What do you think is more important to a character's success in a guild: the promos they deliver, how active they are, or their knowledge in the ring (when it comes to matches)?

Honestly, all three are important. You can be the most active person on the roster, but be complete s**t in matches and have a McGillicutty level of promo-ability. Having success requires at least competence in all three areas:
-Being good in matches (meaning taking lumps when it is feasible to take those lumps) means you are easy to work with and plan for spots when they make sense.
-Being able to promo well helps flesh out your character outside of the ring.
-Being active means you have more opportunities to do both.
All are vital, and no one is above the other.

For me, it would have to be in-ring know-how. People can be absolute s**t and still sign up for every card. Promos aren't exactly necessary to achieve success but people can be called out to give one when need be. Knowing how to put on a good match is key to getting ahead. You should be technical, you should tell a story, you should sell, you should do this and that to make yourself look good, There's many more things that should be considered when it comes to in-ring competition, and that's why I think expertise is crucial to success.

All of the above, and activity.. Without that it defeats the purpose of all of them

Activity is most important. I think both matches and promos are important. If given the choice between rp'ing with a good writer who doesn't know a lot about wrestling and a ok rp'er who knows wrestling, I'd personally chose the latter.. Which sort of lends itself more to matches.

Activity. It is lack of activity that killed the original Twisted Flow, and it is the one thing that keeps guilds alive. Without activity, you cannot succeed as a person or as a guild.
The other two things are equally as valuable as each other, but less so than Activity by a smidge.

I'm with Proto on this..
Activity is #1.
You need to be here. Cause if you ain't, it doesn't matter how good your matches are. Or how good you can cut a promo.. Or how awesome your character can be.
You can't succeed if you don't try, let alone show up.

I would say activity and matches are most important. I put promos just slightly behind for an obvious reason, not everyone is good at promos. In this, we are similar to the real wrestling world. Just as some wrestlers absolutely suck at promos and the same can be said for roleplayers. We all know several people around here that just don't like promos. With the right people, they can put on good or even great matches, but they can't do promos. I didn't really like promos originally myself. I did them, but I don't think I hit my stride until i got legitimately pissed at someone from FG (if you know me you know who i speak of. little pissant) and then I started doing them a bit more often and enjoying them. But activity and matches are what keep the guilds moving.

I did not think Freakshow was capable of causing the World's end by saying something so good and coherent.
