Vanya had not seen Boris for a while. It was like he had up and vanished since the night he brought her home. Was it that Amenophis and Amira banned him from seeing her or something? Were they even capable of doing something like that? She frowned to herself as she wandered away from her family again. She didn't want to talk to them nor have anything to do with them. She loved her family and adored her sisters but today she wanted to be left alone. She ventured out farther into the forest hoping she wouldn't be bothered for hours. The sun was set high into the sky and it was pretty warm out, not chilly or mild like it had been for the past few weeks. The weather had been strange and it made her thoughts turn back towards Boris and how much she missed him.

Caym moved in to the woods. This time he wasn't looking for the cat to try his luck with again.

He just wanted to be alone.

Away from the shouting, the arguing and his siblings.

Too many voices.

Where was the quiet at?

The silence.

Couldn't there just be peace?

His face was set in stone, a blank slate.

No emotion engraved in it. The only thing that gave others something to go on was the shadow, created from his bangs that made him come across as a rather eery character.

He was just beginning to enjoy the sounds of the forest, the feeling of being completely alone when the screaming started.

It rang in his ears, his mind.

Whose voice was it? Where was it coming from.

Constantly. He couldn't find the source.

"Stop it! STOP IT, STOP IT!" He yelled, throwing one hoof up and then in to the dirt.

He was panting loudly, breath forced through his nostrils in frustration.

He shook his head violently, grit his teeth and then threw himself forward in to a gallop.

As if that would help him escape from them.

What do we do, what do we do?

Where do we go, wherever you go!

How do we plead, guiltyyyy.

Murderer. Kill them, kill them.

Kill them all!

"Just leave me alone..." Cam whispered in the fast track travel.

He couldn't take it any more.

He couldn't fight it.

Vanya had been looking around at the trees and the creatures in the forest when she heard the loudest yell. She took off running in a panic thinking someone could be in danger when she found herself falling into a hole. As she ran, she tried to be careful not to hurt herself but she had jumped over a long and didn't know it was on the other side. "Help me!!!!" She screamed out in a panic as she looked up at the sky from the bottom of the hole. She had landed with a thud. Instead of running to someone else's aid, she had ended up in peril herself. "Shiny I need you!! Shinyy, someone!! Anyonee pleasee!" She called out in a panic as she slowly stood and limped around in a circle in the little hole. She didn't want to stay in the hole for the rest of the night or the rest of her life for that matter.

The colt came to a crashing halt.

Literally as his eyes took in what was running straight for him. The flat of his face hit the face of an old, wise tree stump.

In the act and the throbbing of his new found headache he fell over. Giving a growl of protest as he eyed the tree.

Flicking his tail irritably.

He wished he could scold it, tell it to watch where it was going but it was rooted and he was the one at fault.

"Stupid tree." He spat, shaking his head and shakily getting back to his hooves.

Almost stumbling over them again as the world came back from it's blurred vision to normality again.

He recalled the reason he had come to the halt in the first places.
The cry for help that had birds fleeing the tree tops.

Looking in the direction he believed the source of the voice belonged, he grinned from ear to ear.

This would put a stop to those voices...

The screaming.

He laughed maniacally under his breath as he made his way towards whatever was at the other end calling to him.

As he drew closer, he caught the word 'shiny.'

"Shiny?" He repeated, his mouth now formed back in to it's earlier straight line as he approached the hole.

Peering in to it to see what it held in it's contents.

A lost, lone little filly.

How perfect.

"Hey." He called down to her, twisting his head to the side.

"What are you doing down there..?" He chuckled. "Are you hurt?"

He looked left and right before returning his gaze to the fallen creature.

