((This RP occurs immediately after To Tame a Tiger))

This night was all sorts of strange for Buddingtonite, and he couldn't deny it. What had started off as a late shift to check inventory and run weekly night audits had turned into a mad scramble to get himself and his charge to safety. He had completely forgotten about his management duties and his candy, and he certainly forgot about the employees that were waiting and likely shivering their butts off in the cooler in the back.

It didn't matter that one of his best confectionist was in there nor that his flesh-and-blood was with him. They could handle themselves. For now, his main concern, his only concern, was bringing Dallol to safety, and the only safe place he could think of was straight to a Negaverse general.

Fearing that the Eternal Senshi was on their tail, Buddingtonite encouraged Dallol to speed up, knowing that she was injured and that it may have been impossible, but he didn't want her to think he was babying her, or pushing her too hard. He didn't feel like getting into an argument with her, considering she had likely taken the blow for him, and he did his best to hide his guilt underneath a calming, sultry tone, using all of his skills in keeping a good poker face put forward, despite the fear of the senshi or another catching up with them. "Come along, Dallol... we've made good time. I think we may have even lost her!"

That was Buddingtonite being hopeful at best, and while he didn't feel the Senshi of Tigers stalking them, he could never be too sure. He gave the Uranus page a look over, and without thinking, he began to unbutton his heavy, Soldat steel coat. "Here..." He said, stopping their retreat for the moment to offer her his jacket, fearing that she might have been too cold to get too far in her condition.

He was also willing to carry her, but only if she asked. At this rate, carrying her to a nearby general would have been quicker, but he wasn't going to impose.

What happened tonight was Dallol's fault entirely and she knew it. She should have known better than to go courting trouble by seeking out one of the White Moon Senshis, and an Eternal one at that, despite the warning a certain Dark Mirror Senshi had given her on the evening of her awakening. Now look what that blunder of hers had both Buddingtonite and her doing right here and now. That blow from Tsui was hers to take for so many more reasons than the Lieutenant beside her could ever know.

For the moment, she focused solely on the most pressing task at hand, which was to put as much distance between themselves and Tsui, not as much worried for herself than for the Negaverse Lieutenant who had seemingly come out of nowhere to her aid. If she had to forfeit her life as a result of her own mistake, so be it. She would however not allow the redhead beside her to suffer the same fate just because he was witnessed to be associated with herself.

"Where are we headed Buddingtonite? How far more..?" She couldn't sense any other energy signatures save for their own and while she wasn't the kind of girl to whine and kick up a big fuss about an injury usually, she really wasn't sure how much longer she could go in her current condition. Shaking her head, she stopped to give the Lieutenant a wry smile at the kind gesture extended to her, her body listing to the side that was more comfortable for her as she clung onto his arm so as to keep herself upright.

"Keep it." She was slowing them down at the pace that they were going and as much as her pride and modesty forbade her from opting for an alternative arrangement to this, screw that all if she was going to let whoever come after them get their hands on Buddingtonite because of another erroneous decision on her part. "You could... carry me instead since I'm obviously slowing us down. I got to warn you that I'm kind of heavy though..." She offered sheepishly almost as an afterthought before falling silent.

Buddingtonite didn't answer her question immediately, because he wasn't quite sure himself. His mind was racing with many places where Benitoite could have been, and his first instinct was to take her somewhere near a coffee shop, where the two had met a second time and shared a drink. Of course, had he been a Captain, he could have simply grabbed Dallol by the hand and teleported the two of them there, but unfortunately, he had yet to obtain such a skill. And how useful that skill could have been! Now was not the time for such thoughts.

He didn't take any offense when she refused his offering, and he gave a quick nod when she suggested he'd carry her. On a normal day he'd be opposed to carrying someone else; even his own dog, whom he loved more than any other human being in this world, but tonight there was no hesitation. He slipped his coat back on and didn't even bother buttoning up before backpedaling to her.

