation as he moved into the sky. He too was feeling the pain of the long hunt, intensified by the pain echoing from his bonded. He would distract the dragon and turn it around to look up at him. That would allow Erionda to pull quickly into position and thrust upward. Flapping twice and he awaited the Hybrids signal he roared once he caught sight of it. The dragon startled and angry at having been disturbed, had not noticed Erionda perfectly poised below its head.

Staring up at Uassae the dragon roared in response. With a flood of adrenaline pouring into her veins like a hot brand Erionda took the moment to thrust upward with the pike like staff she had created. Her breathing hard as the dragon twitched with growing surprise. With a grunt Erionda struggled to push the pike further upward. Satisfied as the gurgle of blood filling the dragons breathing. It had worked. Taking a deep breath just before the dragon burst into ashes Erionda stumbled and landed on her butt. Breathing hard as she fell backwards into the leaf covered grass. " I did it! I killed it!" Erionda shouted with Enthusiasm.

Drifting between conscious and unconscious Erionda eventually pulled herself to her feet. Her pale eyes seeking out the large glinting orb at her feet. She had succeeded and gained herself another orb. Her second orb. And before Aquons return. Erionda smiled as she moved back towards Uassae. "We did it pall. We can sleep now."

Uassae rumbled his agreement, moving to support Erionda as the two headed back for their tiny clearing. All in the motion of storing her second orb carefully away in the sack.
