Battle Island exists off the cost of Tsukigakure and is where many of the spars and heavier training happens within the village. There is a deserted town there which provides a versatility to the battlegrounds. People may choose to fight near the water on the beach, within the town, around in the forests, or even on the mountains. It is far enough off the cost that S-rank techniques shot here will not harm the main village.

After leaving a note for his mother to reassured him that he had not died or gone missing and that he needed some more threads to repair his frog suit. Crossing the bridge to Battle island he could hear a pin drop. Walking into the center of the deserted town he looked around without a clue where to go next. Hizukiro would have to rely on his sensor powers using the Mind's Eye of the Kagura. Using the technique he could sense a huge chakra at the base of the mountain. "Of course it has to be that far, maybe it would be faster if I hopped...now there is an idea!". Smirking he started to walk merrily towards the chakra signature.

Several hours of walking and some hopping lead him to the area where the chakra signature was located, releasing himself from the jutsu. The whole area was next to a lake and a small cave nearby. "Get a little lost or did you hop the wa..." The masked man just sighed "Don't answer that.". Hizukiro tried to hold in his laughter but was unable to. "Well I don't want to waste my time with this if you aren't committed to achieving your dream then this technique would be useless with you, so are you or aren't you?" Hazukiro became serious and realized that he had to somewhat control his actions, no matter how funny they seem. "It's a simple question, are you or aren't you?"

"To master this jutsu you must become familiar with this!" Hazukiro was expecting some sort of awesome chakra tool or something wondrous. The man reached off the ground and picked up a water balloon. "That's....that's it, a water balloon what can you learn from a water balloon?!" Man simply went over to Hizukiro and smacked him on the head. Hazukiro rubbed his head "Okay, okay so what does this have do with learning this jutsu?". "Everything!", Hizukiro kept rubbing his head as the man went on "This will teach you how to use this jutsu and with your chakra control and my skills, with a week before my next mission, it will take a solid week of 18 hour days, now let's begin" Hizukiro whelped "Eighteen hour days...I've never even..." Coughing slightly the man walked over to Hizukiro in a calm fashion then whacked him on the head again. "Ehm, you can sleep in the cave and I have food bills when you get hungry, if you want to become a sage, this is baby work in the grand scheme of things."

"First take a water balloon!" Hizukiro picked up the water balloon "Pop it by--" Hizukiro instantly popped the balloon. The man walked over as Hizukiro winched in preparation for a head smack but that subsided as he man held the smack back. Sighing in relief the man smacked Hizukiro yet again "We can do this all day you know, so pay attention froggy!" "Yeah I know your lame nickname." He smirked then sat down Indian style in front of the man giving him his full attention."As I was saying, the first step in mastering this jutsu is holding the water balloon in your hand. focusing your chakra inside the balloon rotating the water it to move it in multiple directions then popping it in that fashion."

Hazukiro stood up and picked up a water balloon. For awhile he just stared it, not really knowing how to do what was just explained to him. Focusing his chakra he tried to burst the water balloon but was unable to. "Man this is hard even with my chakra control...is this really necessary" The man whacked Hazukiro, he almost seemed to like doing it. "Fine...wish I had my frog suit..." Pouting hours and hours went by as he tried to burst the water balloon in the fashion, it was a lot harder than what Hazukiro had originally thought.

Soon night fell on the first day and both of them stood around a small fire. "Don't sweat it kid, did you know your grandmother was the least likely to pass the chunin and jounin exams." Hazukiro perked up "Yup, she was even offered the poistion of Kage at one point but turned it down, you know why?" Hazukiro shook his head. "To teach and live long enough to see her grandchildren, you have to honor it with the most serious mind and determination." Hazukiro nodded then said in a serious tone " I will, I will!". The fire soon faded and they both went to sleep.

"Laughter is the best Medicine!"

╔══════════════════════════════╗

As the sun rose over battle island, it was now day two of the week and Hazukiro had made little progress but still had time. While Hazukiro snored the man got up and kicked him "Froggy it's time to get up!" Hazukiro waved him away, as this happened a large vein grew on the man's forehead "WAKE UP DAMN IT!!" Kicking him in the rear Hazukiro was finally up. "Why so early, I've never gotten up this earl-" " We don't have time for fun and games alright, let's do this" "As I said before" The man picked up a water balloon as he was talking "Spinning the water correctly with your chakra in multiple directions then bursting it will your chakra is the first step in learning this technique ".The man then focused his chakra pushing the water in multiple directions popping the water balloon.

