When Molly really thought about it, and she was, she wasn’t exactly sure why she was so worried about Jeremy. Obviously he was old enough to take care of himself, that’s why he was here, after all…but he was one of the few Hunters she had met who had been re-awoken…meaning something must not have been working before. What also probably helped her worry too was how easy going and cheerful he was. It was easy to get attached.

The mist trainee frowned, sighing again as she lowered her fiddle and bow for a moment and stared out the window of her room. It wasn’t like he was in any trouble right now…he was right across the hall! She tried to assure herself of this, and tucked her fiddle back under her chin and pulled the bow across the strings.

Then there was a rather loud knock on the door. It didn't sound like a regular knock because it wasn't; Jeremy was actually kicking the door as softly as he could. There was usually a method to his madness and tonight there was a rather questionable one; he was kicking the door because his arms were full. With pillows. Apparently the Sun Trainee had seen fit to take all the pillows off his bed (which somehow managed to be three, meaning someone probably had a brain fart when they were fixing his room) and cart them the few feet down the hallway to Molly's door.

When he heard the sound of music on the other side, well, the pile of pillows with fluffy blonde hair spikes and legs just kicked harder at the door. Slightly.

"Da-na-na-na-na Inspector Gadget~" He sang along to the tune of his kicks. "Woo-hoo~ da-nana na na~"

At some point, Molly stopped playing her fiddle when there was a…rather strange thump coming from somewhere. That…didn’t sound like someone knocking on the door. Molly sat there at her desk, confused for a good long while as she listened to the thumps…that were now getting oddly rhythmic, and it was only when she heard the voice on the other side did it all make sense. Her freckled face immediately pulled into a wide smile and she hastily placed her fiddle and bow back into the case on her desk. She then all but fell over herself trying to get to her door, to which she swung it open, and looked terribly relieved and at the same time ecstatic to see Jeremy.

“HI!”

The door flew open and the Blonde stood a little straighter; not that he needed to, he couldn't see her with the way he was holding those pillows. "Hello Sir-and-or-Ma'am. My name is Jeremy White, and I am here on behalf of Deus Ex Machina's pillow department." Jeremy said from the other side of the pillows. "We received an anonymous tip that you needed more for a pillow fight?" He continued on cheerfully, more than happy to pretend that nothing happened, that his world was a lot more empty than when he'd taken a break from it.

“…Uh…”

Molly was now very confused, not that Jeremy could see from behind his stack of pillows. She did step back though and to the side, to let him in, her brows furrowed. “…Pillow department…” She echoed. “…I didn’t know we had one! Is that a new duty?” She asked him curiously, and very much serious. She then looked rather concerned. “Who said that? I…I wasn’t planning on any pillow fights! There’s been a mistake, oh dear!” She was not fretting, her hands cupping her cheeks in dismay.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:10 pm

"Duty?" He parroted, peeking around the pillows to stare at her with the same amount of confusion. His faded much faster than hers, and once it did he disappeared back behind the pillows, moving into her room once invited. "No mistake, Ma'am!" His play continued, grinning to himself. "It's all right here. Very official." After a brief maneuver of the pillows, he held out his hand - his empty hand - for her to see.

"Where can I put these?"

Look at that. He hadn’t woken up too long ago, and he was already up to date on new duties. Molly was a terrible Hunter. For shame.

She leaned forward a bit to stare at his empty hand, as if it would solve all of her life’s mysteries, and then fretted even more. Molly then did what could only be described as a ‘potty dance’ but it was out of worry. “But Jeremy!” She cried. “I didn’t order any pillows! We need to take them back and put them where they belong! It’s the right thing to do!”

Jeremy put the pillows down anyway, letting them fall right onto her bed and tumble as they pleased. He was too busy being surprised to worry about where they went anyway; Molly was two steps from losing it, and he couldn't figure out why. They were just pillows...he was just playing!

"Well, right thing or not, I'm keeping them! I found them in my room, you know. They were on my bed all nice like. I don't remember having three, though. So I guess I lucked out!" He didn't quite out himself as being a goofy truth bender, but instead he started taking off his white coat. Without skipping a beat he changed the subject. "Hey Mols can you rub my back again?"