"Whoever this 'shiny' person is, they aren't here." He gave a light shrug

She found herself whimpering when a strange foal appeared at the top of the hole. What if he was the one who made it somehow? She decided it was best to cry out again. "SHINY!!!" She cried out for him at the top of her lungs. Whoever this foal was, he wasn't who she wanted to save her. For all she knew, he could be a threat and a danger to her. She didn't find it in her great interest to answer if she was injured or not. Even so how was the foal going to help her out of the hole she was in. She couldn't even manage her way out of it, and she had sprained her leg when she fell. It was luck that it wasn't broken in some way. She growled and huffed to herself when no sound of trinkets rattling came to her ears to let her know that he was coming to her rescue. She felt her heart begin to break that her best friend was no where to be found and she would probably never see him again. "You! Who are you?" She glared up at the foal with accusation as if he had done something with her best friend or put her in this hole. Which if you wanted to get technical about it, it probably was the very foal that had led her to the stupid hole.

Cam stared down at her, ears flattening when she started screaming for shiny again.

Who the hell was SHINY!?

Regardless of who it was, he wished she would shut up with all the yelling.
He was there, wasn't he?

In other news, he was going to enjoy killing this one. Slow and painfully when the time came.

He sighed.

"Me?" He asked, flatly. "What does it matter? You don't give a hoot that I came to your rescue."

He rolled his eyes and began to turn, walking out of her line of sight.

"Hope this shiny person turns up, or the crows are going to have one hell of a treat!"

He called back behind him, looking over his shoulder at the hole.

Vanya's heart sank as he turned away from her. Her head spun around the hole trying to search for a way out. Where was Boris?! "WAIT!" She screamed out for the foal. "Please come back!" She begged for him to come back, saviour or threat, she needed out of this hole. "Please oh please help me out of this hole!" She called out to him as loud as she possibly could. Her wounded leg lifted from the gound, no longer able to stand weight put on it.

Cam stopped in his tracks.

Right on que!

The foal couldn't help but smirk at his successful anticipation.

Ears twitching, he paused for a moment to savoir what felt like a melody to his ears.

Her, calling for none other than, his help.

Turning, he made his way back to the edge of the hole at a painfully slow pace.

Just to keep her guessing.

Looking over the edge and down at her again he gave a soft smile.

"Don't worry, I wasn't really going to leave you." He gently poked at the ground with the tip of his right hoof.

"It's going to be ok... Really. You just need to calm down, take a couple of deep breaths." He showed her the motion of deep breathing.

Relaxing to show that it helped. "just like that. Hmmm now let me think."
Didn't her wings work?

You have her where you want her. DO IT DO IT NOW.

Cam grit his teeth from arguing back, instead focusing on conversing with the other.

"Can't you just... Fly out of there?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 22, 2013 5:30 pm

She frowned up at him but took several deep breaths like he instructed. A grimace formed though when he asked about her wings. Shock grew through her body, she had yet to learn how to fly! "I don't know how..I've yet to learn how.."She spoke loud enough for the foal to understand her but she said it with a sadness. "My parents have yet to teach me." She looked up at the foal with panic and hurt showing in her gentle amber eyes.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know."

He made sure to allow ease enter his tone, to show that it was sincere.

Fool them that they allowed there daughter to be in such a position. Without her wings, she didn't have the advantage.

Otherwise, she could of flown to safety, to home and not have to worry her pretty little head over an avoidable situation.

"I'm going to leave you now. Only whilst I find something that will help you climb out of there."

He nodded, shuffling a step to the side before hesitating to move any further.

He was waiting for her to accept that he had to move out of her vision.

"Is that ok? If you get scared, or need me. Just ask, ok?" He flashed her a friendly smile.

"My names Cam by the way... What's yours?"

Sadness began to overwhelm her again and her heart. She had no idea how to use her wings to fly, she didn't truly deserve the nickname Birdie that Shiny gave her. Since he wasn't around, it was okay to cry right? Sadness continue to build inside her. "It's fine..I'm Vanya." She spoke the words with sniffles as she couldn't hold back the tears anymore. Her feet gave way beneath her and she fell into the dirt. As her tears fell from her face, they hit the ground and all she could do was stare at them. She was such a mess and was truly lost about what to do in this situation, she wasn't even sure the foal above really knew. But perhaps he had a better idea than she did, she could have used her wings to get her out but they were useless to her, what good were they to her on her back anyways. She turned her head and glared at them as if wishing they would just suddenly work. Sadness and anger started to mix inside her like a furious beast. She wanted out of the hole, out of this situation and she was tired of being so useless. She wanted her happiness back so much so that it only made her end up crying more.