Water trickled down his hand as Hizukiro looked on with awe. "Now, let's try this dance again, you're up kid." Nodding Hizukiro went over to a water balloon and picked up. Focusing his chakra he started to move the water in the ball, getting encouraged Hizukiro gripped the ball too tight and broke it. The man sighed and brought the young kid another water balloon "I brought spares, don't worry froggy, keep going until you get it right!" Hizukiro thought "I can't even get past step one, no I have to keep trying!"

The day went on Hizukiro was running out of water balloons. Towards the late afternoon even the man was starting to wonder if he was capable of learning the jutsu. Evening set in and the man was sure that it was now impossible, the young genin focused his chakra and burst the balloon in the fashion that goes with the technique. Soaked from the water balloon the Hizukiro jumped around and smiled "I did it, I did it, man that was so cool! The old man smirked "Maybe he can master this jutsu...". Night set in and both of them sat by the fire as the did last night. "You're on your way kid, tomorrow is the second step and gets harder as it goes along, so get prepared..." As the man was talking he noticed Hizukiro was already asleep.

Bright and early on the third day Hizukiro was able to get up on his own, "See I can get up without you needing to smack me ha,ha!": Hizukiro was starting to show to the man that he had what it takes. "Now for the second step this will teach you power rather than rotation." Walking over the a pile of rubber balls he picked up one then brought it over toe Hizukiro "With this jutsu froggy, you'll have to break a rubber ball filled with air." Thinking to himself "Aww, how am I going to do that...good thing I brought my extra frog suit to give me an edge hehe!". The man used his chakra, popping the rubber ball. "Using your chakra to burst the air is completely different than water, it requires your chakra to be much denser." While the man was lecturing Hizukiro was dressing up like a frog.

Face palming by placing the man's head in his hands he looked over "I AM TRYING TO EXPLAIN THE DAMN JUTSU AND YOU'RE PUTTING ON THAT DAMN...". The man stopped himself then smiled "He really is like the old lady, aw well." "Sorry sense-...wait a moment you haven't told me your name!" Hizukiro peered at him. The man then coughed "Sensei will do for now...keep trying to break the rubber ball.". Hizukiro nodded in the frog suit and kept going. Time was getting eaten up but at the end of the third day Hizukiro made little to no progress, still unable to pop the ball. Night fell and two looked up at the stars "Do you think there is an afterlife sensei?" HIzukiro peered over to the man waiting for his response. "Yes, yes I do, don't worry when your time comes you will see her again...god I miss her but she reminds me of you, which is enough for me for right now." The man smiled as the both watched a shooting star go by.

The sun barely started to risen on the fourth day and both of them were back at it. When the sun reached the noon position Hizukiro was feeling the eighteen hour days weighing on him but kept thinking of his grandmother and found the strength to continue. Focusing his chakra in a high density he was able to pop the rubber balloon. "Thanks grandma...!" he said silently as his sensei clapped. "Wonderful, just wonderful you've got a grasp on rotation and power, t's time we combined the two." The sensei brought over a water balloon. "For the last learning step we combine rotation the water with dense chakra without bursting the balloon". "Give it a go froggy" Froggy looked down in fear how was he going to do both of those steps at the same time. Early evening came on, Hizukiro refused to take a break until he mastered the third step. Now dark, the man walked over to Hizukiro "It doesn't make sense to do this in the dark, take off the sui...well you don't have to take it off but give your mind some time to rest, it won't do you any good like this, okay Hizukiro?". Hizukiro sighed then went off to bed.

The man woke up to hear the sound of laughter on the fifth day. Rubbing his eyes he thought he was seeing things but the water in the balloon was spinning without it breaking. "Look sensei, sensei look I did it I completed the first step!" Hizukiro danced around a bit as his man looked on in pride. "Good for you, you've taken some giant steps these last three days." Hizukiro "I knew the frog suite and frog boxers would bring me good luck!" The man sighed "You're wearing fro...oh never mind." Hizukiro stopped dancing around when he realized that he hadn't really been explained to him why he needed to complete these steps.

"Sensei, what is the name of this jutsu and why did we need to do these steps, did I use it already?" . The man ignored the first question "No, you've just been practicing how to create it, using it is different story.". The man walked over to the boy channeling and focusing his chakra in his right hand he created the spiraling sphere. "WOAH!" Hizukiro backed away "What does that even do sensei?". The man smiled walking over to a the wall of the cave. Pressing his sphere against the wall a giant hole was creating as dust and rock flew everywhere. Coughing Hizukiro couldn't believe the power of the technique. "I'll, I will be able to do...that..." The man nodded "When you get a hold of it yes, now let's really start your training."

