Persephone sat on the edge of a roof, lightly kicking her feet. She was rather close to the hospital, and she would have to go back soon - before her doctors tried to check on her, and ideally without further injury. She felt a need to patrol, to look for dark forces - even if she probably wasn't int he best of shape for it. She was still hurting, but she was also smarting with anger and embarrassment - while normally Persephone was all for talking and reconciliation, tonight she kinda wanted to punch someone's face in.

Across the street, not far from the senshi's perch, a rather smartly dressed street performer stood with an odd deck of cards in hand. Some of those gathered around might note that the cards looked rather oddly like those used for a game called Magic: The Gathering while others would be more notably entranced by the odd aura around him that seemed to be tapping in to their very essence and zapping just the smallest bit of their natural energies. To the normal civilian it was late enough in the evening that the feeling of lethargy coming from that drain could be brushed off as something brought on by the hour. To a senshi? Especially any one that might be watching, it was something to take note of.

Persephone felt the Chaos aura, and she frowned, looking in the direction she felt it from. Seeing him at the center of a crowd made her frown darken, and then she noticed the civilians drooping.
Oh no, that was not okay. She'd heard about the Negaverse's ability to drain civilians of their energy, and now she figured she could see it in action! This boy was going down. And hey, she had a chance to make an awesome, totally magical-girl-worthy dramatic entrance too!
She dropped off the roof and landed in a pretty decent approximation of a dramatic pose, pointing at him.
"Hey!" She shouted. "You, there! Using your skills at performance to distract people and steal their energy - how disgusting!" Aw yeah, speeches. "In the name of Persephone, get a taste of this!"

A few of those around him gave way to startled gasps. Another shrieked and a handful ran away. All the while he stood there, wide-eyed as if he were a youngster who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar right before dinner. That shock faded, however, making it clear that it too was all an act and he was... Laughing? The sound started as a chuckle and grew into a full on, side aching belly laugh. "Get... A taste of this? Oh, that's good. That's really good. Did you pick that one out yourself or did it come with the uniform? I don't... Oh, please, can you say it again? Give me a chance to come up with something witty in return. I can do it, really. Once more, from the top?"

Good, at least some of the civilians were clearing out! Her dramatic entrance had served one purpose at least.
And then he started laughing at her, and she frowned deeply. "Look, you smug little s**t," she put her hands on her hips, "I may have a stupid challenge, but what are those? Magic cards? Seriously?" She asked. "What are you going to do, papercut me to death?"
If it was to be a war of words before the punching was to begin, that sounded lovely. She tossed her hair a little, and then she took a few steps to get in closer to him.

"Sticks and stones, sweetheart, sticks and stones." He clicked his tongue lightly at her as he shuffled his cards in his hands, shifting on the heels of boots that he was rather glad were more comfortable than he had originally expected them to be, stepping back as she stepped in. "What makes you so certain that the cards themselves aren't part of the trick and that you aren't currently in any real danger? You look like a nice girl. What say we forget about this and you just run along home, hm? I would hate to have to hit a nice girl with everything I've got." Lieutenant Richterite had, if anything, become rather good at bluffing due to the overall insignificance of the weapon that the Powers of Darkness had seen fit to bestow upon him. "You're sassy. Has anyone ever told you that before? Sass can get you in a world of trouble in this town..."

Persephone kept moving forward, clearly determined to invade the hell out of his space. "Because if I was really in danger, if you could really fight me - you wouldn't be backing up." She was confident. He didn't know she was injured, and even if it was in a pretty obvious place, she'd just have to keep it protected.
"Aw, you're sweet." She said. In truth, sassy wasn't something she normally heard - especially since she wasn't usually this confident. "Come on, fight me," she said, her hands clenching into fists. "Unless, of course, you're scared of getting your a** kicked by a tiny little girl?" (Tiny was apt enough; at five feet tall she certainly didn't look like any sort of physical threat.)

"I might just have an aversion to hitting girls, senshi or not." He smirked as he took one more step back to keep at least a foot or two between them, brows lofting slightly in vague surprise as he found himself up against the wall that he had been 'performing' in front of. "Just remember... You asked for it." He spoke simply, leaving that as his only warning accompanied by a light shrug of his shoulder as he brought the hand holding his deck of cards up and let all of them fly right at her face like a sudden spray of 52 pick-up, only there seemed to be a few more than just 52 in this particular deck. It was a diversionary tactic he had picked up in his first 'battle' and he would do his best to attempt to duck out of the way of whatever attack she might blast back at him during the confusion if possible.

