Jun had decide that he was going to be a little bit more cautious today while he was out playing. His mother suspected something had happened the last time he was out given that he'd come home scuffed up, clothing torn, carrying the orb that he'd gotten from the fallen Ysali. She suspected something but she didn't come right out and say it, still because of the looks that hse had been given him he'd decided that sticking around the house for a while might be a good idea. After a few days in, something he found to be quite boring save for getting to peek in on a cute little baby that had been brought by for his mother to look over to make sure that she was healthy. He didn't get close, knowing that he wasn't supposed to be seen by too many of the people from the village, but it had been nice to get a peek at the little one. It had been the highlight of the days stuck in the house, though he'd admit that he had fun inspecting the two glittering orbs that he'd obtained to this point. They were rather beautiful if you asked him, though he felt a touch bad knowing where they came from. Dragons were quite dangerous but he'd of rather out run that Ysali from the other day instead of accidentally being a part of it's demise... but what happened when he couldn't out run one of them? When he was forced to stand his ground and fight?
It was something that he felt he was going to have to do in the future, be it with the dragons or various other dangerous things, but he didn't want to think about that at the moment. Instead he just wanted to think about calm, more peaceful and enjoyable things, like how nice a day it was. Not enough people got to just enjoy the day he thought to himself as he walked along, moving carefully around the trees so as not to step on any of the little plants growing around the bases of them. It was when he was moving around a particularly big tree that he found himself stumbling to keep himself from stepping on a thick, bright green root.
His wings popped out, flapping rapidly, as he tried to keep himself from falling flat on his face, "Ack... that's a weird root..." He muttered, turning to stare at it a moment, squatting down, trying to figure out why it was such an odd color. Maybe moss? Of course as he got closer he realized that it wasn't that it had moss growing on it, it was just a bright color on its own, "Weird." He murmured, lifting a hand to reach out toward it when suddenly the root did the last thing that a root should it, it moved. Jun froze in place, eyes going quite wide, before he followed the root from where it was laying before him up, up, up the tree and starred at the big, sleeping Ysali that he had just been about to poke at. The boy's hands flew to his face to hold back a shriek of surprise, a sound that ended up a smothered sound, and the sleeping Ysali shifted in the tree in response but didn't seem to rouse.
Swallowing hard Junjie pushed himself up to his feet slowly, backing up a few steps, so that he could stare up at the big, sleeping beast. That had been rather close, hadn't it? He really should attempt to learn that poking at things wasn't the best idea in the world he thought to himself. One of these days he was going to poke at the wrong thing and end up in a lot of trouble. To keep that from happening he vowed to be more careful... though how long before he broke that vow was up for debate giving his insatiable curiosity when it came to anything and everything in the world around him. After checking on the Ysali one more to make sure that the green dragon was sleeping Junjie turned on his heel and ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction of the sleeping Ysali. Maybe he would go to the lake today, it seemed that there were a lot of Ysali creeping around in the woods and he didn't think that he was quite feeling up to dealing with another one of them right away he thought to himself as he made his way toward the destination. As far as he knew there weren't any dragons at the lake, not that he'd seen to this point at least, and he figured that made it a far better destination to play at.