Channeling his chakra he started to create another spiraling sphere, as he was doing so "Focus your chakra into your palm, create the dense sphere, keeping the chakra rotating then grind it into a target like so..." The sensei pushed the spiraling sphere into a nearby boulder completely shattering it. "I want you hit that boulder over there, give it a good try alright Hizukiro?" Hizukiro gulped then nodded. "Come on lucky frog suit!" Focusing his chakra into his palm he could feel the rotating and the spiraling sphere starting to form but it soon gave away and Hizukiro lost his focus. "Stop for today, I can see that you are overwhelmed, we still have two more days don't get in a panic." Hizukiro sighed as the last light of the fifth day set.

The next day(Sixth day) both of them got up and went right at it. Several hours of failed attempts left Hizukiro frustrated and a bit angry. Losing control Hizukiro left off in a huff. Sighing the man went after him "This isn't real smart kid, if you want to become a sage, this is apple pie compared to that, so give up on yourself already and stop wasting my time..." Hizukiro started to cry "I...I will never be able to become a sage..." The man sighed yet again putting his hand on his shoulder "Listen...you have your grandmother's humor, her mannerisms but you also have her intelligence and strength, put them to good use okay froggy?"

Wiping the tears from his eyes Hizukiro nodded. Walking back over to a boulder he looked fairly determined to execute the jutsu. Failed attempt after failed attempt Hizukiro was starting to fall in a rut again. Grinding his teeth he focusing his chakra into his palm yet again. Keeping the rotation going the spirlaing sphere was created then ground into the the boulder shattering as the man did before. "I...I did it..."I did it grandma!. His sensei smirked "The kid pulled it off, well there you go..haha" The man walked over to Hizukiro "Nice job kid, now you one final step before I let you go, hitting a moving target but we'll work on that tomorrow, it's getting late and you'll need your strength." Both of them smiled as they sat down by the fire. "I caught some lobsters instead of those horrible food pills, want some?" They both dined on lobster, Hizukiro eating most of it. "You work up quite a sweat..." Just after earting he was snoring. "Hizukiro...oh well tomorrow is the another day."

It was cloudy on the final seventh day of their training, Hizukiro had learned the jutsu but not quite enough to say he mastered it. "Last step, hitting a moving target!" The man created a shadow clone "Now, try to hit me with the spiraling sphere alright?" Hizukiro nodded his head then formed a spiraling sphere. Pushing it towards the shadow clone he missed it by a mile. "Come on kid, I know you can do better than that!". "Oh , oh wait, I need my suit..." The sensei sighed "This is the last day and...eff it, go ahead and put that stupid thing on!" Hizukiro nodded and then went change. After several moments he came out ready to land the technique. Forming the jutsu he went after the clone. Towards mid-day it looked like they were running out of time.

Getting a running start he formed the sphere then dashed after the clone, the cloen easily dodged the attack but Hizukiro turned around sharply and landed the attack on the clone. The sensei clapped as the clone was blown away into the wall. "Bravo, bravo kid but there is one more thing,.." "You are never to use this jutsu in hate unless you are in life or death situation, got that?" Hizukiro didn't know what he meant because he never had those sorts of feelings but nodded anyway. "Well, it's about my time to go off on my mission, remember what I told you ESPECIALLY the last rule okay?. He smiled then padded Hizukiro on the back. "By the way kid, I'm Yogen and what you've just learned is the a technique called the spiraling sphere." The man seemed nervous for the first time as packed up.Walking back down to the bridge he looked skiddish "This is where I leave you, good luck, I hope to see you around again, keep up the spiraling sphere alright?" Hizukiro beamed as smile as the Yogen disappeared in a poof of smoke. Walking back along the bridge Hizkiro headed back to his home to see his mother.

It didn't take long with her speed for VI to make land at Battle island where she had heard that she could find the most powerful bandit enemy she could face. Now she just needed to find him and once he had effectively done so, she would move to locate him. His mind was a hard one to find, almost as if he had known who he was dealing with. He probably did. She moved around rather quickly searching the abandoned town for her target. Her jet black, featureless eyes lit up when she caught onto his thoughts. He was alone, sitting in a room hoping he wouldn't be found. The man had familiar sounding thoughts, the kind that made Elizabeth's skin crawl. Only one group of people had such twisted minds... the kind that turn little girls into gladiators. Quietly, she advanced on his location, climbing silently to a window. He was sitting across the room, staring directly at her. He reached for something at his side, but the sight of his face sent VI into a frenzy. She kicked open the window sending glass via airmail all over the room. He drew a blade and swung it down at her. A tonfa found her left hand, which got between her body and the attack. Now that they were both in mid-air the entire fight seemed to slow down as she read into him. A few seconds later, everything went black for both of them and their bodies fell to the floor...

