World As They See It
The world is their battlefield. From cities to ruins. Mountains to plains. There is little part of the planet that has escaped the bloodshed of these two warring factions. Mankind's fate rests in the balance. Will they be forever and unknowingly enslaved? Or will they be free? It is decided here on the field of battle...Planet Earth.

*The sun was high in the sky, it was a little after noon and even though there were few people around the place had a buzz about it close to that of grand central station. The one person that stood out from the rest of the group was the only one there with vibrant red hair. Inanna, Leader of the Noe Union was having a vacation from her normal duties at the Union…meant going back to her normal job; Archeologist. Why someone would want to go from one job to another was unknown to the rest of the Union. She didn't bother explaining either. Inanna was in her khaki pants, linen button up shirt and knee high brown boots. The normal clothing she wore on her digs. Her red hair was tied up into a high pony tail too keep it out of the way. She had a pair of binoculars around her neck and a brown bag slung on her shoulders. The whole situation was relaxing to say the least, for her anyway. It was then she heard her “phone” ring. The red haired woman was in the middle of talking with another on the site. Thus far it was without a name but the whole area was either a temple or a tomb, not much had been excavated yet so they didn’t know what it was. They had been discussing the recent find, a wall that hinted that there was a secret room on the dig site somewhere it had got the site leads talking on what the next course of action should be. That was when a strange ringing sound broke the quiet. It also got Inanna to freeze for a moment, blinking was the only thing she managed to accomplish. The elders chuckled lightly at her actions and smiled “knowingly” at her. It was her boyfriend…or at least that is what she claimed to stop from any further interrogation on their part. Dismissing herself from the group, Inanna walked away from the dig sight and closer to the forest and cliff edge…she gazed at the scene in all its glory. The woman was in heaven. Tapping her ear piece to turn it on she spoke.* Inanna – Hey Reg, how are you? *Regi or Reg was the Communications Director and one of Inanna’s confidants. He was so far the only one besides Colleen, the Staffing Lead, that Inanna was used to being herself around…including showing how unsure she was. There could have been others but the Leader hadn’t told them if there was.* Regi – I’m doing good Inanna, how’s South America treating you? Inca ruins this time right? Inanna – Oh, it is absolutely beautiful down here. You really should have come with Reg. Though I admit the low oxygen levels take a little bit to get used to. I mean we are what? Only 12,000 feet above sea level…I think anyway. Not exactly sure but yes, Incan ruins, these ones were just stumbled upon by accident. There is just so much that these mountains and forests are hiding that it no wonder we don’t find more of these…then again there aren’t many hikers up this way. *The man chuckled on the other end of the line. This was something that worried Inanna little bit Regi was sure that it would have had problems. This was the real Inanna and he was one of the few that got to hear the love and the expression she had in her voice.* Regi – That’s alright, I’m glad to see you are relaxing a bit. The mission two weeks ago was something else. *The young female gave a groan and rubbed her side. Yeah, that was one hell of a mission. Inanna was still nursing a nasty bruise the refused to go away. How she wanted to forget the Zambezi incident, it didn’t want to disappear from memory yet though.* Inanna – You don’t need to remind me…trust me, I remember. *Seeing something shiny reflecting in the distance, Inanna brought up her wonderful sightseeing instrument. There really shouldn’t be anything that was up here like that, she wondered if it were more tourists. As she gazed through the binoculars what she found was not something she wanted to see. There on the other side was someone looking back at her…through binoculars of their own. They were wearing the foot soldier uniform of a Kepi. As they saw that Inanna had indeed found them…he waved at the Noe leader. Blinking a few times the redhead lowered her own the younger girl started backing up and as she did so. He couldn’t have been the only one. Bringing the sight instrument back up and looking around besides the idiot with the binoculars there were at least 20 to 30 foot soldiers that could be seen around him. It was also time to inform her Comm Director on what was going on. She would need some help for this one, there was no way Inanna could take on all those Kepi at once.* Inanna – Regi…I’m going to need back up. Check if there is anyone in the area or close by, I- there are a few, this is not a drill. *Once that was said she bolted into the forest. She knew they had a few people stationed around but she couldn't remember who or where they were...that part was up to Regi and she could hear him on the other side sending out the Emergency Call.*