"Nonsense! I'm sure as a lieutenant I've gained some strength and you certainly don't appear that heavy," Buddingtonite said with a laugh, and with gentleness and modesty that many were surprised the lieutenant had, he lifted Dallol into his arms with a single grunt, and once he balanced himself, he carried on in their retreat. No, she wasn't as heavy as she thought she was, but she was going to wear him out if it came to them having to make a mad dash anytime soon. He allowed for none of this to be seen, keeping up a confident facade forward in hopes of keeping up the illusion that he had everything under control. Of all the times to wear a good poker face, now would have been the ideal moment, though it was hard when one suspected an Eternal senshi was on their heels. "There we go, see? Now, off we go."

It wasn't until he had gained a few more blocks that he caught his bearings, and he explained to her before she had the chance to ask him again. "We're going to a little coffee shop nearby. That's where the general and I last met- being that he's addicted to coffee, I'm absolutely certain that he'll be there. If not, then we can hide there and hope that the sight of civilians will keep out enemy at bay... you know, assuming she doesn't just plow through them as well!"

He certainly hoped not. That'd certainly be the last thing he really wanted at this point. Being caught AND getting the civilians harmed in the process. That'd certainly ruin his reputation in the Negaverse, AND to Dallol. It was a risky gamble, and Buddingtonite was a betting man. Tonight was no different. "Benitoite will be there... I'm sure of it."

"Surely you should know that appearances can be deceiving at times, Lieutenant." Dallol knew that she wasn't as heavy as she was making herself out to be to Buddingtonite though that didn't conversely mean that she was a lightweight either. It was with that in mind that she held her breath and steeled herself when he approached to lift her into his arms, her fingers clinging tightly onto the lapels of his coat as she gritted her teeth to keep herself from making any sound with the discomfort that brought to her badly bruised back and possibly risk distracting him from the delicate task at hand.

"Figured that I should warn you lest you end up with a sore back after this." She finally managed with a soft hmph as if that would be an annoyance to herself if it was to come to pass. Curling up on herself a little, she slid her gaze up to take in his facial expression, her hand still keeping its hold onto his coat though not as tightly as before now that she was a little more comfortable without having to support her own weight.

"Thank you. For getting me out of there." She barely resisted adding the words 'My hero' to that, not wanting to make light his efforts during their earlier encounter with Tsui which might have ended awry had luck not been on their side and things not gone the way they did. "Alright. But if another of the Order gets to us before the General, I want you to leave me and save yourself."

Going to the General probably made a whole lot of sense at this point, taking into consideration the fact that the Lieutenant couldn't fend off an immensely stronger Eternal Senshi on his own, much lest look after her at the same time. So Dallol kept her mouth shut as a form of silent consent to go along with Buddingtonite's plan, and perhaps hope as well for the Negaverse agent's sake that they would reach General Benitoite before running into anyone else.

"Quite an understatement," Buddingtonite said with a soft chuckle, allowing her the time she needed to get situated and not willing to admit that she was just a tad bit heavier than he anticipated. Only once she had gotten comfortable did he start walking again, and he kept his senses on high alert, periodically looking around and avoiding any well lit areas and keeping on the look out for civilians or any member of the opposing team. No, he didn't need anyone interfering at this point... he just wanted to make it to the god-forsaken coffee shop before a senshi or a police officer tried to sneak up on him.

He was so worried about not being seen and carrying Dallol that he barely heard her words, despite her being so close. He cared nothing for a sore back, considering the pain that she was likely in right now, and her gratitude would have normally been soaked in and processed straight into fueling his ego. But tonight was just too different, and all Buddingtonite could make was a lopsided smile as he increased his speed and replied softly to her with a light-hearted, if not slightly breathless, chuckle. "It's no problem at all, Dallol. What kind of friend would I be if I allowed her to hurt you any further?"

He didn't even acknowledge her request to abandon her if worse came to worse. He would have, and likely should have, if they were ambushed again, but tonight was different. Buddingtonite wasn't sure exactly what it was, whether it be some strange, hardcore dedication to his job and feeling so close to bringing her over to the winning side that he was willing to put his life on the line to ensure it, or perhaps a rare moment of protecting someone he considered a friend, despite their side differences. But whatever it was, it compelled him to keep the Uranus page close, away from danger, wherever it may come from.

