Battle mode 0992. A clean one-on-one fight. Do you accept Mr. Toyotomi?" She paused to wait for his answer. Her Crystal Breaker was looking around, grumbling lowly at the annoyance of disappearing prey.

::Ryo on the other hand was in another predicament. Sitting in his cockpit rather tensional, his eyes darted to the left as he saw the hybrid stop its chase. Under no means was Toyotomi a coward, then again, he wasn't stupid. The decision to take the considerably weaker Shadow Fox against, the much stronger hybrid was a tough choice, but he was going to defend his name. The voice was what threw him off even more. It was unmistakable. He knew that voice. Frowning he opened up the com-link.::
I accept. Take care of yourself Eli, just because you're my friend does not mean I will hold myself back. I suppose I knew all along. I can smell allegiance to the Empire from far away. I take it also that you are here to collect the bounty on my head. Don't expect me to give up anytime soon, begin if you can find me. Oh and Devi keep out of this one.
::With that he sped off into the desert, his anti-detection scrubbers in symbiosis with his optical camoflage, making it practically impossible to find him in the beige mirage. Narrowing his emerald eyes, their gleam took on a dullness as he engaged the SLC, and brought the zoid up behind the huge hybrid. He knew that this would be the only way a victory could occur for the mercenary. With no mercy, he brought the invisible Fox up into the air and down descending down onto the hybrid's back with the charged claws prepared to slash, his next move would be crucial to the livelihood of the battle. His Fox was outgunned, possible outsped, trickery and the use of the SLC would ensure Ryo the victory.::
Izchi EH!? How does this guy know my.. wait. that sounds like Ryo... RYO!? The Crystal Comet... er... Eli struggled to open a regular audio com-link again. "H-How did you know it was me.. er... I'm the Crystal Comet! Wait... Ryo?! And there's a-" Before she could finish, she felt that weird feeling one gets when there's something behind you, she kept the right anchor down and boosted lightly with the left in an attempt for a quick turn. Ah.. s**t... She saw the sparkling charge of an SLC attack, and quickly raised one of the shields up in what seems like an attempt to block, but turns it quickly and lashes out with the giant scissor claw attached to the shield to catch the invisible Shadow Fox in midair with it's metalic grasp. It could be a long shot, except the fact that the Fox was descending already towards the blue Breaker in a perfect line with it's SLC attack. At this moment, the Crystal Breaker's right side is facing the Fox's position with. There was a friggin bounty on his head?! I don't want to fight Ryo... but I already challenged.. and.. and...
Kenji Nishamura ::Ryo was shocked for a second, as the Fox was suspended in the air by the giant pincer. Shaking his head, he disengaged the optical camo, exposing the dangling Fox. Nonetheless, Eli's move even though it was a last resort was not quite strategical. The Fox simply slashed and slashed away at the pincers with the charged claws, and then proceeded to open fire upon the hybrid. The shield would wear down eventually as the SLC was capable of it. Maybe two direct strikes to the strong hybrids shield and it would be down. No more than three, and with the constant fire of the 30mm Vulcan, the time the shield would wear out would be in literally no time.::
I suggest for the better judgement of your zoid that you let go of me. That shield won't last forever.
::Chuckling he continued the onslaught, the SLC tearing the through the thinly armored portion of the zoid that was the pincers, while the Vulcan pounded on the dying shield. Sooner or later she would let go, or he would tear himself out. Grinning he already had his plan in action, flipping a few switches, the exposed tail which was out of sight from the hybrid's pilot as the Fox was now facing the zoid, flipped back as the net gun readied itself.::
Izchi The thought that she was fighting Ryo took a slight toll on her abilities, she could of easily slammed the Fox down as soon as the grabbed him, or pinched into it and damaging it, but instead, she merely made her Crystal Breaker throw him, praying that he wouldn't be hurt. Do Foxes land on their feet? Ack. He did quite the damage on my right shield claw, gotta avoid using it again or he'd be able to break through it easily.. though the shield could be used as a light blocker. Ryo seems so... not... like himself in battle... or is this the true him?She let out a breath and concentrated. You are the Crystal Comet... not Eli right now.The Crystal Breaker roared in annoyance and stomped so it was directly facing the Shadow Fox, her thoughts lingered on the particle gun option then reminded herself that it would merely overheat her zoid due to recent use, and that the Shadow Fox would somehow avoid it unless it's mobility was taken down a notch. Give it time to charge... in meantime.. try to take out a leg? She readied the grappling claws, but instead, quickly pushed the thrusters forward and had the shield claws take the offensive in a rushing grab at the Fox.
Kenji Nishamura ::Gritting his teeth as the Fox leveled out from the toss, he landed awkwardly backwards, his hind legs skidding in the sand as he aimed the Vulcan for a quick blast at the weakened claw. He saw what was coming in advance. He knew what needed to be done. The smaller zoid undoubtedly had better mobility than the Breaker, the Fox danced effortlessly out of the way of the Breaker with a quick side jump. Smirking he turned the Fox again taking another short sustained blast at the zoids mid-leg section. Sighing he knew that Eli would figure out an alternative soon enough. He just needed to stay out of reach of those grappling arms and keep the Particle Cannon out of submission. Ending the fire from Vulcan he charged full speed away from the zoid hoping to enduce a chase, away from the Hover Cargo.::
What the hell is Eli doing piloting that beast...
::Beffudled in his cockpit he shook his head continuing to retreat out towards another far off dune. Flipping the overhead switches, the optical camoflage came back into effect, the anti-detection scrubbers doing their magic as well, as the Fox once again dissapeared into the desert mirage.::

