The Tsukikage's Office is located away from the hustle and bustle of the Village Center, resting on the outer curve of the crescent island. It is located within the former leader's personal palace. The palace itself resembles a heavily fortified castle with extra trimmings. There are many openings on the ceiling as well as numerous balconies to view the island and sky. The office of the Tsukikage is located in the middle of the palace.
It felt like she had not seen this castle in a very long time, though Jade knew it not to be true. A mere week away and Jade had sorely missed being the Tsukikage. Well, mostly. There was one aspect she would never enjoy. Paperwork. Time and time again Jade would shove every bit of paper over to Aeden as she drank her sake and enjoyed a good book. These matters were yet too dull and redundant for her to pay attention. Years ago when Jade was the Sunakage many of their goods had to be ordered from afar, as the harsh lands did not bear food very well. She had absentmindedly checked yes to order ten dozen barrels of fish for her office. Jade had the tendency to puke whenever seafood was involved. That month had been terrible.
Jade blinked hard and brought herself back to reality as she pushed open the main door, strolling up to the secretaries desk and accepting a large folder of documents. She always had the decency to leaf through them before dumping the stacks on Aeden's desk. As she walked Jade mulled over the latest Kage summit. It was not for anything other than the Kages to get a feel for each other, and just thinking about it made Jade's skin crawl. An ache in her head made her reach up and lightly rub her temples as Jade rounded the corner to the stairs. She took them slowly, rather than her usual method of flashing to the top. It was clear there was a lot on her mind.
When Jade entered her office she placed the folder onto her desk, hopped over it and landed in her chair. She reached into the top drawer and removed a glorious bottle of sake. The Mist Village used to brew their very own sake, a secret formula kept by the Lothar Family. Jade always had a healthy relationship with that particular family and was one of their number one customers. When Mist was destroyed and the Lothar secrets along with it Jade shed a tear, for the finest brewers of sake and liquors were gone. She only had five bottles left of the stuff, and saved them for special occasions.
Jade pulled out two shot cups and filled them both up to the top. She grabbed one in either hand and downed the first. The second followed suit, and then Jade sighed. She stored the sake away and then began to read over the documents. "The Yukikage and the Sorakage are definitely two people we will need to look out for. Kaiser Shiro-Kame controls the Snow, a man who seems to be hiding something. He came off as vindictive..." Jade said as she placed a stack of papers to her left, better known as the 'For Aeden because I am too lazy to do it myself" pile. She grew silent, deep in thought about the meeting.

Aeden walked silently behind Jade, hands in his pockets. Two small scrolls hugged either thigh, both weapon scrolls, and a bow was slung from shoulder to hip. The bow's quiver was a back-waist quiver; it did not hold many arrows, but they were easy to get to. "The name is young, but if Kaiser succeeded the previous Yukikage how he wanted to be succeeded, he's a fighter."
Aeden unsung his bow and unbuckled his quiver, placing both to rest against his desk... which was now piled with papers. Surprise surprise. Not one to procrastinate, he began immediately sifting through the paperwork. "It's not if he's hiding something, but what. It's not uncommon here. I will say this though: Highlanders become strong lasting through harsh winters Snow Country knows year-round. He and his people will be a powerful ally or enemy. " A hint of respect from Aeden. He had lived in Yukigakure for quite a time, and he was native of the Highlands. He knew the terror of blizzards reducing sight to zero and one wrong step leading to a chasm with the only cover being a centimeter of frozen ice. He knew what it was like to go without eating for days and being barely warm enough to not die by hypothermia. So yes, he respected the Yukikage for lasting as long as he has. This would not change the fact that Aeden's fangs would pierce Kaiser's throat if it was willed.
Continuing on the work that had been dumped on him, he eyed Jade's choice of drink. "If you can't hold your sake, I'm not carrying you to your bed this time."