When they drew near to the coffee shop, Buddingtonite waited for a couple to enter the establishment before pulling Dallol close and leaping from the ground, onto the fabric awning, and from there, onto the rooftop. Only there did he move to set her down, and careful not to agitate her back or touch anything that would earn him a blow from her ladle, he set her down on the rooftop, away from prying eyes and, as far as his senses were concerned, away from Senshi and other knights, though that could quickly change. That's why he was immediately reaching into his coat pocket and removing his shard. "Stay here... I'll give our friend Benitoite a call and he'll be here soon."

For that he was certain. Once he turned away from Dallol and took a few steps away, he gave the device a little shake, admittedly never using it before and feeling quite silly that he didn't think to use it until now. There was no time to laugh at himself, and he hoped that he didn't sound either too breathless or too desperate on the other end. "Lieutenant Buddingtonite to General Benitoite... come in. This is urgent and I need your assistance in a certain matter we earlier discussed..."

He glanced back at Dallol before turning back around, adding in a softer tone. "It's the page I was talking about. She's here, and we need to set up a meeting... now."

I think it might finally be your turn! Yaaay! Thank you for your patience! Also, I hope I'm using that shard right!

It was odd that he was powered up, he hadn't been doing that much since his mother and Bazzite. He'd had no will or want to do so. After what he'd created and the inability to sleep. he didn't feel he could function or be of use right now. But unable to sleep, no mater how much pacing he did, he'd decided to power up and take to the cities roof tops. He didn't move a lot but he let his senses just reach out and expand as he felt for anything in his area. Nothing had yet to be felt by him and for that he was glad, he didn't think he could handle a fight right now. He didn't even want a fight to come his way tonight. It just wasn't within him tonight, nothing really was.

What he wasn't expecting was a call though. The little crystal shard he kept on him shuddered and called for his attention. As he withdrew it he stared down at it for a moment, as if it's mere existence was curious and unknown to him. But then that voice came over it and he froze for a moment. The words the other spoke were processed and for a moment he didn't respond but then he finally managed it.

So he had the knight...that meant the coffee house. Sighing he responded, his tone of voice somewhat empty and hallow. "I'm on my way, expect me in a moment." And he didn't take longer than a moment. As soon as he pocketed the small communication device he was teleporting from one roof top and appearing on another.

Looking the two over he stared for a moment as he took in the scene of the Lieutenant carrying the Page. What had happened here? There was a story behind this and he knew it.

Appearing tired, shorter haired, and just worn out the blond was slow as he approached and started talking. "Lieutenant, fill me in on what's going on that you stressed the urgency to my being here now?" Down to business. His tiredness could wait and he could get back to doing nothing once this was settled. Duty had to come first...he had to occupy himself when and where he could.

Buddingtonite was getting to the point where he was considering gnawing his own gloves off in fret, all the while trying to hide this from Dallol, but thankfully he was spared this embarrassment as no sooner did he make the call, Benitoite was there. In his jumpy state, he almost forgot that Negaverse generals could teleport on will.

He took a moment to straighten his hair and was actually in mid-bow when he realized that his coat was still unbuttoned, and he quickly buttoned it up and made himself presentable before Benitoite once more. "First of all, my apologies for calling you so quickly... as well as for my appearance. You'd not believe just how brutish these White Moon senshi can be at times, hehe... or perhaps you do."

He felt as if he was nervous, and when he was nervous he babbled, and only when he was completely presentable did he draw attention to the Uranus page that was sitting along the wall. "This is Dallol, the page I mentioned in our last encounter. We just barely escaped the grasp of a feisty tiger and I was hoping that you'd be able to help with her conversion, before she caught up with us..."

He knew that she was suppose to be evaluated first, but with the possibility of her being hot on their heels, he didn't want to take that chance. He turned to Dallol, extending a hand to help her up, as he introduced his friend to the general. "Dallol, this is the General Remarque and I were talking about. Don't worry... I didn't say anything bad about you."

