Well, Dustin was a bit drunk again. He was belligerent, at least, but he had a few drinks in him after a disappointing night out at a bar. His drinks were weak, not giving him the level of passed-out-who-knows-where drunk he was hoping form, and there was nobody he was going home with. What a shitty Saturday night.
He grumbled a bit as he fumbled for a cigarette, but with the pack he pulled out an old bar napkin with an address scribbled on it - huh. It was starting to come back to him - the boy he had met, the one who was in the Negaverse. He was pretty cute, and seemed interested in him at the time. Perhaps this night could take a turn for the better after all.
He lit a cigarette as he searched for the address, finding himself at the door just as the cigarette had burned out. He tossed the butt aside and knocked on the door, not caring about the late hours. He wanted to get laid.

Dustin was lucky -- or, perhaps, Ever was -- that Zac was out. It meant that Ever was on his own, 'packing boxes' for their move, which meant mostly sprawled out on the bed and reading one of the books that he was meant to be putting away. Much of the apartment was empty, by now. Sheets gone. The kitchen totally packed up. The closets almost empty, just a few garments hanging crookedly here and there. There were just the small details left.
The knock, however, lifted his head and made Ever frown, squinting around for a clock and finding none. Already packed, that. Well s**t.
There was just a little bit of a delay, then, as he marked his page and struggled up to his feet, grumbling and limping his way toward the door. Unlikely it was Zac, since Zac never forgot his keys. A landlord? A lost Lieutenant?
At least his expression relaxed as his eyes settled on Dustin, leaning in the open doorway. The alcohol came off of him in waves, and Ever definitely recognized that smell. Familiar and strangely reassuring. He made an amused noise. "Well. Too drunk to get to your own apartment?"

"Something like that, but not so drunk I can't go for another," Dustin smirked as he crossed through the threshold without so much as giving it the thought that Ever might not want him to come in. He did recall him saying he can come over at any time, so as far as Dustin was concerned that was a permanent invitation, barring no stipulations. "Why don't you make me something?" It wasn't until then that he actually looked around at the place - things boxed up, emptied out. ...Maybe it was a bad time. Then again, as long as there was some form of surface and a place to crash, then he could do everything he was coming here for. "You just moving in? Or out?"

At least Ever didn't look offended; he stepped out of the way as Dustin eased past, hesitating just a moment before he nudged the door closed and followed, shoving his hands in his pockets. The place really was a wreck, and Ever wasn't doing much to fix it. Oops. At least Zac was on the ball.
"We're moving out." It came out dry, his head cocked to the side, trying to remember if there even was any booze left. No. One of the first things he'd packed up, so that they'd definitely had it at the new place. He'd been drinking there just the other night --
"New place Zed figured out. There might be some openings if your living situation's still a problem." It could have sounded priss, proper, out of another mouth. From Ever, it was still just a little bit sarcastic.

"I don't have any money, bro," Dustin grinned as he staggered around the area some more, approaching Ever slowly. "Unless you're offering me some free housing." "You know, I could actually use a bed to crash in for the night," he said, placing his hand on Ever's hip, slowly creeping around his waist to his a**. Dustin wasn't one for subtlety. ******** subtlety. "You think you got a spot in your bed open?" A little squeeze.

Oh. Well. Attractive young men hadn't exactly been throwing themselves at Ever, recently, and it was enough of a surprise that he took exactly a half step back -- a half step back that put his spine against the door and kept him from retreating any further. It definitely wasn't a bad surprise, and while he caught Dustin's wrists before they could go anywhere else...he didn't drive him away, either.
"You're going to get yourself in trouble, honey." It stuck in his throat a little, lacked his usual glib attitude. He should have tossed his head, maybe, or raised an eyebrow and grinned. Instead, he just looked distracted.

"Trouble, huh?" That sounded like a 'yes, please' to Dustin's ears. Hell, it was practically a turn on for the boy. "Well don't just tease me with it," he smirked. He tried to move his hand over to Ever's front, to place his palm on his chest and then slide lower, but there was a bit of weak resistance on his wrist while Dustin leaned in to make out with the older boy.