Molly was two steps away from losing it, thought she immediately relaxed as soon as Jeremy said he found them in his room. Oh well…okay then! That was better. That was okay. Surely the pillow patrol wouldn’t leave pillows in Jeremy’s room if he wasn’t supposed to have them, right? Right. She made a note to write down in her planner later though to look into this ‘pillow duty’.

The mist trainee slowly and softly pushed her door closed, and looked back over at her shoulder curiously at the other trainee. At his question, her expression immediately brightened. “O…oh, certainly!” She smiled then, and made her way over to Jeremy, where as soon as his coat was off far enough, she swept it off the rest of the way and neatly placed it on the back of her desk chair, smoothing out any obvious wrinkles before leaving it be and moving to sit on the end of her bed. “How are you?” She asked while she waited for him to get settled, patting the spot next to her.

If Jeremy knew that she'd look into this apparent pillow duty he might have considered telling her the truth. But as it was she was already helping him out of his jacket, and his hands automatically went to the end of his hoodie, contemplating pulling it off. Now...did he wear something underneath or not? Hmmmmm. He stared at the wall while he pondered over it, as if it would give him the answers he needed.

In the end it was better to not risk it - and much easier than checking his shirt as well - and just left his hoodie on. At her invitation he sat next to her, and after a moment of staring at her lap decided to risk one thing; flopping across her knees like a ragdoll.

"I'm...okay." He admitted, his tone changing to something only slightly less cheerful. "You?"

Molly’s mouth made a small ‘O’ shape and her hands were held up as if this was a stick up when Jeremy flopped across her knees. She blinked repeatedly, a bit wide eyed, surprised, before she giggled softly and relaxed. Well then. One hand settled tentatively on his shoulder for now, while the other immediately took its spot on his back, resuming the motions she had been doing before, rubbing his back.

“Just okay?” She murmured softly as she tilted her head. “Oh, I’m doing good! Thank you for asking. I was just playing my fiddle before you came in…how’s your room? Is it alright?”

Jeremy had little shame, and he was perfectly okay with sprawling across the lap of a woman he only met a few hours prior. When she started rubbing his back again he closed his golden eyes, just settling down to enjoy it. Such magic hands!

"Yeah, just okay. Feels weird to be awake again, yanno? Ooh, a fiddle? That's what that was? Cool! Can you play anything else, Mols? Tell me more about yourself!"

Oh…no, Molly didn’t know what it was like to be awake again, and her brows furrowed as she rubbed his back. “…Oh…I’m sorry…I hope it feels better for you soon…if there’s anything I can do for you, don’t hesitate to ask, alright? Anything at all! Uh…”

Mols…that was kind of funny. She couldn’t recall anyone using that name for her in the past…and most certainly not on Deus. It was a first. Oh wait…tell about herself? Yikes. “Uhhhhhh….Gosh…I’m not really that interesting, Jeremy.” She laughed softly. “My favorite color is green, I really like clovers, my favorite flowers are sun flowers…uh…I knit? I play fiddle…and I did play the cello for a bit as well…I press flowers and clovers, too…Uh…yup! That sums it up. How about you?”

"I'm sure it'll be fine." Jeremy decided out loud, nodding awkwardly as he did so. "And I will! I'm here now, aren't I?" He pointed out, since he did promise he'd see her again after their last parting. How very much like a terrible romance novel!

"I bet you're lying." The blonde challenged as she tried to laugh off the shot to herself. He listened to her prattle on about herself, trying to commit what he could to memory. Green, Clovers, Sunflowers, Knitting, Fiddle. Easy enough! He hoped, anyway. "There, see? That's interesting. I don't think I've ever met anyone who knitted! Knits? Knitted? Hrm." The teen paused, humming thoughtfully before shrugging.

"Mmm...I dunno any more. I kinda told myself when I woke up that I was gonna start over, so I don't know anything about myself any more." He let out a low, happy noise and shifted on her lap to make himself more comfortable. "Well I mean...other than my name is Jeremy, I grew up with Ariane and used to smoke and be really lazy and useless."

“W...well yes…but any other time too…! I really mean it, okay? Really…it’s not any trouble.” At his challenge, Molly shook her head a bit. “I’m not lying~ Miss Candace says I’m a terrible liar…so obviously I can’t be, because I’m not good at it!” She smiled. “Oh…really? Knitting isn’t…all that uncommon though…” Well, maybe on Deus it was.

