
The sun was shinning cheerfully in the sky as a young colt snuck away from his sitter. Reaching the tree line he looked back and had to bite back a laugh. Today's sitter, his aunt Shiya, was covered from ear to hooves with mud. She would probably kill him once she got a hold of him but the look on her face had been worth it. With his sitter successfully distracted he continued on his way.
Rayne was nearly skipping as he walked through the forest. He had a plan for adventure and was determined to use the opportunity he was given, after all his mother usually knew better then to leave him with his aunt. Originally his mother was supposed to watch him today but she had been called away along with his grandfather leaving her no choice but to ask Shiya to look after him.
The night before his grandfather, Arctic, had told him a story about a young sorcerer he had met on his travels. The story captured the colts attention and sparked his lust for adventure. He decided that he was going to find the sorcerer and the events of that morning gave him the perfect opportunity to do so.
Reaching the river he paused, the easiest way not to get lost was to follow the river. Standing on the riverbank he looked up and down. Arctic had been traveling south so he needed to go north. With a nod to himself he headed off.
