Ambrosia was ready for school to be over. Even though she was still in elementary school, she felt like her class was taking longer and longer with each day that passed. Summer was only a couple months away, but it felt like an eternity!
Luckily she had her senshi powers to free her from the day in and day out stupid routine. She could go anywhere as a senshi, do anything she wanted! It was great, despite what some of the older senshi and knights said about her being in danger. Sure, sometimes it was scary, but there was nothing Ambrosia and her best senshi friend Lenka couldn't do!
SO in short, Ambrosia was feeling pretty good as she wandered in between restaurants, checking the alleyways for youma and other bad guys. She could hear people talking and music whenever someone opened a door, letting her know when she needed to hide from the grown ups leaving the establishments. She was currently hiding behind a garbage can as a large party went by, wrinkling her nose at the awful smell.

Julienne was wandering around the food district of Downtown Destiny City, hoping to find something to tempt her very particular taste buds on this fine spring evening. She was just sniffing at the door of a nearby restaurant when she lifted her head, sniffing. Well…there was something on the air, and while it wasn’t something deliciously fishy, it felt very nice and…well. Good. It was some sort of senshi nearby…and she was going to go socialize.
Why wouldn’t you want to socialize? Especially when there was the chance to get something out of it…senshi’s could change into civilians after all…and they could go into the restaurants and come out with some salmon. Oh yeah. Tonight was the night to socialize.
The large cat padded over to where the signal was coming from and blinked. Why…this senshi was very tiny! Just a child? How cute! She moved behind the girl, nuzzling the back of her legs. “Well hello there. And who might you be?”

She jumped as she felt something fuzzy bump her leg, and spun around to find a cat talking to her. Oh good! Another cat! She hadn't seen one in a while, and was starting to wonder where they had all gone. Unless there was some top secret kitty meetings that they were attending. She could totally understand them going away for a while if they were working on some way to beat the Negaverse once and for all.
She waved, even though she knew the cat couldn't wave back. "Hi! I'm Super Chibi Ambrosia, Senshi of Honey!" she struck a heroic pose for a few seconds, hoping to impress the new kitty. Then she knelt on the ground, spreading her skirts to keep them from wrinkling. Her Super costume was still new, and she wanted to keep it that way.
"Who are you?"

Julienne looked up at the chibi senshi and gave a little purr. “My name is Julienne…it’s nice to meet you, Ambrosia.” She moved closer as the girl god down lower to the ground, nuzzling against her. “What are you doing out here all alone? I wouldn’t want you getting hurt…maybe I should stay with you for the rest of the evening? And then you can get me some food?”
Of course, given the fact that this senshi was so young…the prospect of getting something really delicious was looking slim. Well. She could settle for something less than perfect…she would get her salmon some other day, maybe. Hopefully.
“Senshi of honey…” The cat paused for a moment, this fact finally seeming to sink in. “Interesting…I’m a bit of a food lover….and honey is always quite delicious. How long have you been a senshi, Ambrosia?” So far that meant there was a senshi of peppers and of honey…just how many more food senshi’s were there in this city? She wasn’t quite sure, but she wanted to eat…er…meet them all. After all. Good chefs should know the variety of food available in their establishments.

"Julienne, that's a nice name!" She said, reaching out to scratch the fluffy cat's head. She looked so soft!
"I'm looking for youma. They like to show up in places where there are a lot of people, and dark spaces to hide." She looked around to make sure that there weren't any youma or grown ups inthe immediate vacinity. It wouldn't be good to have an adult find her talking to a cat while kneeling in an alley in a funny costume. There wasn't, and she looked back at Julienne whenshe asked her final question.
"Food? Sure I can get you some! But what do you eat?" Did guardian cats eat regular cat food? She once met one that ate cookies, but maybe he turned out to be a senshi that had been turned into a cat, not a cat all the time.
She paused a moment to count on her fingers. How long had it been since Pippin came and turned her into a superhero? "Uhm, I think it has been...nine months? I may be new, but I promise I do a good job! That's how I became Super in the first place!"

