They were staying with the doctor woman and her son for the time being while her father rested and healed. Tilawen wondered if their extended stay was due to his wounds or if he secretly wanted to prolong his stay with the woman. There was something about that which caused the young girl to be confused, after all Burrom never wanted to stay in one place long, due to...well her. Her mixed heritage meant they faced a lot of trials and hardships and it was never a hidden fact that it was her fault.

So get out of the house, and perhaps away from the mindless chatter of the young boy who she had been staying with the young girl was trying to get away and perhaps gather wood. A good enough excuse as any ... gathering fire wood, since the rains had let up the wood would still be damp but at least she could gather it and pile it next to the house. Perhaps it would seem like she was being a good child helping around the house of a woman she barely knew, but it was for purely selfish reasons.

A sling across her back and she was off, her small form disappearing into the forest. It...seemed so much darker once she had gone several feet into it, looking back at the house to only discover how far away it looked. Trembling slightly she gritted her teeth, after all what would her father say if she was to admit she was afraid? A deep breath her hand going into her pocket where a precious item was stashed. A cookie. She hated to admit it, but the cookie was so precious to her that she had been saving it, she wasn't sure if she would be allowed more and so had been hoarding the ones given to her by the young boy.

Slipping the cookie out of her pocket she frowned seeing how damaged it looked from her movements, licking the crumbs off her fingers she dug her fingers back into it to discover more crumbs. Unaware of course a pair of yellow eyes watching her from above a rock face. The red head gave a sigh as she consumed every single crumb she could find in her pockets. Looking over the cookie in her hand she wondered what was a better way to travel with the messy things so that they didn't fall apart.

Of course she wasn't going to get a chance to think about it long when a snarl grabbed her attention, head turning to suddenly have a tail lashed out towards her head. She didn't have time to react as the tail smashed into her side sending the young woman flying several feet to the side. Even being surprised like this she didn't utter a single word, no cry of pain no squeak in surprise, her body just trembled from the shock of it, her right arm..she couldn't feel her right arm!!

Tears gathered at the young girls empty eyes, she struggled to get up but found that her arm continued to give out under her weight, rolling however and she managed to survive the ysali dragons next attack. Heavy claws dug deep into the earth where her body had been only seconds ago the girl had by this point managed to stagger up onto her feet, not daring to look back as she fled from the creature. How was she suppose to fight back? She had no weapons? She had no means of defending herself. Silently she wished that Burrom was here, the irony being in that mere thought. Some bitter part of her stating that he would probably let the drakein kill her, he would be better off if she never existed after all.

Her feet hit the ground hard and fast, her left hand clung to her numb right one, it caused her balance to be spotty and a shift of leaves under her feet ended up causing her body to crash back to the ground. Not that it would take any time for the ysali drakien to catch up with a little girl. In fact it was only moments behind her, getting ready to pounce when it seemed to stiffen up and even...back off?

The young girl didn't know what to think, that was until she saw a wisp of something yellow and green come from the corner of her peripheral vision . Her body stiffened as a another drakien appeared at her side, large...a deep grey purple with vibrant green along its chest. It was a terrifying looking dragon compared to the one that had been just hunting her.

Shrinking into herself she waited for death to come, after all now there were two of them...she would be eaten for sure. Eyes closed she tried to be at peace with that idea, but she couldn't. Despite everything she didn't want to die. There was the sound of retreating foot steps.. as well ones approaching.

"My my my...a timid little thing like you wandering around in such a dangerous place..."

Tilawen found her face jerk upwards in surprise at being spoken to, to only be surprised to see it was the new drakein who was now speaking with her.