Molly fell silent though as Jeremy spoke up, her lips parting lightly in awe as she listened. That…sounded rather mature, actually, and deep. Molly had never thought about…starting over or letting go of the past. She had come to terms with the past, which made living easier now…but she had never thought to start over. It probably wasn’t for her, anyways. The young woman paused, lifting her hands briefly to let Jeremy shift before she placed them back down again, rubbing his back once more. She made a small face when he said he use to smoke (for shame, Jeremy, for shame! You’re so young!) but she was curious.

“You grew up with Ariane…? How wonderful! It must be nice having a familiar face here! I can only image what that must be like…and oh, don’t say that, Jeremy! You’re not useless.”
PostPosted: Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:38 pm

Jeremy only shrugged. "Bad liar or not, you're more interesting than you think." Candace...that name sounded familiar. Hrm. If it was a Hunter, it was good to know that she was alive too. Whoever she was. "I don't know anyone who knitted. Other than my Gramma...but when someone becomes a Gramma they pretty much instantly know how to knit, make delicious baked goods and give awesome hugs." He nodded sagely, as if he seriously believed it.

Luckily he was face down and couldn't see the look she gave him, but he figured it was there. Molly was a pretty good girl, so smoking was probably hugely frowned on.

"I dunno Mols, familiarity breeds contempt or something like that! She's kind of a special--" He lifted the arm not pressed against her to flail dramatically...at least as well as he could, given he was laying down. "--Girl. Love her to pieces though, just don't tell her that."

Molly just laughed a bit nervously, and left it at that. No, she didn’t think she was interesting, but okay. She’d play your silly game, Jeremy. She couldn’t help but sincerely giggle at his observation about grandmas though. Sounded about right! Too bad she never got to experience that. Oh well. She took your word for it, Jeremy.

At his next statement though, Molly gasped softly and the hand on his back stilled. Familiarity…breeds contempt? That…that wasn’t really reassuring! They were all trapped on an Island for goodness sakes until they…well…expired, and hopefully that wouldn’t be for a long time! She had to believe that they could all get along and be happy with each other. Well…she wanted to believe that, she really did. She was snapped out of her thoughts by his frantic flailing, and her hand resumed rubbing his back. A small smile came back to her lips. “You should tell her that! I think it’s important to let those you care about know how you feel…” She trailed off, and then reached up to tuck some of his unruly gold locks behind his ear.

"Nah." Jeremy decided, practically purring at her continued back rubs. This girl was still his new favourite! "I think our relationship works better this way!" He nodded, but stopped short as she tucked his hair behind his ear. Whoa that was...not something someone had done for him since his parents died...

He felt his heart get heavy, the old wounds stretching and shifting; before they could break he sat up like a shot - well, a careful shot, since he didn't want to startle her - and turned toward her again, all smiles. "Hey! That reminds me! Have you ever seen a seagull on the island?!"

Molly’s brows furrowed. “…Well…if you think so…!” What did she know about what worked for who, anyways? After tucking some hair behind his ear, Molly went back to rubbing his back, until the young man shot up suddenly anyways. Molly did startle, though certainly not as bad as it could have been. Her hands were raised and she blinked rapidly before nodding her head excitedly.

“Oh yes, I have! A few here and there, but then you get days where there’s a flock! I like taking cheerios from the cafeteria and feeding them.”

"...REALLY?!" He cried out, good eyes wide with surprise and awe. "Wow, that's awesome! Before I took that super long nap I used to try and go hunting for them!" It was a hobby, or at least he claimed as such; he really only did it to keep himself occupied when they weren't in missions. Before he woke up it was dangerous to let him have enough time to think.

"Took Judy out once, never found any though." There was a brief note of disappointment in his voice, but that vanished quickly. "YOU, though! You must be like, the bird-whisperer!" His hands were on her shoulders then, as if bracing them both for some mind blowing, body-shifting news.

"Gadget, one day, you have to show me your bird summoning powers!"

You know what else Molly liked about Jeremy now? He too, got excited over little things. It was awesome. The young woman nodded her head vigorously, curls bouncing wildly. “Really!” She assured, beaming, and then looked curious. “…Judy…?” She hadn’t met any Judys on the Island yet…hrm. “…Huh? The bird-whisperer?” Molly echoed, and then laughed. “Oh no…” She paused though, as Jeremy placed his hands on her shoulders, and then nodded her head again.

