Unlike some of the other senshi, Athene didn’t have a particularly fixed patrol route, although he vaguely recalled the area he was wandering today as being one of the nicer areas. It wasn’t one that he’d visited often, but the dark-haired senshi recalled occasionally picking up cupcakes from a little bakery nearby as his civilian counterpart. It had been a quiet evening so far, few out and about as Athene sipped at his hot drink of choice – a white chocolate mocha – opting for the extra caffeine hit from the espresso over the hot chocolate that he’d been buying lately. The dark-haired senshi was making the most of the quiet – despite only recently being back on the patrol beat Athene knew from experience that ‘quiet’ didn’t mean that craziness wasn’t lurking round the corner – this was Destiny City after all.

This was an area that was, for now, a safe zone for Chaldene. Perhaps it would become a fixed area to find him, due to how safe and comfortable his own neighborhood was. It wasn't like he'd plan for that to be but it was simply a likely thing to happen, he was all about comfort and emotional safety. It was Friday night and he was out and wandering the sidewalks. He'd gotten himself a soda earlier, the kinda which came in a glass bottle, and he was sipping from the bottle as he walked along.
Walking past a little independent bookstore Chaldene could feel something. It was something he'd gotten the feel of in the past few nights. Someone, a senshi or maybe one of those knights, was in the area. At least it wasn't this enemy he'd been told about, he really did want a run in with them. Now, should he stop and see if they'd come to him or should he continue his walk? Pondering this for a moment he continued on his way than.
He had no way to know who this was or if they'd come his way so he would continue. He had no set path but rather was just set about wandering his neighborhood like a walking little glow stick, even though only two parts on his uniform glowed. The fact remained he glowed! And he stood out, though no one yet had realized he was a supposed terrorist - which was a good thing.

It hadn’t taken too long for Athene to realise that he wasn’t the only Order person out and about in the area tonight. The dark-haired senshi had picked up on the aura as he walked past a small greetings card shop. If he was to guess Athene would say that it was that of another senshi, the aura different to one that he associated with Knights, and it didn’t feel all that far away either. Close enough to potentially check out. For a brief moment or two Athene hesitated as he contemplated whether or not to try and attempt to find the source of the senshi aura that he’d picked up on. Not being particularly wedded to his own company eventually decided him and Athene tried his best to try and walk in the direction that he thought the aura might be coming from.

Chaldene had stopped for a moment, watching one of his neighbors who was having a late night walk with their dog, and a bit of a long walk. It seemed the man had been lying when he'd gotten into a fight, according to his mother, at the small local grocer about his dog going to the bathroom and the sidewalk and it being left there. The man was walking away, leaving the dogs...mess behind. His mother had said that Mr. Polkin had denied it when accused of the action. While he didn't much care it was amusing, sort of a look into the secret life of his neighbor, who had been looking all around while his dog had been doing it's business. Chaldene had ducked into a small alley between two brownstones, where garbage was kept, in order to watch his neighbor.
"Liar..." He whispered to himself, a smile in place. It actually was amusing really to see private things. Stepping out of the alley he continued on his own walk. Not heading toward the signature on purpose and yet he was headed toward it all the same.

Tracking down auras was not by any stretch a perfect science, the whole thing more often a trial and error thing – unlike GPS which at least came with handy notices to let one know when they had headed off track. Luck however seemed to be on Athene’s side this evening, or mayhaps the other senshi had just been closer than he realised, either way it didn’t seem like he’d been walking for that long before he came across the source of the aura – a senshi in blues and silver, although their outfit certainly looked almost normal as outfits went. “Good evening” he called out to the other, his voice friendly if somewhat on the quiet side.

Normal was why he liked this outfit, and why he felt it safe to walk down the sidewalk, one side of his uniform lifted up so his right hand could slip into the pocket of his pants. It was a very casual appearance he had, even as he toyed with the backing of one of his facial piercings. Compared to the other senshi, who had just turned up in front of him, Chaldene looked a lot more normal.
Still new, oh so very new he hadn't felt the approach of the senshi. He just knew they'd been in the area. So when they'd turned up right in front of him he hadn't been expecting it, though it also wasn't unwanted. Looking the other over he nodded slowly. "E-evening." A slight wavering in his voice. He really needed to get used to these people and seeing, and running into, them.

