 Chromie yawned and stretched getting up from her little nest made of discarded blankets, in the corner of the cave she called home. Normally she stayed within the confines of her herd, but there were times she needed some quiet time to collect her thoughts and this was when she'd retreat to her cave along the shoreline. She was thankful too that when she did need her alone time that most of the members of her "family" left her alone until she came back of her own initiative.
She picked up the pocket watch off the shelf and let her eyes flick over the other items there. It's been two days since I found that shell, three weeks since that bright ribbon Aalun gave me... she thought, continuing the list as she weaved between the two giant boulders that marked the entrance to her cave. She set the watch on the ground and eyed the face. She then nodded satisfied with whatever it told her and hooked it to the necklace around her neck and trotted off to find breakfast.

 Fluttering his little mini head and butt wings he wandered across the shore of the beach.It was a really nice day,not a storm cloud in the sky.Which was a good thing,it had been raining for quite a while now.He wouldn't come outside in the middle of the rain.He would be too afraid to ruin his little wings. His hair would be a mess as well,Suralida didn't want that to happen to his adorable little self. Suralida didn't think highly of himself. Just some of him had that little spark that sometimes he thought he was rather adorable.The sad part of his appearance he didn't really remember which part of him came from either of his parents. Didn't really remember them too much,it had been years since he last saw them.Maybe he should go and visit one day,that is if they're still located in the same spot.

Chromie wandered towards her favorite spot to graze. She hummed snatches of songs as she walked and almost didn't notice the orange stallion that was wandering in the opposite direction.
She missed a step and then turned and cleared her throat. "Good morning." she said brightly. "Least I hope this morning finds you well. Nothing worse than being told good morning when it hasn't found you well at all." she said with nod flicking her spade tail.
"Are you from around here? Or new around these parts?" she asked. "Or just traveling? If you're lost I can direct you to just about anywhere you're trying to go." she said with a smile.

His ears perked up at the sound of a voice calling out to him."Oh morning." He turned to smile at the female. "I agree with you,It feels very nice to hear something from someone.I hope the same for you." Suralida nodded and looked around,the sun was about to come up and show color for the dark world."Sort of,I am not very familiar with everything,I know some parts.I am mostly traveling to get used to the lands." He thought about her offer and fluttered his head wings." Thank you. Its much appreciated.What about you?Are you new around here?"

Chromie smiled and shook her head. "Oh, no I live not far from here in a little cave, and when I'm not found there I'm with my herd. Their main camp is a little less than a day's walk from here." she said with a nod. "That seems like a very wise idea. I haven't traveled very widely myself, but I remember the way to any place anyone has ever told me, so if I wanted to go there it wouldn't be hard for me to guide someone. I also remember if they mentioned any dangers. A good thing to know. Wouldn't want to blindly wander onto someone's dinner plate." she shuddered at the thought and then perked up again.
"Are you hungry perhaps? I was on my way to get a little breakfast myself, before running into you." she then chuckled and shook her head. "And I remembered I haven't introduced myself. I'm Chromie." she said.

"Oh! I am,I wouldn't mind joining you,it seems like a good time." Fluttering his wings he moved around a little bit to keep himself comfortable. "Pleasure to meet you,I am Suralida."

"Very nice to meet you, Suralida." she said with a nod. She motioned with her head and then started walking towards a break in the forest line.
"I could if I was inclined." she said. "I just haven't found anywhere that sounds really interesting for me. Here and home is good enough. Lots of things happen that keep me occupied so I'm happy." she said as she walked. "That's the nice thing about living with warriors. If I did decide to go somewhere, I could ask for someone to go with me and take care of any trouble."
She led the stallion to a little sheltered area where the ground wasn't too sandy and allowed grass to grow. "Might taste a little salty but it's not too bad." she said taking a bite.-MoomoolatteCha- It's okay. I hope things are going well besides that. :3

He bowed his head to her and gave a slight smile.Suralida followed beside the mare.He listened closely as she spoke. "I see!I don't really have a home to go to,I just keep traveling on until I find somewhere to stay." He said softly as they walked. "That seems nice.A ton of protection."He laughed."That's something I'd like,though..I don't really like violence,it is just a bit silly to fight over some disagreement. Though it doesn't mean I wont agree to it if its something that needs to be fought over." He nodded. Following her closely he looked at the sand and grass."I certainly don't mind,Chromie." Suralida took a small bit of the grass and gave a tiny sour face. "Ohh..." That taste seemed so familiar yet so horrid. It had a good after taste though.

The little mare finished her mouthful then shrugged. "Can be bothersome though. They do get in my way from time to time. It's hard to eaves-drop when you've got someone lurking over you." she said matter of factly. "I've had a little training in self defense, but I don't really care for fighting myself. I just sort of point the herd in the right direction when necessary." she said with a shrug.
She watched him eat and then smirked a little at his face. "There's a clear little stream just off to your left." she said. "Just in case it's a little too tangy for you." she said with a chuckle.
