While Otto wasn't a strong swimmer, he loved beaches. And one thing he'd been meaning to do for months was take Eva out on a date. Why not the beach? There was a fair amount of things to do, from swimming to wandering the beach front town to the piers.

So after confronting the girl and setting a time, the pair arrived via portal on a sandy beach somewhere in the Caribbean. Why there? Otto had never been there, and it sounded amazing. Never in his life would he have had a chance to go to any beach in the world were he not a Hunter.

"Wow.." He breathed out, eyes wide as he stared out at the clear blue water.

Wow.

Wow.

Perhaps for one of the first times in her life, Eva was completely speechless as she stared out at the water. Who knew that water could be so blue and stunning? It took her a few seconds to take everything in, and when she was finally capable of speaking again, she lifted her brows and leaned towards Otto with a grin.

"Would you be mad if I just dived in right now with all my clothes on?" As much as she loved this simple little dress she was wearing, the urge to go running in--and dragging a certain blond in with her, of course!--was almost too strong to ignore.

With a sly side glance towards Otto, she took a step forward towards the water.

Trying not to get too distracted by seeing Eva in a dress, Otto made sure to focus more on sassing her as much as he could. "Uh, not so much mad as I'd be expectin' to hear ya whinin' when you got no dry clothes to change into." He remarked with a raised brow. He himself had his swim trunks on already with a light tshirt. He also had with him a small duffle bag with spare clothes.

Because Eva.

That look in her eyes spelled trouble. He didn't trust it. "The water ain't goin' nowhere. Lets at least find a spot to claim for ourselves before ya drown me and our stuff."

"I'd just steal your dry clothes!" Eva answered brightly without missing a beat, eyes twinkling with mischief as she rubbed her cheek against his in an affectionate manner. "See? Problem solved!"

Still, she managed to resist the call of the water and trotted alongside Otto when the boy mentioned finding a spot to claim. "Mm, I suppose that you're right in that regard. The flailing and drowning can come after we find a place to set down all of our stuff." There were things in her own bag--like her phone--that she didn't want getting wet, for instance.

As they searched for a nice spot, Eva shot Otto a sly side-long gaze. At first, there was simply a light smile on her face...but then, as the seconds passed, it grew into a wide grin.

"So," She chirped brightly, tone innocent, "From a scale of one to ten, how awkward will it be to see me in a two-piece swimsuit?"

Otto gave her a judgemental, deadpan stare at her claim, though it melted a bit as she rubbed her cheek against his. Damn her mystic powers! "No, not solved. That just replaces one problem with another." Then he'd have to wander around soaking wet, or awkwardly half wet.

But, it was good to hear that flailing and drowning could be put on stand by for now.

Her shy glance was noticed, his gaze flicking away self consciously as the seconds passed by. It was fine, it was cool. This awkward too shall pass.

But alas, it was made worse by Eva's teasing, making Otto go pink and giving her an incredibly scandalized expression. "wuh---" His mouth closed tight into a thin line, his eyes narrowing as he tried to think of an answer. A lot of this process involved over analyzing the situation and the question itself.

There.. was no right answer here!

"Nuh...the...but... you don't play fair."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:15 pm

She stuck her tongue out at his reply but was back to smiling in the next second, casually looping her arm in his. The fact that this was...er, well, a date--like a date date--honestly made Eva a little more nervous than she wanted to appear, but she tried to at least seem collected and carefree.

She was unable to bite back her amusement at Otto's flustered answer, but at the very least, she lifted her free hand in an attempt to shield her grin and laughter. "Who said I ever had to play fair, puppy? And hey--it was an innocent question, you know!" Only not, since the intention behind the question had been to throw Otto off guard.

Which she had done.

...

Just look at that blush.

Suddenly pausing, Eva glanced from side to side before gesturing towards the ground. "This looks like a good spot, don't you think?"

"Innocent my a**!" He retorted with narrowed eyes staring straight ahead.

His gaze dropped down as she paused, then up at the area surrounding the spot. "Yeah, this'll do." He agreed, letting the heavy bag drop to the ground with a soft thud. His mind was already reeling with plans of getting her back for embarrassing him. Yes... plans. He'd get her good, he would.

The blonde kicked off his shoes into an untidy pile along with his shirt, ready for some crystal clear waters. And vengeance. That too. "So, how's that so called two piece look, girly?" He asked with as much sass as he could muster, blue gaze drifting to the woman with a brow raised high.

As if to emphasize her supposed innocence, Eva stared up at Otto with wide eyes and batted her lashes, through her mischievous grin betrayed her attempt to look completely harmless. Just as Otto spent his days sassing people, Eva spent herself playfully teasing them. It was just how she was--she couldn't help it!

