Going out really wasn't his thing, he'd much prefer sitting behind his computer screen typing away, but tonight wasn't a night for that. Having no set plans on his computer he figured he should go out and try out this...senshi thing. It sounded odd, the word and the thought. He'd seen enough about these senshi, and others, on the news but from his internet prowling there was little to no information on anything that was happening in his city. Even more annoying was that what little information there was couldn't be trusted to bee the truth. Now it seemed he'd gain some information, truth, on these things. Tonight was a night to not find answers per say but rather a night to explore and get comfortable in this new skin, or was it just new clothing?
He felt different like this, nothing bad, and he wanted to explore and wander the city at night in this new self.
Figuring his clothing was normal enough in appearance Chaldene had no problem walking down the side walk. He thought he looked normal enough, the style allowing for the oddness of his uniform - thus normal for him and to be seen for the style. Not thinking he stood out at all, aside from perhaps the whiteness of his clothing, Chaldene was comfortable walking down the sidewalks especially with how late it was, around midnight so no one would really be out and about. This was the same time, or around the same time, that he'd been found by that talking cat. He still couldn't believe a cat could talk; and yet he'd seen and heard it.

Spring had come and with it warmer weather. Even at midnight, when few dared venture out into Destiny City's streets, the heat was present, but she welcomed it more than winter's chill. Her upgrade made her better suited for this weather now, and the hem of her short dress waved slightly in the breeze. Eternal Sailor Pasiphae stifled a yawn as she headed towards that aura, a spot of internal brightness that stood out to her against the dark. Normally, the girl would be asleep in her bed. She was not much of a night owl. Yet, she had sworn that she would not let an ally stand alone if she could help it... and however little she felt she could do, she could at least keep her own oath. The sight of the male Senshi was welcome, and she took only a moment to admire his blue fuku before approaching. Taking iniative was always hard, but Pasiphae had already climbed out of her bedroom window, snuck into an alley to transform, and had hunted down the Senshi before her. An increasingly normal part of her life, but a pleasant one. She waved in greeting and offered her warmest smile, "Hello... would you care for some company?" He could always say no, of course. Then she'd offer to call him someone else. Either way, she hoped he would see that she was just trying to give him a warm welcome.

A complete, or as much as he could be, night owl Ian was suited to being up late at night. He wasn't suited to being out and about, as he was normally curled up in a chair in front of his computer, but tonight was not the same as other nights. He was out and it wasn't even on a food run!
Chaldene was surprised by what had been approaching him, and then stopped in front of him, even more surprising was that she was asking if he wanted company. So she was the same as him. "Company would be...nice." Putting himself out there he hoped this evening went well, now that he had company.
Closing the short distance between them he offered a hand, all the while playing with the backing to the right facial piercing. Prodding at it with his tongue and closing his teeth around the backing. Finally he spoke again. "Chaldene."Quicksilver the Archangel

The silence between them was one that seemed difficult to break. Penelope could fill the silence,no problem, but what if he didn't like chatter? What if he was trying to build up his confidence to begin asking questions or to strike up conversation? ... what if she was bothering him?! She really, really didn't want to be bothering him! She could see the piercing fiddling and tried not to show any disgust. She didn't really like piercings--even getting her ears pierced had been a major decision. Mostly the dark-haired girl worried about infection... the thought of it made her wince slightly. The drop of the name, however, made the Shame Senshi's eyes widen as an entirely new emotion took over. Chaldene? That was... well, she'd have to check her encyclopedia to be absolutely certain, but at the moment she was about 85% certain that was the name of another moon of Jupiter. Which meant that, for the first time, the Jovian who had herself been recruited to their group would have to act as recruiter. Oh dear. "Chaldene... it's nice to meet you. I'm Pasiphae." The easy part of introduction was over. Oh... why wasn't she with Kallichore or Europa? They had been the ones to introduce her to the group! "Um... I hope you don't mind me asking, but... would you like to come patrolling with me? It can be dangerous, being alone." No need to ask right away--maybe he didn't want a group. There were plenty of Senshi who didn't. Maybe if she could represent the Jovians well, though... Chaldene would want to join them too?

