Nighttime was a good time to take a walk. It was a good time to just clear one’s head…and it was a good time to stay curled up in one’s room, playing video games…
The green haired girl paused in her walking and sighed heavily. No. No, she was spending far too much time curled up in the dark clicking buttons on her controller. She was enjoying being outside in the cool spring air. It was nice…but that game just seemed…so tempting…
Juniper flopped down and sat with her back against the tree. She used to love being outside all the time. What on earth had changed to make her not like it as much? Perhaps what the stupid old people said was true and video games were destroying the minds of the young people everywhere…or maybe it had just been too cold this winter to really enjoy being outdoors, and that was why she was neglecting it.
Either way. She was out here, and while it did feel good, she was craving being back inside.
Ah, the life of a normal teenage girl. So difficult.

Sheena was on the move as she was every night, she was never one to slack off. She barely took a night to herself to just bug Peter and make him play video games with her or try to sneak a few moments with his tablet. No, she was a guardian and she had a job to do and ... she paused in her strolling. She was sure she sensed it, somewhere near here. She looked around and there, she headed in the direction. An unawakened senshi was near by and Sheena needed to find him or her. Last time it was a him.
She trotted until she spotted her, sitting under a tree, just seemingly enjoying the nighttime air. It was warmer these days, so she suspected she'd find more and more senshi, as more people seemed to be out and about at the oddest hours. Sheena grinned. It was no matter to her, it was time to work her magic.
She headed straight for the girl, stopping just a few feet away before announcing her presence with an adorable mew and looking at the girl curiously thinking, 'show time'.

Juniper blinked, hearing the sound of a cat. Cats were good. Cats were cute. She looked around and her eyes fell on Sheena, a smile crossing her face. “Hey there, kitty kitty. What are you doing on a night like this? Just wondering around?” Was it a stray cat? It seemed more than friendly.
The girl reached out a hand, gently petting the cat’s head. Well…if it was a stray, perhaps it had some people that looked after it. Most strays didn’t just end up with adorable big bows tied around their necks, after all.
“Why aren’t you at your home, kitty? I bet you have someone that’s looking for you, and worried about you. Gosh you’re a pretty cat. I wish I could have a cat. And you’re so friendly too. One day, I’m going to get a pretty kitty too.” Maybe. When she had an apartment of her own and could afford one. Then she’d get one and it would curl up on her lap and purr as she played video games. Oh yeah. That would be the life.

Sheena was quite happy the girl took the bait, it was really to bad she would have to freak they girl out in just a bit, for now she happy moved forward brushing against the proffered hand giving another mew because what cat didn't love a good pet.
Not only did she love a good pet, this girl was listing some of her best qualities and really just confirming in Sheena's mind how wonderful and awesome she was. She climbed right up into the girl lap and brushed against her tummy, before sitting down and looking up at the girl.
She smiled, yes the cat actually smiled at the girl.

It was all Juniper could do not to burst into a fit of giggles. Or a fit of something. This cat was…without a doubt the cutest creature on the planet. “Oh kitty. If you keep doing things like that, I don’t know if I’ll be able to let you go back to your owner. I’ll just scoop you up right now and hide you in my room forever. You can sit in my lap and purr while I play my video games. I’ll have my perfect life before I graduate even.”
She smiled down at the creature and laughed. It looked like the cat was smiling back! Oh gosh. She was so close to just standing up and walking home. Her grandmother couldn’t deny that this cat was the cutest cat in the entire world, and she should be allowed to keep it, regardless of…anything.

Sheena didn't like the idea of being taken away from Oberon (not that she was there all the time anyway) and was tempted to back away until the girl said the magic word and Sheena was up on all fours in her lap. She even momentarily forgotten the girl was a senshi in favor of video games.
"I love video games," she spouted immediately, "I always try to get into the arcade and play, but the owners don't really like that very much."
She grinned and sat down tail flicking while she mentally frowned that she had done it again. She totally got off topic and blurted out something that had nothing to do with awakening this new senshi.
"Hi, I'm Sheena," she said happily still grinning at the girl before her, "and tonight I'm actually out looking for you. And guess what? ... I found you."

Juniper jumped as the cat got up quickly, then stared as the cat…uh…started…
Talking. The cat was talking. The green haired teen watched as the cat sat back down and then proceeded to say that she was looking for her. A talking cat was looking for her…well…either this was a bad dream, or video games had finally completely warped her mind to the point where there was some sort of gap between reality and fantasy.
Well...there were two ways to deal with this. She could stand up, walk away and pretend this never happened…or she could treat it like it was a video game…and take the bait.
And taking the bait sounded a lot more fun than walking away.
Finally, Juniper swallowed. “Oh? Nice to meet you, Sheena. I’m Juniper…you were looking for me? What for?”