James sat quietly on the helicopter, checking and cleaning his sniper like he always did after a mission. His last mission was really simple, take out an high intel agent for the Kepi. Accross from him sat the young assassin Sami. She was back to being her quiet shy self since the mission was over. She was one of the few that didn't mind working with James on mission. In actualailty, she did more mission with James then anybody else in the Noe. James understood why though. He had saved her on a mission before she herself was killed by Kepi assassins. He kicks himself for being too late to save her parents. Oddly enough he still manages to spook her from time to time, but that's somthing he can grown accustom to. Many around the base feared for their lives when accidently bumping into him or some small like that. He then spoke up to Sami, but continued to pay mind to his sniper. His voice was as it always was, lower and emotionless.
James: Good job today Sami. You were able to take out your target around the same time I did.
Their mission was a combined one. James had to snipe his target that was in a car and Sami had to take out her that was having a meeting with some one. Their timing was nearly perfect. After she took out her target and the other person, James provided her cover fire from his sniper so she was able to escape without any further confrintation.
It was then he recieved an emergency call from base. It was Regi telling anyone in the area to provide help to Inanna. Without even a secound waited after he heard 'request back-up' he was at the pilot set telling her the new location to head to. He then came back to his seat and looked at Sami.
James: New mission. Provide support for the Chief. ETA 5 minutes. Ready up.
James, from what people have gather, use to be military so he referes to Inanna as the 'Chief'. With that being said he loaded up his rifle and shotgun. He even reached behind the seat and pull out a katana and strapped it on. He was ready for anything the Kepi could throw at him.

A dagger had been tossed upward. It was caught by the blade. She grunted in pain.
Fatal pulled his cowboy hat down. His tongue clicked.
"I warned you against that. Yet..." An emergency call notified Fatal. His partner resting on the couch in the worn-down shack motioned to move, but Fatal stopped her. She wasn't needed for this. "This is why we came: for our Leader." Fatal explained. "No. This now is a detour." She said. "Either way, stay with the mission. I will account for your skills."
Fatal worked alone. A partner meant to better his cooperation. Noe work could be found near the excavation site. Along with a few others, Fatal followed their Leader to South America. So far, he paired up with an artillery soldier. They supposed to approach a resident accused of dealing with Kepi affairs.
On the new command, Fatal left his partner to the menial task and braced for more meaningful action elsewhere.

Reen sat up in a tree overlooking the dig site, savoring the breezy weather. This normally wasn't something he'd take the time to do, there were no locks or alarm systems or guards. But for some reason the news of a dig site had intrigued him so he thought he'd come along, not in any official way however. Slipping onto a transport vehicle and shadowing the team had been easy enough so now he was taking some time to relax. That was until the emergency call sounded in his earpiece.
Sighing he opened his eyes and glanced around. There was a bit of movement around the site but other than that he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. That was until he saw the leader come running by the base of the tree he was in. A couple seconds after she ran by he noticed another figure running in the same direction, barely making a noise. Flipping down to and running along a lower branch Reen lept out of the tree and landed on the figure, his tanto piercing the figures heart through his collarbone. A Kepi assassin. Seems like things were about to get interesting. He looked up at the Leader.
"Be careful, there may be more."
He stood, wiping his blade clean on the dead assassin's uniform. He sheathed the blade and pulled out his dual silenced pistols, cocking them and scanning the area.