It seemed that they had arrived at where they needed to be but where was the General? Surely she should be able to sense his presence unless he had some means of cloaking it to avoid detection that she didn't know about. Were they at the right place even? The confusion was probably apparent in Dallol's gaze for as soon as she had been about to ask Buddingtonite what was going on and what they should do next, the Lieutenant produced a crystal shard from one of his coat pockets then proceeded to inform her of its use. Almost as if he had read her mind.

Acknowledging his instruction with a nod, she settled back against the wall as comfortably as she could make herself and waited. Was this it? Was the General going to assist her with joining the ranks of the Negaverse this very evening if he found her suited to what they stood for?

One moment it wasn't there, the next it was. The sudden appearance of a very powerful presence that very much dwarfed her own and Buddingtonite's in comparison drew Dallol's attention almost immediately as she braced herself for the arrival of General Benitoite whom she already knew both the good Lieutenant and Remarque held with high regard.

...

She blinked a few times at the sight of the obviously younger blond who had joined them on the rooftop. Truth be told, she wasn't sure if she should expect to see a more... impressive looking figure though there was no doubt at all that this had to be the General alright if she went by the signal he was giving off on her inner radar as well as the introduction Buddingtonite gave as he helped her get onto her feet.

"General Benitoite. It is good to finally have the opportunity to put a face to your name after hearing what Lieutenant Buddingtonite and Remarque have to say in your good name." She gave the Lieutenant's hand a small squeeze to show her appreciation for all that he had done for her by far then released it as soon as she was certain that she was able to stay upright on her own, not wanting to appear frail and weak despite her current condition. "I'm Dallol, Page of Uranus." She introduced herself formally with a slight dip of her head to indicate her respect to the General before her. She had faith that Buddingtonite had put as strong a case for her interest in joining the Negaverse as he possibly could to his superior. The rest was probably up to her now.

A glance over the red head and a shaking of his head. "it's fine. You needn't worry about your appearance. I'm sure I don't look all too remarkable this evening." Not if he looked as tired and worn out as he felt. No, if he looked how he felt then he should be the one apologizing and not the Lieutenant. "Calling me when your in need doesn't bother me. Call me whenever your in trouble and so long as I am powered up I will arrive just as quickly." Even if he was worn out he would not turn down a call from a fellow agent. He would not abandon someone or leave them stranded and in need. It simply wasn't how a team functioned nor how he functioned.

Looking to the knight he nodded his head. She did look quite interesting. This was the one he had almost convinced to join them? He went to praise the Lieutenant when something else said caught his attention,. "A feisty tiger...the senshi of tigers?" He questioned while looking them both over. "Your both lucky to be alive, though so is she." he'd almost had her! And somewhere in the back of his mind, and deep in his heart right now, he still wanted to kill her. He still wanted to drive his spear through her and tear her open. But those thoughts made him shudder and so were pushed far away for now. Such thoughts he couldn't handle right now.

Help with the conversion? Was Buddingtonite talking about having him corrupt her? Oh no...not after...no. He couldn't and wouldn't. He couldn't trust his own power and what he'd done to someone already powered up had told him all he needed to know - this wasn't his place. He didn't even know how one would go about changing someone from order to chaos. It couldn't be the same as corrupting someone who hadn't been touched by order nor chaos before. No, it had to be different. The mere thought of it, of what he'd already done, had him paling several shades as a distinct sick look passed over his features for a fleeting moment.

Biting back the words he wanted to say he focused, for the moment, on the Page. "it is a pleasure as well. While I have not heard of you from Remarque - and not because he failed to mention you but because I have not seen him in the past few days. I have heard of you from Buddingtonite. As he said, only good things." The offering of a gloved hand, to show they were equal in his eyes. "General Benitoite, and no need to bow your head to me. If you are going to join our ranks then I'd rather you never bow to me." He'd rather never be bowed to nor called sir. The two things he disliked. He wasn't any better than others. He'd simply either been involved longer or been involved in more things. He didn't think himself more skilled, you never knew what skills your Lieutenants and Captains either had or would have soon. And he could, and did, still make mistakes and he certainly had his flaws Flaws that others might not have, where as they may have flaws which he did not. No, he didn't like to be put higher than others.