“I apologise for intruding” Athene thought that there had been a slight of hesitation on the other senshi’s part before the taller senshi had responded to his greeting. “I’m Sailor Athene. I picked up that there was another senshi nearby and got curious.” A bit of hesitation on his own part, then he added quietly “However if you’d prefer to be on your own, then I’ll leave you to it.”

"Your not intruding. No sign here saying this is my area and only mine." Biting the inside of his cheek. This was someone like him so no need for him to feel off, plus it was only one person.
"I don't mind you staying here Athene." The dark haired male gave something of a slight smile. Nothing bright or overly large. But he wasn't upset with the others presence. "Sailor Chaldene." Introducing himself in that simple way before glancing around. "We should walk. Your likely to attract attention to yourself and I doubt you want that."

“True” Athene’s return smile was slightly rueful as he started walking again. Chaldene had a point – the butt wings that marked his rank of that of an eternal alone was enough to attract attention – combined as it was with the rest of his senshi outfit and Athene couldn’t help but stick out. “It’s nice to meet you Chaldene” he said after sipping some more of the mocha he’d picked up. “Have you been a senshi long?” The dark-haired eternal knew that just because the other was based-ranked that it didn’t necessarily mean that he was also new.

Chaldene hadn't even been thinking about the wings. The rest of the outfit didn't classify as normal by any means, not here in Destiny City at least. Maybe somewhere else in the world it would work, although he doubted it, it didn't work here. But the wings did stick out as well, he sort of hoped he never got such things. He already stood out with the glow at his chest and at the center of the top of his head. But if he ever got wings he wouldn't be able to do anything anyway, he'd just have to make them work somehow - or hope people thought them a part of the outfit.
"No...a few evenings. Is it somehow obvious?" Suddenly worry filled him at the thought of being some sitting duck and being clueless to the fact. Had he perhaps done something wrong, like walking about so out in the open? He'd not been told otherwise and he'd had no negative incidents, thankfully. But he could have done something wrong. And that was one thing he didn't want to do, he didn't need negative opinions of him or people whispering/talking about him or anything. He'd gotten that enough at school.

Athene shook his head at Chaldene’s question about whether him being new was obvious “Not by aura it isn’t.” Granted the dark-haired eternal may have eventually come to that conclusion during their conversation, but they hadn’t been talking that long. He added “You can tell the difference between chaotic auras – like those from the Negaverse and Dark Mirror and white moon auras – senshi and knights and you can tell different levels of strength – but not how long someone has been at the strength if that makes sense.” Athene wasn’t particularly sure that his explanation did since it had been on the rambling side. “I don’t mind answering questions to the best of my ability if you have any.” Athene figured that if Chaldene’s awakening had been anything like his own then he’d probably been given a henshin pen, phone and told some vague thing about defending justice and preventing soul crystals being stolen – that is not a great deal.

"I think it does...I've never been around someone on the other side - so I don't know what they feel like." And he was used to those senshi with wings at their lower backs. So he knew what they felt like, he was getting used to that feel. Knights were another group he'd never met one from, so he was clueless on them as well. "I've met a few others like you, with the wings."
"Alright. Could I ask first about the Negaverse and the knights? I don't know a lot on either side. I've been lucky, I guess, I haven't run into the terrorists." Referring to the Negaverse. From what he could gather and assume they were the bad guy, thus they were the terrorists in this city. "And where do there powers come from and ours? I'd like to know the differences." He had a lot of questions, he liked information, and he wanted answers. His computer, and the people on it, couldn't provide him any answers so he had to actually be social, or at least try to be, in order to find out his answers.