“Oh, of course!” Molly replied. “The key to summoning…is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.” She then nodded her head sagely. “The summoning time is cut even shorter if you have a bag of potato chips as well.”

"Judy. Tall, long blonde hair?" Jeremy explained, holding his hand above his head to indicate height. He then went on to nod excitedly as she echoed him, not thinking it needed any other explanation. His hands remained on her shoulders as she explained how to lure them, leaning in close in excitement. "...Peanut butter and jelly sandwich..." The Trainee parroted both in surprise and as though committing to memory. "Bonus points for chips..."

His stomach grumbled. Loudly.

"OF COURSE!" Arms flew into the air in a EUREKA moment, before a fist came down to pound into his palm. "IT WAS SO SIMPLE!" His fist rested on his hips then, the other hand lifting to stroke his imaginary beard. "I'll have to see it in action though." He decided like a villain about to buy the world's greatest something-or-other. "Pick a day, Mols!"

“…Jude?” Molly offered tentatively, the only name and appearance coming to mind. Jeremy had been sleeping for a while…maybe he jumbled up the Death hunter’s name? As the Sun Hunter leaned closer to her though…Molly suddenly stilled, her expression into that of a deer in the headlights as she stared at Jeremy. Why was he leaning in so close? Did he…did he…did he want to kiss her? That thought suddenly had her cheeks turning a bright red, and she reached up to cup her face. Oh my! But they had just met…

Clearly spending too much time with Dakota was bad for Molly and her overactive and worry wart imagination.

But then his stomach grumbled, and then his arms flew into the air and Molly was left feeling uh…surprised, and then immediately mortified and embarrassed. She then pressed her face into her hands, ashamed for those rather silly and stupid thoughts she was having, and nearly missed his question. “Pick a day?” She echoed, muffled by her hands. “…Oh! Um…a…any day is good for me…”

"YES, Judy!" Jeremy confirmed, nodding. Yes, that was Judy! Jude. He didn't catch onto her stilling or blushing until the tail end of it though, and then he was nothing but curious. What was that for? Did she have personal space issues? She must have, why else would she be blushing? All this from a boy who was more or less a pervert before getting himself podded. Just a little bit.

Then she put her face in her hands.

...

...

...

"...Uhh, Mols? You okay? You're all like, red. You know if you blush any harder you'll glow for an hour." He informed her matter-of-factly, blinking. "...Okay seriously, what's wrong?" His hands slid forward, curling his fingers around her wrists to try and unhide her face.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:48 pm

Oh so ashamed for those horrible and flighty thoughts. Where did they come from? Had watching too many Lifetime Movies finally caught up to her? Molly was just ashamed. She was a terrible person, thinking someone was possibly trying to kiss her when she had just met hi—

Then pleasantly warm hands where on her wrists, and Molly squealed, jumping in surprise, and surprise, surprise, her cheeks stained an ever darker red. “No-nothing’s wrong!” She piped up in a terribly high pitched voice. “I know, once I start blushing it doesn’t stop! I’m sorry! I’ll be fine, I promise! I’m used to it! It just happens! I’m sorry!” Or so she tried re-assuring him…it probably wasn’t working out too well, but she tried anyways.

Well, that didn't answer any of his questions. The calm, quiet Molly he had met was lost under a blushing, squealing, loudly talking crazy person. Gold eyes blinked rapidly, as if somehow that would force a reset in his brain and make the game stop glitching. When that didn't happen he frowned, clearly worried, and poked one of her glowing red cheeks.

"Liar! Your pants are gonna catch fire, you know that, right?" He poked her again. "What's wrong, Molly?"

The Mist trainee took a deep breath, and then released a nervous laugh. “O-oh, you’re right! I don’t want my pants to catch fire…I think it’s bound to happen sooner or later though…!” She then started to fan her cheeks with her hands, and then shook her head, her curls bouncing wildly. “Oh…it’s nothing, I promise…I…I just had a really, really, really silly and totally inappropriate thought and I’m really embarrassed I even thought about it! It’s nothing, I swear…!”

She then tried to smile reassuringly at him while fanning her face.

...Silly? Inappropriate? What?

"...So tell me anyway?" If it affected her this much, it should be something to bring up... "You know, so I don't do it again." He was frowning, clearly unhappy that he made her so blushy and nervous. "It's not nice to feel that silly, so...if I can help it, I won't do it again! But I gotta know what happened first!"

