He was up early, at the crack of dawn it would seem. Golden colored eyes peered out over the forest that was called home. Swiftrunner had yet to take horse form as he stretched his wolfen legs out before him. With a yawn, he looked back to the cave he shared with his 'pack'. Giving a low rumble that some could consider a growl, Swift looked to two of the youngest members. It was time to hunt for the majority of the pack, whole most got their own meals.

"To your paws, its time to hunt before the others awake, hungry." Swiftrunner said in a commanding voice before heading away from those that still slept. It was going to be a long day to hunt if he were to do it on his own. It was time that the younger generations learned team work to taking down larger prey than rabbits.

Eyelids flickered as blue eyes rolled forwards as his pack commander issued an order. He had known not to argue when commanded. Rolling to put his hooves on the ground, Arik hated sleeping in wolf form, even though the fur made nights more cozy. "Ack, I'm coming." Arik muttered, head hanging low as he yawned, why did they have to get up so early? Couldn't the others just get their own meals when they got up? Shaking his shaggy mane out, the young wolf moved out into the open, hoof steps echoing as he moved. He cared not at this hour if he woke anyone else. A couple more hours sleep would have been nice, this grogginess was messing with how he normally operated.

Nanaks eyes flew open as she hurried to her feet in wolf form and darted after the elder male in anticipation. Since moving to this new herd she got to be a lot more.. free. Was that the word she wanted? Yes she supposed it was. The herd they had grown up in had been full of other stars coming and going, some got hurt a lot but all of them tended to take time out of their day to tell the young mare to bog off out of their business. If it wasn't that they had a grave story to tell or a lesson in life she was required to hear not that she didn't appreciate it but it was a bit depressing.

And her parents... well she loved them but her father had always been a little 'off' with the wolf, whereas she embraced it. Here with her and all their lady she got to just be herself and didn't even mind the commanding tone of Lady's left hoof...paw... what was it again? Either way she was excited to be included and have a chance to learn something new, it was going to be fun!

Somedays Arik wish that he had his sister's enthusiasm, much like this morning. Stretching his limbs, the arrowheads on his leg wraps clinking together in the action. He yawned watching his sister zip past him. "Good morning to you too." Arik said as he moved a little faster to catch up to the others. Looking about, Arik wondered if any of the others were going to be joining them, but it appeared that it was only the tree, low numbers. Easy to move in and out of trouble, should trouble arise. "So why the early rise? The sun has yet to really enter the sky over head." Arik complained as he looked at the wolf that sat before him, its golden eyes narrowed a bit. This made Arik back step a moment before looking submissive.

Swiftrunner sat at the edge of their home clearing, waiting for the two nips to catch up to him. He sat tall as a wolf in his position should. Those golden eyes narrowed at the complaint of one of the two he had selected to accompany him on this mission. "You are welcome to go back to bed, Arik Silvermane, but don'y expect a meal either." the large wolf stated as the younger backed off.

"I had heard from your mother that your last herd didn't give much to your training." Swiftrunner began as it seemed that both were present. "Such slack on their part is mine to take up at current. What do you two know of working as a team to take down large prey?" With ears tilted forwards he waited for one of them to answer. His eyes narrowed more as Arik yawned again, that would not do. Not at all.

Nanak was quite impressed how quickly she managed to catch up to the Elder, he was probably slowing down for them she figured but still she hoped all her adventures in their woods was starting to aid her at least physically. During the two males exchange she kept her attention on Swiftrunner, he was leading them and teaching them and though growing up she hadn't really accepted authority now she knew when to keep quiet. This was her chance to learn something new and make a good impression! Ok she wasn't too bothered about the impression but she did like this herd so far and being on good terms with The lady and Swiftrunner couldn't be a bad thing.

Resisting a shrug she flicked a glance at her brother before returning to the larger stallion, shaking her head "Nothing, we were not encouraged to hunt, when the need arouse our parents tended to it."

((If that is untrue poke me and I'll change it.xD Worgen weren't really happy about the curse so I kinda figured their parents would try and have them as horse as possible. xD))

[[ Its fine Rip. ^^ ]]

"Unweaned pups" Swiftrunner muttered turning his head to one side as he observed Arik who seemed to be drifting off to sleep on his hooves. "Alright you two, lets get a move on. The sun will crest the trees before we even find the trail to anything remotely food worthy."Not really waiting for a reaction, Swiftrunner headed into the trees, leaving his copper colored tail to be the last thing seen as he vanished through the bushes. This was going to be a long day with untrained pups, even if they were adults.

"Hopefully you two know what to hunt for when looking for food. Or shall we start with rule one?" Swiftrunner had stopped as the trees started to thin, leaving a wide open field before them. His golden gaze looking out over the green, searching for anything that would resemble a fine first target.

Arik was indeed starting to fall asleep, it was way too early, he was used to getting up later then this. Shaking his head, Arik watched as the elder moved away into the bushes, leaving him to stare. Giving a glance back at the den, he sighed and shrunk down to his wolf form and headed after the elder. "The last herd we were in was much sheltered." Arik frowned. "All we were allowed to do was watch, growing up was boring."

Stopping close to the elder, he knew that his sister would be there. She was much eager to begin, really he was too, just not at this hour. Turning his blue gaze down over the fields, he let out a wolf yawn before scratching behind an ear. "What exactly are we looking for? Seems that there ain't nothin' out here."

Not responding to the first part simply being quick in her paws to follow Nanak was not going to get left behind, it was way to early to fail. Having not shifted to horse form had probably helped, not needing to adjust to being awake in both forms was a lot easier. Nanak enjoyed her wolf form, it was actually really nice to be allowed to maintain it, it was safer in a herd with large numbers of meat eaters. Though she didn't expect a fellow star was on the menu she had no intention of tempting fate, plus it was fun to be a wolf, more useful appendages.

Scanning the clearing she looked for anything out of the ordinary as she flexed her claws just to test their reaction time. "Movement?" Finally speaking she kept it short and simple, a hushed tone not to alert anything hidden to their presence. It was a guess for the most part but anything moving more than the wind permitted was a likely bet to be edible.
