The idea is the Hatetalon flock, which was the largest flock in the northspring territories, Began to confront other Flock leaders, giving them the following conditions: Either join under Edana and the hatetalons and become a commander or part of the council, Face her in one on one combat to the death for leadership, or have your entire flock crushed under talon..
In this situation, the members of the Northspring Flock could come from different cultural set ups and could have different settings/specialties and backstories.
As an example if we agree to this set up:
Quote:
My girl Bloodclaw could have been from the.... Dustwallow Flock, which lived near the desert, sheltering in what became the Bloodslash arena and scavenging from the nomadic Badieh Badawie herds, their leader taking the lions share of everything for herself and her own daughters, leaving the rest of the flock underfed and weakened to insure her families security as leaders by keeping the rest of their flock weakened. When Edana and the Hatetalons/what Flocks they had already absorbed into their number came, their leader (Lets call her Adhil Dustwallow) Refused the conditions, openly stating that she'd rather they all die than cave under them.
Bloodclaw, perhaps Adhil's daughter, then confronted her mother quite forcably and audibly, tackling her to knock her from her place of standing, and after riling her people up until they were cheering and crying for Adhil's blood, she'd then kill her mother and then swear fealty under Edana while it was still hot on her skin, seeing how The unified Northspring flock was far superior in strength to their own, and she denounced her name as Dustwallow and took the "of Northspring" title.
The Dustwallow sub-culture would be dominated by warriors, raiders, and scavengers, and fairly ruthless, but also extremely loyal to the Hatetalons due to the fact they benefited immensely from the absorption and had willingly joined their numbers.
It'd only require a little retooling of her story to make this work, and really it'd be optional for those -- most could just be from the hatetalons if they dont want to change their history any and/or have the hatetalon name.
What do you guys think?