Oh god. Please no. No, Jeremy, she couldn’t tell you what she was thinking…he’d surely think she was a weirdo and a pervert and other horrible things if she said what she was thinking! But she was also worried now, that apparently Jeremy thought it was his fault, and her embarrassed expression gave way to worry and panic. “Oh, no!” She cried, and immediately her hands reached out to take Jeremy’s within her own.

“It’s not your fault! It’s not your fault at all! You didn’t do anything wrong, so please, don’t think that you did…because you didn’t! It was all me…you didn’t do anything wrong.”

Jeremy was officially lost. He stared at their hands, blinking as he tried to understand what was happening. It wasn't his fault, but...clearly it was something he did. Well, he was at a loss. He seemed to be hitting a roadblock for reasons why this happened, so he just decided to brush it off with a shrug.

"Well okay! But I really don't think it'd your fault either. Things happen, I have silly and inappropriate thoughts all the time! I think it's like...I don't know, common or something. Hey, how old are you, Mols?"

Molly wanted to disagree. It was very much her fault, but as Jeremy admitted to having silly and inappropriate thoughts all the time, Molly gasped, her expression turning into one of surprise. Did…Jeremy have the kind of thoughts she was having too? Did he know? Now, oddly enough, it was Molly who was leaning in closer to the teen, and she lowered her voice, whispering, as if there was someone nearby who she didn’t want to be overheard by. “…Do you think about kissing people too?” She asked, in awe.

“Oh…Um…I’m twenty-one…um…how old are you? If I may ask?”

Jeremy tilted his head as she leaned in, almost going cross-eyed trying to see her until he leaned back on his own, just enough to see her without difficulty. They were still very close though, and he was quite aware they were alone in the room...though that really only made him amused at the way she was whispering. Some secret indeed!

"Oh yes, a lot! Who doesn't?" When she told him his age, he split into smiles. "Yeah! See! That's normal! We're all young, we all like kissing and stuff!" He pointed at himself next, his eyes closed in a fox-eyed big smile. "I'm---!" Um. How old was he? The Trainee paused, staring at her like she could give him his answer...and when that didn't work he leaned back a bit more, looking at the ceiling. "Well I was eighteen when I started this hunter business and I've been out for almost a year so I...I'm Nineteen now! I'll be Twenty soon." He announced happily after he worked it out, leaning back in to make sure everything was the way it was before, even with the self-point and the fox eyed smile.

Now Molly had a new worry, and she wasn’t even sure why. Please don’t let Jeremy be under eighteen. That would be so very, very, very awkward. Molly was funny about ages, even being on Deus Ex.

The young woman was rather relieved if not surprised though as Jeremy easily dismissed her worries. “…O…oh…we…all do?” She echoed softly, uncertainly, and if not a bit hopefully. She waited with baited breath to hear how old he was, and her brows furrowed as he seemed to have trouble recalling. Uh oh. That wasn’t very reassure—

Oh. Oh whew.

Molly smiled then, genuinely pleased by the answer, and with a new subject in mind, she wasn’t even focused on how close they were still. “Oh? When is your birthday?” She asked, excitement creeping into her voice now.

"Yeah! All the time! Err, well, except when there are other things to think about. Like...if we want chinese or shwarma. Or...math." Jeremy pouted just enough to make him look perplexed at best, once more stroking his imaginary evil villain beard. "There was a study or something...they said every eight seconds or something was the average." Hm. Well, okay, that was done with!

"...March? No, May! May Twenty-First. I don't really like my birthday much though." He shrugged, also quite in on the whole not realizing how close they still were. Molly was just...a really up close friend! Yes, that was it. "What about yours?"

Molly nodded her head attentively…and then was blessed with a new worry. She didn’t think about kissing someone every eight seconds…was that bad? Oh gosh…

She pushed those thoughts from her head though as Jeremy unfolded the magical secret of his birthday, and she seemed even more excited, even when he corrected himself. “Oh, May twenty-first?” She echoed. She wasn’t going to remember this on her own though, so the young woman sprung up from her bed and hurried over to her desk where she pulled out her planner and flipped the pages. Picking up a pen, she jotted his birthday down, and then closed it, satisfied. “Oh…Mine is March seventeenth!” She beamed. “Saint Patrick’s Day!” Molly came back over and sat on the edge of her bed, closer to the Sun Trainee, but not as close as she had been prior.