Jade listened to Aeden's words carefully. She could see that Aeden respected him, and Jade could not deny that she herself did the same. Uniting people who hated each other for years is no easy fight. Traversing the lands and creating a new home is not easy. Jade knew full well what that meant. He was a leader. Whether he was followed out of fear or love was a different question, one that would take time to answer. Aeden was certainly right in one aspect; Kaiser could either be a powerful ally or a powerful enemy. Jade drummed her fingers once against her desk and smirked at Aeden. "What do you think these are for?" Jade said, arching her back to showcase her already prominent assets. It was a joke of course, one that plenty of people had already made. In truth, the last time Jade got terribly drunk a Kage had died and she found herself with a village to take care of. Who knew what would happen next time?
Jade's smirk faded from her face as she picked up another paper, reading over the reports of missions from her younger ninja. It was a good thing they were active. Missions generated money not only for the ninja, but also for the village. More missions more money to care for the village. As Jade signed off on the document she began to speak, slowly and calmly. "I have told you of my past once before Aeden. It seems it comes back to haunt me." Her golden eyes flashed towards Aeden's briefly before returning to her work. "I murdered Genzai in cold blood for what he had done to me." She started, choosing her words carefully. Jade was never one to rush through her choices, despite her talent for speed. "Genzai's brother sought me out after that, and challenged me to a duel to the death in the name of his brother. The fight was grueling, but I swear to you I believed I killed him. His chest no longer rose and fell, the life had slipped from his eyes. I watched him die. Jade said with a growing fervor. She allowed herself to breathe steadily for a moment before continuing. "Yet he stood before me at the Summit." Jade finished, her voice fading into silence.

Aeden did not even look at Jade to begin with, speaking calmly. "Death isn't an easy thing to predict, even with what we see. When we're at the brink of death, humans have a tendancy to tell Hel to skru av." Hel being the Reaper, and skru av a rater... impolite way to ask someone to go away. "You and I know that fact better than most." It was only now that he stopped writing and looked over at Jade. "The body has many ways to recover from wounds that should kill them. Some put the body in a comatose state that allows cells to regenerate at a quicker pace. Some allow chakra to resupply itself in the form of healed tissue. Unless I could analyze the man himself, I can only made educated guesses, but he doesn't seem to be a phantom." Then his hand touched his chin. "If it was a worthy fight, though... either he will be put down again, or he will see us as worthy allies." He shrugged and went back to his work, this time requests for building rennovations. "Either way, if he's a danger, he'll end up same as before."
He then stood up and walked behind Jade, then began to massage her shoulders and neck. "Stress isn't good for the body. You'll get wrinkles."

Jade took comfort in Aeden's words, especially his hands. She had kept up the strongest facade she could when she met his eyes, trying her damnest not to betray her emotions. Her heart had clenched as she thought of the past while shaking his hand as if nothing had happened. Jade knew he was no specter of sorts, she could feel it. What worried her was what he had become. The Uchiha Clan had a very long and very bloody history. There were many secrets, few that outsiders knew. Jade had even kept them from Aeden, for there were things better kept in the dark. "I fear what he has become. Is it ascension? Or perhaps the opposite..." Jade said, letting these matters fall away from her mind. Aeden was right, she would get wrinkles. Jade leaned her head back and lightly kissed Aeden on the lips, settling back into her own peace.

Aeden's hands stopped momentarily. "We saw them, those that were just fueled off rage and vengeance." He then continued to massage. "The stories of cannibals from the Highlands. They're true for those few. Normally, if the rage is strong enough, he or she will literally destroy him or herself. Time will take its course." He tapped Jade's forehead with his index after a moment. "Just focus on your people and leave the boogymen to me. Aye?" Jade had herself, her shinobi followers, Aeden, and Nymeria's pack. Even if this brother did decide to strike back at Jade, his life would be forfeit.
He nestled his head against her's lightly, an oddly wolfish thing to do. Then he went back to massaging. "So what was said at the Summit?"

Jade pondered his words in silence for a moment, enjoying the massage. When Aeden nuzzled against her Jade reached up and ran her fingers through his hair. She shrugged and sighed before speaking. "A surprisingly whole lot of absolutely nothing. We introduced ourselves, spoke of our wishes of peace and bid each other farewell. I have extended an invitation into our village to both of them, to keep up appearances. Jade said, not saying how little she wanted Genzai's brother on any of her islands. He had not seemed aggressive in the slightest, but ninja were trained to hide their emotions. Jade relaxed her body once more as Aeden continued his massage. Jade smiled briefly and raised an eyebrow, now curious. "Do you think either of them will come? I wonder if they will extend the same invitations. Personally I have always wanted to see the legendary skyrails of the floating village. I am not too keen on freezing temperatures, but I bet you would enjoy it." Jade said, pondering sending Aeden as an envoy. Nymeria and Aeden came from such weathers, it would almost be like a return home. Jade on the other hand was made for the warmer temperatures.

