Neautral Quote: Arick’s shop is movable, and he sets up shop within one of the cities in Magesc. That is where you have found him today. His shop is just inside one of the main cities on either Serenia or Soudul (you choose). You have found your way to Peddler’s Rock. A traveling shop for everything, including some things not quite legal. A tall and burly Dovaa greets you as you come in and asks if you have a moment to spare. "Hey there little one, may I have a word with you? I'm in a bit of a bind. You see, got a spot of trouble that needs dealing with but I can’t leave my shop unattended. Could you lend me a hand, perhaps?" If you agree, continue to read, otherwise RP your response and leave the adventure. He smiles with relief upon your agreement, "Thanks a bunch, partner. I have a few tasks, mostly need some help restocking, but there is one that I’d like you to do first. Not really all that earth-shattering, just…finding something for me." he says, rubbing the back of his head a bit embarrassed. Kilian glared at the dull, golden colored Drakein that bounded through the masses ahead of him. How he ever agreed to being bonded to that... thing he wasn't sure. It was too similar to the dragons he so despised. Gritting his teeth he stomped his foot on the ground. "Get over here!" he yelled at the Drakein. The instant Amadia heard her master's voice she bounded back to his side. "Stupid animal..." Kilian grumbled mostly to himself. "Lets go. We've got to gather the stuff that Nekane needs." Kilian was making a trip to the market for his cousin. Though why he agreed to do such a thing was beyond him. He should have just made her do it herself. He had important training to do. And Nekane had insisted that he bring Amadia with him. By god he was going to go crazy before the day was over. Deep in thought, Kilian almost didn't hear the man's voice until Amadia ran from his side and over to the lone tent. "Huh?" Kilian looked around in confusion. "Me?" He asked the Dova that had just spoke. When the strange Dova nodded, Kilian shrugged and headed over to the tent. "What do you want?" Kilian asked as he snapped at Amadia to come back to his side. He crossed his arms as he listened to the Dova. He didn't give much detail about what he wanted but for some reason, Kilian had a feeling that he should say yes to this man, even if he didn't really want to do anymore favors for anyone. "I suppose I could help you." He grunted. The Dova was not all too willing to explain what needed to be found. Hesitation from the man irritated Kilian. It was almost enough for him to walk away. He didn't, however. He had promised the Dova he'd help. "Well spit it out, old man." Kilian said in exasperation. Go to Task 1.

Task 1 Quote: "I've lost a letter on my way here this morning. It’s extremely important to me and I’d prefer that no one read it." a small blush and awkward expression passes over his face. "But since I can’t leave the shop, you’ll have to go back along my path and try to find it for me." The path to the shop is a rather winding one with many bushes, trees, and shrubs along it. So many places for a letter to hide. Roll 1d100.
1-10: You find it but it’s been opened already! You return and may say you didn’t find it or you may give it to him. Have fun explaining why it’s open. Go to Opened Letter or Failure (if you decide to say you didn’t find it).11-70: You find the letter and it’s closed. You may open it and read it, or you may return it to him unopened. Or you may not return it if you don’t want too. If you return it unopened go to Success. If you open it go to Opened Letter. 71-100: You can’t find it at all. Go to Opened Letter. How did Kilian manage to get himself in this mess? He really wasn't all too sure about that one himself. "Damn it." He grumbled out loud as he made his way to the main gate of Soudul, Amadia bounding off ahead of him. Why was he bringing her along with him again? Sighing, he shrugged his shoulders and continued on the path that merchant had told him he'd taken. Kilian wondered what was so important about the letter that the man had to find it right away. It made him curious. After about an hour of searching, Kilian was about to give up. "C'mon Amadia. Lets go." He called for the Drakein to follow him. However, when he looked back the stupid creature was taking off in the opposite direction than the city. "Amadia! What ARE you doing?!" Kilian yelled after the beast. Knowing full well he couldn't leave her out here without getting an ear full from his cousin he set off after her. The stupid beast was going to get them killed. Before he knew it, Amadia was coming back into his view. Full speed. Neither of them could stop in time and they collided. "Ugh. You stupid beast." Kilian groaned as he shoved Amadia off of him and sat up. As he rose from the ground, Kilian noticed a white piece of paper hanging from the Drakein's mouth. "What have you got there?" He asked as he reached for the paper. "Ah...the merchant's letter." He frowned. "It's open though. Someone must have opened it." Before he even realized it, his curiousness got the best of him and he was reading the letter. Opened Letter