As his eyes open, the man found himself sitting in a chair in a massive open space filled with absolutely no features. Across the platform, staring at him with a finger at her lips, was Elizabeth who was curled up in a similar chair, rocking back and forth. Welcome to hell... was all she could manage to say through gritted teeth. The moment she spoke the space around the 30m wide platform was filled with flames and in the background a very disturbing scene played out for the two of them to fight to. She launched from the chair just before he did, sending hers off the edge and into the flames. He went low under her initial attack and rolled clear as she skidded to a stop and turned around. Her read hair floated around her stoic look as she drew her sword and advanced again. The enemy bandit, realizing where and who, parried the attack but was too slow to respond and as such found himself defending against a second sword slash. He back off as her onslaught of masterful swings got ever so close to hitting him. In her mind they were both moving so slow that she had almost minutes to prepare her next attack before he had even seen the first one coming, and he had decent perception as well. Finally she managed to shoulder block him, making him back off a step too close to the flames and he got a scorched shoulder.

He let out a slight grunt and stepped off of it, but looked across the platform to see her rocking in her chair yet again. She seemed to be reliving memories she wasn't interested in reliving again. A scared girl begged for a mother to save her who couldn't help her. She licked cuts she hid from her captors... scars she wanted to keep forever. Memories... memories. His face only appeared once, another man who had a slave fighter of his own. She had put up such a good fight. Did you know her name? You didn't did you? she asked, her voice low and scary. The bandit began forming handseals, and she watched them with disinterest. A lightning bolt flew at her, but she knew it was coming. Without so much as a blink, she dodgerolled, leaving the chair to be destroyed. She swung a hand in his direction with a single hate-filled swing. Touch the mind of a GOD boy. Know the power that you helped mold... she said as she Mentally Lashed at him. He was crippled with pain in his head suddenly and fell to his knees. A minute passed as he felt tried to focus on anything not currently making him faint. When he could see again he looked up to see a blade making its way slowly into his brain.

In the real world, moments had passed and Elizabeth stood up, wiping dust from her hands and dragging the catatonic body of the bandit. She threw him out of a window and leaped out after him. A group had gathered to help him, but they stood shocked as a woman with no wounds had somehow beaten their leader. You all look silly. Do you expect to defeat me? Maybe you'll protect him? HA! You aren't even good enough to watch what is to become of him... But she would show them anyway. With a bit of deviant glee now that she was back in the real world, she kneeled before his empty face, and kissed him. When her eyes opened they were ethereal and blue, and she ripped her head back. The man, no longer an empty shell cried out in pain as his memories... his personality, his everything was ripped out of him. It was slow, excruciating. She saw every inch of him, every vile inch and she loved it. It made her happy. It made her horny to tottally end someone's mental stability, even if it were only temporary. By the end of it she let out a sigh of pleasure and left her head backwards in the air, reveling in what she had just done. And them she broke his neck so fast a shockwave boomed and blood shot out of his mouth. She stood up, holding the lifeless corpse, it's eyes rolled back, and finally came back down. The enemy ninja all were having such deliciously fearful thoughts. Would you like to touch the mind of someone infinitely your greater? she calmly asked. Without letting them run, she began screaming in her head. Everyone screamed out in pain and she laughed as they fell to their knees, writhing in pain or screaming at nothingness. And as her final divine act she Ruptured the whole thread, destroying it and ending the lives of every enemy around her, molding the area so that she was standing on a single pillar twenty feet in the air. All was gone except for the head of her prey. When she finally stopped hysterically laughing, she was standing in the town as if nothing had happened to it, tears streaming down her face and a bloody head in her hand. Before all the threads got fully underwater she ran, leaving his head to rot and looking for her subordinates.

Kokutan dragged himself out of the water and walked onto the beach with a swagger. “Buncha’ punk-a** pirates. Swarming a ninja.” Recently he had been defeated on a mission he probably had no business being on. Rather than acknowledging the fact he probably shouldn’t have high jacked that missions from a terrified 5’0” chuunin, Kokutan felt he wasn’t were he needed to be physically. “Ninja needs to sharpen his moves. Get some variety on mah variety.” Which meant that he had to continue to develop his taijutsu. He met up with his wing chun instructor and muscled him into continuing their training.“’Ey, YOU told ME stage four is about pushing forward, and you want me to back off?” Kokutan waved his hands in the air all insulted like. “A predator must continue to evolve, you know? Which yea, is ironic because sharks don’t really 'evolve'" He tilted his head back and gave that dangerous look that spelled out something outrageous was about to go down if he was challenge. “But it’s a good thing I’m a person, right?” He put a hand on his instructors shoulder and smiled at him with his filed teeth. “Right?”