Julienne liked when the child scratched her head, she let her eyes close and even went so far as to making a soft purr. “Mmm…scratch behind my ears, Ambrosia. That feels nice. Much better than when I scratch behind my own ears.”
She nodded at the description of the youma. “You should be careful fighting them though. They can be tricky and awful things. Monsters, right? Nasty, nasty things…” She yawned, then drew away, stretching and flexing her claws, scratching at the ground before sitting up and looking at the chibi senshi. “I eat lots of food. But only good food. I really like salmon, but I don’t expect a child like you to be able to waltz into the type of restaurant that would sell salmon…so…I can settle for something less…gourmet, I suppose.”
The cat nodded once again. “You must be pretty good at being a senshi if you became super! I’m very proud of you.”

She adjusted her scratching position, focusing on Julienne's ears instead of the top of her head. The chibi senshi nodded, even though in her heart she wanted to shout. Everyone kept telling her to be careful! She bet no one ever told older senshi to be careful because, well, they were older. But she wasn't helpless!
She blinked when the cat mentioned salmon. Well that made sense. She was a cat after all! But where on earth was she going to get salmon? She didn't have much money with her, and stealing was wrong...
Luckily she was saved from the dilemma by Julienne herself, who said she would eat something different this time. Ambrosia sighed with relief, and she rose to her feet, dusting off her hands and knees. "I think I know what I can get you!" she said, running out of the alleyway. "Be right back!" she shouted over her shoulder as she ran across the street. The restaurant she was targeting was not as fancy as the one they stood behind, but it would have to do.
She returned some minutes later with a plastic bag around her wrist, a tomato smell coming from the plastic container within. She bent down and revealed her prize: spaghetti!
"Here you go! It's not salmon, but it's still pretty good!" she pulled out napkins and a small tin foil wrapped garlic bread. She dearly hoped Julienne liked it!

Julienne’s ears drooped just a bit when the chibi left her alone and she sighed, laying down, quite sure that she wouldn’t be coming back. Well. That was just awful. When the senshi returned though, the cat stood up, eyes alight with joy. “Oh you returned. And…”
She sniffed the air, stomach rumbling. “Oh that smells…that smells fantastic Ambrosia!” The Siberian moved closer, sniffing again, licking her mouth as the smell invaded her nose. “Is that really for me? Thank you ever so much!”
She wasn’t even sure what to do, to be honest! This wasn’t what she had expected…stale crackers or cookies or something, not spaghetti and wonderful smelling bread. It was almost as good as salmon…almost.
Julienne began eating, shutting the world out as she tasted all of the flavors in the food. And boy was it good. She let out a long and low purr as the food entered her stomach. Oh life was so good. So good indeed.

Ambrosia flushed, winding her fingers in an embarrassed way.
"I'm glad you like it." she said, petting Julienne's ears while she ate. She wasn't going to mention how she hadn't exactly paid for it. It was more of a quick swipe from the to-go counter while no one was looking. Which was odd, considering her outfit!
"Don't you have a home?" She asked rather tactlessly.

Julienne continued eating, licking at her paws after a few moments. “Well, I have a senshi I’m attached to, but I can’t really stay with her on account of her mother being rather allergic, so…I suppose I’m an outdoor cat…why? Are you offering me a home? If so, I’d have to talk to Lenka first, but I can’t see why not, if that is what you were offering.”
The time to talk was over then, and the large guardian cat stuck her face right back into the bowl of food, eating happily.
Food was good when it was cooked right…and this was something that was cooked pretty darn right.

If Ambrosia had had cat ears, they would have perked up at the mention of Lenka.
"You know Lenka!?" she exclaimed, fingers freezing in her excitement. "And she's your partner!" Oh this was wonderful news! She'd heard of cats becoming attached to people before, but a food loving cat attached to her watermelon friend. Now that was just perfect.