Opened Letter Quote: The letter is a love letter! With some really bad poetry too… Poor Arick, he may be good at selling stuff but poetry is not his strong suit. You notice that he is writing to an “Apicius”. Could this be the same Legendary Dovaa who makes the strongest Potions? Or is it a different person? When you return to Arick and give him the letter what do you say? Do you try not to show that you read his terrible writing, or tease him about his bad poetry, or do you try to give him hints on how to write better poetry? No matter what you say, Arick is very embarrassed! His face is bright red as he blushes and he buries his face in his hands. He doesn’t blame you for what happens, it’s not your fault the letter was open, right? Eventually he recovers and asks if you will do another task, this time dealing with his shop and nothing personal. Kilian couldn't hold back his laughter. "A love letter!" And some awful poetry. He was glad that writing wasn't Arick's main profession. Sighing, he folded the letter up and stashed it inside his shirt. "I guess we've got to go back, huh Amadia?" They quickly made the journey back into the city. Kilian eventually finds Arick again. "I found the letter..." Kilian said after clearing his throat to get the Dova's attention. "It was already open when we found it..." He said as he gave the man a half smile and reached into his shirt to give him the letter. "I uh..didn't read it." Kilian had already decided he'd save the man some embarassment by not letting him know he read it. However, Kilian was a horrible liar most of the times and was pretty sure the man knew otherwise. Kilian had never seen a grown man blush before! After a while, the Dova seemed to recover and asked Kilian if he could do another favor for him. Sighing, Kilian agreed. Go to task 2 - search

(( I had to delete my last post because I forgot to roll and you can't roll after posting in here. ))Task 2 Quote: This task is more important, his stock of pearly scales is running low and he needs you to go get three for him. He tells you that there are two ways to get them. One is to fight an Oralrik and the second is to search the banks of Serenia’s lakes for the scales. You must RP your traveling and search/fighting. Kilian grunted. More tasks? It seemed as if this Dovaa was taking advantage of him. Huffing, Kilian decided to opt for searching the banks of Serenia's lakes. The last thing Amadia and him needed was another fight so soon after their last defeat. Poor Amadia's side was still bruised. His hand traveled to the Keinling's head, a habit that was becoming common, as they walked through the bright surroundings of Serenia. Kilian had decided to head for the southern lake, Amafel. Tyluafel was too heavily guarded and he didn't want to fool with others if he didn't need to. As they neared the lake, Amadia became impatient and started fidgeting, wanting very much to run ahead of Kilian. When Kilian nodded his head at the Keinling, she took off running and bounded into the lake waters. He shook his head at the beast. Maybe one day he'd understand her better. The bond between them seemed to be getting stronger by the day and he really was growing attached to the wretched beast. Letting Amadia enjoy herself, he set off on searching for the scales. It took a few hours but he finally found three scales. He was worn out and ready to head home. The Dovaa would just have to make due with three of them. Go to success Success Arick grins, so he’d judged you right! You were good enough to do the tasks he needed done. So nice to know that there are dependable people out there. Go to the next Task or Final if you have just finished Task 3. Go to Task 3 - search.

Task 3 Quote: This time he needs Nocturnal Spikes, he’s out and a customer came by asking for some and he said that he would have some by tomorrow. You may fight an Riistäjä for its Spikes or you may search the forest of Souldul for them.  You must RP your traveling and search/fighting. This was getting ridiculous. Kilian now wished he had never agreed to help the man. Another task was set before him. At least this time he didn't have to go off his home land to find the items. Instead he had to go out into the forest and hunt for spikes. The day was getting late and Kilian was ready for this to be over with. Amadi and him set out again. Kilian half expected to run into a dragon on his way there but nothing major happened. In fact, as soon as they stepped foot into the forest, he saw a couple of spikes stuck in a tree. He quickly grabbed them and headed back to the Dovaa. Go to final

Final Quote: If Arick receives all 3 you get the Gaili Orb and an Ayrala Dragon's Tear. He is happy and relieved. "Oh, thank you so very much, young one. You really did me good there! Here, take this orb and tear as thanks for a job well done!"If Arick only receives 2 out of the 3 items, than you receive just a Peisio Orb instead. "Well, you didn’t get everything, but you certainly did me a favor, so here, take this orb as thanks." If he gets only one item than you only get a Kiandri Orb. "Well, at least one task got done. Thanks for your time, little one, take this as thanks." If he gets nothing he sighs and simply waves you away with a very disappointed look upon his face. The look on the Dovaa's face when Kilian handed the last of his supplies over was one of relief. Kilian's face probably mirrored it when Arick mentioned that he needed nothing else of him. Kilian blinked at the payment he received. He had expected this to be treated as a favor and yet the Dovaa was paying him. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. "Thanks!" Kilian beamed as he clutched the orb and tear to his chest and headed home.