His smile, his words, were useless. They were completely lost on this girl.

It was a pity, wasting her tears on something so trivial. It wasn't like she wouldn't ever get out.

Sure, she didn't know how to use her wings now but if she wanted to get out badly enough, she would find a way eventually.

His eyebrows narrowed in to the middle of his forehead as he looked down, listening to the raspy voice of the worn filly about to fall over the edge.

If she hadn't already gone and done that.

His ears fell back and instead of saying anything he moved off in to the bushes where he couldn't be seen no longer.

Giving her room to have her moment and find her feet without the audience to watch.

Now. Something to get her out of there.

Shoving his head in to the surrounding shrubbery, he hoped something would call out to him instead of him seeking it out.

Couldn't find what you were looking for, don't look for it and it will appear. That sort of thing...

"Come on, theres got to be something..." He muttered to himself, then he remembered the log Boris was laid on the first night he attempted to strike him down.

That's it!

He ran back to the hole in a flash, breaking through the last bush that separated him from the fallen filly, he almost went head over in to the hole with her by the time he hit the breaks.

The edges around it crumbling and sliding down the walls.

He stepped back, gulping an apple sized knot down his throat.

"I think I've figured a way to get you out of there!" He called down, excitement in his voice.

"Theres a log not too far from here, if I can find a way to shift it, maybe I can push it in to the hole with you so you can hop on and out of there."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:02 am

When he had returned, her tears had dried up not only from her but also on the dirt below her. Her heart had seized into her chest when she thought he was going to topple into the hole with her. "Please be careful!" She called up to him, she didn't want him to get stuck down here to. Would anyone even come looking for him? "Do you have an idea of how to shift it?" She called back up to him, she was starting to get excited. But he was just a little foal like herself, how could he possibly move the log himself?

"Heh..." Did she actually care whether he fell down in there with her or not?

"Don't worry about me... It's you I'm concerned for." He uttered softly.

Shaking his head gently, the dark blue bangs scored his eyes that were trained on hers. Whites still red from the sobs of a troubled mind.

No. He had no idea how to move a log that size.

Not at the moment but he would find a way.

"I'll do it, no matter what it takes." He was deadly serious and his expression reflected that.

His inner turmoil wouldn't allow him to be handed a trump card like that. If he couldn't move the log in the end, he would just find some other way to get her out and if all else failed he would continue until something worked.

Turning he set off in a gallop towards the area where the log resided.

It didn't take him long to get there but when he did, he knew the instant they met face to face what a battle it would be to move it.

Firstly, he moved around to the other side, butting it with his head to see if that would make it budge.

All it succeeded in was adding to the sore he gained earlier.

He groaned at the pain and moved around sukily to it's side.

Lifting, he placed his hooves on the side of it, bringing them back and bashing them down hard again to try and roll it a long.

No dice.

It was obvious with his size and his strength, there wasn't going to be any way of moving that log right now.

There was another option...

An option he didn't like but if it would help his cause in the end he would do it.

If only to rid the screams and silence the voices.

"Looks like it's me or you." He whispered, slinking back towards Vanya and the hole.

When he reached it, he was sad. Looked baffled, confused.

He was. He didn't think he would go to such lengths for somebody else.

He crept over the edge, lowering his hind until the motion lew his tiny tufts of mane and tail behind him down the side of the walls in the hole, springing off to land next to her.

"I couldn't move the log..."
He looked at the floor before looking up through his bangs at her.

"I can trade places with you instead." Lowering himself by the edge, he nudged his head to the side to indicate what she needed to do.

"Climb on. I'm going to get you out of here." Finally, he passed her a smile and bobbed his head to show it was ok. It was all going to be ok.

Like he assured her in the first place.
