[JRP] New to Pride Life (Buluu and Ajani)

Buluu's roaming rogue heart was still adjusting to his new life within a pride. He had not ever imagined himself living in a pride much less being one of it's leaders. Sometimes he still looked back trying to figure out how he got to this position. He knew he would never trade the love of his life or his cubs for anything but he still couldn't help but miss roaming to new places and seeing new things.

In the few months he had been in just this prides lands he had just about mapped out the outer rim of the prides crater like territory. Today he was exploring the cavernous underground and so far he really was liking it. He had been in a few caverns before but nothing like the one running under this pride. He stood at the edge of the underground spring gazing across it's clear waters. It was peacefully serene and just absolutely beautiful.

A sigh escaped his maw and he sat down there at the waters edge. His life was completely different from anything he had ever experienced now. He knew deep down he had made a good decision to follow love but it was going to take him a while to get used to staying in one place. He just hoped being a leader wouldn't be lonelier than being a loner. He was a social being and he just hoped that the other members of the pride he was going to be helping to lead would be friendly.

How long had it been since he been in the caverns, Ajani pondered as he entered. His walk was graceful, hardly making a sound. This had been his first time in the caverns since he had returned from his last mission. Upon returning he had found out that the boss lady, one of his closest friends Emi had found a mate. It was a delight, yet a shocking surprise. He was glad that she had found love.

He had heard about the new boss, but only meet him briefly before heading on his mission. Being a council member, he was sure they would be seeing more of each other. He would allow time to be the decider of when their meeting would happen. For now he felt that he needed some time to think about his own life and the choices he had made and needed to make. He had started to develop feelings toward one of his old commissioners, something that hardly happened to entertainers. Now that he was a council member he was still seeing her, but in secret. He wasn't sure what was going to happen between them, but he hoped for the best for her.

As he stepped into the cavern with one of the springs, he stopped when he noticed another cheetah. He gave a friendly smile when he recognized the cheetah as the new boss. “Hello Buluu,” Ajani greeted before sitting down. “Do you mind if I join you?”

Buluu tensed a bit when he heard someone speak behind him. He hadn't heard the individual approach and was started a bit by the others voice. The voice was male and when he turned his head to look at the male he recognized him. He didn't know the male very well but he remembered seeing him at a council meeting before but it had been a while back when he had first come to the pride. He had to search his brain for the male's name but it took him only a moment to remember it.

"Of course not Ajani. Please join me." He replied with a friendly grin. At times he got this nagging feeling from others of the pride that they were intimidated or possibly just nervous around him. He really didn't like it when he got that vibe but he tried hard to make himself personable so others would relax around him. If he was going to be living here he wanted to know that his presence was enjoyed. "So how are things going for you Ajani?"

Ajani sat down next to the new boss. “Things are going well enough.” He said with a polite smile. It was partially true. Everything in his professional life was going smoothly. When he joined 'Nera he had no idea that one day he would be a council member. He was proud of his accomplishment. However personal life was a different story, but he wasn't about to bring that up to the new boss. He was sure Buluu had other things to worry about. “How about you Boss Buluu? How are you adjusting to pridal life?” He hoped that he was doing well. As the new boss lady Emi needed someone strong to support her. He had faith in both the bosses and knew that they would become strong and great leaders in time. Anything he could do to help he would be sure to do it.

Buluu nodded at Ajani’s vague answer to his question. It wasn’t surprising to him that the male would keep his answer vague and fairly impersonal after all they barely knew each other at the moment. Whatever personal problems Ajani might have he was sure that Ajani would keep them to himself. He however would need to be somewhat open to gain any trust from others of the pride. They would only become open to him if he showed he trusted them with his thoughts. “I would have to say everything is going well. Pridal life isn’t quite as exciting as rogue life but I wouldn’t change my decision to come here for the world.” Buluu replied with a smile to Ajani.
