The South Gate/Red Light District - Barton This portion of Barton Town is often consider the more 'manly', if not nitty gritty area. Containing more than your handful of seedy pubs, and even shadier characters, it is undeniably the part of Barton that never sleeps. The Red-Light district is home to what is usually considered 'illegal' activity, such as gambling, fight clubs, c**k fights, you name it. Prostitution is also a common part of everyday life. Red lanterns as well as lights decorate the streets. Tourists are usually advised to stay out of this area after dark. The most famous building in South Gate is the aptly named 'Love Shack', an underground club catering to...well, find out for yourself.

Kit raised an eyebrow, how did he get here? He was chasing after that spirit... And now, it was nowhere to be seen. What he did see, however, were a bunch of scantily clad women on the streets, as well as men who seemed to be like the women, until you looked closer. A few girls tried to seduce him, but he wasn't in the mood for that kind of excitement for now...

It was obviously not a women. With thick legs and even thicker arms - a nice bushy goatee and way too much blue mascara. But oh did this guy slither up to Kit like he owned the joint.
And maybe he did.
"Hey baby...wanna get some of this...?" Lots of rubbing on his leg as he hiked up the slit of his blue dress just a tad to show off some leg beneath the black hose.
It was hairy.

"Not really...." Kit murmered, trying to kick the man off his leg. "Look, have you seen some spirit around?" He kept trying to get out of the man's embrace without any luck. Gods, he needs to hurry up, for all he knew, it might be already back among the spirits already.

The guy seemed offended. With one hand holding a long dainty cigarette holder and the other tapping at his lips. It was meant it be sensual.
It really wasnt.
"Umm...nah huh. I aint seen nothin' like that." Eyebrows batted tamely. "But I'm sure I could be..." Unfortunately the words got cut off as a limo drove past.
And just like that the guy was gone - brilliant purple boa dangling behind him as he ran on too tall high heels.

There he was. Wasn't hard to spot the guy with fox ears... Or the hooker that appeared to be part fox her...himself. Gamma knew what this was. Whores dotted the streets as he slowed to a walk in the sudden realization. There weren't even goodlooking whores.

That was strange, but very convient. Kit smiled and ran off to somewhere else, he was going to have to stop soon. He was getting tired.

Across the street from Gamma was a flashing sign. Big bold neon purple letters with the T blacked out with a dead bulb.
Rafters
Below that was some smaller print apparently painted onto the wall itself.

Some whore with facial hair approached, and asked something Gamma didn't understand. And so, give a universal answer, one he knew in Gaian. "Piss off, whore." Stated simply, as Gamma turned to see what else was in the area, besides men in women's clothing.
S/he pulled a knife. From where, the world may never want to know. Gamma responded with a lazily extended gun arm and aimed at a place that would answer many questions. Or more importantly, one.
He fired and a dull whump followed. The whore's face turned red as the round bounced heavily from his crotch and to the ground.
Question answered.
He noticed the sign across the street and was immediately disinterested in staying in the area any longer. Gamma didn't know why.

Aside from the prostitutes and drug dealers, this place felt just like home for Athan. Fist fights in the alleyways, various muggings and theft around. It was the sort of order that accompanied lawlessness, if such a thing was possible.
Survival of the fittest, and Athan didn't really feel threatened at all.
He clapped his hands together as he stepped onto the sidewalk, slowing his pace in order to allow his eyes to take in all the sights.
"Lot of shitholes to dig through. Might as well get started."

In and out of various bars, nightclubs, and places of questionable integrity, Athan had yet to find any sort of information concerning the petals.
Back on the streets, Athan walked with his head down, hands jammed into the confines of his pockets. It wasn't until he was confronted by two teenagers with switch blades did he finally raise his eyes.
"Give us your money, pal."
"Kid, I've had a really long day, and I don't feel like dealing with you right now."
"I'm not kidding around!"
"Neither am I."
A hand came up, his palm planting itself directly against the kid's face. He pushed forward, and the kid stumbled backwards and away. Athan continued on his walk, his eyes locking upon the ground once more.
The heart of a champion, kid. Why are you surrendering already?
He shook his head. What the hell was he thinking? Giving up already. Hell, there was still plenty of time left.
He moved his hands from his pocket, lifted his head, and continued on his way. Heading West, towards the Guild sector.