"I cannot corrupt her Buddingtonite - I apologize. But I do approve and would like to know what happened tonight to warrant my call?" Holding up a hand he smiled to both. "I do not mind that I was called. But if a senshi is on your tail I'd like to know and keep you both safe. For her corruption I cannot do - you need to bring her to the General King. I fear if I tried the result would be a rather gruesome thing which would no longer be human." The sudden dropping of his voice and the notes of sadness and guilt which entered his voice spoke of some recent bad experience in this area, some knowledge that was gained by suffering of some kind.

"Tell me, please, what has happened to you both tonight?" As he waited he hoped to pick up on this senshi who had come after the two. He might not want a fight but if she turned up and attacked them both he would most certainly defend them. That was his duty, especially if it was one higher in rank then the two with him were.

It had taken a moment for Buddingtonite to get what he felt was a good grasp on his demeanor, and the sight of the General was certainly a boost to his morale. With Benitoite there, he and Dallol were safe. He was certain that Benitoite could have easily dispatched the Tiger senshi, should she have been foolish enough to search for them, and the three of them combined could have gave the enemy one less soldier among their ranks. He stayed by Dallol's side, letting her stand on her own as he feared that coddling her wouldn't do well for her evaluation, but it seemed that Benitoite was quick to deliver his verdict.

And the lieutenant wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He approved, but he couldn't convert her? Had he misunderstood Benitoite's rank and role? Was he misinformed? He tried not to appear to flustered, and he didn't push the topic, only now having noticed just how tired Benitoite appeared. The aura around him felt heavy, but it wasn't his place to ask. Not yet. He had his orders, and he spoke as though he wasn't disappointed in his inability to corrupt her right then and there.

"Correct, sir. A Tiger senshi, by the name of Tsui," Buddingtonite answered for Dallol, looking at her briefly before turning his attention back to the general. He was smiling, but it wasn't sincere. Was something wrong with Benitoite? "Eternal rank by the sight of the buttwings and she looked like she could give as much as she could take. She confronted Dallol in the downtown section of the business district, where Dallol faced her quite admirably."

Again he looked to Dallol, and he waved a hand from the page to Benitoite, as though to invite her to explain her part of the encounter. She had to speak for herself, and anything to stop himself from badgering his fellow officer. He couldn't bring Dallol over to the Negaverse? Why not?.

The General, though young, seemed like a good leader and someone whom Dallol honestly wouldn't mind working with if his words to Buddingtonite rang true and wasn't in any way part of an act to sway her further towards the notion of joining them. After what transpired earlier this evening, she really didn't need any further convincing that the Order Senshis were bad news entirely and that she should steer clear of them from now on as if they were the Black Plague.

"It is a large city plus I'm sure that Remarque, like yourself, has his own matters to tend to." She took hold of Benitoite's proffered hand, letting her gaze meet his briefly as she gave it a firm squeeze for a few seconds the way she had been taught to during the social etiquette classes organized by Crystal Academy. "And I can say the same for you as well General. Only good things from Remarque and Lieutenant Buddingtonite, and I'm starting to see why."

A sincere handshake along with an appropriately paid compliment based on her own observations of the interaction between the General and the Lieutenant by far. The approval was apparent both in the General's gaze and his words as he addressed her. She had this going exactly the way she had hoped it would. But what followed next took her by surprise entirely, her eyes widening slightly though she still managed to somehow keep the polite smile she wore the entire time on her face.

Had Buddingtonite gotten his facts wrong all along with his claims that the General would be able to facilitate her joining the Negaverse? A quick glance over at the redhead confirmed her suspicion that he indeed was ignorant of the fact. Oh well. No matter. As much as she was disappointed that her corruption would have to wait till another time, it wasn't as if he had led her on a wild goose chase on purpose. The Lieutenant had tried his best to achieve what he felt was the most favourable outcome for her and that was all that mattered.

