After a few minutes of wandering Cole had found his dorm. He had heard that he already had one roommate. Cole wasn't sure who it was, but how bad could it be? He walked in and looked around. Seeing that no one was around, he picked a bed and sat his stuff down next to it. Cole sat down on the bed and looked around the room. It wasn't big, but it wasn't to small. He figured it'd work out for the best.
Cole decided he would unpack. So he got into his suitcase and put all his clothes into the dresser next to his bed. He then slid his suitcase under his bed, along with his guitar case. Cole stood and looked around the room once more, checking out the bathroom then walking back out and laying down on his bed, deciding to get some rest before classes started.
"...But...I guess I could...."

Mira despised how everyone seemed to be so upright and sticklers for rules, rules, RULES. Did it really matter if she went to her dorm now or later? Honestly. Why did people have to be so picky about things?
She scoffed as she arrived at the door, having taken her sweet time to get there. Before, she had even considered just skipping out on going to her dorm at all. But she figured, she might as well drop off her heavy suitcases and see if her dorm mate would be any fun to play with...
Mira smirked to herself as she unwound Tina, her pet rattlesnake, from her neck. You may say that was an interesting choice in companion, but it sure was worth it seeing the look on people's faces when they saw Tina. That and her grizzly bear, Teddy, had just gone...
Mira frowned slightly and decided not to think about that anymore as she opened the door to the dorm. She looked around, seeing clothes on a dresser. So her dorm mate was already there.
She smiled as she spotted him lying on the bed, sleeping already? Then she grinned and quietly let Tina down onto the bed, allowing her snake to slither up to her dorm mate and flick her forked tongue out at his cheek.

Cole was having a pleasent nap. That is until he felt somthing odd touch his cheek. He woke up slowly and opened his one eye to see a snake laying there next to him, face to face. He was about to panick. To yell and knock the snake back, but he had dealt with snakes before. And the last thing you wanted was for them to get angry. But he still freaked and rolled off the opposite side of the bed. Landing with a thud and looking up to see his dormmate. A cruel grin on her face. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "Uh....hi..."
"...But...I guess I could...."

Mira laughed as Tina calmly slithered off and back to her master.
"Welcome," she said with a smirk, crossing her arms and enjoying his look of terror, "hope you enjoy your stay in hell...."
She grinned and gave a small wave as she threw her own suitcase onto a bed that was close by.
"I'm Mira Brook," she said, not even bothering to ask for his name as she busied herself with unpacking the essentials for now. She didn't really care about those who would be perhaps better off nonexistent.
Mira turned back to look at her dorm mate with a look. "I hope you like snakes, cuz she'll be staying right beside you~" she said purposefully, "and you do anything out of line, you're dead. Oh, and have I mentioned that rattlesnakes are venomous?"

Cole heard what the girl was saying, but he was in disbelief. Had he really gotten the room with the pshyco muderer? He slowly stood and watched as she unpacked. He sat back down on his bed and recovered from the event. "....Cole Brunel..." He responded as she said her name. She didn't ask, but he figured she might as well know. Cole's eyes widened as he heard the snake was going to sleep on his bed. Next to him. Cole shivered at the thought. But as she continued his fear grew stronger. Not only was this Mira wanting to hurt him, but she didn't care if he died. He looked at the door and wondered how long it would take him to run down to the main office and get a new room. One a lot safer.
"...But...I guess I could...."

Mira zipped up her now mostly empty suitcase and kicked it under the bed. She then turned to face Cole fully, an innocent smile pasted on her face.
"Is something the matter?" she asked in a pretend tone of voice that almost made it sound like she cared, "you know, I heard the folks next door have a free spot... But then again, they're also very enthusiastic about their cannibalism~"
She glanced over at her snake and pointed to Tina and then at Cole's bed.
"Tina," she said firmly, as though talking to a trained dog, "bed. Sleep."
The snake hissed and promptly made her way up to the covers and then making herself comfortable, cuddled right up against Cole's side.
Mira smiled with satisfaction and sat down on her own bed.
"How old are you?" she asked, somehow sounding like some person doing a job interview.
Though, it was more like she was interviewing him to see his potential in being her latest toy.