Mano sensei raised an eyebrow and twisted kokutan’s grip off of his shoulder, spinning his six foot frame onto the ground. Quicker than Kokutan could react, Mano sensei was slapping the dead out of his student’s eyes. “Boy, who do you think you are walking up here like you the hottest entry in the bingo book. People don’t even know your name fool!” Kokutan tried to shield himself but found it pointless. This old b*****d didn’t stop till he felt like it. Once he was done, he kicked Kokutan in the gut and told him to stand up.

“You’ve been doing well so far. Despite your, unusually thick skull, these lessons have really sunk into your body.” Kokutan grinned. “Well, you know.” Smack to the face. “No, I don’t. It’s still a mystery to me. As I was saying, the next part of your training should come natural to your particular mindset. You’ve got the positioning, the strength, the use of your entire body behind your punches. The next step is to learn how to force your opponent to go on the defensive so you can use the force of your stance to overwhelm them.” Kokutan was rubbing the side of his face with a rebellious stare, but he listened intently and watched as Mano sensei went into the theory and showed him the different ways to apply it. He pulled one of his students out that had a considerably smaller frame than Kokutan. “This is your sempai. Spar.” Kokutan looked down and started laughing. He pointed down and turned his head to his teacher. “Really? This guy? He…” The ninja slid back in the sand as he doubled over from the force and frequency of his peer’s punches. “Whattatatatatataaaah” Kokutan eventually got knocked to the ground. “Bwahahahahaha. See boy, that’s how you press an attack.” Kokutan groaned and rolled onto his feet. He shifted his center of gravity down into his wing chun stance and began to go back and forth with the tiny little monster. The bout was evenly matched, for Kokutan’s strength offset his sparring partner’s speed.

“Don’t just take the blows. You’re supposed to push forward. If you can’t counter the blows, trap them and make an opportunity.” His sensei continued to bark out orders and correct his mistakes as he practiced the drills set before him. Kokutan’s sempai threw an uppercut at him that the gennin tried to catch as his instructor instructed. As soon as he caught the wrist, the arm twisted through his grip and caught him in the jaw. “Faster.” Another shot aimed at his stomach slipped through as Kokutan tried to use his reach to grab his elbow but fell short again. “Faster.” Koktuan snapped his waist into his and finally snatched the incoming fist by the wrist and smashed it against the student’s body. “Aww yea.” Kokutan began to pound away at the little b*****d until he countered with a throat shot that made the shark disengage.

Although the two were covered in bruises and cuts, they kept clashing against each other. Despite the differences in their size, Kokutan looked worse for wear. The genin had been trying to grasp the fury flurry combo that his sparring partner kept using but it had been elusive. Painfully elusive. It was similar to the barrage of attacks that he normally used, but more…refined. Faster, more compact, more accurate. Kokutan’s eyes followed the fist barraging him as he listened to the criticism of his instructor. Pieces started to click and right as a dangerous throat punch flew in to finish Kokutan off, he knocked it to the side and just unloaded on his senpai. “Wah” Kick to the shin “Wah” Knuckle punch to the blocking arm. “Wattt” knee to the solar plexus “Watttt” Downward punch to dead leg his right thigh as he ended the combo “Waaaataaaaahhhh” Kokutan drove all his weight down through his elbow and into the diaphragm of his partner. His little frame finally gave way and lifted off the floor as he flew backwards. Mano sensei grabbed his student out of the air by his collar and set him down on the ground. “There we go.” Kokutan sunk down to his knees and Mano sensei patted him on the shoulder. “Now, you better polish that up and make sure to practice it. If you don’t, I’m gonna sick him on you again and you better believe he’s going to get better while you’re out their being a… real ‘ninja’.” Kokutan stared up at him and spit blood to the side as he grimaced. “That’s out word. You don’t get to use” The Atlantian wasn’t sure what came next because when he woke up he was in the medical hut. He looked to the side and saw a flower arrangement with a big card that said 'Ninja please'. Kokutan let out a hearty laugh as he planned his next training session.

[Genin] [Tsukigakure] [Bakuton] [Jashinist] [Taijutsu]

Shinji had showed up and stopped the little chat Luka was having with those two girls. He had slipped him a note that said some words that surprised the hot-headed youth. Where the hell had Petra gone? Shouldn't she be next in line for protecting the village? And yet Shinji had chosen him. That had made him feel quite smug. He had been complacent then, walking to the docks in silence. At first he felt cocky, but then that feeling was quickly replaced with a distant worrying. He chartered a little rowboat, opting to take himself to the designated meeting place. Luka grasped the two oars and began to pull back and push forth, a well practiced motion. The exercise was invigorating. Luka loved the feeling of aching muscles. Only half way there and he was already feeling the burn. A light sheen of sweat had Luka glistening in the moon light by the time he approached the island. He docked swiftly, tying up his little boat and grabbing his supplies.