"It was my own fault really. I was the one who went to seek out the Order Senshi because I needed to confirm that something had nothing at all to do with them. I... wasn't expecting things to turn that nasty all of a sudden." The smile on her face became visibly strained the moment she started recounting their confrontation with Tsui earlier in the evening. It was stupid on her part and she could have gotten both Buddingtonite and herself hurt badly. She wasn't at all proud of that even though the Lieutenant was trying to put in a good word for her based on what he understood of the situation back then. "It was all thanks to Buddingtonite really that we managed to get away."

She was still very much upset with herself over all that but she tried putting that behind herself for now so that she could focus on the one issue that remained to be explored in greater detail from the General's earlier words. "The General-King? But I thought..." Something still didn't seem quite right with the General's demeanor when he spoke of the possible consequences were he the one to attempt her corruption instead of letting a General-King handle it. "What do you mean by a gruesome thing that is no longer human?" She was starting to get a very bad feeling that she wouldn't like the answer to this. But still she had to know what she was possibly getting herself into while she yet had a choice.

"Please, no sir's with me. Benitoite works just fine. As for the senshi....If I weren't as I am." Tired and worn out in all ways possible. "I'd like to have a rematch with her. I owe her for a previous fight she somehow got away from alive. Not to mention an attack on one of mine." On...Bazzite. Yes, he owed that senshi but right now he wasn't likely to win against her let alone kill her; which he normally would very much want to do. Perhaps he even still did, as he stood here, simply because he owed her for her attack on Bazzite in the past. Yes, for that reason alone he could force himself to fight her. As much as he also needed to protect these two, should she turn up, he just didn't think himself capable right now.

"She is quite the fighter...and stupid as well. Too brash and doesn't think before jumping into a fight." Had she changed? He doubted it. And if not and she did turn up? He could surely use that against her. It could be what would gain him a win against her in a fight right now. He just hoped it didn't come to that tonight.

His attention then shifted to the blue haired Page. Taking note of her uniform and the symbols adorning it he nodded. "Indeed, no doubt he does have his own matters to attend - as we all do." This was a war and everyone had some part to play in it, tasks to accomplish, and self given tasks to fulfill. And he really felt older than he was, especially right now.

"I thank you for your kind words." His own hand shake was just as firm, he'd learned his manners well. And it seemed he'd upset them both somehow. Had they really wished him to corrupt her right here and now? Was she that sure of this? It was no choice to be taken lightly, he was sure of that. Somehow the idea warmed him, that she was that sure of it and he was being looked to for this assistance. But Bazzite had been looking to him for similar and that had turned out to be a disaster.

His attention pulled away from his own thoughts, thankfully before they got darker and more depressing, he tilted his head. "What was it you sought answers on? Perhaps I could offer what the senshi of tigers could not." He offered with a light smile before flashing Buddingtonite a smile. "That was good of you to save her. One shouldn't risk their life to simply seek answers to questions. A horrid thing to happen really." Shaking his head as he spoke. "A person should always be able to ask questions and not worry over being attacked rather than answered in a proper manner. It seems the tiger senshi lacks manners and could due with a lesson in how to...deal with others." Oh yes, he'd like to deal with her alright. He owed her for Bazzite, for surviving their run in, and for this now as well. If he ever saw her again she would be in for a hell of a fight...though not right now - not tonight.

Drawing away from the two,, turning his back on them, he took a few steps away. Should he answer that? Considering what he'd just said he should. But could he discuss it? One day he would but could he now? Biting his lip he turned his head in order to look over his shoulder at the two. "Buddingtonite...can I trust you? Not as an officer but as a person...as someone to confined in?" He asked. Although sudden the words held weight as if they were important, for what reason though? And the softness to his words. There was something somber and sad about him, something weighing him down. "I need to now this before I answer Dallol's question - which I would very much like to answer." From an emotional stand point he didn't want to. But to share information and to make sure she trusted them and understood things, knew that she could trust the side she sought to join, he wanted to answer it.