The Breaker's leg armor easily endured the fire from the Fox. Eli watched him as he bounded away from the Hover Cargo area. Good... She quickly turned off the boosters when he went out of the way.
The Crystal Breaker once again deployed the right leg anchor and did a drifting turn, as soon as it directly faced where the Fox ran off too. She retracted the anchor and pushed the thrusters control on the back boosters and leg ones to initiate a quick boost towards her opponent. After reaching where she thought he might be around, Damn stealthy.. fox... She pulled back lightly on the booster's control and let the Breaker drift to a stop. She surveyed the area, and preped herself for an attack, making sure she'd be able to counter it or block it.
Strike Laser Claw... Vulcan Cannon.. Stealth... Electromagnetic net... SLC I should worry about more... same goes for Stealth.. that net won't do good if I can get my grappling claws to null the effects... The cannon wouldn't do great harm.. yet if I'm on constant fire that'd be bad... though my Particle Cannon should be usuable without overheat danger around now...

::The Fox pawed the ground as it idled just 1 kilometer away from the Breaker. Ryo narrowed his eyes. He needed to find a weak spot on this monstrosity. Scratching his head he devised a plan of last resort. Knowing he'd need to weaken the zoid first with some heavy gunfire. Ryo knew that Eli was going to take the Vulcan as a wimpy weapon. Nonetheless, the 30mm cannon was capable of mass destruction as soon as he could bring down that shield. He knew it would exhaust the zoid if it continued to use the energy shield. On another note, one of the pincers had been quite damaged from the SLC. If he continued to pound on that, he'd have a good chance of breaking down a portion of the energy shield. Sighing he nodded patting the controls twice before trotting over to the larger zoid undetected. The anti-detection scrubbers erasing 90 percent of his tracks, and with the winds of the desert blowing, most likely erasing more than that. Nonetheless, he charged his SLC, keeping the optical camo on, and jumped high in the air at the pincer's level, swiping at it with the zoids charged paws. If the Zoid was quick enough, he might be able to attack after the Fox landed, as the SLC attack gave away his position for a fleeting second. Preparing the Vulcan in mid air he spun the gun around and began to fire before he landed::

Eli smirked as she saw the Fox's glowing claws were in the air, she knew she would be able to block, but instead turned the shield abruptly out, using the damaged shield's pincers to block with instead of the shield itself, there was a quick scraping of metal on metal. The pincers were infact, used to null the attack, though allowing the Fox where he wanted to go... With the shield out of the way, she shot out the grappling claw quickly at the Fox's vulcan to top body area, being in the air and firing, he wouldn't be able to change where he landed by now.
The claw will take hold and send a violent electric jolt through the fox, in her hopes, damaging his optical camo system.

