David sat on the couch in Iggy's room, frowning but happy at the same time but also nervous. Who knew, one night of 'learning' about each other's body would lead them to their current predicament. He lightly touched his belly, which was now holding life. He wasn't sure how Iggy would react and he found it necessary to move in with the alpha. Now their lives had to be rearranged to incorporate the children on top of monitoring the pack. He leaned back against the couch and waited patiently for Iggy to return.

Ignatius had been putting in some extra time patrolling and doing various pack-related things. Most would probably assume that it was out of a sense of guilt or duty, but those that knew him better would believe that it was more likely from new-found motivation. He and David had been more... subdued in public, so it wasn't necessarily easy to guess. Iggy especially attempted wholeheartedly to put the pack first, at least whenever it might come up. But in private, he preferred not to speak of it at all. Time spent with David was for David and himself.
When he came home this time, he was delighted to see David already waiting for him on the couch. He noticed the tension coursing through his beloved beta like an aggressive undertow, but pushed any worry aside for now, locking the door behind him as second nature. Then slinking over to him hopped up next to David with a soft purr. "David," he nuzzled him happily, "how was your day?"

David's ears flicked as he heard Iggy come in, he smiled and nuzzled into the alpha. "Mmm... My day has been purrfect" he put in happily. He looked at the other "how was your day of patrolling? Any issues arise amongst the pack?" He asked curiously. He flicked his tail to and fro idly, as he waited for a reply. Now that he thought about it he probably should have gone with Iggy. He wasn't sure whether they would go out individually or together when it came to patrolling.
He needed figure that out, if anything they would be taking turns patrolling the pack. Or at least that was what he assumed. He needed to clarify that. "I feel i should have gone with you, you know being the beta and all" he put in thoughtfully.

"I'm glad," he chuckled, honestly thinking David's pun use adorable. He curled up more comfortable, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "It was an uneventful day. Nothing came up, though there is a new cat in town I have yet to see. I hope to meet him soon."
He watched David carefully for a moment as he spoke of going out with Ignatius, as the beta. "Surely you would go out and perform your duties, with or without me?" he inquired. "Though we are together like this, our duties should not change. Do you feel differently?"

"as per usual,I don't think there has been much going on. Although..I think I have some news for you that will brighten your day" he told him, he would just say it without beating around the bush.
It took a moment for him to understand what the alpha was saying "er..I think the correct answer is yes" he said thoughtfully. He shook his head at the alpha's last comment "no of course I don't" he said unsure if that was the correct answer. To be honest he was not completely understanding what Iggy was saying so he put it s little less complicated "no I do not feel that our duties should change" he stated politely.

Iggy chuckled, "I'm not testing you. Just do what you'd normally do as beta. If you want to go out on patrol with me, you're welcome to!" he said, kissing David's hair. "Now what good news do you have?" He was curious, no doubt about it. He watched David with huge eyes and a curling tail.

David glances at Iggy and curls up againest him "that we're going to be parents" he told him and frowned a bit " i hope you're okay with that" he told the alpha. He flicked his tail to amd fro idly as he waited for a response. At least they would have children who were purely Iggy and David related and that pleased him greatly, he wasn't sure if Iggy wanted that too.
They hadn't actually discussed the idea of having kids but he was happy that they, did when they were born purely of Iggy and David blood. He lightly smiled.

In all honesty, Iggy's eyes couldn't have gotten any wider, but he sure felt like they had. "P...parents?" He was going to be a father again? And David... "David's going to be a mommy!" Admittedly, he had never met David's former mate, so he couldn't be certain just who Angelito's father had been. But what was not a mystery was that this should happen eventually. That was not to say that he was looking to start a family before finally settling down with David, it just seemed like a natural evolution of their life together.
He was all smiles nuzzling David again and hugging him closely. "You're right, that did brighten my day, which is definitely an understatement," he purred. In fact he was quite excited and could hardly contain himself. So he simply held David.

