It was unusually bright out that day, and Andrew didn't have any classes at the moment. He had homework, that got added to his ignored pile so he was safe from having that to do as well. So he decided to explore the woods a little, snacking as he walked along. His tail shone brightly as he walked one of the more traveled paths. Minis flew overhead but stayed safely far away. Back home, he didn't have much access to forests, so he still wasn't 100% comfortable with walking out in the woods but he had to explore them some time and today was a good enough day. Still the excess of critters bothered him a little and it was hard to see. He glanced at the trees and sighed giving up actually having good vision in the forest. What he didn't realize was that the smell of beef jerky could be picked up for quiet a ways in the woods. Maybe he shouldn't have brought something that attracted meat eaters if he didn't want them around.

Ignoring homework was always a good idea. That was Alecto’s opinion. She found it difficult to concentrate on her assignments. Plus, Megaera was rarely inclined to help the ghoul on her homework. A real darn shame, considering how much of a bookworm Megaera was underneath all her scowling and grumping.
If Megaera wouldn’t help with homework, then Alecto was just going to tromp through the woods until she felt like doing her schoolwork. That was a great idea, right? It was interesting to walk through the woods, which was nothing like her volcanic home. But it wasn’t difficult to walk around. In a way, she could even say it was easier due to the less rocky terrain. The smell of plants and fauna was also interesting.
But then there was the smell of jerky. Woahwoahwoah what a minute. Where was this jerky? Ears perked up and senses went into overdrive as she ran toward the source.
Nevermind the fact that she charged head on into Andrew.phantompanther13 LOOK I TAGGED...91283 months later...orz

He was about to bite off another bit when suddenly something large bumped into him sending him to the ground. "Hey what's the big idea?" he look up and froze, wings suddenly at attention ready to fly, if he could make them move. "D-dddog." he tried to back up.

Her tail whipped back and forth excitedly as she straddled the boil without a care. The glow of her eyes flared up as she tried to look around for the source of the smell. “Jerky? You havehave jerky?!??” No matter that the poor student was beginning to panic, his wings outstretched. The hellhound had him firmly pinned to the ground. Alecto’s face lit up when she saw the jerky and a clawed hand shot out. “Cancan I have a bitebite?” Or two. Three? A lot of bites...

"Not of me!" maybe if he tossed the jerky away he could escape. "Don't touch me." his voice pitched up and octave as he continued to scoot away, his tail accidentally brushing against a few twigs and setting them aflame. Syusaki Oh look my muse works. XD

Ears flattened against her head, Alecto puffed out her cheeks. "Nono! I smell jerkyjerky! I smellsmell iiiiit! Wherewhere is it??" Fortunately for the boil, she had yet to start acting rabid while she casually ran her clawed hands up and down his body in search of the jerky until she ripped it out of his grasp and tossed it into her mouth with a loud chomp.
The ghoul quieted down considerably, but had made herself comfortable sitting on top of Andrew while her tail flicked back and forth. Alecto licked her lips, finally remembering his plea. "Whywhy?"

He wiggles when her hands got way to close. She was practically drooling. Don't get that stuff on him. T.T Did she just... she did. Why did the dog sit on him. Did she just steal his jerky? Andrew pouted and then realized his predicament. She was on him. He struggled but there was no way to escape from his position. So he turned to the only weapon he had left. Pulling his burning tail up to her leg, adding just enough heat and fire to make her feel it, hopefully. Then again with her, it might have no effect. Still he made the attempt. "Get off."

Face it, Andrew. Dogs were suckers for a tasty slice of jerky.
“Hm?” She cocked her head at the fire demon, her tail still whipping left and right while she gently placed her clawed hands on his chest. Only when she felt a warm sensation on her leg did she realize that get off really did mean get off. “Oh!” Alecto’s ears perked up before she calmly slid off of the boil, but not without childishly grabbing for his flaming tail. “Fire! Youyou are good at it too?!” An excited hellhound immediately conjured a tiny mote above her head while the glow in her eyes flared up.

"Jack! Don't touch my tail!" he grabbed for his tail and pulled it in. Was this one actually attracted to fire? Jack, he scooted back across the ground pulling his tail further and further away, ignoring the sticks and dirt scrapping along his pants. "It was on fire this whole time." didn't she know a flame demon when she saw one? He scowled at her, and then created a small fireball in his hand, aimed at her really. "I can and will burn you." Jacken dogs. Go away. Why, why did it have to be a fire dog. Why? Why couldn't it have been something he could have just burned and chased away. No. Fire dog. He would have to keep his jerky to his room from now on.

Attracted to fire indeed. Perhaps someday Andrew would realize just how much of a pyromaniac Alecto was inside, even though she didn’t consciously acknowledge it herself. “Eh? Whywhy?” The canine made one last attempt to grab his tail, but the other demon had already pulled it out of her range.
“…oh.” She stared at him with wide eyes, a mixture of childish and sheepish realization. Yes. That much should’ve been obvious to the hellhound, but Alecto wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. Ears flattened at the threat. “Why? I’m goodgood with fire. Will thatthat really burn me?” Her lower lip jutted out, but the fear of actually being burned for once made her reluctantly slide off of Andrew. “Finefine.” Suddenly the glow in her eyes flared up and she shot out to grab his shoulders. “Butbut we can be friends rightright?” Now her tail was wagging just like a dog’s. Maybe her tongue would start lolling out too.

"No. No friends." why was she insistent on his tail. Why did he only attract dogs? "And yes it will burn you." He managed to get up and turned to climb up the nearest tree, flapping his wings now and then to get himself up and well out of tackling range. He settled on a branch and sat watching her, tail swaying down below him. "If I throw a stick will you go away?"

A deep frown. “No friendsfriends?” Her ears flattened against her head to complete the kicked puppy look. Alecto reluctantly watched him climb up a tree before whining and walking over. Unfortunately, the ghoul didn’t possess wings like he did, which made climbing up the tree a bit more difficult, and she didn’t think it was worth it to climb. Yet.
“Why notnot?! I wantwant to be friendsfriends!” She pouted, crossing her arms. And she mumbled through puffed cheeks, “…maybe.”

She wanted to be friends? Andrew didn't believe her. number one she tried to eat him. Number two, she ate his jerky. Number three, he did not miss that Maybe. ""Maybe? And what if you decide not to be friends?"

Lots of friends? Wait, didn't dogs run in packs or something? Had she mistaken him for another dog demon some how? "I'm not a dog." or was it the fire that attracted her? He flicked his tail back and forth staring at her. It did seem there was a lacking of fire students in the population.
