If anyone every ran their fingers across a comb or bush to get that repeated thrrrrriiip sound near cats their tongues will start sticking out uncontrollably. They don't seem to notice this immediately and will try to hide it from embarrassment when they do. I tried this on a serval once at a petting zoo and it did the same thing. Anyone know why they do this?
If you meant the serval I was talking about no, lol more like this....
and the uncontrollable tongue sticking is not that either. Try rubbing a hard comb or brush next to your cat and see what happens.
He just mews at me and tries to eat the brush. D:
Try it with a long hard plastic comb and stay about 1-2 feet away from your cat and watch his/her mouth. Seem to start after you get a certain higher sound frequency on it. You can see them trying to hide their tongue from coming out but after a while they start sticking it it out.

Thank You good Sir/Ma'am! I know have a new activity to experiment with! emotion_hug
The comb has to make a long thrrrripppp sound. Go right up to your cat while they are laying around and do it near their face repeatedly. They should start to stick their tongue out like lapping air then eventually they will start sticking the entire length out. At this point they will try to hide it by licking themselves, hiding their face or yawn.
