Shenja and Diedre were traders, but they weren't a part of any particular stall. No, their job was much more expansive.
Shenja was going around to other stalls in their caravan, checking up with everybody, chatting up people, occasionally hawking wares, but always flitting to another stall. He was keeping things lively, enjoying the crowds- so many people!- and basically doing what his mentor had told him to do. That is, be there to fix things if things start to go downhill... or get help.
Diedre would have been at a stall, but she had to stay with Shenja. It was so easy for him to get in trouble and she really just wanted to have a nice, trouble free stay. For once.
So she was following along, keeping an eye on the boy, preventing him from his own exuberance.
Speaking of...
"Hey Diedre" he called, balancing on a fence, "Look waht I can do" he gave her a wide grin that told her that yes, he knew that he had done this many times before, and yes he knew it drove her insane because... what if he fell?
Diedre knew she was predictable. "Shenja! Get down from there!" she called, walking quickly over.
"Naaaah" he said, just short of sticking his tongue out at her. He was teasing, not taunting, after all, "I like the view from here!"
She looked up at him, staying firmly on the ground. She couldn't grab him off the fence- he had grown too big for that turns ago. So she just stared him down. "You come down from there right this instant!" she said sharply.
"oooor?" he teased, grinning and, this time, balancing on one leg, enjoying the rising color in his sister's face, "Or what?"

It had not been his idea. It had not been his intention to leave the Weyr today. At all. His dragon said it would be a good idea to go to the market. That he wanted to sit on the ramparts of the hold to sun. F'law wasn't sure he believe the dark blue. After some long moments of silent argument, he rose to get the flying harness. I have no idea why I let you talk me into this. He told the patiently waiting dragon. The harness went on from swift practice. Grudgingly F'law grabbed a couple of marks. He might actually find something he would want. With a heave the rider climbed onto Zurith's back and settled into the familiar neckridges. What hadn't seemed possible now almost seemed natural. "Lets go." Zurith rumbled. You let me talk you into this so you can get out. His eyes whirled blue as he moved to allow His to fasten the harness properly. He would never tell anyone that His was afraid of the open blue sky. The blue kept his rider's mind off the open sky above them until it was time to take off. He did as gentle a take off as he could. In a blink of an eye they were gliding over a large field outside the hold.
He peered down at the people below curiously. Some, not as use to dragons, acting nervously. Zurith landed in a spot large enough for him. His attention was attracted to two teens nearby. One standing on a fence. He folded his wings and allowed his rider to dismount.

"... or you'll get eaten by a dragon" Diedre said quickly, glancing up and flinching slightly as the dragon landed nearby. No matter how many times they went to the weyr, she had not gotten used to dragons. "Now get off the fence."The flying part, she didn't mind so much as the sudden appearance part. Though the fact that they were enormous didn't help matters. "Nope!" said Shenja, standing on his toes for extra height and for extra headache to his sister. "Dragons don't eat people!"Heeeeey, was the dragon looking over at them? "They might give it a try for you, you little..." Diedre was starting to turn red. Shenja laughed. "Hey, it's looking right at us!" Shenja waved at the big dragon and did a careful little bounce. Nobody would have to know that he was afraid, for a moment as his feet hit the fence again, that he would fall. But he managed not to. C'mon Didi! Wave at it!""Shenja, get down from there right... now~!!!" her eyes widened and her voice rose to a squeak as he did his trick. She rushed forward to catch him in case he fell. A thousand horrific scenarios played out in her head, which thankfully didn't come to pass. She gasped a few grateful breaths. "And its a male. Blue's are males." she said, glaring at him, "You've had your fun. Get down now." "Nope!" Shenja said, grinning.

Are you going to say hi? F'law had followed the dragon's gaze to two teen nearby. One standing on the fence, and the other more sensably on the ground. Why don't you go amuse the locals while I look around at the stalls then. They seem to have taken a fancy to you. The dark blue rumbled and nodded his head to the child who waved at him. They seem friendly enough Mine. Perhaps they can show you around. He put on his most innocent look.He frowned, stopping to turn back to look at Zurith. So you say. F'law sighed and headed off the field. "Morning. You look like you could point a fellow toward some interesting stalls."

"Didi! It nodded at me!" Shenja thought that was pretty cool. Dragons weren't high on his mind, but they were still neat. "I'm going to go say hi!" He said, jumping off of the fence, only to have the scruff of his shirt grabbed. "Shenja, no." she hissed, holding him back, "Don't bother the dragon." it was then that she noticed the rider coming towards them. Oh dear, were they in trouble, or more likely, was Shenja in trouble? "The rider is coming over. Behave yourself"Shenja, of course, didn't listen. He disentangled himself good-naturedly from his sister's hands. "Good morning to you too!" he grinned, always the friendly brat, "I sure can, what sort of things are you looking for?" he said, slipping into salesman mode. Didn't matter if the sale wasn't his. Things got sold, it benefited everybody. Diedre sighed deeply and moved to be close by in case her brother did something really stupid, nodding politely in greeting. She would be a polite girl, as polite as if she was from a hold, and not a trader. Appearances were worth a lot. She just wished Shenja would be more discrete, maybe a bit more dignified.