Or so she claimed, anyways.

Eva set her own bag down in the sand, immediately rooting through it for towels that they could lay out and sit on. However, she paused when she noticed Otto's shirt lying beside her--hadn't that been on the boy just a moment ago--and her face turned decidedly red as she hastily went back to digging in her bag. She had seen shirtless guys before, pff! ................Just none of them had been someone she was dating.

Hooboy.

His question, at least, gave her an opportunity to relax and do some more teasing. Grinning, she hooked her finger on the neckline of her dress and peered down at her two piece. "It's...more skin than I'm used to showing, but eh. No problem, right?" And off went the dress. She brought a sarong to tie into a skirt for good measure, but there was no point wearing that into the water.

Oh Eva. Otto knew that look. He saw right through you!

More skin that she was used to? Well that could mean anything! She was usually rather covered anyway, right? She was obviously just trying to fluster him again. Yeah. that was it. Just trying to make him nervous, that's what she was doing. Tricksy vixen.

"Yeah, sure no problem." He bluffed with his eyes fixed on the water.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 15, 2013 6:46 pm

No though, really--this really was a lot more skin than Eva was used to showing off, but this swimsuit had been on sale the last time she had gone out, and it had been a last minute purchase, and--...

Well basically, it was the only thing that she had.

Noting that Otto wasn't looking at her made Eva grin, and she crept up behind him, setting her chin on his shoulder. "Awww, Puppy. Shy, are we?" Because she wasn't. Nope. Not at all!

Just so you know.

Clearing her throat, she gave him a little nudge before skipping in front of him and gesturing towards the water. "Race you!" And before even waiting for an answer, she was off, running as fast as she could...which was not very fast at all in the sand.

Otto jolted every slightly as Eva was suddenly right on him. Shy? Him!? Never----yeah okay maybe he was a little shy. Just a little...

Watching the girl skip off ahead of him in a teasing flurry of an attempted sprint in sand, Otto huffed and gave chase. Albeit it was probably about as graceful as Eva's attempt. Running in sand never really worked out right.

As soon as he caught up, he hooked an arm around her middle and hoisted her up. "I'll show you shy." Heaving her over his shoulder as best he could, he teasingly stepped towards the water.

"Wanna be the first one in? Test the temperature?"

One minute, Eva was laughing and stumbling clumsily over the sand, and the next, she was gasping in surprise as she felt her feet lift off of the ground. Giggling, she immediately began to struggle half-heartedly, careful not to actually kick him.

"Hey, put me down! This isn't fair!" For one thing, she would never be able to heft Otto up on her shoulder like this, that was for sure. It was just the result of training and having a large, heavy boomerang as a weapon, she supposed. "Where are you goin--oh."

Oh.

"Ooooh, no! Puppy, don't you dare!" She was still laughing, but her wriggling became a little more determined now as she tried to free herself--or at the very least, bring Otto down in the water with her. Either would suffice!

((Odd he gets pulled in too // Even he tosses her with no consequence))

This was completely fair. Yes, totally. Otto took the first few steps into the warm, tropical like waters, wading deeper until the water reached his knees. Eva's flailing didn't deter his intentions, keeping a hold of her as she wriggled on his shoulder. "Oooooone~ Twoooooo~"

And then he threw her in, a devilish grin painted on his face. "Three."

[[ Hi hi hi, rolling too~~ Odd = Eva manages to tackle him, Even = she misses? >__> ]]

"PUPPY, NO! YOU'RE GOING TO BE IN A LOT OF TROUBL--"

SPLASH.

...and then nothing. There was no response from the girl, though the clear waters clearly showed that she was still right there, where she had been thrown. A second passed in silence, and then another...

And when Eva deemed it to be the perfect time and opportunity, she suddenly burst up, laughing, and tackled the blond.

Trouble? Psssshaaaaw~ Puppy don't give a damn 'bout no trouble--

But, hey. She was taking a while coming up. Maybe if he just waited for the water to clear so he could get a good look. You know. Make sure she isn't drowning or something dumb like that.

Otto flinched when she suddenly burst from the water as he leaned over to check for her, giving out a grunt and staggering backward once tackled. His foot slipped causing him to lose balance, and splash into the water he went. Eva had now managed to level the playing field. They were both equally soaked.

Standing up after resurfacing, a devilish Eva attached, Otto actually let out a short laugh, wiping water from his face. "What'd I ever do to you?" He sassed at her 'innocently'.
