Yuu was born and grew up in the demon realm. He had a rigid life, not bothering to have friends. He was far more interested in the animals of the human race, whom he could talk to freely. Yuusuke would spend hours with them, playing and talking until he finally had to go home. Luckily Yuu was given the opportunity to go to a human school for a year. He hid his powers well since he had learned to control them at 8, and he got to talk to as much animals as he wanted. But, everyone thought Yuusuke was weird and anti-social, so they kept away from him. Yuu was bothered by it of course, since he wanted to get to know humans. But everyone kept denying his chances of friendship, and finally Yuu gave up. He built a barrier from everyone so that his demonic heart wouldn't be hurt again.
Some years later, Yuusuke had developed an artistic hand, and he drew. He drew the animals he was always with. He drew flowers and even some manga. But he kept all of them to himself, so no one knew about his art skills. But one day a man came to his demonic home. He discovered Yuu's picture with ease and praised him of such fine drawings. Yuusuke ended up falling in love, which is how he discovered he was a homosexual. For the next few years, Yuusuke and the man had a relationship, and Yuu was happy. All to soon though, the man passed away. He had died from a gang fight, and Yuusuke was left by himself once more.
After his mourning, Yuusuke left the demon realm at 15, and lived in the human realm. He ended up going to a human high school and becoming a delinquent. Through his high school days it seemed like he was either fighting or drawing, since Yuu had made enemies and because he wanted to honor his lovers death by drawing.
At 19, Yuu received his letter of acceptance and ended up in The Academy of Night. Now he lives in one of dorms, being a laid back person and fighting when necessary or when someone decides to pick a fight with him. Yuusuke doesn't want to lose someone dear to him again, so he puts his barrier up so people won't get close to him. But, Yuu really hopes that someone could help him break that barrier.
𝕮𝔥𝔞𝖗𝔞𝔠𝔱𝔢𝖗 𝕱𝔩𝔞𝔴𝔰:
Yuu will sometimes severely hospitalize his opponents in fights. He doesn't know how to interact with people well and he his barrier, so he can seem cold and distant and weird since he can talk to animals.

Katashi Shin was born in the land of the dead. He grew up around dead people, became friends with dead people, and even purified dead people. Katashi was taught many things as part of being a Reaper. He was taught how to kill humans in order for their souls to be directed to the right place. He could wield a scythe at 4, and had mastered it at 15. But along with his remarkable abilities, Katashi was given the gift and curse of being a clairvoyant. He could predict the future, which caused him to have painful headaches. He saw everything bad and everything good that was going to happen, and he didn't know how to stop it. So Katashi fell into a depressed state, almost as if he was shell, and didn't talk for quite some time.
50 years had passed before Katashi talked again. And the only reason he could was because of his lover. His name was Rintarou, and he had somehow found his way into Katashi's heart. Yes, Katashi was a homosexual. He had known for a long time, and had embraced it. Katashi and Rintarou were a very happy couple. If you could describe them in a sentence, it would be that opposites attract. Katashi was anti-social, while Rintarou was energetic and a happy person. Katashi loved Rintarou very much, and Rintarou loved Katashi just the same. But one day Rintarou suddenly disappeared. Katashi didn't know why, but he had left, and Katashi felt a heavy weight on his shoulders once more.
After a long time, Katashi decided to just Reap. He was a Reaper, so why not do as he was born to do? And Katashi did just that. He Reaped countless souls. He killed many, and his hands were forever blood-stained. Katashi didn't regret a thing, and Katashi was an anti-social person, so many did not get close to him to calm his storm. While Katashi Reaped, he met countless gods that were stuck with immortality just as he was. As so Katashi learned about Mythology as the humans called it.
After a 1000 years of his life and only looking like he was in his 20's, Katashi received a letter from The Academy of Night asking him to be the Mythology Teacher. Katashi wondered how they knew about him, but he accepted anyway. He became the Mythology teacher and quickly moved to an apartment near the school. Katashi knows Rintarou isn't dead. He is searching for him, hoping his love will come to back to bandage his broken heart.
𝕮𝔥𝔞𝖗𝔞𝔠𝔱𝔢𝖗 𝕱𝔩𝔞𝔴𝔰:
Katashi stresses that humans don't understand that myths are real. Since Katashi doesn't like people much, he is very anti-social and gives off a bad aura. Katashi still works his job as a Reaper, so if someone's time is up, he will not hesitate to end their life. ( If anyone wants to make Rintarou I would be very pleased. Just inform me if you do.)