“When we can go off the island again…we…um…well….uh…only if you want to of course, and if you don’t want to that’s totally alright—“ Molly started rambling, suddenly worried that she was making plans without being considerate.

Jeremy leaned back when she got up, watching her move towards the desk to write in a...oh dear. "Oh, Mols, don't do that! You don't have to, really, I don't like my birthday and---" Well, too late. His name was already on the date, and she was already on her way back; when she turned to face him he tried his best to not look like a pleading puppy. Luckily he had something to ponder, which made the whole ordeal a lot better "March seventeenth, St. Patty's Day...okay, that's easy enough!" Though he did make a mental note to go and get a planner or a calendar to write that down in.

Jeremy didn't even realize there was cause for alarm until well into Molly's rambling, worried speech. That was what snapped him out of his pondering over calendars and dates, and effectively gave him a little...spaced look when he turned to view her frantic visage.

"Want to what?"

“…Well…maybe we can make your birthday likeable! I’ll try my hardest, I promise!” She beamed at him then, and nodded her head a bit as he reaffirmed her birthday.

“…Uh…well…” Molly’s cheeks turned a bit red again, and she sighed trying not to trip over her words once more. “…I um…thought it would be nice to…go get some Chinese food when we’re allowed to leave time again…and um…to go see a movie…” She turned a bit more red. “Only if you want to though, of course, and if you don’t want to, all you need to do is say so! It’s alright, I understand!” She was waving her hands a little bit, as if he said ‘no’ to her plans already.

"Aww, you don't have to~" he drawled modestly, rubbing the back of his neck. She was making such a big fuss over his birthday...it felt awkward, but nice at the same time. Usually people backed off when he was adamant about his birthday, not promised him a changed mind. This Molly person was really something!

She went on to explain what she was frantically fretting about, and Jeremy looked thoughtful at best. Chinese food, a movie, just the two of them...? That sounded...that sounded an awful lot like...

"Fun! I love Chinese food! I think. Well I know I like movies! I'm sure I like Chinese food. Who wouldn't?" He prattled on innocently, before pausing and making a seriously thoughtful face. Something didn't seem right, or at least off about this. Hrm. What could it be...?

"Why would I say no, Mols?"

“Oh…but I want to!” Molly assured. “I think birthdays should be special…I mean…it’s a celebration of another year of you, after all!” She looked relieved though as Jeremy exclaimed that her idea sounded like fun; though she went right back to fretting when he seemed uncertain about his love for Chinese food. “Oh well…if you don’t like Chinese food, that’s alright, really!” Molly assured. “We can go eat whatever you want…or…or maybe…!” Molly got excited again, her face lighting up. “We can find a food court! Everyone wins with all the choices!”

She clapped her hands a bit, and then reached up to rub the back of her neck sheepishly.

“Oh well…I just didn’t want to pressure you or…if you really didn’t want…then I just wanted to let you know that it’s alright…I mean…there’s better things to do than to hang out with me!” She laughed softly. “Especially on leave…”

...A celebration of another year of him? As nice as that sounded, there were probably only two people who would want to do that, and one of them was sitting beside him. It was an awful lot of work for someone who didn't really deserve it. In the end he just shrugged, not really getting anywhere when it came to arguing with her.

"Nah, I'm sure I like chinese food! We'll go get chinese food, and if not...then a food court or something!" He decided with a nod, figuring that was more along the lines of everyone wins. As she fessed up once more, the blonde teen merely grinned.

"Aww, that's silly! Who wouldn't want to spend time with you? You're sweet and nice and---" Jeremy suddenly paused, his expression scrunching suspiciously as he leaned in closer to scrutinize her like a bad cop. "--Are you secretly evil? Like, Mafia Boss Wife evil?"

“Well…only if you’re sure that’s alright, okay?” Molly nodded her head a bit, curls bouncing, suddenly feeling more excited about making plans. She never really got the chance to do stuff like this before Deus…how odd she seemed to be catching up on normal young adult things now.

