Kit-Kat was bored stiff. The winter had kept her and her family cooped up inside the house for too long. She had grown up in the freaking kitchen for crying out loud! She wanted to go outside! Warm weather had to be coming soon!
The first day that was above 55 degrees was the day that she made the break for the door. She darted out into the yard, down the street and bee lined for a park she had played at as a kit, giggling all the way down.
"Finaaaalllyy!" She cried, hopping onto an empty swing set. "No more snow, no more cold! Hello sweet sunshine!" She gave herself a push and began to swing as she had done before winter began. "Weeee! I forgot how fun this was!"

Meris looked around the current town he had found himself in. After visiting with Yun for a while he had been told by morin that he needed to explore the world for a while instead of just visiting them all the time, and unfortunately he had gone against his better judgment and took a map from Morin on places to visit.
Suffice to say, the directions once again sucked and he was lost. At least this time it wasn’t some cold mountain top or in some dense forest. Life seemed to be rather busy today, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the good weather. It made him wonder if the town had been plagued by bad weather.
It was while he was walking down the street that a flash of black, purple, and blue suddenly crossed his path and went running over towards a nearby swing set. He blinked before noticing it was a female noodle. “Yep, definitely were experiencing bad weather.”

Kitteridge peered down at Meris in mid-up swing and smile as she came down to a stop. "Yeah! It's been freezing here!" She exclaimed, hopping off of the swing. "The snow made going outside so unbearable, but now it's warm again!" She giggled and extended her paw out to shake his. "My name I Kitteridge, what's yours?"

Meris blinked as he was suddenly addressed. His comment must have been much louder than he thought, however he wasn’t above talking to other people. Besides the female didn’t seem like she was any threat. He wondered how much snow it normally got, you could hardly tell though from the current temperature. Snow could be fun to move around in and see if you could stand the cold and if it wasn’t too deep or snowing to hard. However he supposed that Kitteridge was one of those that didn’t like the cold?
“Well then I’m glad it cleared up long enough for you to be able to come outside. I’m Meris Aracelia” he replied taking the offered paw.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Meris!" Kitteridge replied with a grin. "I'm super excited to be able to come outside! I feel like I've grown up in my house!" She laughed. "My dad was a little paranoid about me leaving, but I bolted as soon as I heard it was sixty degrees out here! No way am I staying inside on such an awesome day like today!" Lively eyes panned towards the map that Meris held and she tilted her head. "So, you're new around here?" She asked.

"well its a big world out there, should be plenty of stuff for you to go out and explore to make up for it." Meris replied. "Although dont worry about your dad I heard that good dads can have a touch of paranoia when it comes to their kids" while he didnt have an experience with happy families he had seen it with Yun and his ever growing family. "it is a rather gorgeous day out today. I agree."
"Ah this, well my friend said there where some good waterfalls around here so I thought I would try to see them. So i guess yeah I'm new to the area"

"Waterfalls?" Kitteridge mumbled. No one had told her that there were waterfalls around here! Oooh, she had to see them! "Would you mind if I tagged along with you, Meris? I've never been to a real waterfall! I've only seen pictures."

Meris blinked, and looked at Kitteridge. he didnt think he had ever met any one that trusting before. It was definitely something that could still surprise him. "Uh... yes you can come with me." Meris answered. a side note that her father would probably have a heart attack passed through the back of his mind, but she wouldnt get hurt. while he was a demon, It wasnt like he was a serial killer or anything like that.
"hopefully I can find it, my friend gave me a map, but his directions skills are terrible. "

"I can help you figure them out!" Kitteridge exclaimed, reaching for the map. She was super excited to explore in such beautiful weather and hang out with a new friend in the process! If there was something awesome to see, it was better to share it with someone else. "Sooo... What do the directions say first?"

Meris handed the map over; heavens knew he had been trying to read Morin’s handwriting for years. They only proceeded to get him as lost as all get out. Personally Meris knew that Morin was probably doing it on purpose to keep from Meris bothering him for as long as he could the silly hermit. Hopefully she could read it better. If not well he supposed going on an adventure with someone new wouldn’t be too horribly terrible.
“Well what I managed to get out of it was go to the west edge of town and then travel up through a foresty area to the left….” Meris stated in an apologetic tone.

"Hmm, a foresty area, eh?" Kitteridge muttered, studying the directions. Her grandfather wrote similarly to the handwriting she was trying to decipher, which made it just a little bit easier to read, and soon she peered up at Meris with a smile. "Well, that forest area isn't too far from here! It's five minutes down the sidewalk riiiight..." She turned and pointed to a sidewalk right outside the entrance to the park. "There! We'll need to follow that until we reach the forest path. You ready to go find those waterfalls?"

“Yeah that’s what I think it says. I never know with Morin. If you ever get a best friend or if you have a best friend make sure they have good handwriting.” Meris commented. However he knew that Morin did it on purpose. He had looked through papers Morin had written for himself and noticed it was excellent handwriting. He shook his head and looked over to his new companion. Well it was good she seemed to know the area. He hated wandering out lost. He looked back at the map and finally towards the sidewalk path in question. “Well lets go then, after all waterfalls are a good way to start a warm spring.”

"Alright, let's go!" Kitteridge chimed, skipping towards the sidewalk. She kept the map stuck between her collar as she walked, turning to Meris every now and then to make sure he was still there. She wouldn't want him getting lost on the way! They walked for a short while and came upon a lush forested area at the end of the sidewalk with a cobblestone path leading into it. "This must be the place!" She said, peering at the path. "It looks so pretty in there! I wonder if this is a nature sanctuary!"

Meris couldn’t help the smile that crossed his features as he watched her walk or he should say skip to the sidewalk. Kitteridge was sure different than hanging out with Morin, it was practically night and day the difference between them. However it was definitely a bit refreshing to be around someone with that much energy. He quietly followed behind her for the most part until they got to the forest and looked around at the area. The wind dancing through the trees felt fresh and lively helping along kitteridge’s idea of it being a place for nature.
“I do hope so, there is enough once gorgeous places that have been torn down to make way for other stuff. The air feels pretty nice in there.”