While she might worry about infections and find piercings disgusting he rather liked them. He'd seen them, the facial ones, on someone else and found them attractive so had gone about getting them added to the industrial he already had. It was a matter of seeing and liking something so getting it, not an act of doing something to fit in like some might think. Everything he wore was what he liked, not decided or in any way influenced by friends.
"Pasiphae..." It felt odd saying that name, a bit of a nuisance really. But he liked the name, sounded nice. Biting his lip, giving up his piercing fiddling for outright biting his bottom lip, he finally nodded and lifted a hand to brush his hair away from his one green eye. "Yeah...I guess..." It wasn't that he was hesitant or even turned off by her. It was simply a matter of shyness and not being social really. He didn't know how to start things or what to say or not to say with people.
"Company would be nice..." Finding the pockets his pants had his hands were stuffed into them deeply. "I'm not good with people - just so you know ahead of time." No, he really wasn't good with people and it was painfully obvious and he felt it. He almost felt like he should run and hide back home - nice and safe. And not come out again. He just felt odd.Quicksilver the Archangel

Pasiphae always felt like she was being judged most of the time, and she was certain that this moment was no exception. Added to her normal insecurity was the pressure of having to be the one to initiate him not only into Senshi life, but potentially into the Jovians as well. One of those tasks was trying enough, much less both! Still... what was most important was that someone was there to help him adjust. To make sure he was safe. That was all she truly wanted. The more experienced Senshi's expression softened as she carefully listened to the few words Chaldene was willing to give. She certainly knew what it was to feel like one wasn't good with people. She didn't consider herself good with people either, despite her best efforts. But if she had one characteristic it was her willingness to try despite her doubts. So, she stretched out a gray-gloved hand out and up to guide him as she replied with a smile, "That's okay. I'm not... really good with people either. Shall we go?" The wing-adorned girl leapt up to the top of the nearest building. Best to start with something basic, and learning to move about above the city would help avoid people, which he seemed ot want.

"Ok." So she was similar to him. Than she understood and wouldn't be offended if he didn't say much, or said something wrong. That was good to know, comforting in some small manner. He always worried with new people, he'd had enough incidents of unintentionally upsetting someone or making someone uncomfortable.
Watching her leap up onto a roof top he stared up at her, tilting his head up to stare. "You expect me to join you up there?" He asked in disbelief. Could he actually do what he'd just seen her do? It didn't seem possible, just like a talk cat...So maybe it was possible. Shaking his head he wondered if it was just like jumping or if he needed to like put more force into his jump. "You made that look rather easy, is it that easy?" He asked while he glanced around, looking for anyone out on the street or any parted blinds or curtains. Seeing nothing he heaven a sigh of relief. He liked to keep people from knowing what he was, it was why he was walking around like he should be here and walking around as he was.Quicksilver the Archangel

"Yes," came the simple answer to his question, as Pasiphae motioned for him to follow. Jumping in a relatively safe location seemed the best way for him to learn about his increased strength and agility. Once he mastered the basic tasks, he'd be able to do much more. "If you come up here, then you can move around the city without people below seeing you." Okay, so maybe calling down all these instructions wasn't the smartest way to go about things. The Shame Senshi realized how awkward--and potentially attention getting--that would be. Maybe she was going too fast... maybe she really should call someone. Feeling somewhat foolish, she leapt back down and apologized, "Sorry... I thought if you didn't like to talk, maybe some hands on learning would be better instead?" The girl paused to allow him time to answer, to tell her what he wanted to do. She was there to help and every eager to please! Still, she reassured him, "You don't have to if you don't want to, but... you can make that jump now. It's not too high. I wouldn't try anything over three or four stories until you become Super, though... not unless you train your way up."

