This area consists of the plains, beaches, and the wasteland (the one surrounding Midgar) around Kalm and Midgar. From North Northeast, to West, is water. The opposite boundary is marked by the mountain range.

⊹⊱⋛⋋ Jonathan Gurmand ⋌⋚⊰⊹ ✱✲✳《The Serpent's Host》✳✲✱ {{Enter from Midgar City Edge}} Jonathan jogs along the wasteland at a steady pace, trying to find any sign of the fishing boat, along the western coastline. All of a sudden, a transport truck comes along his side and stops, the driver rolling his window down before leaning out of it. "Hey, kid, what do you think you're doing out here, alone?" he asks, a sense of gruff obviously present in his tone. Jonathan starts to catch his breath, after running for quite a long while, before speaking up. "I was making my way to the fishing port... Just along the west coast there." Jonathan answers as his chest heaves up and down. He may be a trained soldier, but he's still just a kid. The answer obviously sparked something in the driver's head, as he arched an eyebrow at Jonathan. "That's where I'm dropping off all this here luggage. I'm guessing some of your bags are here?" he asks. Jonathan's eyes widen in surprise. Luck is on his side, today. Jonathan nods before asking "Mind if I take my stuff with me? Turns out today isn't my day." "Go ahead. I won't stop ya." Jonthan nods a thanks before walking to the back of the truck and opening the bed. He clambers up and searches among the various bags for his satchel and rifle cases. Upon spotting them, he tosses his satchel over his shoulders and takes the rifle cases in his hands. He drops to the ground, closes the bed, then pats the side of the truck. "[#6b3d1e]All set." Jonathan says before the driver takes off. With the cases in hand, Jonathan makes his way to a nearby stone and places them flat on the ground. He opens the one on the left, the shorter of the two cases, and reveals a disassembled M14 EBR. He connects the respective parts together, creating the full rifle, and attaches the hybrid optics on the upper receiver's picatinny rail. He slings the rifle over his back before closing the case. He picks up the two cases and starts walking in an easterly direction. Currently Equipped:Mk. 23 Cst. {48/48} M14 EBR Cst. {25/25} Notes:Mk. 23 Cst. currently has no RDS and Suppressor equipped. M14 EBR does not have taped magazines, nor is equipped with the sniper scope. {{Exit to Grasslands Area}} ₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞₪∞۞

A fiery streak lit up the night sky, before exploding into a mass of flame and tiny embers that would float into the wind for mere seconds before fading out. The screech of some form of creature sounded, and all was suddenly silent again. All but the waves lapping up to the sand could be heard now as Terra walked along the beach. She barely even stopped to take out the roaming monster, as though it were nothing to her. Which, it really wasn't. Monsters around these area's were beyond weak, especially to one as trained and skilled as Terra.
Rather anything had tried to attack her again, she likely would be able to take them down with little trouble, for now, the half-Esper women sat down into the soft sand, her hand raised as a small flame gathered there in the palm of her hand as to give her some light. "...Goodness...I've never felt this before..What is this feeling that drives me away from the others? " She asked herself quietly. There were still a lot of things she had yet to experience, embarrassment was one new such feeling to her, while at the same time there was this nagging feeling of guilt. She wanted to apologize to Naosis, but he took off before she could really get that chance.

Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess We seek it thus, and take to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface The wandering soul knows no rest. ════════════════════════
Genesis landed outside the city on a bluff overlooking Midgar. He tucked his wing close to him, staring off and thinking. His thoughts drifted to what Tauriel had told him, and his gaze narrowed. So, ShinRa was back to business as usual, and apparently the puppy was leading an insurgency against the company. All in an attempt to save the planet. He closed his eyes, trying to think as he took a seat along the ledge. It was too obvious the goddess had woken him to deal with the issue at hand, but where to begin? Was he to just start another guerilla war against his former employer? He shook his head, auburn strands brushing his forehead. No, that way wasn't the right way to go about doing things. No, the best thing to do was gain as much information as he could about this Beast that Tauriel had discussed. That, and see if he could track down his old friends. He didn't know how Sephiroth would react to finding out that Genesis was not only alive, but cured of his madness. Given their past relationship, he was certain it was going to end badly. Angeal was another matter entirely, and he had no idea where to even go looking for his childhood friend. No, the best place he figured he could start was of course with the puppy. Fair at least could be useful for information.
His goal set, he rose. Casting one last glance at Midgar, he was certain that this would not be the last he would see of the metropolis. At the very least, he was going to check in on ShinRa as often as he could. He didn't trust that the company could be left unchecked for long. He gathered the things he had left in a cover of rocks and then looked back to the city again. He slipped into the coat he always wore and cinched Rapier and its sheath on his belt. Making sure his materia was already set, he took to the skies again, this time determined to find the puppy. Zack was probably not going to appreciate the sudden visit from his former adversary, but Genesis wasn't going to leave this. He had a duty to perform as a protector of Gaia, after all.