He then leaned forward to look at what was on Jade's desk. "The Yukikage might, if nothing else to see his competition. The Sorakage... I don't know enough about his people to know, so I would say yes to that as well." He then thought about Nymeria's new pup, which had yet to be named. "Enjoy is a bit much, but I feel I would be able to see more alone. No offense." He would have had no problem to have Jade tag along, but with just Nymeria and her pup with him, or better yet by himself, he could find where past and present touched as far as structure or foundation. Possibly find holes in defenses to be exploited later. "Besides, I wouldn't feel comfortable with you snuggling with four guys and women for 'warmth'."

Jade nodded her head at Aeden's words with a smile. Aeden was most certainly a wolf. She leaned her head back once more, this time to examine Aeden's features. He was a very handsome man, rugged with a feral look. His hair was stark white, and thanks to him so was Jade's. His eyes were deep pools of silver, balancing her own golden ones. They were an odd mix together, yet they fit perfectly. For years Jade had always been likened to a cat; she even had feline-like features. Her eyes made her seem far more exotic than she actually was, as well as her natural grace. Aeden on the other hand came off as canine. He had a wolfish grin, and his sharp teeth have more than once scared people away from him. Jade reached a hand up and lightly placed it on his cheek as Aeden continued speaking.
She had heard tales of the Yukikage, most of which she could not put any merit in. "I would actually prefer if you went alone, though having Nymeria with you would make me feel better." Jade said absentmindedly, stroking her fingers down his cheek towards his chin. It was certainly not because she believed Aeden incapable; Jade had seen him literally tear enemies to shreds. She loved him, losing him would mean the end of herself. Having Nymeria with him would merely ensure his survival. When Aede cracked a joke about her very active sex drive Jade smirked, narrowing her eyes as she turned herself to sit on her desk. She pushed her chair out from between them and pulled Aeden closer, wrapping her long legs around his waist. Jade grabbed the lapels of his coat and pulled him closer, biting her lip softly before speaking. "Come now Aeden, you would not perhaps be growing jealous at the mere thought of me with others, are you?' She said playfully, whispering the last bit in his ear. Jade laughed and pushed him away, rising to her feet and dropping the rest of her papers on his desk. "I hear they call him the frozen tree." Jade said, referring to the Yukikage. Everyone of her status was known by an alternate name. She had earned the name of 'Goddess of Flash'' because of her prowess with flash step. Aeden earned the name the White Wolf for well, just about everything about him. But the Frozen Tree was an odd alias to go by. "Perhaps he is a cold lover, or maybe he breaks easily..." Jade said, no longer having a serious conversation.

Aeden softly grinned. "I have no say over what or who you do, but men are easily deflated when they leave a woman bored. Not everyone can keep up with you like I can." A hint of over-confidence? More like him knowing he could sate her needs.... as she has said on multiple occasions. And he would know if she was faking. Aeden crossed his arms and leading against the wall once Jade broke off from him. "Nymeria will probably want to have her pup experience our native environment. She's gonna come whether I wanted her to or not. As far as the Frozen Tree.... it could have multiple meanings. Maybe... compensation?"
He then looked up and had a look of something dawning on him. "Why two?" He looked back at Jade. "Three villages, three gennin to a squad, a pack of three for Inuzuka, three to a normal family; mother, father, and child. Everything about this region of the world comes in threes.... so why is the standard two words for a title? White Wolf, Flash Queen, Frozen Tree." He then shook his head, forcing the thought from his head. He sometimes could not keep the thoughts in his head from exiting his head. It was a byproduct of a highly active mind. "That aside, you know that lip-biting thing isn't fair. The touch I can handle, the looks and images are cheating."