Shaking his head at the senshi as she rejoined him on the sidewalk. "N-no it's fine. I just...it seems impossible to jump that high. I mean this whole magic thing I guess could make it possible but I didn't see anything magic - though I suppose magic isn't always visible." And he was rambling, and he knew it, but he was thinking aloud really. It was a habit of his and what he often did, especially when nervous. Prodding at the back of his piercing, the left one this time, he shook his head. "
"Is it really so easy? I mean jumping as high as that?" Indicting the roof she'd just been atop of. "What about the jump? I mean I don't want to over jump it...or not make it and look foolish and come up short..." How much force was needed. Was it as simple as a normal jump, a hop, or what?
"And how high can you jump? You said higher as a super...but how high can you go? I mean...I'm assuming your a super...or maybe something more?" So he was clueless on ranks and what those wings meant. Lowering his head, just a bit, as he tugged at his left sleeve with his right hand much like a small child would.Quicksilver the Archangel

The Senshi nodded, her smile gentle, "I understand. It can be overwhelming, at first, but... I promise, I won't have us do anything on patrol that I don't think you're ready for. Or that you don't think you're ready for." Because the latter was equally important, as far as Pasiphae was concerned. At his further questioning, she crouched a bit to demonstrate. Pointing to her knees and thighs with a slight blush (because drawing attention to herself was still somewhat hard), she replied, "You prepare your legs like this, to propel you up. It's... um... sort of like jumping and leaping? If you just hop with no direction or strength, then you'll hop high but... really, it'll just be a hop." Force was harder to explain, and she chewed on her lower lip slightly as she considered it. "Um... you don't have to try TOO hard, but it has to be focused? I.... that might not make much sense, but if you keep practicing, it'll eventually become second nature." Pasiphae looked startled at the question regarding her status, not because she was in any way offended but because rank had never meant much to her. Well, that was only slightly true. She respected those of higher rank very much and would always be courteous towards them. However, she never looked down on anyone of lesser rank. If she were to be fully honest with herself, deep in her heart she still felt like a Sailor, for all her trappings of an Eternal. She could not equate herself with Ganymede, Europa, Kallichore, or Chaonis--all her mentors, all who bore the same winged symbol. In short, it had honestly never occurred to her to introduce herself as anything other than 'Pasiphae,' because 'Pasiphae' is all she had ever been able to accept herself as being when she had finally accepted her role as Senshi. Still, to clarify, she explained, "I'm actually an Eternal--I'm sorry, I should have asked if you had any questions! Senshi come in.... well, four ranks. Sailor, Super, Eternal, and then Princess or Prince." With the ranking system out of the way, she admitted, "I'm not really sure how high I can jump... I've never really tested my limits. But I know I can jump higher now than when I started. I'm stronger, too--physically, I mean. Your attack gets stronger, too... have you tried to do that, yet?"

The idea that she wasn't going to push him into anything was nice, comforting, and calmed him a little. He didn't want to be drown in doing things and learning things. He wanted to learn, and do things, but being thrown into them would just drown him, make it hard to remember things and get it all to a comfort level where he could handle it.
"So nothing like you'd expect to do if your doing a high jump?" He asked as he listened, and watched, the female senshi. Yeah, it might seem like an odd question. But how was he to know what amount of force he needed to put into the jump? It would be very odd, and highly embarrassing, if he didn't make it or went too high. "I think I can get what your saying. But at least I know I don't need to like really put force behind the jump." A hope was very different from jumping as though doing a high jump, at least he thought that.
Nodding his head at her listing of the ranks, ok so while Sailor, Super, and Eternal sounded a little lame. I mean none of them were sailors, super at what, and what was eternal about them? He at least knew the other. And he knew there was royalty, but what did they rule? He didn't ask though, he'd find out in due time he was sure. "So you gain in those areas as you gain in rank - makes sense. Just like any game, you gain in skill as you gain in rank. "
Here he now shook his head. "No...I've not yet... I think I'd rather get a hang of other things first...just so I don't mess things out. I mean shouldn't I start with the simplest of things rather than jump to the biggest thing."Quicksilver the Archangel