Noticing he was the first one there gave Luka some time to think. Shinji and Elizabeth were definitely leaving the village soon. What were they doing? Leaving Tsuki practically defenseless was a seriously stupid choice. What would happen if Kaisen came back and all there was to stop him was a group of genin fresh out of the Academy. Luka scratched at his chin and shook his head, unbelieving of himself. He grabbed a kunai out of his pouch and stabbed it into his side, twisting it to feel the burn. "You do not fear death. You revel in it. Embrace the pain." He said through gritted teeth. Luka was ready to step up. Not only for his Lord Jashin, but also for his village. Whether he wanted to admit it or not this place shrouded by the moon had grown on him.

"The killing is for Lord Jashin. The suffering- well, that's for me."

"By the powers invested in me..."

Shinji arrived shortly after, gently setting aside the oars he had used to row his boat to Battle Island. He shouldered his pack, walking slowly to his destination, nearly fifty feet away from Luka. He nodded almost imperceptibly to his young charge, before dropping into a low stance, legs deeply apart, one leg out in front of him, the other out to the side, forming an L shape. His weight was almost entirely on his back leg, and each hand held an Arakh in it, the first parallel to his lead leg, the second held up, tip pointing to the sky and held behind him. He bent slightly at the waist, his torso just barely tilted forward.
As soon as he was settled into his stance, Shinji moved, his lead leg moving backwards, his body pivoting backwards as his leg swung in an arc, not bending or shifting any weight. As his lower body moved dynamically, his torso simply pivoted with the rest of him, his lead sword coming up, the pointed tip gutting an imaginary opponent's throat from the bottom, emerging out the back of their skull. His second sword performed the opposite action, coming down in a vicious chop that left an inch deep gash in the hardened earth. His leg and both slashes finished simultaneously, before Shinji performed the action on his opposite side, having switched his weight to the previous lead- and current back-leg. Having backpedaled and dealt with his opponents sufficiently, Shinji finished in the same position as before, but about four meters behind his beginning mark.
Next, Shinji lifted his leg up, sending out a vicious roundhouse kick to the nose or temple from his front leg, acting as a distracting jab while his lead sword dipped down and came up in a deadly crescent, having torn out his opponent's innards, or perhaps sliced open the Saphenous vein on their inner thigh, maybe even the femoral had the slice gone deeply enough into the opponent. As soon as slash ended and his leg was firmly planted, Shinji shifted his weight to the lead leg, almost bounding like a deer, swiftly pivoting on his landing foot to the left, lashing out with a sweep kick and a reverse-grip slash to the throat with both swords, repeating the action to the right. He began to spin rapidly, pivoting on either leg, dancing around his imaginary opponents, spinning with both blades bared, creating a moving wall of curved steel that would repel almost any overt attack. Continuing the deadly dance for almost half an hour straight, he would lash out with a thrust kick, slash, or a stunning move with the pommel of his swords. He finished with a massive jump, both blades twirling in the air as he brought them down, first the lead blade, then the second blade almost perpendicular to it, forcing the already momentum-laden attack to break through whatever defense was there previously.
Having finished his routine 45 minutes or so of warm-up, Shinji turned to Luka, eyeing him warily. He was a strong kid, that was for sure.
"Genin Jaeger," he began authoritatively. "Please come at me with only ninjutsu. I wish to test the strength of my Mokuton against your arsenal of Bakuton jutsu. Use whatever other ninjutsu you wish to, but no overt taijutsu styles are allowed."

"I grant you permission to die."

Chakra: 96/96

Move Learned!

Rising Crescent Slash
- Rank: C
If the user dips under an attack or finds themselves beneath the opponent's guard they will push off the floor with all their might and aim the tip of the blade up to the chin of the opponent in a rising slash. Even if the tip does not catch the opponent the curve of the blade is large enough to cause a deep cut on the chest all the way up.

Falling Crescent
- Rank: C
If they are above the opponent via a jump or level difference they will bring down the arakh with a fearsome amount of momentum. The Arrakh can very easily split the head of anyone it catches. The best thing about the blade is that the arrakh is a difficult weapon to block because of the immense curve. A block may still let the blade slip past.

Crescent blows
- Rank: B
Crescent blows is a series of strikes done after the user dodges a strike of some sorts. They will begin to pivot and close the distance, striking out with the curved portion of their arakh. The aim is to catch their target on the outside of the arrakh and slice deeply. If that is not possible the arakh can still be used in a number of ways. The tip can be used to easily pierce and tear. Once the first blow is completed the user will pivot once more and try again to either lop off a limb/head or cause long and deep cuts. These cuts are fluid and without pause since the outside of the blade does not cause any catching.

Satsuki Fuu

This was so bogus.

