Hobbies:
- Singing: Her true love and reason for her occupation. Cecilia has enjoyed singing since she was a child and always enjoyed listening to her father's records of Baccara, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday and tends toward similar songs when she sings. Some of her favorite modern singers are Caro Emerald, Katie Melua, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Vienna Teng, Pink Martini and Lana Del Ray. She has also been known to sing “I Google You” from time to time. Cecilia sings a lot of jazz, but a fair amount of bebop, blues, disco and a few other styles as well. Most of them lounge-appropriate. While she sings a lot of other singers' songs (especially those by her favorite musicians), she does write a few songs of her own and works with instrumentalists to create music to go with the lyrics.
Nobilis: Cecilia doesn't really advertise this, but she likes to role-play. Her system of choice is Nobilis, a setting where you play a character in charge of protecting a Platonic Ideal, one of the building blocks of reality. Cecilia plays with a few friends from college and her current character is in charge of Bullets.
Fashion: Cecilia's style tends to be retro avant-garde, but that doesn't mean she is oblivious to what is fashionable. She just knows that she wants her stage persona to have a 'look' and she finds the glamor of the early to mid-1900s to be most suitable to her. She can often be seen at fashion shows and higher-end fashion boutiques.
Virtues:
- Charming: Cecilia is a social butterfly and usually knows the proper balance between flattery, jibes and chit-chat to charm just about anyone. This has been quite helpful in her career as social graces can sometimes be crucial in earning you success.
Follows her Dreams: Cecilia has worked hard to make her career as successful as it is today. A few years ago, she was still serving cocktails at the la Maison C lounge, but now she's regularly on stage, not just at la Maison C, but around the country! She has a record deal and voices characters in one popular cartoon series, several anime dubs and one major science fiction film. She's not done, yet! Flaws:
- Opportunist: Cecilia lives for herself, first and foremost, and will shove you under the bus (metaphorically, we hope) if it will benefit her. Becoming a celebrity is a cutthroat career path and Cecilia is ready to cut throats. If telling your secrets to a talk show host makes her look good and boosts her popularity, she'll tell every dirty detail. If she drove you to the mall and met a potential career advancement opportunity there, expect her to leave you stranded. She would probably even sell her own family into slavery, if the right opportunity presented itself. This character trait alone has lost Cecilia a few friends.
Manipulative: Cecilia will often use any trick in the book to get what she wants. She finds her charms are often enough, but she has been known to bribe and practically blackmail to get her way as well.
Vain: Cecilia spends a great deal of money and time on her appearance and will be easily miffed if someone remarks poorly on her looks. She has been known to sabotage a person's good time or reputation for such. Everything from wine spilled on your dress to dirty gossip becomes fair game. She'll kick a puppy that pees on her shoes. She'll kick it so hard.
