Jonathan walks past the mountain pass from the Midgar Area and into the Grasslands Area, in his hands is the M14 EBR and stationed in a holster is his Mk. 23. As he walks, he notices how empty the Chocobo Farm is. Normally, a few Chocobo could be seen in the pen area, but none of the yellow birds were there today. Also, no lights were present in the barn and house. A little peculiar to Jonathan, but the farm isn't his objective. Then, he turns to the right and his eyes go wide, following a new structure to its heights. Jonathan's red eyes can't help but stare curiously at this new building, but then a voice resonates within his head. The same one from before.

'Evil forever increases. The Destroyer approaches. Hail the Destroyer. Submit to the Destroyer.'

Jonathan brings his left hand to his forehead as the voice continuously repeats the phrases in a ritualistic manner, before realizing that he had stepped up to the edge of the marsh where the Midgar Zolom resides. There was a slight twinging in his mind, but Jonathan is able to set the pain aside as he looks for the giant snake, but finds no trace of it. Cautiously, he takes a step into the marsh and learns that this is his intended point of arrival. Slowly, Jonathan continues forward into the marsh, the muddy water coming up to his knees as he trudges forward, keeping the M14 out of the muck.

Once halfway though, Jonathan glances forward and notices a figure at the mouth of the cave separating the Grasslands Area from the Junon Area. Upon closer inspection, Jonathan sees that the figure is, in-fact, a woman. A woman with jet-black hair and an immobile body. She's just standing there. Jonathan decides to call out to her, but the voice resonates within his head again.

'The Destroyer found it. The artificial. Artificial evil. It must submit. The Artificial. Give assistance. Artificial Evil will submit. Now.'

As soon as the voice ended its paraphrasing, the Midgar Zolom bursts from the marsh, next to Jonathan, and opens its maw in a piercing shriek, its tongue hanging in midair as the shriek ensues. All the while, facing the immobile woman at the mouth of the cave. At the sight of Midgar Zolom appearing, Jonathan had fallen back and stared up at the snake. But, his fear soon subsided, much to his surprise. Jonathan then looks between the woman and the snake, whom had ended its cry and stood by Jonathan's side, practically paying him no attention. Jonathan then starts searching for his M14 in the midst of things.

As the woman approaches, Jonathan decides to forget about the M14 and quickly jumps away from the Midgar Zolom, before deftly pulling his Mk. 23 pistol from its holster and aiming it up at the giant snake. For a moment, his eyes dart between the two, snake and woman, and a billion questions start flying through his mind. Who is the woman? Why isn't she afraid of the Midgar Zolom? Why isn't the snake even moving? What in the world is going on?! Jonathan has zero understanding of the situation at hand, and it makes him a tad worried. "H-Hey!" he starts calling out to the woman. "Who are you?"

'Kill it! The Destroyer must attack it! Attack the Artificial Evil!'

Jonathan cringes a bit as those words echo in his head, but after the pain subsides, he realizes that he must have passed out, or something, because the woman was now gone. As well as the damned snake. Well, actually, it submerged itself back into the water, but it didn't matter to him. With a sigh, Jonathan eventually finds his rifle and pulls back the charging handle, releasing the excess gray water. After emerging from the marsh, Jonathan finds out that the coastline has risen past its usual flood plane. And the waters were extremely rough. "What in the world?" he questions to himself. "What's going on, these days?".

Isabel Mercer

After leaving Midgar, Isabel had started on her journey to Junon. But not before arming her self with a long pole about the size of Aerith's fighting bow. Had she any experience with even a fighting staff or bow, she may of actually been a threat. But, this was Isabel. The women who not only couldn't kill a single fly, but also lacked in physical strength and every field of battle skill there was. But hey, at least she could heal! Now, all she had to do was work her way to the marsh lands and cross them. To bad she had no idea of what lurked inside those murky shallows. Despite all this, her determined eyes may of made any enemy think otherwise about attacking her, she had to get to Junon and ensure the safety of Roy's family if this attack on the town was true...

Calico was only riding through the plains when something went horribly awry. She had no way of detecting it, only knowing that it was getting unexpectedly cold. Really, all she was doing was going to Midgar to find the one that meant most to her at the moment. It was just a really feeling-driven moment. She hadn't even said goodbye to her mother yet. But then, that doesn't help the fact that a freaking meteor shower of Hell Blizzagas were zooming downward for her. Her vehicle swerves left and right, frantically trying to avoid the icy asteroids.

Then, of course, a freaking wall of ice erects itself from the grassy plains ahead. What. Some quick thinking was in order. If she wasn't careful, she'd get crushed to icy death. If she kept going, she'd crash into a fuel-scented icy death-splosion. So, she did what any sensible person of her ability would.

She swerves, wheels hanging for dear life as she rides up the wall. Now was a good opportunity to unlock her seat compartment before the jump. Funny, being that she jumped right she did so. It was about the height of the average two-story, so she'd be just fine if she didn't bust her legs landing. Frick.

Jumping from her scooter as items flew out of it, one in particular was what she'd save. It seemed like a simple ax head, but no. She grabs it and yanks it around before it takes the form of her beloved weapon, the Harmony Axe. "FRICKING A!!" she shouts as she falls...

Right before a jagged ice spire rises, causing her to twist to the side. She digs her axe into the ice, slowing her fall until she stopped, a hop away from ground. She takes the drop and struggles to yank the axe out of ice. She does so just in time to see her scooter drop. "Awh, dammit!" she growls. "That was a rental!"

"Hehehehehee...Gyuun~" a girl's voice sounded. Though, something wasn't right about this voice. It was a bit...metallic. "You're real fast... Too bad after this, you won't be any fast." Calico turns to find... A weird girl in a metal catsuit, a bazooka hanging in her arm.

"So, what do you think? Do you think I'm a powerful Dream Vampire?"

"...Vampire...The hell?" she mutters to herself before sighing. "Look, I've got no time for this. I'm looking for somebody."

"I know. You want that boy the doctor's examining, gyuun~!"

"...Doctor... Doctor?!" Calico repeats as she aggressively paces forth. The last time she'd caught wind of this sort of thing, she'd blown up the Shinra Company's lobby! "What doctor?! Where's Clyde?!"

"...That was his name?" the catsuit tilts her head. "I didnt know. All I know is he smelled real weird... But you, you smell like burning tires, just like him."

"Hey, I smell fine!!" A single swipe of her Harmony Axe would yield no true result. It was an ice dummy, crashing in on itself and fading up into a sort of rising snow. Calico stood perplexed, looking back to the ice wall. It was snowing all around now!

Quick thinking was implemented once more as Calico took a rock pose, a Knee Solo, as she blocked the mysterious girl's downward lunge, the front of her axe clashing with her bazooka. This was gonna be a weird fight.