Some guy had showed up right after Satsuki declared that she would
train and grunted that they should haul their asses over to Battle Island.

So here she was. Where was the welcoming committee?

Ahh well, so be it. If she had to train alone, then she'd better get started.
Satsuki headed over to the nearest woodsy looking place and picked a youngish tree.

"Hello tree," she greeted it cordially.
"I am not going home until you are lying in a million pieces."

Satsuki started with some stretches,
making sure she got all the little muscles no one ever really used
for anything.
Halfway through a big toe stretch she wondered what she was
doing, but shrugged and returned to it.

A half hour later she was ready to get started.
Satsuki got out her scroll and read the techniques she needed.

Okay, Satsuki. Deep breaths. You can do this.

She held her kusarigama in her hands and after a silent
eenie-meenie-miny-moe decided she would start with the chain.
Besides, if she hit herself with it, she'd get a bruise
or a broken bone, not a lopped off arm.

That was a good decision, 'cause lo and behold, Satsuki swung it
around and it came right back and wrapped itself around her waist and
other arm and it took her a long while to get out of that.
But at least Satsuki had learned something: caution.

And maybe 'don't use too much of your strength?'

She gave it another try, spacing her legs out wide and giving the chain
more, well, chain, and swung it with a rather nice wrist snap.
It flew out of her hands with a snaky rattle and with some
encouragement from her wrist, wrapped itself around the sapling.
The weight led the way three times around and then perched itself
nicely on top.

Sweeetttt.

Now to get the thing loose. Satsuki gave it a yank, but it didn't budge.
Frowning, she sent a teeny bit of chakra and unlodged the weight.
After that, the chain flew back easily, and when she tried to hit the tree
rather than wrap the chain around it, she managed it.
Satsuki realized it was all in the wrist, and spent
another couple times alternating between wrapping and hitting.

Now for the scary looking scythe on the other side.

Satsuki launched the scythe, but it didn't go very far.
It was much heavier than the weight, and she had to keep that in mind.
Satsuki retrieved the scythe using precious chakra
- were her hands shaking or was she imagining it?
She wet her lips and gave it another go.

This time she sent it too far, and it didn't do anything except
get tangled in some bushes.
Cursing, Satsuki went to retrieve it manually and was scratched
in an extraordinary number of places.

Blowing her uneven fringe out of her eye, she let loose once more.
This time she threw the scythe and guided it to the tree.
It lodged itself with a satisfying thunk and Satsuki
did a victory cartwheel out of sheer joy.

Being ambidextrous was so awesome.

By the end of the hour, Satsuki was sweating and
panting but proud of herself.
She was really starting to get the hang of this.
She could now use both sides of the kusarigama
and could use sparse amounts of chakra to keep
them from getting tangled up because that happened
once and it was horrible.

What was really awesome about the kusarigama
was that she could use it to block and attack at the
same time if she could keep her wits about her.

Ahh, a couple 3000 more swings on both ends should do it.

The tree was nowhere near being done, either.

Gosh, I'm so hungry. Korea loves you, Yuna, and you're still the best we've ever had. It is 5 in the morning and I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep.

Luka just sat and watched his superior go through the motions of a number of techniques he himself already knew. His mind absentmindedly went to the kopesh at his side, cold steel glinting in the pale moon light. Luka placed a finger on the blade and began to trace down down it, following the groove of the weapon. The entire time his eyes were locked on Shinji. As the older man went through the motions Luka could not help but compare him to an artist. He himself believed there was nothing more glorifying then an exceptional kill. The feel of one's blade sinking into the flesh of another was almost an unparalleled pleasure. He felt a quickening inside of him and realized that he was excited. The entire time he did not say a single word, instead just drank in the sight.

When Shinji spoke to Luka he stood there for a moment not having heard him. A thirst had grown inside of him; one demanding blood. Luka rose to his feet, unfolding his long legs and rising to his full height. Without a word he began to unholster all of his weapons. He undid his pouch belt and dropped the supplies to the ground. Luka reached up to his chest and undid the clip holding up his butcher's blade. The sword sank down and embedded itself right into the ground. Now that Luka was free of his burdens he reached down and dug both hands into one of the pouches before turning back to Shinji. Luka met his eyes, his own glazed over with the thrill of the fight. Even if it was his own blood that was spilled that would be enough. Without much of a plan in mind Luka charged forward from the distance. He formed rapid seals and dove forward, planting his hands on the ground. With a savage roar he dug his fingers into the earth and in one swift motion flipped forward, ripping out a chunk of the earth and flinging it at Shinji. Afterward he would keep running, using the boulder has cover for his movements. Luka kept pace with the boulder and when he was a mere 10 feet from Shinji he jumped and slammed his hand against the rock, detonating it outward. It would send dozens of shards launching outward, capable of impaling flesh.