"This Tiger Senshi sounds like she needs to be caged, and soon," Buddingtonite said, giving a snide laugh to cover the unease he felt within him. Not that he didn't have any good reason to worry- Benitoite's exhaustion, his words, and this mention of something 'gruesome and no longer human', of course. He tried to keep his eye on the prize, but the more he saw of Benitoite's behavior, the more curious he became, and it was becoming increasingly hard to ignore. But, for the sake of conducting business, he kept his professional front forward, even if that's all it was. A front, waiting to be pulled down. "How disgusting, to see her, an Eternal rank, stomping and yelling about like a wild animal. I only wish I could have done more against her."

Most of that was bravado to keep spirits up, but he had a feeling that there was little he could do for that. No, even Benitoite's compliment seemed to roll off his back without sinking in, just because of how drained the general looked. Buddingtonote may not have shown it much, but he did care for others more than he let on, and perhaps it was his clingy nature that made him want to pry into Benitoite's mind and dig for the answers. But he held it in, until Benitoite was willing to bring it up.

And it seemed that he didn't have to wait long or even pry. No, Benitoite's question took Buddingtonite by surprise, and as much as he felt honored, that General Benitoite, someone he looked up to despite the height difference between the two, he knew that whatever was on his mind had to have been pretty heavy, and this made Buddingtonite a little bitter. Dallol and Benitoite were children compared to him, with so many other things that should have been on their mind instead of this war, and yet, to see someone else so distraught over a matter that he himself had been playing lightly... it made him mad and guilty, but he tried to keep these bitter emotions to himself. Despite what he displayed to others, he cared much for friends, especially ones that he trusted. For Benitoite to ask him this...

There was no hesitation, no jovial tinge to Buddingtonite's voice, and his resolve was present in form. His back straightened, his shoulders stiffened, and his crimson eyes held no humor, no mirth, to allow for Benitoite, and Dallol, to know that he was trustworthy, that he was a friend. "Yes. I may not hold my duties as seriously as I should, but you have my word. You can trust me." He looked to Dallol, his expression softening for only a moment, before nodding. "You both can trust me."

He was eager for answers. He steeled himself, for what Benitoite would say. Hiding his anticipation was hard... but for Benitoite and Dallol, he'd do it. He was ready, he told himself.

Pulling her hand back, Dallol called for her weapon, smiling wryly to herself at the mysterious vibes she was still getting from it even though everything else about it from its weight to the coolness of the metal it was made of still identified it as hers. She had no doubt that General Benitoite would give her some insight into this phenomenon if he could, hence the question that followed. "My ladle feels out of sorts as of late and I was wondering if the Order Senshis have anything to do with it. Would you happen to have any idea as to what might have caused it General?"

The Page frowned at the exchange of words between both Negaverse agents on the Eternal Tiger Senshi. She felt kind of bad really that everyone was jumping to the conclusion that Tsui had attacked her over a mere question like that when that wasn't the case at all. "It's not her fault really. I thought I could pull it off. Ask a question under the pretense of being all friendly with her and then fall back. But my nerves got the better of me..." It was all a huge misunderstanding brought about by her own panicking and Tsui's brashness. A volatile situation that got out of hand very quickly before either of them could rein it in.

Why then did she still choose to defend the Order Senshi while at the same time, risk putting herself down before the General whom she sought to impress from the very beginning of this encounter? Dallol couldn't quite put a finger to it herself really. Perhaps it was because she trusted him though probably not as much as she did in Buddingtonite whom she now looked to and nodded with great trepidation at what they were about to be entrusted with next. If Benitoite trusted her enough to give her a truthful answer to her question without sugar coating it in any way, he would in turn have her trust as well.

