The end of another day was drawing near and Pythius was nowhere near his herd territory. Recently he'd felt a bit of wanderlust and taken to wandering farther and farther away each day, always returning home to his cavern in the mountain that night. Tonight though...he felt like something was going to happen. Something important was happening right now, he could feel it in his gut, but he didn't know what or where. Maybe tonight was the night he'd find out what.
That would possibly mean leaving home for a little while though. When he thought about it he figured it wasn't really saying much, it wasn't like he was close to anybody in particular, even in his heard. He was a bit grumpy and introverted, too honest sometimes and a little cold. It wasn't really a surprise that he didn't have any friends. That was...fine, he guessed.
The bright green dragon looked back at his mountain home, still looking giant despite the distance. The sun was setting but it would still be maybe a half hour before the mountain shielded it's dwindling light, casting the land below in darkness.

The young mare stood proudly at the top of a small hill while looking up at the barely twinkling stars. Her eyes desperately searching for an answer as she gleamed up at her ancestors and fellow stars that had not fallen from the havens. Was there something they were not telling her? A shiver tingled down the back of her spine as she could feel something out of balance—but what? Galadriel blinked away from the darkening sky and pulled her cloak up her shoulders a bit. The warmer months were now here but yet there was a chilly breeze within the air that made Galadriel clearly didn’t take a liking to.
Galadriel looked to the stars again for a brief moment. She wouldn’t be given any answers until nightfall bestowed all the lands. Groaning with a sigh, she lowered her head a bit and looked away from her spiritual ancestors. If she was to wait she wouldn’t do so here on top of a hill being exposed and vulnerable. Slowly, she made her way down to the forests around her. Galadriel had done a lot of traveling in her life time. She had moved from place to place without being seen or heard. In fact there were only a couple knew of her and her presence was almost invisible. But as she made her way into the woodlands the same fear that had made her shiver moments ago was now returning. She quickly glanced up and wished that her questions had answers…

Blinking he turned away from the mountain to continue his...search, he supposed. It was wandering, but with some purpose, a goal attached to it. He simply didn't know where to begin or what direction to move in, where to look. Pythius flexed his wings but decided not to take flight, tucking them back neatly after the little stretch.
Before he knew it all was cast in shadow, the sun hidden by the mountain. Now there was only and the moon to light the way, whichever way it was. There though, off in the distance, he spotted another kind of light. It wasn't fire, and it didn't twinkle like a star that still remained in the heavens. It was almost like the plants that grew within the herd cavern that gave them light. Curious Pythius followed it, unsure of whether or not he should try to be stealthy.
As he neared he made out the form of another star, but not a dragon like himself. He stopped as his hoof falling on a twig that snapped easily, giving away his presence. The bright green dragon was a little hard to miss, even in the light of the night, and he stood as if he didn't mind if it was known that he was there. He didn't have any intention of harming the beautiful mare before him, why should he care if she knew he was there?

Galadriel quickly looked at in the direction that she heard the branch snap underneath someone’s weight. Seeing that it was a stallion she didn’t take her eyes from him. Of course Galadriel didn’t think she was the only one in the whole entire woodlands but she honestly didn’t expect anyone else to be lurking in the shadows, looking at her. He didn’t look as though he meant any harm towards her and in fact looked quite neutral as he just stood there. “Hello there,” Galadriel finally called out after a couple moments. It would be rude just to simply ignore him and she had the time to converse for a little while until nighttime surrounded the lands. “You don’t need to hide in the shadows. I can quite see you,” she said taking note that his coat was brightly green.

Pythius gave a soft grunt in reply, looking down at himself. Yeah, not exactly hard to spot. "Hiding wasn't exactly my intention. I do all my hunting during the day when I'm harder to see, at night...I've taken to wandering." He looked back at the mare, still making no move. What are you doing in these parts? You're wandering close to dragon territory and I can't guarantee that harm or some kind of trouble won't come your way. " A certain black and gold scaled dragon came to mind. He was...overly protective, to put it nicely, and a barbarian to put it not so nicely. Of course, that was just Pythius' opinion on the male.
"And considering how you walk through the woods with that light hanging from your neck I judge you either are foolish to wander this close or careless. You seem...fair." Fair was a better way to put that, right? He was working on trying not to sound as grumpy or blunt.

“I have taken to wandering,” Galadriel smirked with a soft chuckle. “These roads are unknown to me, yes. But why should I fear these parts more than any other wood I have visited. If there are those whom wish to harm me and stalk me throughout the night, than I will gladly take the challenge. But I should not worry quite so yet. It’s not nightfall yet,” she replied. Galadriel, being a nomad had come across many interesting characters some of which weren’t quite so friendly, but she would only worry about said confrontation when she reached that party of her journey. “I would prefer it if you didn’t guarantee my safety within these lands as I so need an adventure,” she grimaced. Galadriel wasn’t the fighter type, but that of course would not mean that she wasn’t able to fight when challenged. And sometimes she desired a good ‘ol fashioned duel. Pausing for a brief moment as she looked down at the golden orb that dangled from its chain around her neck. The light it emitted was golden and bright, could easily be seen by anymore more than a few yards away. She picked the orb up and moved it underneath her cloak, bringing the fabric around her shoulders more to hide the glow. She wasn’t foolish at all or careless for that matter. The orb was more than just a decorative, glowing ornament around her neck. “So why take a stroll at night? You say this is dragon country so I doubt you’re the only dragon here. There must be enemies of your own that lurk in the shadows of the night,” Galadriel said as she looked to the stallion with a warming, neutral expression.

Hn...he guessed she had a point. One shouldn't wander unless they can protect themselves in some form, and the mare looked like she'd been wandering for a long time. Judging by her response to his warning she seemed quite confident in whatever abilities she possessed and had a thirst for adventure Pythius hadn't really seen before.
"Other dragons are around, yes, but they are all part of my herd. Unless we fall to infighting, which there's no reason for, I don't have to worry about being attacked by a herd member, and most are usually asleep at night. The only other worry I might have is a pack of overconfident wolves, but since my kind frequent these parts they're usually not so bold or keen on being eaten themselves." He began. The green dragon wondered if he should tell the mare the real reason he was out this night. As far as conversation goes this was just about the longest he'd ever had with anyone that he could remember, and since she was a wanderer perhaps she would understand what feelings he was having.
He took an apprehensive breath, not exactly being used to sharing his feelings. "I've only recently begun to take nightly strolls, as you put it. I've never left dragon territory, I've had no need to, but recently I've been feeling this...pull. A weird sensation, feeling like something is about to happen or something big is in the works, and I don't know what. It may be something happening beyond this land. I only know I can't ignore the feeling anymore, so I have decided to wander in search of...whatever it is that's causing this feeling."

Galadriel blinked and shook her head. Impossible. But perhaps it was fate that the two should meet. Maybe all those prayers and unanswered questions she repeated her ancestors were finally being answered. But, what exactly was the answer? The ancestors’ wise but sometimes very unclear. Even Galadriel had a hard time understanding what they meant. But she was grateful that his herd weren’t as vicious as she thought. Galadriel though her travels had heard many stories of the dragon folk that roamed the mountains. They had fiery breath that could melt stone into liquid and many riches and valuables that they’d defend. Of course she wasn’t sure if what she’d been told was true or not. So far she was still alive and this stallion didn’t seem all that threatening. She was still cautious and didn’t dare look away from him. “This urge…feeling, when did it begin?” she asked him. “Have you had strange dreams but the same dream every night? Perhaps of you running towards something but can’t quite catch it.” Her ears perked up in curiosity.