Jade giggled softly at the notion of men deflating. It was true in more ways than one. She had her fair share of suitors attempt to woo her, and Jade brutally declined almost every single one. Ladies on the other hand had a much easier time with her. But Aeden's words did ring true, he was indeed able to keep up with her. Jade angled her head to the side at the second mention of Nymeria's pup. It was a wonder she had let any other creature mount her at all. Nymeria was a very proud wolf, and no mere mutt would suffice for her. "I should like to see this pup, as well as the 'alpha' wolf." Jade said, knowing full well Nymeria ruled these parts.
Aeden's quip about the Frozen Tree brought a wry smile to Jade's face. His complaining of unfairness made her laugh softly. "Since when do I have to play fair? As far as I am concerned, I am a woman with the right to be as inconsistent as I please. You men have your firm arms," Jade said, walking to Aeden and feeling his muscles. "Strong backs and able legs. Us 'frail' women have naught but our wiles. In truth, this is perfectly fair." Jade said, walking around him and letting her fingers trail across his back. She laughed once more and danced away from him, resting on the balcony overlooking the valley. From here she could see the entire village, and a vast expanse of ocean. It was a lovely sight, especially now when the moon was high in the sky.

Aeden grunted. "There are certain things men can't control." He looked at the sight Jade was taking in, then grinned. "Nymeria's Den is always open to you, and I'm sure she'll let you see her pup." Sotera reached the Tsukikage's Office, her goldenrod-esque hair flowing in the gentle breeze as she landed at the very entrance, stood at the door, Aedan and Jade would know of Sotera's presence for she was a young assassin, still learning the ways even though she was taught by many. Her family was practically made of assassins and she was runt of the litter. The Genin knocked on the door first, not to c**k block but to simply ask for a mission of normal difficulty, sitting within the village was boring, stale, and rather tasteless. She needed adventure, where she could grab her friends and go to very distant lands. She needed some excitement.
Sotera was very shy around the Tsukikage, always getting flustered and her tongue usually tied when she was ever near her. She hated it. The feeling she got when she was ever near her kage, it hurt. Like her heart would jump out of her chest and breakdance. Sotera was usually the cold type when it came to everything else, but something about her kage made her heart skip a beat and her mood change just a tad. She breathed in and out to gain composure and awaited for someone to allow her in with clearance, she didn't want to come in at a bad time.
A moment to go into Sotera's attire, the young Genin was wearing a vest with midriff, a skirt with shorts underneath, along with gloves, an armband, the usual ninja shoes, kunai holster, shuriken pouch, bomb bag, and over all of this, the Genin was also wearing a dark green cloak with the hood down to reveal her face. She was an assassin, this was true, but she wouldn't remain COMPLETELY hidden within her own village, she felt more open within her own lands instead of within stranger territory where the skies were the limit or the ice and snow were colder than usual.
So yeah, back to her reason for coming, she wanted a mission, maybe even chat with the Kage and her top Jounin, it all depended upon what was said from this point onward.

”Mmmm.” Jade said absentmindedly, enjoying being there with Aeden. There was so much work to be done, but she could ignore it for a few more moments. *Let the paperwork stack…Aeden will do it…* Jade thought to herself, smirking at the prospect. He had never once complained about it, something Jade appreciated. It was not that Jade was incompetent, but she felt there were much more important things to take care of then keeping track of how many barrels of fish they had or issuing out the payments for every single ninja who strolled through with a mission complete form. Jade wanted to be out there on her streets, actually helping people. Her council had not agreed with her tactics and continually set a contingent of guards to protect her. They soon found out how silly that was; the people loved Jade. She did an incredible amount of charity work and was not afraid to bleed for her people. Jade would be damned if she was going to be kept behind a desk far from the world.
But then the moment was over. Footsteps echoed down the hall and a knock sounded at her door. Jade sighed softly, untangling herself from Aeden’s arms and turning to kiss him lightly on the lips. It was time to resume her job. She walked to the corner of her desk and sat on it, grabbing a piece of paper and pulling it out to ‘read’. ”Please, come in.” She already knew who it was, Sotera Zidanellia. She was a lovely young kunoichi, and very promising. Jade enjoyed her, and always tried her best to keep from scaring the girl off. She had noticed that Sotera seemed skittish around her, though Jade had no idea why. It had been said about Jade before that she was rather motherly to her kunoichi and shinobi. She respected them and treated them kindly, always giving her support and a helping hand when needed. It amused Jade and she found herself unable to keep a smile from her face.