Sheena quickly decided that even though she jumped, it was only just so, that she really like Juniper. She wasn't totally freaked out and even more so than that she seemed happy to jump straight to the point.
She grinned, "Well that simple. You miss Juniper are a senshi. A defender of justice and protector of the universe against chaos. You have magic in you."
Yes the talking cat, took it a step further into the land of video game delusion. Not only did the cat have to talk, but she spewed what seemed like complete nonsense. Still she was looking at Juniper with a straight face even if there was a slight smirk to it.
Sheena gave good over look before, Tortali, it came to her. This girl was Totali.

Juniper nodded slowly. So…she was a senshi, hm? Well. It kind of sounded like some sort of fish dish…so it couldn’t be so bad. A defender of justice and protector of the universe…against chaos. Yes indeed. This was some crazy fantasy rpg if she had ever seen one. Now all she needed was a quick outfit change and she would be set!
“I see…so that’s all I do as a…senshi…? Defend the universe all on my own, hm? Do I get any cool power ups? You say I have magic? Do I get something with which to access that magic…or will it just happen and poof. Here I am with a new magical destiny?”
The green haired girl couldn’t stop a slightly sarcastic smile of her own from crossing her face and began to stroke the cat’s fur once more. “I’m still trying to get all of this. Now, Sheena…you’re a talking cat who is bestowing great power on me, correct? Or am I making up the whole…great power thing. Maybe I just want the great power.”

Sheena gave a small laugh and shook her head, "You are not alone. There are lots of other senshi and knights to help you along the way. Yes, you get cool power ups, but you have to work to get it, you have to be ready. As for the magic, yes, you have it right inside you." She couldn't help but to grin a bit more as it seemed Juniper or Tortali, had it just right, in one go.
She enjoyed the stroking of her fluffly fur and nodded at Juniper's words. "That pretty much it. I can give you your henshin pen now and you will be able to power up."
Sheena took a step back and concentrated for a second before the pen and senshi cellphone appeared with a small pop and fell into Junipers lap. "Go on pick it up. You pen will give you access to you power and the cell phone will help keep track of and contact other's among other things.

Juniper picked up the pen first, looking at it and nodding slightly. “So…this pen does…what now? Is this my magic wand or something?” She held the pen loosely in one hand before looking at the cell phone. “Well, this is cool too. It’s a lot nicer than my phone that I use for normal, everyday things, at least.”
But the phone was just a phone after all…that pen. Henshin pen. Now that seemed like it was something special…or at least something worth investigating further. “So…how does it work? Do I just use it and shoot lasers at people or something?” That seemed like it would be pretty cool. Shooting lasers at people…but then finally something seemed to register in her head, other than the new gadgets in her lap.
“Wait a minute. Did you say knights? Are you saying that there’s crazy people in suits of armor walking around the city, also trying to destroy chaos from the universe? That’s kind of epic, if I do say so myself.”

Sheena shook her head, "no no of course not," she said quickly. The girl wasn't a witch, she didn't get a magic wand. She wanted to laugh, but she didn't. It was time to get her powered up.
At the question of how it worked she hopped off Junipers lap and turned to her. "Stand up now please. You are going to use you pen to become Tortali, Senshi of Grudges. And no it doesn't shot lasers, but I can, though its just mostly stuns and cost a lot of energy."
Sheena gave another chuckle and shook her head once more, "not entirely. I mean they can have armor, but not all of them to, but they all have these really fancy outfits. You'll see, but first let get you transformed."
She grinned, "okay, so hold out you pen and call out Tortali Power Make-Up. Like you mean it please, or it won't work."

Juniper nodded, then stood up, stretching and giving a yawn. How long had she been sitting against the tree? Her muscles had all tensed…oh well. She put the phone in her pocket and looked at the pen for a moment, before holding it out. “Okay. I got this…”
The girl took a deep breath and then said with little hesitation. “Tortali Power…Make-Up!”
It was a very, very strange sensation, transforming. And it was a sensation that left her feeling both warm and cold…perhaps though, she was only cold due to the sudden lack of clothing on her arms and legs.
A new senshi had been born, and man did it feel strange.
“Oh…hey…Sheena…where did my clothes go?”

Sheena grinned up at the girl proudly when she got it on the first try and before her stood Tortali. She really loved her job, especially when people like Juniper made it just so easy.
"Welcome Tortali, its nice to see you, good thing you skipped winter. You would have been a bit cold" she said with a grin before sitting back on her haunches. "Don't worry about your clothes, they didn't go anywhere really, when you power down you'll be wearing them. For now you have you're senshi fuku, until you let go of your power to be Juniper again."
She smiled at the girl, "all you have to do is just think about it."
"So do you think you are ready to meet you new destiny Tortali?"

It was indeed a good thing she had skipped winter, that would have been a mess, especially with how cold it had been this past year. “Well, that’s a relief. I like those clothes…Sheena, this is kind of cool, and you’re sure this isn’t just some sort of dream or really vivid hallucination that I’m having? This is really…uh. My real life?” She hesitated, flexing her hand into a fist then releasing. “This is my destiny, hm? Well…I guess I am ready, then.”
She knelt down, scooping Sheena up and cuddling her. “So, what do I have to do in order to really…meet this destiny, hm? What kind of things make up the chaos in the universe? Just what am I up against?”