Ben Raine The man pulled his black cloak down from over his head, he stared at this city with its huge weapon peering out over the walls. He walked slowly to the edge of the hill that looked over the wastes of Midgar. Off to his side there laid a large, rusty sword wedged in the ground supported by a couple of stones. He thought it must have been a memorial to some hero, or a dear friend but honestly didn't care too much about the tarnished steel blade. He sat with his legs dangling off the edge of the overlook. He hadn't had anything to eat for the last two days. He knew he could get supplies in the city maybe some work, but he was used to the fact that he would never be welcome to stay in the city. He looked over the wastes, the wind had picked up blowing the dust. He sighed as he stood, blinking the dust out of his eyes. He pulled the hood from his cloak up back to its earlier position over his head and walked towards his crimson bike, Lady Luck. He turned the key and the engine roared to life. "Come on girl, not much further He said to the bike while stoking the side, feeling the card suits he carved into the side. He revved the engine once before flying down the hill towards the metropolis in the distance

After leaving Midgar City, Marie found herself wandering across the plains, as the skies above began to change bright orange and pink in color, the sun was quickly setting to create the gorgeous colors above. It would be dark soon, but that was fine with her. One of her favorite things to do was sitting in the grass, sands of a beach, or even watching the stars from the balcony of her bedroom. Her destination was the shores of Midgar, where she hoped to see her mother. She had talked so much of Midgar in her time in the future, she had hoped that maybe if she was at sea, this would be where she would be coming in from. Unfortunately, it was just hope. She may be waiting here for some time, until it became obvious she wasn't coming and she would have to leave here next. As the young girl stepped onto the sandy beach, she sat down a little ways from the water, sure to not get wet unless the tide came in suddenly! As minutes went by, the darker it would become until the sun had completely set. The stars and shining moon were all that was left to see in the skies now, so as to get herself comfortable, Marie laid back in the sand to stare up at the stars above in silence.............

Mordi"Mordi doesn't... wanna be alone..." The speeding chunk of earth would come to a sudden stop, which might send poor Clara flying several feet in front of them. Though Mordi didn't react too much. "...Marie..." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Danger..." And what she was referring to was the squadron of... troops? that went to Marie now. Were they ShinRa? It was possible, but it seemed like that wasn't exactly true. They raised their weapons. "Serenitian. Seizing." The one in the lead said, taking a step forward. "..." A ball of earth shot from the ground, going to Mordi's hands. She tossed it to the ground, and it began rolling forward. She walked with it at a quickened pace, behind it, pushing it forward as she walked. As it rolled on the ground, it began to grow in size, and began to speed up. "Rumbly rumbly rumbly..." Once it grew to her height, she hopped on top of it, running backwards atop it as it continued to grow in size. "Rumbly rumbly rumbly...!" The ground around the soldiers and Marie began to shake. "What is that...??" The soldiers began looking around, confused, until.... they saw a giant ball of pain coming right at them. "Rumbly rumbly rumble...!!" And just like that, the ball of earth ran the soldiers clean over, and Mordi fell off it, landing on her back in, again, a less-than-graceful way. The ball would continue a few feet, shrinking in size until it fell back into the ground. Turning her head slightly as she laid there, Mordi looked at Marie. "Marie... Mordi is happy to see you..." She said with a small smile. (( OOC: ))

Marie turned her head to the side a little, when it came to sand, it was near impossible to really hear if anything was near by, the sand did well to hide any sound of food steps. However, it didn't hide the slight rattle of weapons and armor, had they had any on that might give away their positions, and while little Marie wasn't very good at minding her surroundings most the time, there were those her young ears could pick up on when it was as obvious as these few pointers were. The little teal-green haired girl slowly sat up, her blue eyes coming to rest on the squadron before her. "...." And she just...smiled. Her innocent smile topped with a soft little yawn as she rubbed her sleepy eyes could melt the hearts of any dark soul...
At first, through the darkness, she thought these men were possibly knights sent here to watch over her! "...H-Hello...Do you want to watch the stars with me, Mr.Knights? " She asked ever so innocently and cutely, her cuteness was a natural ability.
But everything would soon change in the matter of seconds, as the sudden shaking ground around herself and the 'knights' began. Blinking, her blue eyes slightly wide, was this...? "...Big sister! " Ah, she didn't expect what happened next, in the next few seconds following, little Marie would catch the sight of the large rolling ball as it swiftly ...rolled over the many men! "...??" Lucy for Marie, it wasn't at all a bloody scene, with slightly soft dirt rolling over them, they weren't smashed in a terrible way, but they were down for a bit. Possibly unconscious for a while. By now, Marie was up on her feet, a step taken to better look at the men all there on the ground, slightly one with the earth there. "...Not Knights?" She asked quietly. Upon better inspection, she would start to see the 'evil' weapons at their sides, their uniforms were nothing like that of ether Serenitian or Renais Knights. Looking away from them now, Marie turned to her older sister,Mordi. Her smile returning as she ran over to her, and dropped down to pounce her into a hug! All the while careful enough not to hurt her. She didn't weigh a whole lot! "Mordiiii! " She giggled, hugging her poor sister to death.
Meanwhile, in the background of it all, a certain silver-haired, prism-caped teen laid there in the sand, after having pulled half her head out of it, while her hands and arms were still kind of burred in it. If one was to look closely, they might see a glisten in her eyes as she quietly, silently, pouted there. This was so not Clara's day!