Persephone rolled her eyes. "Excuses, excuses." She said, and then she yelped a little when he flung cards at her. She had been kind of expecting that, but it was still a little bit of a shock.
Her first reaction was to bat at the air and knock them out of the way, and take a step or two back to get out of the barrage of annoying paper bits. "Disarming yourself like that? Good tactic," she snarked.

"Disarming myself?" The sound of his laughter, now familiar, he was certain, came from behind her as the cards disappeared only to reappear neatly stacked in his hand. "You must be new. I really do hope you're a quick study... Persephone, was it?" He was shuffling them again now, a rather smug smirk on his lips. Richterite was not used to coming across new senshi. The majority of his experience had been with ones who had known what to expect; ones who had been a little bit more dangerous. "I probably shouldn't be telling you this... But something you might want to remember is that an agent of the Negaforce is never disarmed just because they throw their weapon at you." Making it look like a slight of hand he vanished the cards into their inter-dimensional pocket only to summon them back, giving her a little bit of a show. "Shall we try it again?"

Persephone spun around, and she glared. Alright, that was an important bit of knowledge - so even if she got a weapon thrown at her, she was still in danger because apparently they could summon it back. That was important. She tried not to be impressed by his little trick - after all, he was her enemy, and not someone to fluff the ego of. "Yeah, I'm new, what's it to you?" She wasn't exactly going to confirm her name. She'd shouted it well enough in her little challenge anyway.
She gave him a coldly polite smile. "Thanks for the lesson," she said, and then she shifted. "How about we not try that again," she said, "and try this instead?" She shifted to punch at his face.

"Woah!" He tried to dodge the blow, bringing his arm up in an attempt to deflect it as well, but her knuckles still clipped his jaw, sending him stumbling a few steps back. " Senshi, always sticking their noses where they don't belong." He rubbed at his jaw, casting a stern glare in her direction, drawing his hand back to wag his finger at her. "Just remember, Persephone, you brought this on yourself." He left that as the only warning before he lunged at her with every intention of trying to take her down around the middle, figuring if he could just knock her to the ground and wind her he could get away without actually having to hit her.

Persephone couldn't help but grin. Hey, she'd actually been able to fight back - a real fight, not just the terrified flailing she'd attempted against those two Dark Mirror Senshi!
She gave him a very cocky grin. "No, I'd say that protecting people is sticking my nose exactly where it belongs," she said. Brought it on herself or not, she had to feel good - she was keeping people safe and being a proper magical girl and all was right.
Except then he was going at her midsection, and before he even contacted she was yelping and her attempts to get back didn't exactly help, clumsy as they were. She set herself off-balance, and then he hit her, and when she hit the ground, she actually screamed.
"s**t," she swore. This was not good for her ribs. It was back to the flailing, too - she kicked up at him, a slightly desperate move.

She said that like he had actually harmed them and that thought stung just a little bit more than her punch had. A little lethargy was nothing. It wasn’t like he had yanked their starseeds from their chests; not like he’d tried to give them a little bit of his corruption and cracked them into a youma. That thought and frustration went into the charge as he tackled her and continued to blind his thoughts to everything until she screamed. That sound startled him enough that he was already moving off of her before she kicked him, eyes wide as he looked her over as if expecting to see blood. By the colors of her uniform it was hard to tell what had been there before and what he was responsible for. He didn’t have much additional time to ponder it, or worry about what he might be responsible for. Within seconds he was sprawled on his back staring up at the sky with stars dancing across his vision, partially winded. “... Ow.” A raven haired senshi stood between the two sprawled on the ground, back to the other senshi and eyes hard and cold on the Lieutenant. “I think that’s enough, don’t you?” Her voice was low and even, the chill of a dark night giving it a dangerous edge. With the color of her fuku it seemed that the only real sign that she fought on the side of light was the set of pristine white wings attached to the bow on her backside.

Persephone was starting to push herself up when the Lieutenant ended up on the ground next to her, and she jerked her head to see her savior. This really had to stop happening - she had to stop needing to be saved.
Ah well, for now it was nice and it gave her some time to stand up and...stare rather blatantly at her rescuer. No, this did not look like a traditional White Moon senshi, but there were the glorious fluffy white buttwings - so it was an Eternal, and she was pretty dang saved.
"I, um," she said quietly, looking abashed, "thanks." She glanced over at the Nega and put her hands on her hips, trying to look as tough as possible.