*As she was running through the forest, the Noe Leader knew they would be after her. She was trying to lead them away from her colleges back at the dig site. The red head didn't wish for them to end in the middle of this. Seems the Kepi were still sore over the information Inanna had gotten a hold of...before them, of course. It was as the red head was dashing by one of the thicker trees in the area did she realize something wasn't right. Actually, it was right after someone was killed did she notice something was up and then tried to stop. Sadly, being on a hill top did not seem to help much at all, slipping on to her butt with a slight "oof" on her part. The red head then looked behind her. It was Reen, thank goodness. She wasn't alone here any more. He spoke to her as he was getting himself armed. Sighing, she just let herself chuckle for a minute...of course there were more. She'd inform the younger brunette all of what that was going on in a minute for now other things had to be accomplished. Taking this time she dug through her bag and acquired her weapons. Which for some reason always ended up at the bottom of her bag. They just couldn't stay in the places she had originally put them in, that would be far too easy. Strapping on her guns, knives and shifting her sword into its unfolded position, the young woman readied herself for hand to hand combat.* Inanna - Might be more? There were at least 30 foot-soldiers over yonder. Needed to get them away from the dig...I don't need them slaughtering the crew just because they were there. Just be careful there are drop offs everywhere, we are in mountain country after all. *When she stood up, the woman got her foot stuck. Bending down a bit more she narrowly escaped death. Her vibrant red hair which she normally kept pinned back instantly fanned out. Her hair band hand been sliced off with a single shot... Inanna quickly ducked back down. On the ground were strands of her hair which stood out well from the rest of the foliage. Near it though at the base of a tree were the remnants of what had tried to kill her. Oh...she was in trouble now.* Inanna - Regi, I've been shot at. We have the Marksmen here. Patch me through to connect with the others in the area. *In a quick panic the Comm Director fed the link through to communicate with the all the other Noe in the area. There was now a bigger threat and it was to more than just her. She needed to warn the others before someone else got hurt The "Marksmen" was an elusive figure whom the Noe had yet to completely identify. Their trade mark was the fact they used bolts not bullets. A normal crossbow would be unable to get the same distance as a bullet. This man had something special. Studying the bolts they came across the design as highly unusual for the fact that they pretty much crumpled on impact but could still puncture flesh, they were one time use bolts. Highly sophisticated and deadly effective...seems this information Inanna had gotten is worth killing for, more than usual.* Inanna - Everyone who can hear me please be careful the Marksmen is here I repeat the Marksmen is here. Watch your heads.
*Up on a ridge, hidden beneath the foliage was a man with long black hair that was pulled back and secured at the base of his neck. The rest of his features were obscured by the foliage. He was hiding as any good killer would do. He was looking through a sight but obviously he didn't seem to get what he was after.* Zypher - Damn...missed. Little girl can't sit still. *He was waiting for another shot. There was no way that the little red head of the Noe would stay in one place but she smart...too smart at times. This only intensified the challenge. Not that Zypher minded, it only proved how good both were and he was determined to be the better of them. Now if only his capable back up showed any signs of being useful, that would be something else.*

Sitting across from James on the helicopter, Sami also sat quietly, her mind on the mission that they had just completed. She reflexed on all of their missions so she could get better on the areas where she lacked. It was then she heard James complament her Lookin up at him, she smiled a little and bowed her head respectfully.
"Thank you, sir. I'll do better next time."
Sami was the least skilled in the Noe, so she was always trying to get better, especially for her partner. She felt indebted to James for saving her back then. That's the only reason why she volunteered to work with him.
Suddenly, the emergency call came through their comm. Not long after, James spoke again and Sami nodded. Reaching up, the girl pulled the hood of her uniform low over her head and returned to the more focused state of mind she has during missions. She then turned and called to the pilot.
"We need to hurry!"

Among the Kepi soldiers was one in particular. A Kepi operative who sported armor that differed from normal soldiers. Ah, but this wasn't a soldier, it was an infiltrator, a spy. His name? Alan Carter. He was stationed at the dig site among the foot soldiers for the primary purpose of espionage, and if possible, an assassination. Carter was already in somewhat of a bad mood, for he was disappointed in himself after letting The Noe Union get their hands on the information first. Seeing the man with the binoculars waving at the girl who then darted off just made his mood worse. He couldn't hold the urge to smack the man upside his head. It wasn't long before Carter started scolding the man.
"You idiot! You let her spot you. This just makes our jobs all the more difficult!"
As Carter proceeded to yell at the man, he noticed the glare off his binoculars, and was quick to rip them out of his hand.
"Give me those damn binoculars before you turn into a bullseye for the enemy marksman. I don't have time to bury you here, I have other things to do."
Carter threw the binoculars on the ground and walked off, he knew it was too late for him to catch up to the girl that ran off. It was Zypher's job now. Carter's only option was to wait for new orders, or plan his next course of action.

Assassins and infiltrators would work the area to their advantage. Knowing Reen to be an insightful man, Fatal went hunting. Small prey hardly earned his time. Those worth something to the Kepi demanded Fatal's attention.
Hearing from the Leader the shady target known as the "Marksman" was here, Fatal redirected his intentions. Reen could bodyguard the Leader. Fatal would chase off the Marksman. The Marksman seemed the highest priority now.
It made sense the Leader had been attacked; announcing an exact target proved her eyes saw his weapon. The Marksman needed to be in position to attempt such a thing. Information about his attack range warned not to underestimate it. Fatal planned to judge appropriately. The Kepi was believed not to squeal on their comrades. Fatal intended to save time by aiming solely at the Leader's attacker.
Arriving in the mellow forest, Fatal hid himself. The last thing he wanted was interference. His dare went to the Marksman. One more fired shot and Fatal intended to find him. Scaring him off should suffice. Safeguarding the Leader still acted as the Noe's current objective.

