Greetings;
Alright, so if you have ever happend about Solitude in Skyrim and been near the winking skeever tavern, you might have noticed the one-eyed begger named Noster. If you talk to him and there may be other requirements involved too, he will mention his old Helmet and you can offer to go on a quest to fetch it for him. Two game plays in a row and it was in the same massive, winding spriggan infested cavern. Don't remember the name of the cave, just pointing out that it is supposed to be a radient quest and yet for me it has been set in a pretty stock location. Either way, you find it, return it and you get yourself some free training.
You might be asking yourself, why are you brining this up? I am sure others have probably happened upon this quest themselves, nothing special about it right? Well, even less special is if you sneak up on Noster afterwards and attempt to pitpocket him. Not suprising at all, you will find-he has the Helmet!!!!!
Now, here is why I am bothering to post this. I had done the quest and sometime later happened to go into the winking skeever to try and find this person about clearing some old guy's gambling debts. Well the man I was looking for wasn't in there, wasn't bothering with the compass directions, what can I say-I am a man and don't take directions well. Anyway! I decided to sneak around and just sort of rob the place and so I started to. Not much of interest to someone with more than 2 million gold and enough materials to make and sell enough junk enchanted jewlery for more than 10 times that in my inventory at this very moment, but strangely enough-I found Noster's helmet sitting atop a shelf in the tavern. Behind the counter, against the wall atop a shelf near the corner, there it was. Noster's helmet again while he has still got it himself. Thought maybe he lost it or pawned it off or something, but no, still has it. Might maybe have been a glitch in the game. Not unlike the 'do not delete' simple wooden chest item I found for sale in the inventory of the alchemist shop in whiterun(turns out that each vendor is supposed to have a hidden chest in their store that you cannot generally access but it holds their inventory and gold or whatever all. Supposed to make the game crash or something if you take it. Just hope that my stealing the helmet doesn't have any unseen consequences. But still. Anyone else notice this?
I actually looked this duplicate helmet up online, one message board dismissed it from what all I could see, saying that it can't be found there as the tavern isn't qualified as a dungeon. I don't think it is either but I think that there might have been something else planned going on here-Not necessarily unline Iverstead and the begger Narfie(?) there who you are tasked with finding his sister and the tavern keeper seemed to know more about what may have happened-had been lying to the begger and such. In either case though.
Thank you and take care...