"Indeed...though I'd prefer to put her down." He stated rather casually. He really didn't like her. She'd beaten on his Bazzite and now this. Not to mention how stupid she'd been when attacking him, a General, that first time. She was lucky she had survived that fight. He very much wanted to see to it that their next encounter she didn't come away from alive. "She is like the animal she represents. Quite brash and unwilling, or unable, to think before diving into things. One day she'll learn...lets hope someone puts her down first." She could become a danger then, more than she already was. Someone like her, fierce and loyal, strong and a fighter, being tempered could become an enemy they didn't want. And he'd almost had her, almost convinced her to change sides. He was sure he'd been very close to it with her...but then the ambush and she'd seen what she hadn't been ready to.

He knew he was putting a lot of trust into the red haired man, more than perhaps he should at this stage in the game. He didn't know Budingtonite well but he felt he could trust him. He didn't know why that was but the feeling was there. It wasn't as strong as it was with Remarque or Caleb. But the feeling was there. So when the other assured him of his trust the blond nodded and smiled softly.

Tilting his head at the...weapon the Page had he shook his head. "I cannot answer that although I wish I did have an answer to provide. To have a weapon, something which you rely on feel off, or even odd, is not a feeling I'd wish for myself." Not when your life could depend on that weapon. It should feel familiar and comforting, even safe in some odd way. This bit of information was stored away though. It was something worth knowing and remembering, he'd think more on it later. There was no way he could find out anything on the matter, it wasn't like he could go and question some knight about this.

"And you are new...nerves are normal - I assure you. She should know this and as an eternal be able to guide and help someone who is nervous and new, someone with questions. As a General that is part of my duties. I answer what I can and train when and where I can. I understand when a person is nervous or uneasy about something and I coddle them if needed." Like the dark mirror senshi Aurora. He would coddle her as much as she needed it, though he hadn't seen her in a long time. Perhaps he should go searching for Esme in school and speak with her?

"It seems I've procrastinated long enough on answering why I cannot bring you to our side - as much as I would like to." It seemed there was nothing else to say but this. Biting his bottom lip as he pondered his words he looked both agent and page over before he found his words and started in on the topic.

"As a General I can bring a civilian over to our side, as far as I know they will always become a Negaverse agent and not a corrupted senshi." Could he accidentally try and corrupt a person who should/could be a senshi? How does one avoid that happening and if it did, and it wasn't something he could do, what would happen? Those thoughts came up along with images of twisted youma in skirts and writing in pain on the ground as they were changed in a most horrifying, and painful from the sounds of it, manner. "You would think that I should thus be able to promote someone? That it would take less to promote a an agent that it would to give that first dose of chaos and corrupt someone." Which is something he'd even figured. It made sense, right? Would tainting for the first time be harder? Take more focus and darkness?Apparently that wasn't the case though.

"It is quite the opposite however. I went to promote a Captain of mine...he begged and pleaded, demanded, I promote him." Choking on his words as he remembered the word, the accusations which ad torn at him, the General seemed to huddle into himself as he stood on the roof top speaking. "I was holding his starseed and it all seemed to be going so well - as I'd expect it would. It was like corrupting someone for the first time." Another quiver in his voice as he seemed to shake a bit. "But then I felt it starting to give...like it was cracking. I tried to pull my hand free and I couldn't. It was as though his body had gone solid around by hand and wouldn't release it. I - I couldn't even release his starseed." It seemed that he was caught up in his own words, in the retelling, as he seemed to be flashing back to it or remembering it all as it had happened - and he was.

"It shattered in my hand." His voice dropped, choked, and shook. "I could get my hand free and I wanked it away hoping that somehow I'd been wrong or that it would fix itself - anything but what I knew had happened." And now he turned his eyes onto Buddingtonite. "A youma is what was once a person but who's had their starseed shattered from too much energy. I didn't use more energy that I would have when corrupting someone. Somehow it had shattered his starseed." And the Captain had become a youma.

"I watched him writhe on the ground in pain before vines covered him as he changed. Wh-when they receded I was left with a youma..." Wet slate eyes, the color of slate when rained upon, met the two in front of him and held them both within their gaze. "I - I - I don't want to risk it again! I don't want to hurt someone else and make them into a monster." Even if it had clearly been an accident. He'd still done it. And he couldn't risk it again. "I don't know if I could corrupt her and I won't take the risk again. I can't..."