::Ryo slumped in his chair, pounding his head against the headrest as he felt the zoid jerk backwards. He knew what would come next, but he tried to resist anyhow. Flipping switches rapidly he knew he wouldn't have enough time to fire the net gun. Instead he just pounded on the zoid with teh vulcan at close range for a matter of 5 seconds, because he was sharply interrupted by the massive volts of energy that flew through the cockpit. He screamed in rage as the control panel flickered violently, fighting the influx of energy. The Fox itself was howling in anger, Ryo acted quickly, hoping he wouldn't CSF. He used the momentum of the fox's legs to swing it around, the Fox jittering with electricty. Taking his right paw back, he struck out in retaliation against the weak cables that held the grapelling claws. He knew it wouldn't take more than a few strikes to free himself even without the charge of the SLC. His claws were extremely sharp. Ryo clenched his jaw as he watched the claws go to work, tearing the poor cables to threads. He spoke to himself as he watched his shocked Fox attack.::
No more shocky, for Ms. Eli today. Lets just hope this hasn't hurt us too bad.
::Sighing he shook his head in disbelief of falling into the weak trap.::

The excitement of battle filled the Crystal Comet's mind, before a subconscious thought from Eli made her rethink that move. She watched the Fox jitter from the attack. I hope that didn't hurt Ryo... And winced slightly at that thought before she saw her grappling claw cables snap and fly out like a whip.
"Ack!" She gritted her teeth as she carefully withdrew the remains of the clawless cable. Eli looked at the Fox and noted that the Crystal Breaker's claw and a few cables were attached to the Fox. ... Okay... damage to right grappling claw... gonna take some work to reattach that later...
The shock must of done some damage.. if I could get in a couple of more then his Fox might freeze up, but he could rip off my other claw if I try again.
The Crystal Breaker roared at loosing one of it's claws, then attempted to grab the fox with both pincer claws.

: razz umping his fist as the zoid hit the ground, twitching for a moment, Ryo had done it. Gritting his teeth, he jerked the Fox to the side, the claw falling off as he did so. The operational systems seemingly working all normally, as he dodged the pincer attack with ease. A screaming pang sounded through the cockpit as a new screen popped up just to his left. It read off that all weapons systems were at 90% and recovering. The only system truly damaged was the optical camoflage, which was down to thirty percent, and didn't seem to be increasing in any hurry. Sighing he watched the bar raise to 36 percent a few seconds later. Shaking his head in the cockpit he flipped a switch as he fleed from the huge zoid. The tail flipped back and the net gun exposed itself. A minute or so later a new pang alerted he had a lock. Chuckling he pushed down on the trigger, the net gun flying at a ridiculous rate directly towards the Breaker. Given the wideness of the zoid a dodge would be near impossible.::
Enjoy your own medicine.
::The tiny capsule closed in on the zoid, as soon as it reached with its range, the proximity sensors would open the cannister projecting the electromagnetic net. If the weapon did work, it would send a charge through the zoid for 2-3 seconds, possibly disabling the hybrid for a short while, leaving it vulnerable to the SLC. Then again it would take additional time to untangle the large zoid from the pesky net. Ryo's hopes of distant victory lay on the sucess of the net.::