Athene thought over Chaldene’s questions “I don’t have that much information on the Knights” he admitted. “But from I gather a Knight is what a Negaverse agent would have been if they hadn’t been corrupted. Like us they also have ranks, but theirs are Page, then Squire and finally Knight.” He hesitated before continuing quietly “I’m not sure if you’ve been told about the whole sensing aura thing that we can all do while like this” he gestured at them both, the gesture referring to their powered up states. “But a Page’s aura would feel around the same strength as yours or a Nega Lieutenant, a Squire's aura would feel like a Super or a Nega Captain while that of a Knight would be feel around the same strength as mine or that of a Nega General. I really don't know much about Knight magic – just that Pages don't seem to get any. There's a Knight called Camelot though – he'd probably be able to tell you about Knights and their magic.” He bit his lip before continuing “The Negaverse – they’re bad news.” Maybe there were some okay members there – after Athene remembered hearing about a Nega General who had purified to a Knight – but the dark-haired senshi’s experiences with those of the Negaverse had all been negative. “I’m not sure what their purpose is, but the youma roaming around is linked to them. And the ones I’ve met don’t seem to have any regard for other peoples’ lives.” His voice turned flat “By the way if you sense a Nega General's aura while on your own then you should call for backup. You should probably do it it you sense a Nega Captain too – but there's at least one Nega General that seems to hate anything White Moon – as in really hate.”

"do the two feel the same..? Just one good and one bad?" He asked while pondering over that. Could either side change sides? Like if they changed their mind? Though would anyone actually do that? He somehow didn't think someone good would change sides. But who was good? He liked to think he was and his side but he didn't know, he lacked information on the history of both sides and this war. He didn't like working without knowledge, he was too used to seeking out and putting it to use. So this was new for him.
"Ok, so ranks I can tell by the feel. And I now know the ranks of knights and the other side - though I've never felt them. At least I can puzzle out ranks if I feel anything." Having felt two senshi with wings he knew the strength, or at least liked to think he could judge that. So he should be able to judge someone with less power and maybe what side? Or at least if they were friend or not.
"Maybe I'll look for him...not yet though." Once he was more comfortable, comfortable enough to leave his little safe haven here in a familiar area.
"Youma?" Another foreign sounding word. Senshi being the first and now this one - youma. What did it mean and what was a youma? The youma have no regard or the Negaverse?" He asked, wanting clarification on that even as he nodded to the rest of the senshi's words. "Which General is that? What do they look like?" So he knew to run faster? Be a little louder when calling for help? Yeah, both sounded about right. He didn't need to get caught by someone who sounded really dangerous. He didn't fancy a trip to the ER to be pieces back together like a bloody jigsaw puzzle. And with how serious he'd been gathering this war was he had a feeling that could be a possibility.

Athene nodded “Yes, their auras feel darker than ours. The stronger they are the darker they feel.” He added quietly “And youma are monsters that seemed to be linked to the Negaverse.” Maybe monsters sounded a little too fantastical, but the dark-haired eternal hadn’t been able to think of a better way to label them and wasn’t aware of the fact that they had once been human. “There doesn’t seem to be a set shape or size for them – some of them are small, others can be really big.” The snakepillar youma who had threatened his friend had been one of the bigger ones – it had taken Grus, himself and some help from ********* to dust it. “And I guess both” he admitted to Chaldene’s question. “The youma are dangerous and will attack both civilian and white moon like us, but I was referring to the Negaverse with my comment. The encounters I’ve had with them – their members have mostly been stealing energy, and taking people’s soul crystals – also known as star seeds. They killed a bunch of people at a city council meeting about a year and a half back.” He bit his lip before continuing “And as for the general I don’t know her name, she’s taller than me” not that hard “and has dark hair. She has a few cogs on her uniform, steam punk-ish I guess” he thought it over. “She has one in her hair too with a couple of feathers – like a hair clip.” He hesitated before adding “Negaverse members get weapons. I don’t think it’s much at Lieutenant rank, but above that then they get dangerous – that Nega General – she carries a spear as a weapon and she doesn’t hesitate to use it.” He had the scar to prove it hidden under his uniform.