Shinji simply watched dispassionately, his calculating eyes taking in every motion, the flexing and lengthening of Luka's muscles, his favored lead leg, even the way he dug his fingers into the earth, seemingly without a care for the pain. Of course, as a Jashin-worshiping pain junkie, it wasn't really surprising that stubbed fingers didn't bother him. Shinji rocketed forward instead of dodging, drawing three shuriken from his back pocket in his left hand and folding them atop each other, palming the trio. As Luka jumped and detonated the rock, Shinji formed a Snake seal, creating a Dust Clone that detonated upon impact, sending out a massive cloud of dust and small debris. Just as quickly, Shinji made a Horse seal, sinking into the ground with the Earth Military Movement technique, coming up behind fifty feet behind Luka and unleashing two of the three shuriken, the third still held in his hand, ready to throw.

Most of the rocks Luka had created caught the brunt of the dust, though a bit did get in his mouth. When he landed he was reaching forward to try and catch Shinji before he could get away. A roar of anger ripped from Luka's lips when the Senju escaped. He pushed his palms into the ground and turned around in time to see the shuriken flying through the air. For a moment Luka stayed in his position, then suddenly taking off and forming seals. He ducked away from the shuriken and shot out two balls of mud, aiming to weigh Shinji down. The real trick was what he had made to crawl through the earth. Two clay snakes were busy making their way beneath the ground to Shinji's position, readying to reach up and ensnare him. Of course Luka would detonate them if that happened. They were fairly weak though; he had used the smallest and least deadly charge. Even with his bloodlust Luka did not want to maim Shinji. Much.

Shinji moved almost entirely by instinct, pirouetting away from the first mud ball, his torso twisted away from the nonfatal attack. The second mud ball, he threw his last shuriken at, the Jounin's incredibly accuracy and eye for detail causing the bladed projectile to hit the the larger mud ball dead on, the ball exploding on impact, both attack nullified. While Shinji was busy dodging the mud balls, he grabbed dirt from the ground, rubbing it into his legs and arms to reinforce them, acting as powerful Stone Bracers in case Luka tried anything funny. Somewhat paranoid after the innocent attack, Shinji hit the ground, pushing chakra through his hands, deep into the earth. The technique was called Swift Earth, and it pushed back what was directly in front of him by 30 feet, far enough that Shinji could draw out twin kunai and rush towards Luka, jumping about ten feet in front of him and coming down, his kunai flashing down in a reverse-hand grip, one hand poised to create a whole slew of Earth Clones, five in fact, each lumbering in to attack the genin.

Luka's fighting style rarely ever involved the use of his clay bombs or many ninjutsu. He always felt so removed from the battle. But Shinji had ordered him to do so, and he would do so. When the earth began to move back towards Luka he stopped and prepped his own seals. He crafted a single earth clone and grabbed its hand. The clone Luka spun around and whipped the actual Luka through the air and out of the circle of clones. Luka was aimed straight for Shinji, arms close to his chest which made him look like a bullet. He looked like he simply wanted to smash right into him.

The older man nodded appreciatively at his young charge's ingenuity, jumping forward and sliding underneath Luka as he landed, running and jumping up, flipping forwards to get behind his wall of five clones. Shinji threw both kunai, first the right, each aimed to hit a shoulder or arm, simply to distract. As he let loose his weapons, Shinji slapped five exploding tags on his wall of Rock Clones, one on the back of each clone, between their shoulder blades. Each clone ran in, moving at a fast jog towards Luka, aiming to simply get as close to him as possible. Once they were within ten feet of the teen, Shinji detonated each tag. Because they were located in the back of the clones, the clones would pop and send out rock debris and blunt force, as opposed to sharp blasts or heat that could seriously injure even the immortal Luka. After all, if your muscles are burnt off, you can't move no matter how immortal you are. Shinji simply prepped another kunai, finally forming the infamous Snake Seal he was known for. All across the skin of his left arm, small wooden points poked out, not even extending a millimeter, but ready to as soon as Luka got close enough, the catalyst for the Wood Style: Cutting technique, a simple technique that Shinji had made his trademark, mixing it with his powerful sword style.

Luka's clone had been left completely alone throughout Shinji's set up. So as the red-headed torpedo flew through the air he was well aware of the positioning of his targets. Before the clones could catch him in the blast Luka formed seals, timing it so his actions were covered by the blast. He substituted with his clone, allowing it to take the blast for him. Once Luka was out of the blast he held up his hand and waved at Shinji. "Hey! Elizabeth wants you, something about that life or death situation!" Luka said, calling an end to the fight.