The Breaker didn't get it's target and growled angrily as it stopped, its pilot pivoted the machine and faced its shadowy opponent. Eli spotted the Fox fire the cannister at her. She aimed the Breaker's claw...
If I get this right... she smied as she got a lock on the incoming cannister, and fired her remaining grappling claw at it. The claw flew at the cannister, and reached the range to set it off. Eli watched as the net opened up and the claw push the mid point, pushing out the entire net's length on the claw's cable, both shockingly dangerous devices nullyfying eaches ability. She most likely wouldn't be able to send a shock through the remaining arm, but she could still probaly use it to fire out like a rocket punch. The cables of the claw begin to rewind, reeling in the claw and dragging the net partially agaisnt the grains of sand.
Eli blew out a held in breath, she's doing better then she expected. Sitting there, she debated if she had enough time to take off the stuffy Crystal Comet helmet, or try charging at the Fox again. The Crystal Comet part of her told her to charge, so she did.
Pushing on the thrusters, she charged at the Fox again with the pincers. This time, she pushed to the max speed of 345km/hr before reaching her target in hopes of catching him. If not succeeding, she had a more dangerous plan on mind.

So the behemoth dodged that one, and it still wants to tangle eh? Sheesh.
::The worry had seemingly departed from Ryo's emotions. His emerald eyes were clear with focus. Even as the sweat dripped down his temples, he continued to maneuver the mechanical beast with ease. Grinning he flipped a few switches and pushed forward at the oncoming Zoid. He was a gutsy pilot, but even this was suicidal. Playing chicken with a zoid almost twice as big as his Shadow Fox was insane, but nonetheless the front claws began to glow again with the charge of the SLC.::
Come on Eli. Lets see how tough you really are.
::The zoids closed in on each other, less than 500 meters away from each other and the distance was rapidly vanishing. Ryo gripped the controls tightly a very smug expression on his face holding fast to his intentions. He was not going to let this battle end any time soon if he could help it. If he could keep the combat within close quarters and minimize the use of her Particle Cannon, he would have a chance. Roughly 100 meters were left between the two beasts. Using the Fox's forward momentum, he sprung from the desert floor, placing a little extra emphasis on his right back leg, to give the Fox a more sideways trajectory. He brought back his right paw and lashed out at the passing enemy.::

She smiled as she saw him charge too. Looks like I won't be using the other plan, oh well, more of a challenge this way. Was what Eli was thinking, she prepared herself to get ready to do a forward grab at the fox when she saw it launch itself... then twirl to her right. "What the-!?"
The Crystal Comet cringed at the sound of the damaged shield being shredded, followed by the sound of tearing metal and a ka-thunk. Ryo's unique attack has basically ripped off the shield which is now currently laying in the sand, leaving the bare pincer exposed without it's protective shell. She cursed under her breath to let that happen, halting the thrusters and using the leg anchors to turn towards her opponent. Awaiting for him to make his next move.

::The Fox landed on its two feet, engaging the left leg anchor, bring the Fox round in a slight spin. Chuckling from the cockpit Ryo flipped yet another of the numerous switches around the controls, swinging around the Vulcan. He had cracked the elusive shell of the Crystal Breaker's shield. Thus with that reason alone. He sat tight and crouched his Fox, opening fire upon the exposed Crystal Breaker with the 30mm shells.::
Rookies.
::As soon as the huge beast made even the slightest of moves, Ryo would be on the move again. Hopefully able to get close enough to damage the beast even further than it was before. He concentrated the mass burts of ammunition at the large zoids unarmed pincer's side. Taking extra care to focus on the pincer itself.::
Now don't do anything stupid Ryo. Don't let up on her one bit... you're better than that.
::The mercenary was determined. He knew that this battle could flip-flop quite quickly if he allowed the Crystal Breaker to get to a point to use the Particle Cannon. Nodding to himself he narrowed his eyes in extreme focus and concentration.::