His shirt bunched under Dustin's touch tugged and folded over his navel, and for a moment -- longer than he would admit later, but briefer than he'd remember -- Ever just let it happen. Unfamiliar mouth, an unfamiliar touch, an edge of fervor and frustration that he definitely didn't get often out of Zac. Dustin was tall, too, leaning against him in a way that made Ever's heartbeat pick up and his passive acceptance turn to something else.
It was just a kiss. Admittedly a fierce kiss, hungry on both ends. Not like kissing a stone one bit.
But then the fingers brushed lower, against the waistband of his pants, and Ever finally caught himself. Too far, that, his hands tightening around Dustin's wrists to pull them up and away, and his chin finally lifting to break the kiss so that he could work to catch his breath.
Crap.

"Something wrong?" he asked as the kiss abruptly ended. Well, that was steaming up to be something hot only to fizzle out into nothing. He was disappointed, to say the least, as he wasn't feeling any less eager to keep the night going. He hoped that the boy just stopped to get a drink or something, but he suspected that was the end of their touch and play session for the night.

For some reason, chewing on his answer to that question all Ever could think of was Drew calling him whipped -- and the fact that, well, it was kind of true. Weirdly true. He closed his eyes and set his head back against the door for another moment to gather himself. It'd be so easy to just say <******** it and dive in --
"Yeah, sorry. Unless Zed's down for getting in on this action, I have to play monogamous." Was it 'playing', though, if it was true? He cracked his eyes and peered down at Dustin's face. "You want another drink, though, since you're here? Or coffee, maybe..."

Ugh, monogamy always got in the way of all kinds of fun. "Sure, I'll take whatever," he shrugged. If he wasn't going to get any action, it didn't really matter if it was coffee or more liquor. Either way, the night was a bustless bust. He backed away from Ever to give him some space, looking around at the packed boxes some more. "So what is this place you're moving to? You said there's some openings?"

"It's, um. Zed's managing it. It's for all the costumed coworkers, if you catch my drift." Ever just needed one more lingering moment: drawing in a breath, and swiping at his hair before sliding away toward the kitchen. Where, of course, all the coffee was packed up. And the liquor too, he thought, unless he could finda forgotten beer can or two.
s**t.
"...how about tea instead?" This came out slowly, and he moved to grab the teapot [one thing still definitely unpacked] to start boiling water whether Dustin said 'yay' or 'nay'.

"Whatever is fine really," Dustin repeated as he looked for a place to take a seat, sticking around more for company than for a drink. He settled for sitting on the counter in the kitchen. He watched Ever heat up the water, checking out his a** for a moment. It was a good thing the place obviously had water still, since he'd probably need a cold shower before he crashed for the night. "I don't have a job for an apartment, unless this some sort of godlike free living situation," he scoffed at the impracticality of that. Then again, at the shout of a few words, he was able to transform into a long-haired spell-caster of hurricane-type magic, so impracticality didn't mean impossibility these days.

He knew how to brew a cup of tea, at least; hot water on and two mismatched mugs set aside, bags propped up in them. Ever leaned in the doorway and considered Dustin back -- his expression distracted, and it was hard to tell exactly what kind of distracted it was. Regret? Thought? Disappointment?
"Zed's the GK, so he runs it. I think we could set you up, if that's what you need. Though, you said you were, staying with someone...?" He folded his arms, slowly, and shot one look back. No water boiled that quickly. He could dream, though.

"Yeah, I'm staying with Labyrinthite," Dustin shrugged. "He's a good dude, but it'd be nice to have my own place to chill. It's kinda weird there with his mom around, and Eos is there too. Just means that I always have to go somewhere else if I want to have some fun. I'd have to be a ******** idiot to turn down a free place of my own, unless this is a bunk-bed kind of situation." Dustin reached into his pocket and pulled out his pack of cigarettes - just one left. "Do you care if I smoke in here?" he asked, already lighting up the cigarette, uncaring for an answer. If they were moving out then it shouldn't matter, right? He took a long drag and exhaled out towards the ceiling.