She blushed though, as Jeremy called her sweet and nice, and was about to try and persuade him that she really wasn’t all that great when she stilled at his suspiciously stared at her and then leaned in closer. Her breath hitched and she froze, and looked like a deer in the headlights at his question. “Evil?” She squeaked. “No! I’m not evil, I swear!” She cried. “Miss Candace says I’m a bad liar too!” Because clearly evil Mafia Boss Wives could lie well, and that made them evil.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:52 pm

Jeremy stared at her in all his scrutinizing, judging glory for another few moments. "Well okay then!" Whatever he had been looking for he apparently found as his expression eased back into a goofy smile and he leaned away from her again, resuming the distance they had prior. "I believe you, I don't think you could be a Mafia Boss Wife, so um, sorry if that was on your bucket list or something." He shrugged, clearly not too upset with outing her had it actually been a life goal of hers.

"But! Chinese and Movies on our next day off-island, it's a---" He paused, looking thoughtful. "Actually, before that, can we go to a cemetery? There's something I wanna do there. We can go somewhere you want to go after, too! To make it even. Like, one thing for me, one thing for you, and then both of us?"

It was intense. Being judged and scrutinized. Molly breathed a sigh of relief as he seemed convinced that she wasn’t. “Oh, no worries!” She assured. “That wasn’t on my list…it wasn’t even ever a thought at all, honestly!” She tilted her head, and at his question, Molly nodded her head vigorously. “Oh, of course! I don’t mind at all…” She didn’t want to pry, so she didn’t ask what he wanted to do…just…hopefully it wasn’t anything…naughty. Like…defacing stones or…something…Jeremy seemed like a very nice young man though. She didn’t believe he’d do such a thing.

“Oh um…I have no where in mind aside from somewhere to eat and the movies…so…no worries!”

"Okay good! Just checking, gotta be careful these days, eh?" Jeremy nodded, and gave her a thumbs up as she said it would be okay to visit the cemetery first. He didn't offer the information because she didn't ask him for it and besides, he just woke up, he didn't want to tell her he was going to buy a plot. Too much stress too soon after waking up, so future him could deal with that hurtle once he got there.

"Well alright then, it's a date!" He gave a fox-eyed grin, holding out his hand to shake on it. Clearly, making a date needed a handshake.

“O…oh yes! That’s a good idea…um…checking, that is!” She gave him a shaky thumbs up in return, and also seemed to remember something else. “Oh…we also need to pick out a day for finding seagulls as well!” She reminded him, and then looked down at his hand as he held it out.

Wait…

Did he just say…

D-d-d-date?

…Molly’s cheeks flared red again, and she had no idea why, but that didn’t stop her from reaching out to firmly take his hand in her own and give it a firm shake. She may have been covering her face with the other.

"Any day for that~" Jeremy waved in dismissal. They were already making plans, one could at least be somewhat spontaneous! Silly them! True to Jeremy fashion he didn't quite notice that she was blushing like she was until he already had her hand in a firm grip.

"...Why are you covering your face?" He questioned curiously, shaking her hand before letting it go as their date was agreed upon. "Are you thinking silly and inappropriate thoughts again?"

Molly squeaked, and immediately her now free hand also flew to cover her face.

“Silly…yes…! Very silly!” She replied. “Not inappropriate this time, I promise! Just silly…very…very, very silly.” Date. A lunch date…a…dinner date? A day date! Nothing more…why was she getting nervous about this? Maybe it was because it was her first time making serious plans aside from that one time with Gale…but it was different with Gale because she felt a very sibling-line bond for young Death Hunter…this…with Jeremy was not a sibling bond.

…Oh god.

Molly suddenly felt like she could not take on the world, despite wielding a huge whopping monster lance.

Jeremy laughed then, reaching over to carefully hold her wrists. "Silly funny or silly weird?" He inquired as he lightly peeled her hands from her face. "Though I kinda think you're both." Once he had freed her face he released her wrists just as carefully as he grabbed them. His hands seemed to hover after that, as if unsure of what to do with them. "Is it because I called it a date?"

“Um…Uh…” That seemed like a trick question, and Molly wasn’t sure how to answer. As Jeremy’s warm hands grasped her wrists though, she let him peel her hands away from her face and cast her hazel eyes downwards. She smiled sheepishly despite her reddened cheeks. “Y…yeah…I am…I’m really sorry…!” When he released her hands, they shot back up to her face, but cupped her cheeks this time.

“…Um…N…no…it’s not because you called it a date…uh…” Molly was silent for a long moment. “…I don’t know why I’m getting flustered so easily tonight! It’s…oh…I don’t know…it’s just me being silly funny and weird and I have no idea why. I’m sorry…I…I don’t…think I’m usually like this…I think.”