Pasiphae shook her head, frowning in thought as she tried to explain, "No, not like a high jump. More like... um, Golden Age Superman, if you've ever seen him?" It was worth a shot, and the whole 'leap tall buildings in a single bound' was popular culture enough that most people would know it, she assumed. "The force can go up or down, depending on how high--or far--you want to jump. When you jump from roof top to roof top, that's more like a long jump." She wanted to emphasize to him that this war was not a game, but... she understood his analogy, coutesy of Harper's playing of them. So, she bit back any clarification for fear that she might scare him. He needed to be cautious, but... not scared. Pasiphae nodded, completely understanding his reasoning. Magic could be a little intimidating--or very intimidating, depending on what it could do--so she thought his decision a wise one. "Okay, that sounds like a good idea. Whenever you're ready to find out, it'll still be there. For now, let's just try the jump. I'll go up again, and then you follow." The Jovian tried to make sure the leap this time was slow, observable. She had never tried to teach this way before... and it did make her nervous. But Chaldene seemed smart and capable. If it turned out that he just couldn't work with her because her instruction wasn't all that good, she could call in someone else... if he was okay with that, of course. She didn't want to scare him or overwhelm him. Perched somewhat close to the edge, Pasiphae beckoned the male Senshi to follow. Her confidence in him was never in doubt, and it showed in her encouraging smile.

"Clueless." He said shaking his head. "But superman, the whole leap tall buildings bit?" He asked. That single saying he knew. It was one of those cultural things that people who had no clue about anything surrounding it still knew. Sort of the like the "I am your father" phrase, and the way in which is was said. People who had never seen Star Wars still knew that phrase and used it, and even got how it was said right.
"Ok, so the jumping makes sense now." And that was good. He wanted, and sort of needed he supposed, to get some of these little foot steps taken. He couldn't, and wouldn't, leap right into things but he did need to take footsteps - even if they were baby ones.
Watching her he was thankful for her demonstration, he did learn better by seeing things. He was a rather visual person, he couldn't find his way to a place by car when given verbal directions consisting of north, south, east, west or left and right and street names. He went by landmarks, buildings and stores and such when combined with go left and right or straight. It made driving a little...trying when people gave him directions as most thought in terms of the four cardinal directions.
Looking up at her smiling face he nodded and flashed her a smile back. "I think I can do that." He'd watched the legs and how they'd moved and figured about what he needed to give, force wise, n order to make it up. And so when he bent his own legs, he was confident he'd make it up there, he didn't worry about making a fool of himself when he sprang up and he was happy, almost wanted to dance even, when he landed on the ledge of the roof top.
Looking back over his shoulder, and down, he took in the sight of the pavement below before he looked forward and down before plopping down and sitting on the ledge. "That was cool." And he was smiling brightly.Quicksilver the Archangel

Pasiphae moved back a few steps to allow Chaldene more room on the roof as he made his jump. He looked confident and at ease as he moved. When he landed and she could see the bright smile on his face, along with his declaration, her own smile spread even wider. "You did really well! I'm sure you'll get the hang of everything much faster than I did." Not because she was a good teacher, heaven's no. Just because he seemed to have a natural aptitude for what he set his mind to do. Seeing his joy also reminded her of some of her own initial excitement at being a Senshi. She had always been plagued with insecurities, but there were perks to having their powers. The ability to walk around and see the city at night, to travel through space to distant moons and even to Earth's own moon. Pasiphae wished that more of her time was spent in these endeavors, and less fighting. But it was not her decision to make. And she was not about to introduce her new friend to such worrying things. Not yet. There would be plenty of time for her to tell him in the future. "What would you like to do now?"

He was happy he'd made it, and not wound up landing badly, not making it, or anything else. The fact he'd made it and landed fairly well had the dark haired teen happy and smiling. Moving off the roof ledge he walked around casually, as if this were a normal thing. He supposed this would become normal and while now it was odd, strange even, he'd get used to being on the roof of peoples homes and businesses.
"Umm....could we try moving from this roof top to another. I'd like to get comfortable with it and moving. I mean if this is normal...and we have enemies I should learn how to move across them faster - right?" He asked curious even as his cheeks flushed a soft pinkish red hue.
"I don't want to be umm...caught by one and unable to get away this way...or fall and get hurt." And going from roof top to roof top seemed like it would open up more places and directions for him to go. With streets you had turns to make, alley ways and dead ends and such. If he had to run it might be a better idea, though when out on his own he was sure he'd still be walking the sidewalks.Quicksilver the Archangel