Cole heard her speak about the students next door. That kept him from changing rooms, thats for certain. But he could still run for it. Come back when shes not here. Until he saw the snake slither to him and cuddle next to him. He took a deep breath and didn't move. Trying to keep the snake happy. He refocused on Mira's question. "Um...16...you?" Her smile and tone didn't make him feel comfotable, but he was trapped. He tried his best to look not afraid. Since he figured thats what she was looking for. But it was hard to hide.
"...But...I guess I could...."

"Wow, what a coincidence they put us together," Mira said with a wry smile, not feeling sorry for the poor guy in any way, "I'm 16 too, we're probably in the same grade. Perfect, you can be my sla-- I mean, guide around to all my classes then."
She picked up a random magazine that was lying around (it wasn't hers, so it was probably his) and flipped through the pages, despite not even taking anything from the magazine in.
"You're like... a trapped little mouse for a hungry snake," Mira said with a messed up analogy.
She gave Cole a simpering look as she licked her lips for effect. "Can't wait to eat you up~"
Almost as if on cue, her snake decided to let out a little rattle from its tail.

Cole was still in disbelief when she spoke. But he knew what she was going to say when she started with sla. It was obvious in context, but it only made him worry more. He saw that she had grabbed a magzine he was looking at on the ride here. It didn't really matter all that much. He managed to keep his fear locked up until she licked her lips. Then you coulld see it in his face. But if that wasn't enough, Cole jumped when the snake rattled. But relaxed himself, since it was poisonus, as she had said. He wasn't going to speak. Not to this person, not now.
"...But...I guess I could...."

"So," Mira said, lifting up the magazine slightly, "you read about... limestone caves? Where are you from?"
She noticed that he was definitely scared, of the snake, of her, or most probably both. The edges of her lips curved up in a sly smile.
"Oh relaaaax, I wouldn't hurt you too much on the first day.... Gotta keep you alive for longer, if you know what I mean."
Mira glanced at the clock on the wall behind Cole.
"Ehh, what's there to do now..." she muttered to no one in particular.

Cole sighed when he heard her ask where he was from. He opened his eyes and answered quietly. "...Indiana...." He muttered, keeping his head down. Cole raised his head slightly when he heard Mira speak. It wasn't exactly calming. But it made him feel safer then before. And the snake didn't seem angry. He refocused and turned to the clock. "Well....I've.....gotta go to class..." He said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his schedule. He didn't know what his classes were. So he wanted to get an idea before he left.
"...But...I guess I could...."

"Boooring," Mira said, rolling her eyes, "let's skip.
The way she said it, she wasn't even asking for his opinion, she was just stating a fact.
She stifled a yawn, leaning back on her bed a bit. "We'll go somewhere fun, Cole."
Mira looked at him pointedly. "And you're leading the way," she said, not without a slight hint of a threat in her tone of voice.

Cole looked down at his schedule when Mira spoke. Skip? Hadn't everyone come here to go to school? He figured he didn't have much a choice though. But why would he want to hang out with this girl? She wasn't exactly nice. He stood, confident in his ability to get out of here. "Um...well....you can skip if you want...I'm going to class..." He walked towards the door.
"...But...I guess I could...."

Mira scoffed, a bit reluctant to get up from the bed now. "And where do you think you're going?" she said with an edge to her voice.
She stood up, arms crossed as she walked towards Cole.
"Oh come on, you're not seriously thinking of going to class are you?" she said, snapping her fingers to get her snake's attention.
In the meantime, it looked like her snake had somehow and for some strange reason ended up slithering down towards Cole's suitcase.
'Hmm, I could do something with this.....' Mira thought to herself, getting an idea she was fairly sure Cole wouldn't like.