Reen nodded as Inanna informed him of the other troops and to watch for the drop offs. This wasn't a simple assassination attempt, they meant business. He observed his surrounding as she armed herself, looking for anything that could prove advantageous in battle. Reen hated these kinds of fights. He was more used to fighting in enclosed spaces at night, or at least in some sort of darkness. There was too much space around him, and the line of sight was too great. Even surrounded by trees he felt as though he was standing on a stage in an empty room.
It was then that Inanna skirted death. Looking back at her he watched as her hair fell and she notified Regi of the Marksman's presence. This frustrated Reen even more and made him feel more out in the open. Holstering the pistol in his left hand he drew his tanto and held in in a reverse grip. A bolt was slower than a bullet in theory. He had never tried to deflect or block one, he also wasn't usually shot at, but he'd give it a shot if he had to. He did have great reflexes after all. He smiled and hoped that that would be enough. But even if he couldn't he had to make sure Inanna stayed safe, even if that meant taking a bolt.
He looked where the bolt had landed and stepped in front of Inanna.
"The tree to our left should give sufficient cover. Go, I'll cover you. Hopefully a chopper is on it's way."
He tried to figure the approximate trajection of the bolt and fired a couple shots off into the distance. He didn't expect them to hit but he didn't really have any other options to return fire. Glancing back at Inanna he half smiled.
"You look better with your hair down by the way."

*After informing the rest of the crew about the Marksmen, Inanna was content for the moment staying where she was. That was till Reen made mention of the tree being better cover. Nodding she quickly made her way towards it. The woman was surprised that they had not been fired upon again. Seems her back up was even giving the Marksmen a problem. It was safe for the moment. Time to take a breather. Leaning against the tree she could feel the coolness of it. She was in the shadows and it did a wonderful job of hiding her but the hope was they wouldn't be pinned down here. That would bring about more trouble then the two or maybe three of them could handle...seeing as she didn't know who was where.* Inanna - I am not so worried about me getting away from them as I am they drawing in too much attention...just our luck then we have the authorities coming this way. You know they will come this way if the Marksmen can't hit me they will use force. *As the Noe leader was readying her herself for when the enemy came close she heard the brunette say something. It got a chuckle out of her. Even in battle it was nice to have someone remind them they are human. Inanna actually liked wearing her hair down but the issue was it would get caught on everything in the field. Archeology wasn't kind to hair all that much. Smiling she replied.* Inanna - Wish the artifacts could say the same, but they seem to like it out of the way. *Banter aside the red head wished she could see what was going on but that would risk the Marksmen's bolt. Something that would definitely be an issue if she decided to catch it with her head. That was not going to be recovered from so easily.*
*The older man scoffed at what he was seeing through his scope...wonderful they just couldn't let the girl die. Then again would he honestly allow his leader to be killed...probably not. Then again his reasons circled around more so about being hunted by the mob then just another group out for revenge. He was sure it was much worse. Inanna had help and Zypher was about to have an unwanted guest in his mist if he didn't watch himself. Firing another bolt would be too risky right now till his own annoyance was dealt with. The man was quick but Raven haired man was no fool...his problem tripped on of his many sensors...that is the only reason he knew. Seeing that there wasn't much to be done from his position the man reached out to the only other Kepi he was sure was in the area. Alan Carter. Good lad and could possibly tilt the advantage in his favor. After all he had the troops down by him.* Zypher - Carter, Do you copy? I need some men to go flush out the little red head, she has company and he is keeping her...obscured...as well as I could use a few sent up the ridge here...I seem to have a guest also. Don't want to completely give myself away, for the moment I am pinned.