Mordi"Mordi doesn't... wanna be alone..." "...Not knights." Mordi repeated in a more declarative tone. "Hello, Marie..." Mordi said softly with a smile. "Mordi missed you..." She sat up slowly as Marie was on her, so she was sort of sitting in her lap. "Is Marie okay? No bad people hurt you?" Only people who had a death wish, like that Reaper earlier, should mess with Mordi's family. Considering her powers, along with her mother and father's, they were quite a terrifying family to have to battle against. "Where's Niki? Not with you..?" She had thought for sure her twin would have been with Marie. Then again, they must have ALL been separated, not just Mordi. "Mother and father..." They were near here. At least, the past versions of them. In that rather large city nearby. Niki didn't want them to reveal themselves until the two were married. Mordi pouted. That hardly seemed fair. But at the same time, she'd rather not get scolded by Niki, so she would listen. ...For now. "...?" She glanced to the side. "Clara... why are you just laying around...?" Poor Clara... "Mordi found Marie... isn't Clara happy to see Marie..?" One had to wonder why Clara had agreed to become Mordi's guardian, and even more so, why she had continued to be it. (( OOC: ))

Purple Heart"I'll show you the power of a Goddess!!" "Looks like I'll be counting on you once again, Noire." Neptune, who had transformed into her CPU form, Purple Heart, said, readying her blade."Lucky you." Black Heart, Noire's CPU form, said confidently, drawing her own blade. "Remind me again why we can't tell the dozens of overpowered Avalanche members in this city that there are a horde of monsters coming here?""There's a festival going on. They did just fight the Beast. They've earned the break.""We fought the Beast too, idiot.""Are you getting cold feet, Noire? Don't tell me this measly number of monsters intimidates you.""Ha! I could take them with my eyes closed." Her silver hair flowed in the breeze. "If anything, you should go join the festivities. I can handle this alone, you know!""Let's make it a contest, then. Whoever kills the most wins.""Oh, you'll regret challenging me. Winner gets to tell the loser what to do for a month!" They clearly took this very seriously. With that, the two raised their blades, and took off through the air, going to meet the small army of monsters head-on...
"Ugh, more keep showing up." Black Heart grunted in annoyance. "What is with these stupid things?!""They seem to have been adversely effected by the negative energy of the Beast. We've seen similar situations. Remember the months after the Deity of Sin was defeated in our world were like this.""That is true." She sighed. "So this probably isn't excluded to this area. Monsters across the world have probably become more aggressive.""I think that would be a safe guess," Purple Heart slashed, cutting a group of monsters clean in half. "Though the monsters around Midgar will be the most effected, since this is where we battled the Beast." They might not all attack towns, like these seemed to want to, but they would certainly be more aggressive, and probably more powerful. Travelers would have to be cautious. "Ha!" Purple heart cut through the last monster, standing up straight, and taking a deep breath. "Three-hundred seventy-six." She said."What?! That's the same number as me..." Noire growled. "I can't settle for a tie! One of us has to be the winner. And by that, I mean, I WILL win!" Her eyes narrowed. And suddenly, beside them, a large crash sound could be heard. "?!" The two flew back quickly, only to see... a massive Iron Giant standing there. "What the?! That thing isn't supposed to spawn here!""I've only ever heard of them inhabiting the cave in the north..." Purple Heart grunted. "This complicates things even further...""But this is good news! This can be our tiebreaker.""Is that really the only thing on your mind, Noire?""Spoken like a true loser. I wonder how Nepgear will react when she sees you're my slave for the month." She smirked snidely."Tch." Purple Heart raised her blade. "It will be Uni's reaction to look forward to, because you will be serving me for the next month!" This is how these two always were. And, naturally, they both charged the massive monster without a second thought... "Go down!""You're dead!" They both struck the Iron Giant after a short battle, and it split in half, disintegrating afterwards. "Looks like I won!""No matter how you look at it, we both struck at the same time. This is a tie." Purple Heart sighed."Bah! I refuse to accept this. There's only one way to settle this! Let's go to an arena. You and I will battle!""I suppose it has been too long since I've shown you who's in charge." Purple Heart put a hand to her hip. "This area is cleared of monsters for now, so let's go. Marvel City?" There wasn't a monster in sight for miles on end, it seemed. With how many they killed, it might be a while before they become a problem for Midgar again."I'll race you there!" And she took off, followed momentarily afterwards by an irritated Purple Heart... (( OOC: ))