"Aww, don't apologize!" Jeremy insisted, briefly frowning when she insisted on holding her face again. At least this way he had something to do with his hands; he reached out and pat her on the head, giving what he hoped was a reassuring smile. "It's fine, really! I'm glad it wasn't me, 'cause I was just kidding, I promise~!" He felt like he should know the reason of her mysterious flustering illness, something of an answer was on the tip of his tongue; it felt like a teasing answer, or a snarking one, or maybe it was just a brat answer. Hard to tell, really. Instead he pressed his lips into a thin line, looking thoughtfully at the ceiling.

"Maybe you're getting sick?" He didn't sound convinced that it was right, but he couldn't quite put his finger on whatever else he wanted to say. In the end he shrugged, looking over his shoulder at the pillows he had brought with him, still thrown haphazardly on the bed. Reaching out he grabbed one, pulling it closer to him until it was on his lap and as he reached for the second one, he looked at her. "So...maybe I should go back to my room?"

“Ah, I’m sorry!” She paused, blinked, and then drooped her head, and giggled. “Um…sorry for…saying sorry…” Molly smiled a bit at the reassuring head pat, and nodded her head a bit. She examined the threads of her khaki jeans for a few moments before finally popping her head back up, her brows furrowed in thought. “…No! I don’t think so…I mean…I can tell when I get sick and…I’m not feeling like that…but thank you for your concern!” She beamed then, and watched him gather the pillows, before her expression turned into one of slight dismay.

“…Oh…um…only if you want to…I mean…I’m really enjoying your company, so I hope I’m not making you feel like you have to leave or anything…!” She gasped them, sitting straighter. “But I understand too that you woke up not too long ago…so if you wanted to go, I totally understand! I mean, I’m sure you have plenty of other friends who want to see that you’re okay!”

"Nonono, hush, no more 'sorry'~ You've reached your quota for today, you're officially cut off!" Jeremy made a diagonal cutting motion with one hand, because apparently that was official and this was super official business. At least they had figured out that she wasn't sick, which was a good thing. He seemed pleased enough with that answer, but he did pause when she commented on his attempt at leaving.

"I'm enjoying your company too." He admitted, smoothing out the corners of the topmost pillow. "I...didn't really know anyone before I was podded. Like, I knew them, but not well enough? Except Ariane of course but I don't know where she is now." So there was little to no point in going to see her, anyway. So he shrugged and tossed one of the pillows behind him again, followed by the second, followed by a flop backwards of the teen himself, sprawling where he fell.

"So I guess I can stay, if you don't mind! You can just kick me out when it's bed time, how's that?"

“Oh dear…is there really a quota?” Molly asked, her eyes widening.

She listened to the trainee and nodded her head a bit. “Oh…I see…ah…” Her brows furrowed. “I’m afraid I don’t know her schedule either…so—“ Molly paused, luckily catching herself from uttering another apology before she smiled sheepishly. She watched Jeremy flop back on her bed, and pulled her legs up underneath her. “Oh no, I don’t mind at all! Thank you for staying and spending time with me…um…” She giggled a bit. “Oh, I won’t kick you out at all.”

"Yes there is." Jeremy nodded matter-of-factly. "And you've met it for the day! No more saying sorry until tomorrow morning." He decreed, holding up his hand like a judge passing a sentence. That was why he didn't ask if that was okay, or if she agreed to it; he'd already passed judgment, and that was that.

"Nah, thank YOU or being so kind to me." He turned it back on her, his golden eyes still focused on the ceiling above him. Then he tsked, rolling onto his side to prop himself up on his elbow, fist against his cheek. "So, now it's a sleep over?" He mused, draping his other arm over his knee.

Oh dear…and Molly never knew! She looked rather solemn at this new bit of information, and nodded her head a bit. Okay. No more saying sorry until tomorrow morning. Jeremy looked very serious about it, so he obviously couldn’t be pulling her leg. Obviously.

“Oh…it’s not a problem! You’re very easy to be nice too.” She smiled at him, and tilted her head, and, unfortunately, as soon as the question came out…Molly erupted into another blush. Jeremy was just really good at pushing all of the buttons that made the Mist trainee blush, whether or not he realized it. The last time Molly had a sleep over with a boy…it…

Oh dear.

“…Um…if you want…it to be…!” She barely squeaked.
