It was a suffocatingly warm and humid start to another horrible morning as Rin rolled over to sit in the dirt, tucking her knees under her chin and hugging her legs close to her chest with her remaining arm. She was surrounded by the greenery of the jungle. She should have been happy; she wasn't. Her icy blue eyes fixated on a small flower that grew inches away from her despite being shielded by massive leaves like herself.

Rep was absolutely oblivious to Rin's location but not her absence, he'd tried to drop by to visit her in her dorm on several occasions to no avail and had started to worry about her welfare. No matter where he looked though, he hadn't found her, and most people hadn't actually seen her around. He'd started to worry, but on the island there wasn't much you could do to find someone who didn't want to be found. He hoped fervently it was nothing to do with him.
That day, he wasn't actually looking for her, the jungle just happened to be one of his ideal places to practice his survival skills, his paranoia always through the roof as he stalked through the trees, chopping at the foliage with a knife he'd "borrowed" from the kitchen.
He wasn't expecting to trip over a person, so when he did avert treading right onto Rin by tumbling to the dirt, he was a little bit less than delighted.
"The ******** ********?!" he snarled, sitting up in a hurry before his eyes went wide. "Rin?!"

The living rock of a human managed to come out of the unexpected collision unharmed and unmoved. She didn't even bother to turn her head to look even at the familiar voice and name. Just returning her steady gaze upon the flower. Why does it even try to grow under such harsh conditions? No one would ever get to see its beauty out here. No one to appreciate it for what it was. No one except maybe her... but she'd simply leave eventually and forget it as quickly as she had found it. Rin furrowed her brows at the pitiable thing with concentration.

Rep gave Rin a look somewhere between incredulousness and worry. He wasn't sure why she was staring fixedly at a flower, but he felt like he'd seen a lot worse. "Rin." he barked. "Are you awright?"
She didn't look very allright.

Rin wasn't very alright and her lack of any sort of a response proved it. There was a slight shift of movement as she simply readjusted herself. Then it was back to staring. At least it was a sign she hadn't frozen like that.

Rep waved a hand in Rin's direction before looking a bit put out. "So you've replaced my friendship with a flower. Is it a nice flower?"

She frowned and shot Rep a fleeting but rather hurt look before turning it back to the flower again. Rep was the hardest person to ignore.

Rep sidled over to kneel beside her and stare at the flower. "Does it have a name? I think it looks like a wee Jimmy. Wee Jimmy the wee flower. Wee b*****d likes flowers. I used to think they were pretty gay, until they got all under our skin and s**t, mind that? That was pure bollocks. If wee Jimmy gets any ******** ideas like that he's going to be wee flat Jimmy."

Apparently the flower's name was Wee Jimmy now. Rin sighed audibly before looking to Rep with an irritable scowl. "What do you want?" Her voice was dry and hoarse as if she's not had a sip of any fluids in days.

"What do I want? Well I was just going for a walk in the jungle. No snnn...snnn... them. And not falling over people were high on the list. You look like s**t and sound like s**t." He said this as if it was simple fact. "Here." he unhooked the earring from his ear and handed it over. "Don't take the lid off, just push the wee clip down and take a sip, its good!"
He tilted his head like a curious dog. "Why are you out here?"

Rin gave Rep an irritable stare down. She was well aware she looked and sounded like s**t, thank you Rep. She still took the earring and after giving it a confused glancing over went to take a drink by following his instructions or what she thought was; possibly spilling some all down the front of her clothes but just not giving a damn as she got a drink before handing it back.
"Does it matter?"

Rep put the earring back and gave Rin an entirely unimpressed look. "Aye it matters. Last I checked you weren't the ******** female tarzan. There has to be a reason."