*Ten soldiers laid in wait surrounded by the high foliage in the forest. They were armed and ready to deal with any interference that might have come this way. They acted as a roadblock, a measure to stop all reinforcements in case they were to arrive. It was no secret that the stealth assassination had been botched because of an idiot subordinate. That's when they came in. They protected the border and kept the Leader of the Union in this jungle. No one was getting in or out*
*While that was a good idea in theory, boredom started to set in. At least it did in the leader of this pack anyway. The leader stood tall, 6'0 to be exact. His body was covered in kevlar and a bulletproof vest in case things got heated. A FN FAL was strapped to his back and a hunting knife was sheathed near his lower back. He could have been like any other soldier, but his grey hair made him stand out. This was raider known as Neil Shinra, but in the field he just went by Grey*
*With his earpiece active, waiting on the signal, he caught a message sent by the Marksmen. Seems that Noe operatives were quick on the move. That was to be expected with the level of the job they were trying to pull off. Before he could respond and "take" the job for himself, he heard a sound off in the distance. Using his binoculars, he saw that a helicopter was on its way to their little forest party. Pressing his com device, he began to alert the others*
"This is Grey. We have a chopper approaching the forest. It'll get here in about 3 minutes."

Before the helicopter even touch the ground both James and Sami jumped out. They had to land a little over 3 miles away because of the terrian itself. James looked over to Sami giving her a slight nod before she ran off, almost as it he was telling her good luck and be careful. James went a different way so he could get the best vantage point to provide sniper cover for the rest. Were they landed would be the Evca point. It was out of sight from the enemy and they landed way before they were suppose to. He then got on the comm to try and get in touch with Inanna.
James - Cheif. James reporting for duty. I'm about 5 clicks west of your location. Sniper support will be provided in 2 minutes. Sami is on foot toward you with a tracker.
As James spoke her found a nice place to set up his sniper. He was completely coveredin vegitation and would be hard to spot for enemy snipers. From this location he wouldn't even have to use is 'active camo'. Good thing too, his last mission use it up almost completely. He would only use it if the situation turned dire. Now in prone position, he looked through to scope of his silanced 50 calibur sniper rifle for the marksmen that had Inanna pined. Now it was time for a game of sniper cat and mouse. A game James never lost.

As Carter was inspecting the area around him, he received a call from Zypher. He was ready for anything that could be thrown his way, and when Zypher told him about the situation, he grew excited. However, he now had to choose whether to go after the leader, or help Zypher. After a few quick seconds of contemplating, he quickly came to one decision.
"I'll head up the ridge to assist you. I have an idea, and if I know our enemies as well as I think, it should work."
After making his decision, Carter unholstered his sidearm and ejected the clip, he also made sure to take the bullet out of the chamber. He searched his pockets for a different magazine, and he found it. Now, why did he need to change his magazine? Well, simple, he needed non-lethal rounds for his plan to work. So, he shoved a clip of EMP rounds into his pistol. These rounds were capable of turning off electronics and stunning enemies for a few seconds. He then holstered his pistol before turning his attention to the soldiers.
"I want you all to get into position, and I want you to flush that girl out of hiding. That means I want all of your gunners to lead the charge, and once you're in position I want those gunners to fire until there is nothing left of that forest. Now, for you assault soldiers, I want you to wait for the gunners. Once they run out of ammo, you open fire while they're reloading. Understood!?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Good, now when I notify you, I want you to take positions circling the forest. However, I want you to be cautious, there's sure to be soldiers willing to take your head off if they're given the chance. So, I want you to move from cover to cover near the trees, don't let them get a hit on you. Until I give you the signal, stay out of the forest, and stay near the dig area out of range of their soldier."
"Understood!"
After Carter's briefing, he proceeded up towards the ridge. As he traversed through, and eventually got closer, he unholstered his sidearm and searched for the soldiers looking to flush Zypher out. He didn't want to kill him, instead he wanted to incapacitate them. He saw those soldiers as insurance, he knew that if his allies couldn't get a hold of the girl, he could as least take a few of his enemies as hostages.

Once the pair landed from their jump, Sami returned James' nod before running off while pulling out a tracker. It was the ony way to find Inanna before the Kepi, so she followed it to the forest. Once reaching the forest, the young assassin ran up a half fallen tree that had gotten tangled up in other tree's branches where she began traversing the canopy. She knew the Kepi would be on foot so this was the safest way to reach the Noe leader before anything happens to her.
All the while she hopped from branch to branch, Sami was glad that she had climbed all those trees when she was younger. The girl used to climb almost everything. . She did pause at one point to look down at the tracker in her hand before scanning for the best path to take. Once she thought it out, she continued. It wasn't long til the assassin heard voices and saw a few Kepi soldiers on the ground ahead of her.
"Hang on, boss," Sami whispered as she drew a few throwing knives. She may not be able to kill them without getting detected but she should be able to paralize some for while until they would be able to get their leader out of here.