David blew out a sigh of relief "I was worried, you wouldn't be okay with it" He put in but decided not to ruin the moment so he just snuggled against the alpha purring. "Can you believe it, actual children blood related to us" he said excitedly. He swished his tail to and fro idly as he happily purred. His patrolling would need to be down to the minimum up until the children were born.
"i'm glad it did, you looked like you needed some cheering up" he put in still purring. His wings flitted lightly as he snuggled close to the alpha. This was going to definitely be an adventure and it gave them something to do off duty other then spending time with each other.

"Of course I'm okay with it," Iggy replied with a happy smile and kissed David's nose. "Honestly I wasn't surprised that it should happen, it seemed to me that we would have kids eventually... just not so soon," he added with a contented sigh. He watched David's excitement with a grin. He was so glad that David was happy about this. He wanted things to go right for the two of them. He wanted Keahi and Angelito to enjoy any new siblings that should come of this relationship. There were a lot of wishes he was putting into this short moment of time, but he had always wanted more than anything for those around him to be happy and satisfied in their lives. Maybe this would be the start of such days.
"Mmm, I can't say that the pack situation in general would make me happy nowadays, but it's always best to be available just in case something comes up. But now that we have new priorities to think of, perhaps our patrolling can be scaled back. There's no need to look for trouble." Then he grinned and chanced it to touch David's belly with a warm paw. "Soon enough we'll have lots of 'trouble,' won't we?" he chuckled, curling up with David whn the beta snuggled up close.

David grinned as well as Iggy touched his belly with the warmth of his paw, he enjoyed the warmth the alpha gave off, it made him feel relaxed and comfortable. He purred and continued to snuggle with the alpha. He wasn't sure how to tell Angelito and Keahi about their new siblings but he didn't want to ruin the moment so they would probably deal with it soon. Right now he was enjoying the company of his alpha.
"well, I don't think it ever does..since we rarely get our pack members coming to us for solutions and what not" he put in thoughtfully. The activity of their pack coming to them for anything was scarce, which gave the two so much leeway to do what they can up until a problem arose. He shifted and lightly ran a hand through the alpha's hair. Before nodding his head in agreement "I agree with you there" he put in before lightly placing a paw on top of Iggy's on his belly "Indeed..we will...our home life will definitely get more hectic and busy with them" he put in.

"No, I suppose it doesn't. It isn't completely fruitless. I strike up all kinds of conversations based solely on the fact that 'I'm your alpha, nice to meet you!' Sounds like a pick-up line, doesn't it?" he chuckled sheepishly and sighed. "But no more of that for tonight, my dear. As you say, soon enough our household will increase in size by half or more, and will we ever be busy! We need to make the most of our time."

David nodded his head agreeing with the alpha before shifting his position and leaning back against the couch. "yes that does sound like pick up line, but you are already taken" he purred. He smiled he liked the fact that both him and Iggy referred to Iggy's room as our. "indeed it will and once that happens we will have less time with each other because we will be taking care of the babies" he put in.

"Ah..." Iggy froze and realized that David was absolutely right. He had thought about this very thing. He had always wondered if he was even capable of loving just one person like tis. The answer was yes, and that person was sitting here right next to him. As these thoughts flowed through his mind like the very water David controlled, his grin grew wider and toothier all the time. This was complete bliss. "You're right, I am 100% taken. It's only 100 because another twenty percent goes to Keahi, and here," he said softly, placing his paw over David's belly again. Kittens! He was so excited! "Taking care of little ones again, that will be amazing. I love watching them grow and become their own people exploring the world." Nevermind that he had only been able to see such a complete development in Keahi. But that was life. This time would be different, he told himself. This time their children would grow up together with their parents happily together.

David nodded his head "Indeed you are and that would make sense. My love is 100% for you but part of it goes to Angelito and well our kittens in my belly" he said with a nod before purring at the warmth.
"I enjoy watching little ones grow up too" he said an frowned a bit "but time goes by so quickly" he said thinking about it thoughtfully. He wasn't a fan of Angelito growing up quickly, he had enjoyed him being young and dependent on him. But having new little ones on the way brought joy to him. "I just hope they don't grow up too fast" he said before planting a light kiss on the alpha's cheek.