The Vulcan's shots hammered the vulnerable pincers, the constant hits could be heard ringing in the cockpit of the Crystal Breaker. The Crystal Comet gritted her teeth as she glared with so much irritation that it would be able to burn a hole through steel alloy, the constant ringing suddenly got to her. What she saw infront of her no-longer was Ryo, but just an opponent. Flipping a couple of switches, she made sure the fox was far enough and into a good range, and prepped the Breaker for it's trump card.
Concentration put on the weakspot...
Due to that the Shadow Fox was attacking the bare pincer and was in a straight line to that, she decided to just use the pincer as a coverup.The large blue zoid's legs couldn't be seen from behind the lumps of sand as anchors clamped themselves into the ground. The tail stretched out perfectly straight behind the Breaker as vents began to open up. The glowing eyes basically shimmered with excitement as it took aim, feeling the charge within it's mouth, moving the pincer out of the way at the last moment, as it quickly opening it and firing a concentrated yet destructive blast of white towards the shadowy opponent. In the Crystal Comet's mind ran two things that could happen, she could get the luck that from firing the vulcan and concentrating on the damaged pincer, he wouldn't notice the prep before it was too late, or that he was able to move in the last second, still being hit by the blast and doing some dreadfully painful damage to fleeting limbs.
In the back of the Crystal Comet's mind, Eli's voice rose up partly, Ryo...

::Ryo's eyes narrowed, and then widened. He slammed the controls to the left and pushed the zoid to its limits. He recognized the opening vents immediately, but even then knew it was still to late. As the beam shot from the zoids mouuth he grimaced. In desperation he jumped the zoid as far as he could, but was still afflicted by the impact of the particle cannon, sending the small Shadow Fox flying to its left. The zoid rolled twice before regaining its footing and preventing a third roll. Clenching his jaw he took note of the large chunk of armor missing from his right hind leg, and that the already emptied net gun on his tail haad taken quite a beating as well. The Vulcan seemed operational and most of the other systems were at a passing rate as well. Sighing he had dodged another bullet for the most part. He was pissed now. The emerald eyes lost their sparkle in a matter of moments. He clenched his fist at the controls and jerked them back in the direction of the Crystal Breaker, SLC in effect.::
I am going to take you down. Now.
::With a loud growl from the Fox, it sprinted as hard as it could, its mobility slightly affected by the damage, but not by much. With the claws raring to take another bite out of the Breaker's armor he jumped the Fox again, this time lashing out with both claws for a double strike. Upon landing he engaged the Vulcan and opened a heavy stream of fire on the zoid as he limped away at 275 km/h.::
She is going to pay for what she did to you my friend. Lets show her how mad we are shall we?
::The injured Shadow Fox snarled in response to his master eager to attack again.::

She saw it coming, the Crystal Comet knew instantly that he was pissed. A toothy grin displayed itself on the visible portion of the helmet as she saw that all too familiar glow coming off of the Fox's paws.
It looks like it's having a tad bit of trouble.. must of did some damage on the... hm... right back leg.
A barely battle worn blue shield raised up in an angle to take the double striking attacking as the Breaker slowly took a step back to try to take the load off the shield, letting the claws grind off light shavings of metal. She grinned at his attack but quickly frowned after he began another assault with that damn vulcan.
Trying to get away.. huh...
Turning the Crystal Breaker, she pushed it towards Ryo's Shadow Fox quickly overshadowing him with the 'behemoth's speed. The skeletal like pincer reached out and took a grab towards the torso.

::Chuckling he almost saw the attack coming. Sidestepping the fox on its good side he did not let the SLC down and slashed at the exposed pincer. Bounding back slightly, Ryo took aim with the vulcan once again and began to shell the all important vents on the Crystal Breakers side and back for a few moments before beggining to race away from the large zoid once again, still relentlessly firing away even as he retreated. He was running short of ideas.::
The damn thing is like a fortress. Just when you make a c***k in the armor it dismembers you.....
::His lip twitched for a moment as he slammed his fists against the sturdy controls. He sighed awaiting his fate. Whatever it was he was not going to roll over and die. There was no way he was going to let her take away his dignity and pride. He would take down the metallic beast. As he clenched his jaw, an interesting thought popped into his head. As merciless and cruel as it may have been, it could work. Shaking his head, he'd save it, if it came down to times of desperation.::
